Bakerland is a great cafe to catch up with friends in the Sugar Land area! It's a large establishment that's open until midnight or 1am, and it's the perfect hangout spot with plenty of seating. I didn't get to try any of their savory things, however my friends and I split an assortment of sweets and coffees. We got a biscoff cream cup, a pistachio cake slice, a raspberry heart shaped cake, and decaf lattes. Everything was delicious and the best part was that they weren't overly sweet. They do cafeteria-style and you take your tray to your table. Would return with the family!

The ambiance of the restaurant was really nice, and the staff was super friendly and helpful with anything you needed. Unfortunately, the food was pretty disappointing. Everything looked beautiful and was definitely great for pictures, but the taste just didn't match the presentation. The sweet pastries were probably the best things I tried, but the savory pastries, especially the mini pizzas and spinach feta pastries, were barely edible. A lot of the items also seemed stale. The matcha was really sweet and honestly just tasted like milk with vanilla syrup rather than matcha. Overall, if you're looking for a cute spot with good vibes, pretty food, and great service, this is a nice place to go. But if you're going mainly for the food, I wouldn't recommend it.

A beautiful spacious bakery cafe with scenic views and an assortment of baked goods! It is amazing to see the variety of pastries, cakes and even sandwiches available. We ordered a few pastries to try and I really enjoyed the croissant. My mom liked the kolache a lot. Everything tasted fresh as well! The staff is friendly and welcoming. Will visit again to try other goodies!

Absolutely gem in Sugar Land! Their hours are so flexible, so you can go almost any time of day. It's also so cute and classy in there. We went at night, so it was lit up by crystal lamps and was a really great atmosphere. We ordered a bunch of different desserts and some coffee drinks. Some of the desserts I wouldn't get again, but I really loved the pistachio cream cake. We also ordered a couple coffees, and they accidentally delivered them to the wrong table. But the owner was so nice about it and got us our coffees then even gave us complimentary eclairs for the inconvenience! Great food, atmosphere, and staff. Will be back to try their savory dishes and other desserts!

It was a great experience and surprise. Lots of options to choose from - delicious croissants, breads, baked goods, pastries. Decent service and beautiful ambiance overlooking water on the back seating area. Lovely patio if weather permits. Little too big for a cafe though. Ordering system should be streamlined as they have done with coffee only. Good for big parties as well.

Beautiful waterside views, a ton of delicious selections? Fort Bend could use more spots like this. Pastries were a little pricey but the whole experience was great.

bakerland cafe is such a stunning space! super spacious with lots of natural lighting, and the outdoor patio facing the water makes it extra peaceful. the ambiance alone makes it a lovely place to spend time. the menu also has sooo much variety. you can get baked goods, cakes and desserts, sandwiches and salads, gelato, coffee etc. that being said, the pastries were a little underwhelming. they tasted stale and were tough to chew instead of being flaky and buttery like croissants should be. similarly, the cake was more dense and hard instead of soft and spongy. the iced shaken espresso was decent and pretty balanced. the tuna salad was really yummy with generous portions. overall, it's a bit overpriced for the quality, but the atmosphere and lovely service make up for a lot of it!

Finally! A place near me where I can get a great croissant! BakerLand Cafe is a new addition to the Sugar Land bakery scene that has been sparse and getting a great croissant locally even harder. BakerLand had a soft opening a week or so ago and I bypassed simply because soft openings are meant to get the kinks out and not a fair assessment in my opinion, but I digress. This review is based solely on their bakery offerings, centering mostly on croissants. This has been my own personal campaign, always in search of a bakery with great croissants and BakerLand did not disappoint. Now, there is only one issue I have. The hours. BakerLand is open from 9 am to 10 pm. So, it misses that opportune weekday breakfast crowd. It's disappointing because they are a stones throw from my workplace and grabbing a coffee and croissant on the way would be awesome. I am hoping it changes as they get more established. All in all the atmosphere was very coffee house, but they offer sit down meals for lunch and dinner. I will have to return to give an update. The bakery is very similar to the panaderia, you grab a tray and tongs and set off to pick whatever catches your attention. There were several offerings and they were also putting out more as I walked up. I loaded my tray with two large butter croissants, a pain au chocolate, a mini danish, a cherry pastry and one donut, a well rounded selection. The coffee can be ordered at several self-service screens. I used the self-service to order a cappuccino and see if it was easy and it was, however you can order at the counter as well. For what was chosen, price-wise was very reasonable. They were a little backed up at the coffee counter but not too bad. The cashier did make sure to let me know my order was coming up and it was appreciated. During peak times I can see it bottlenecking. I took all my order to go. The cappuccino was very good and balanced. I would order again. Now for the croissant; I am a firm believer that a plain croissant should taste great and for me it sets off what the rest of the offerings should taste like. The croissant was great, I picked the jumbo one but was pleasantly pleased to find they also offer medium croissants as well. It was flaky and well laminated, a little bit of air but overall all was flaky and buttery and tasted great. I also tried the cherry pastry, I loved the fresh taste, many times you can tell if it sat for a while, this did not. Flaky and tasty not over sweet, the pan au chocolate also was flaky and yummy. All in all I found a new go to place close enough to enjoy on a regular basis and not an occasional journey. I went in on Sunday morning about 20 minutes after opening. Parking can get crowded and I assume when the other businesses are open during the week. Compared to others the pricing was average for what was ordered. I ordered for take out and will have to return for the dine-in. Worth a return to sample the rest. I recommend you try for yourself.

    Philly cheesesteak

Nice ambiance, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating that faces Oyster Creek. Huge selection of desserts, pastries and coffees. I had the tres leches bowl and it was delicious. Very milky if you like that type and not too sweet. Latte was strong. Philly cheesesteak was on ciabatta but came out hot and yummy.

Very nice addition to the area. Food was good but the friendliness of the staff was even better. Everyone was so helpful. The pastries are delicious and they have a very large selection of beverages. Very family friendly and very relaxing. Will return.

I did notice that the staff remade the Thai tea because they added boba pearls when I hadn't asked for any in that drink but that's not really an issue. However, when served the drinks I was handed the ube drink with 2 boba pearl to-go containers and was told to mix in my own boba pearls because they forgot to add them in before sealing the drink. I was annoyed that they hadn't simply opened the drink themselves and added it in and then resealed it. The Thai tea was also a full sweetness drink and not the adjusted level I asked for. Honestly the staff and location seemed nice but it was an off putting experience to have to put together a drink that was made wrong in the first place.

I get it - it's right after the holidays so staffing could be short. The server we had wasn't exactly enthusiastic, just did the bare minimum. Dishes piled up and we weren't asked about refills. You'd figure because there was only 1 group that the service would be attentive, but nope! The food that we ordered from the kitchen were all super fresh and delicious. My favorites were the bulgogi gimbap, eggroll (tiny rolled egg omelette), and chicken wings! They come out super hot - loved them all. The hot buffet bar was not filled at all, some were even just empty. I found it disappointing that we didn't get to try a lot of their items. The hot buffet bar was really scarce, I mean, just fried dumplings and fries but they were refilled really slow and some never had refills. The boba bar was empty and never filled. The DIY ramen station was closed off. I tipped only because I felt like I had to, but the service was abysmal. I would come back but maybe for lunch instead of dinner. Hopefully service improves.
