What a wonderful place this is. The ambience is quite plain, but very crisp and comfortable. It's really a family restaurant with what appears to be an incredible array of Middle Eastern, Turkish baked goods and wonderful Middle Eastern and Turkish entrées and of course mezze. Service is quite efficient. You walk to the bar and place an order and it is brought out by a server relatively quickly. We have the mezze. The Brad with which the mezze is consumed is a loaf rather than a flatbread, but I must tell you it was simply wonderful light with a delicious crust and the mezze itself what's a wonderful combination of hummus and eggplant variants all of which were flavorful plentiful, and quite delicious. The entire shop is filled with all sorts of desserts none of which we partook in, in this particular visit, but will certainly return as this is a wonderful restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by my first visit to Moda Cafe and Bakery. The first few weeks of their opening was too busy so I waited until the crowds subsided to explore. My trip was for a casual dinner but discovered that they are first and foremost a bakery with a crazy amount of desserts. My guess is that the dessert case is approximately 30 feet long, if not more. They look incredible which is the reason for a future trip. They have sandwiches and pasta dishes and my choice was a beef sandwich which was very similar to pastrami. The bread was incredibly delicious, it's a bakery, the meat was a modest amount but very flavorful. The restaurant itself is very vibrant and brightly lit giving it an energetic atmosphere. Moda has a coffee shop which I plan to check out with my next visit for desserts. read more

We stopped by here for a dessert and we got two types of Turkish delight and two cakes to take home for later. The Turkish delight was quite soft and they cut into pieces for us. The two cakes we got were a coffee bean cake and a Dubai chocolate mousse type cake. I would skip the Dubai chocolate mousse, it felt gimmicky. But the coffee bean cake was amazing and if you can have caffeine and like coffee, I highly recommend this one. When we came, it was probably really loud so the staff couldn't hear us a good portion of the time and we had to repeat ourselves multiple times. So make sure you reconfirm with them what you wanted when picking out your desserts. The room was bright and the noise echos so it can be very loud. I did see some people study or working. There are also families and groups of friends hanging out. Kind of a typical big coffee cafe. There's free parking outside. read more

LOVE THIS PLACE! Came for the first time to celebrate my birthday with family, and enjoyed the experience from start to finish. Gorgeous interior decor and atmosphere! There are two different sides of the restaurant where you can order- one for pastries and desserts, the other for coffees and cafe type pastries. You can also order table-side using their QR code. Cheese rolls were fantastic and had a beautiful texture! The Biscoff Strawberry Roll was my favorite dessert by far, and was extremely rich! Service was great as well! Today I went to Moda cafe and wow I was impressed. Upon walking in the interior ambiance esthetics were soo beautiful!!! The pastrys were all doo beautiful with such a pretty presentation I wanted to order everything. The beautiful lady behind the counter ( I didn't get her name) she was soo helpful and kind. I ended up ordering the rice putting and the young lady added cinnamon on top and it was soo delicious I could not stop eating it reminded me of my childhood as my mom would always make rice pudding. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with almond milk and and extra shot of expresso I know it sounds soo basic but man the code was so good one of the best I've had in a long time.. I also tried the turkey sand which and lentil soup all were tasty. Forgot to mention the young man who made my coffee he was very pleasant his self ! Absolutely delicious!! We loved everything we had & the quality was top tier. Turkish Coffee (perfect!), Cold Mezze(omg the eggplant!), Kofte Sandwich (the bread was SO light & the meat had so much flavor), Kibbeh (best we've ever had), Oreo Strawberry cream roll and The Chocolate Croissant (if you see this in the case, grab one right away, they were gone fast). Ordering/menu was a little tricky bc you have to wait until you scan the QR code & app at your individual table & does not have a physical menu. Also, if you order all at once it comes out all at once. It would be super easy for individuals to order & pay separately though. First time here - ordered two different omelets, pancakes, waffles and multiple plates. As well the internet viral Mango and Peach desert. I have to say the omelets were awesome. The desert however - that was a giant ball of BUTTER! It was terrible. I have no idea why or how people find this stuff good. It was so bad! I have to say I won't be back for those for sure. Tea is strong but good. Coffee was decent. Baklava there is superb. Combo for lunch for pasta, salad, and drink for around $15 after tax. The pasta adds a Mediterranean flare like red onions. The service is okay because they only serve one customer at a time, but you can place your order at the kiosk. This place is very aesthetic, the beautifully prepared deserts and pastries added to the decor. The place is Instagram worthy for sure. The almond croissant was flaky and not overly sweet. We will return for that. The other breads were nice, but not outstanding. I thought the Turkish bagel was interesting, but it needed some sort of spread. The Turkish coffee and matcha had no special taste. They were fully staffed. You order either at a counter or at an iPad. We ordered on the iPad (suggested because there were photos of the items and the waiter was unable to tell us about the menu because as he admitted he just started and had not looked at the menu). The issue is...there is no description of the dishes on the iPad nor the menu. Since I was not familiar with the food I ended up ordering pastries. We then sat and waited 5 minutes for the drinks(not too bad) and 13 minutes (looking bewildered) before the waiter came over and informed us that the pistachio croissant we ordered on the iPad was not available and she did not realize we were waiting for just pastries. She offered a substitution...which was nice...the almond croissant which was the stand out item actually. She was very pleasant and accommodating (which was the case with all the staff) I was then able to discuss the menu in more detail. There are DEFINITELY opportunities to improve the experience for exploring guests: 1) Don't assume people are familiar with the food. Add descriptions, what if someone has allergies to certain ingredients. I would have tried the egg dish that smelled so great. I only noticed it as I was sitting waiting to be served). 2) Train all staff, they should know how things taste and be able to recommend items to guests. 3) Encourage orders to be taken by staff. As we waited I saw who I would assume was the owner hug kiss and serve the same bread I waited almost 20 minutes for to who I assume was his friend (based on their interaction). 20 minutes for room temp prepared pastries was too long. I ended up asking for my order to be bagged to go. 4) Refine the way the orders are fulfilled...why wouldn't they know table 3 ordered just bread? I hope to have a different experience if I return. I really want all the great regional eateries in my neighborhood to do well. read more

The food was fantastic here!! Friendly staff but not helpful when trying to order until we asked again. It's an online order cafe only (cashless) so the staff should have just said I can help you here instead of directing us to the table QR code. After our older friends had issues trying to order from the QR code then staff said they could take the order, plus the WiFi was not strong either. There's plenty of room inside to sit & eat and it was clean. They should offer iPads at the front with the online menu on it to help ease ordering. read more

We were so excited about the new Turkish cafe. We waited in line for 25 minutes for an empty table. My daughter had just finished her SAT exam and was starving. The manager came to us and said one of the tables would be ready in a minute. However, we waited 10 more minutes to realize they seated other people who came in through the back door and didn't wait in line. It was a horrible experience. Furthermore, they advertised that they start serving lunch at 12:00 PM, but they then claimed they couldn't manage the orders and postponed lunch until 1:00 PM. They cannot apply the basic rules of business. read more
