I love going to coffee shops that have my name in them ;)…read more No but for real, Yemeni and Turkish coffees and teas anyways hit the spot. Pair that with my love of pistachio, and you've got a match made in heaven. This place looks ethnic, modern and clean. There's a painting of a woman on the wall who stares over us as we eat cake. We were lucky enough to come on a gloomy afternoon, my favorite a way to go to a coffee place. I tried a multitude of desserts, and they were all good. We also had four separate drinks, and they were all good. The cheesecake, milk cake and honeycomb bread were all good. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Overall- would definitely go here again!

The pistachio latte was not overpowering at all and you could definitely taste the nuttyness! Not overly sweet which is perfect for me! The pistachio mousse was very thick and rich. My party of friends all enjoyed sampling them both. Our group also tried their Mufawaar medium roast coffee with cardamom & cream (not shown) per the cashier's recommendation. We really did appreciate his rundown of the menu. However, the iced Mufawaar was VERY watery much to our disappointment. Very much everyone in my group's least favorite. The lotus milkcake (not shown) was delicious Interior I will say I was impressed at how big the space was. Very clean, ideal for some work / study. Beautiful patio outside if this Texas heat wasn't so terrible! Overall I have to give it a 4.2~/5. I think their cake selection is great along with their pistachio featured items

A lot of things are self serve, napkins and utensils. After ordering, there's a pick up counter for your food and drinks. The cafe is in a very nice spot. It would have been much easier if we'd been directed to that menu first. There were also photos of drinks displayed on the counter without prices, so we had to ask about each one. The staff had to enter every drink into the computer just to tell us the price. We ordered two drinks, a ham and cheese croissant, a lemon blueberry loaf, and two macarons. We received the drinks and macarons, but nothing else. We waited about 10 minutes, assuming someone would call us when the rest of our order was ready, but no one ever did. I finally went back to the counter, and the employee said, "Oh, I thought the other girl did it." While we were waiting, I had plenty of time to look around. The tables, booths, and chairs were dirty. There was food on the tables and floor, and the front door looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. One employee was sitting on what appeared to be her personal laptop, laughing and watching something instead of helping customers or cleaning. I remember working in food service years ago, and one thing that was drilled into us was, "If you have time to lean, you have time to clean." That definitely didn't seem to apply here. The food itself was okay, but having to remind the staff to finish our order was disappointing. You're asked to tip before you've received any service, yet everything is self-service and no one checks on you. I don't mind self-service at all when it's organized and the restaurant is clean, but this experience felt disorganized from start to finish. I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I left more frustrated than impressed.

Traffic to get in and out is horrible! Parking is a struggle on busy days. Fortunately, once you park here, you can pretty much grab some drinks, baked goods, play claw machines, go grocery shopping, etc. Trung Nguyen serves espressos, matcha, phin coffee, phin drips, teas, and white coffee (lighter version). Toppings are $1-$1.50 and includes grass jelly, coffee jelly, cream, single shot, or extra matcha. I've tried their egg coffee, coconut coffee, ube coffee, pandan coffee, and black sesame. Although I love all of them, my current fav is the black sesame! YUM!! I've yet to try their matcha and teas, but Trung Nguyen is always on our list whenever we're in town- so I will for sure try their other drinks at one point or another. Viet coffee is everywhere in Houston (and I love that). With Trung Nguyen, your drinks are consistent, and you can always count on getting the strongest coffee (not watered down) whenever you get their coffee.

This is a great spot to get some solo work done or meet with a group. It is not too loud, and they are located within a strip so parking is plentiful. Their menu had a wide variety of hot/cold drinks and sweet treats that you'd typically find in a Yemeni coffee shop, all reasonably priced. The pistachio latte was good, nothing extra memorable but it was what I was looking for in the moment. Keeping this place in mind next time I plan to work remotely from River Oaks (:

Iced pistachio latte ($7.50) - This latte had a strong pistachio flavor and had almost a buttery feel to it. I really enjoyed it and it was one of the better pistachio lattes that I have tried. Dubai chocolate ($6) - This consisted of a large milk chocolate bar filled with rich pistachio cream and kataifi (crispy shredded phyllo dough). It tasted amazing and much better than most places selling these. Pricing was reasonable. Overall I enjoyed my latte and dessert. The interior has some Yemeni decor and there is quite a bit of seating. The only negative is that I wish they had more sweet and snack offerings.

Portions are large/filling and we felt the food was delicious and a good value for money. When we arrived the line was long and menus were not available so we had to search for the menu on the website to avoid deciding at the counter and holding up the people behind us. After ordering, tables were cleaned consistently and service was friendly. Only feedback about seating was outside parties would take chairs from other tables and leave them with no seating and not all tables we're shaded. The drinks being available at the bar when it is busy and then food being delivered to the table was a bit clunky. I picked up water and utensils for our party before sitting and would have preferred to have to pick everything up at the counter or have everything brought to the table to avoid multiple trips around when the restaurant is busy.

IMPRESSED! Matcha…read moredrinks here are so good! My children love them and want to come back for more. For me, personally, this is a quite long time since I could drink all of a matcha drink. They all taste very good. The service is friendly and professional. You can see the baristas are making drinks through the window and they smile back to you even though Cocha is busy there. Ambiance: Sharing space with other stores, this look like a small food hall. So the parking is a little bit challenging. - If you just order drink, you might need to park on the street ( follow the instruction sign/photo I attach below) - If you also order food, you might park in the parking lot. Anyway, We also have an order of waffle in the hall. Waffle + matcha can get along pretty fine. So, even though there is quite a bit inconvenience with parking, the drinks are so good beyond expectations that I can happily rate oir experience 5. COCHA is definitely a gem! Best, Chloe

We both have pretty high standards when it comes to matcha, so I was excited to see if it lived up to the hype. The shop itself is more of a walk-up window than a café, so don't expect a lot of indoor seating. Even though there were quite a few people waiting when we got there, our drinks came out SO fast, which I really appreciated. I will say it's definitely on the pricier side, and the cup sizes are a little small. That being said, the matcha itself was really solid! It had a nice, rich matcha flavor without being overly bitter, and you could tell they used good quality matcha. My friend and I can both be pretty picky when it comes to matcha, and we both left impressed. Overall, I can definitely see why this place is always recommended whenever people ask for the best matcha in Houston! If you're a fellow matcha lover, I'd definitely recommend checking it out. Just be prepared to pay a little more for a smaller drink--but I still think it's worth trying at least once!
