This could've been at least a 4 star for the food and design of the restaurant but the service dropped it to a 3. We went on Father's Day which was busy but we had extended waits and lack of service. We checked in for 2 and they said it would be 30-40 mins, which was no problem. When it went past 45 mins we went to the hostess table because we hadn't heard anything. They were able to seat us shortly after. We sat down and we're greeting quickly. We hadn't had time to look at the menu so we just ordered waters with lemon and told our waitress we'd be ready when she came back. She came back with the waters and no lemon. She said she would drop off some food and be back to take our order. She did not come back. I had to flag her down 15 mins later. We then ordered a spiked cold brew, the Hey Lucy omelette and crab benedict and asked for lemons. She didn't write anything down. About 20 mins went by and my drink still wasn't delivered nor were the lemons. We asked another waitress at that time if she could find our waitress and locate the drink and lemons. She did which was great. Then another roughly 30 mins went by before our food came. One dish was incorrect so she had to take it back. At this point I had waited over an hour from the time we ordered food to eat. Other tables that ordered after us received their food before us. I have waitressed for many years and if my food takes over an hour it should be comped. Now to the good part, the spiked cold brew was delicious and my dad enjoyed his omelette. He said it was flavorful with the chorizo and the salsa was good on it. I liked the crab in my benedict but I think the Cajun benedict sauce would've been better with shrimp. I wish I would've asked for the herb benedict sauce instead. It was all made well but I would try something different next time. The patio is cute for nice days and it's still a great spot for brunch! read more

2nd time here but 1st time for lunch. And lunch was just as delicious as breakfast. Customer service was outstanding and friendly. Greeted immediately with some smiling faces. We sat outside on the beautiful patio with nice tables, chairs and a small couch seating area, umbrellas and a small fire decoration type thing that wasn't on. The lunch menu is definitely smaller than breakfast. I got the Sonoma Club Sandwich which was ham, turkey, baked bacon, guacamole, cheddar jack cheese, tomato and red onion on white or grain. The bacon is nicely crisped. Love it. Bread was toasted. Everything was super fresh. I did get a side of their amazing grits. Gouda cheese, bacon, scallions, tomatoes. So creamy, so gouda. :) Definitely need to check them out for either breakfast or lunch. read more

Ambience and the wait staff were very nice. Food and management could use improvement. The potatoes are hard and the seasonal meal with Brussel sprouts was scarce, two Brussels sprouts no lie in a big plate of potatoes. Also got a an English muffin and it was burnt. Tried Another Broken Egg today for breakfast! There was no wait at 11AM on a Sunday, so that was a plus! I had the Sunrise Spinach Scrambler with country potatoes, a biscuit instead of an English muffins, and added a 2 stack of buttermilk pancakes! The food was delicious! My only complaint would be the pancakes were really dry.. seemed almost overcooked. I had the Colombian roast coffee, and if you don't like a super dark roast, I would not recommend because it is strong! The caramel cold brew was also TO DIE FOR! Too bad you don't get free refills. Menu was extensive! So many options it took a while to choose. I asked the server what was best between the Mardi Gras omelette and the lobster and Brie. She suggested the lobster and Brie and it was not my cup of tea. Flavor was great but I personally did not enjoy the Brie. The bourbon st pancakes are amazing!!! Must try. The strawberry pound cake French toast was a little dry but good. The crabcake Benedict was a no for the table. We enjoyed the mimosa but the pitcher will fill about 3.5 half glasses. Came during the week and there was no wait and everything was calm. The food was delicious and them city grits had us coming back for seconds. The bartender was particularly rude and I know they were busy, but we went out of our way to be nice and accommodating. I've really never seen such a disaster in a restaurant in my entire life. Plus how intentionally rude the bartender was to us was out of control. We waited for over an hour for breakfast food and when it came out it had to be sent back. They were not even busy. The eggs were scrambled after we asked them to be over easy. First of all, the ambience was excellent. We were expecting a great meal. But that was not what we experienced. First, the man who met us and seated us was not having a good day. He took us to a table that was wobbly, and we asked for a different table. He was not happy about that. The first person you meet in a restaurant can set the tone for the rest of the time there. Our waitress was very courteous and professional, but service was very slow. We arrived around 11:30 AM and the restaurant was not crowded. The service should have been faster. I noticed patrons at other tables were equally displeased. The food was disappointing. The "fluffy" pancakes were rubbery. The bacon was cold and too salty. The southern fried chicken sandwich was merely four chicken tenders on bun with two slices of tomato. We did not eat all of our food; we didn't want to risk it. Finally, when I opened my silverware, that was wrapped in a napkin, the fork was dirty. Not a good sign. We will not be going back. The other local restaurants, "The No Frill Grill", Baker's Crust, Taste, and First Watch are much better. This restaurant needs to work on its procedures and customer service. read more
