we had a fabulous dinner at local table. from the get go, the ambiance was super welcoming and our waitress was so friendly and attentive. the presentation of everything was beautiful, and i had a feeling the food would taste just as good! the beef and chicken kabobs were super fragrant and nicely grilled, and the anaheim chicken was sooo tender. the tuna poke bowl was perhaps my favorite though. the tuna was extremely fresh and soft, and the charred brussels sprouts were absolutely DELECTABLE. we also tried the fettuccine with shrimp and basil pesto pizza, which were both really good. i esppp loved the grilled vegetables and seasoned rice on the side! reasonably priced, generous portions, lovely flavors, and outstanding service. definitely somewhere id happily come back to! read more

I've been to local table multiple times in the Cypress location. This was my first time at this Missouri city location. Me and my group sat outdoors since the weather was nice in the evening time for dinner. I checked out the menu and decided to get the black bean patty bowl- nutritious bowl since it's vegan. They have any vegan/vegetarian options which I am always happy about. The food came in the timely manner. I didn't really enjoy the bowl too much- the bowl itself felt a bit bland for me- there was a sauce and guac - the guac was good, I asked for extra so I can give the bowl more flavor. The vegetables didn't have much flavor- I feel like it seems some fajita seasoning. I do enjoy local table every now and then and try different things but it always does seem quite bland and not too flavorful. Overall I would say the food is quite average- nothing too special. read more

A whole group of us went there the other day for lunch as we had heard about this restaurant that has been opened since March but never had an opportunity to try it out. Well Sunday afternoon we did and I must say, I was impressed! It pushed all the buttons in terms of service, food, ambience and overall attentiveness to such a large party. It has a pretty comprehensive selection of just about anything you might be in a mood for and I found the food fresh and with a good taste! I had the burger and although I wouldn't consider myself a connoisseur of great burgers I'd have to say this one was really good! I made a reservation for a weekend brunch thinking that it would be crowded, but wasn't. However, it is good to make one to avoid disappointment. Tables are placed near to each other and noise level is pretty high, thus having private conversations would be tough. My waitress took a pretty long time to get back to my table and I had to search for her to get my order placed. My partner and I had the Anaheim grilled chicken (changed to fried chicken), loaded baked potato soup, and the smoked salmon avocado toast with poached eggs. My food was served room temperature, especially the potato soup, which made the soup taste blah. One of the poached eggs was overcooked, which was fine since it was a difficult ingredient to master. The fried chicken was dry, and room temperature fried chicken with sauce just didn't taste good. Food portions were just right for one hungry person. There are outdoor, indoor, and bar seatings. I've dined at this restaurant the first and second month that they were open. They have gotten some of the logistical issues fixed. Service has always been exceptional even at peak diner hours. They are extra cautious with food allergies, which I truly appreciate. I like their ambiance, there is outdoor patio and indoor seating. The outdoor ambiance is very cute and brunch like. They do not take reservations but there is priority seating. I highly recommend that option during dinner hours. I thoroughly enjoy their kabob entrees. Instead of seasonal roasted vegetables, the chef has given me an option of steamed green beans to abide soy. The herb rice and kabob were good, they could use just a tad more flavor. I usually get the combination (chicken and beef). They also have gluten free options. My friend ordered the lemon basil pasta with a side of chicken and she said it was delicious. My family ordered the skirt steak and that was their favorite. They really nailed the chimichurri sauce and the smoky flavor. The portions are reasonable for the price. It's a nice place. It's been open for awhile, but still has kinks in the service on a Sat evening. There were plenty of wait staff, but things were a bit confusing for them ( as to which tables ordered certain meals and drinks and who was responsible for taking orders and serving the meals. We went in to get a seat but only outside was open unless you wanted to wait 45 minutes for inside( which we did because it was chilly outside) . We got our name and number on the list and went to wait in the car. 20 minutes went by and I asked my husband if he received the you're on the waiting list text and he didn't so he went inside and the lady said that we got a text 20 minutes ago (which was when we were in the restaurant) which we didn't....so we were seated immediately since there were seats open and others were just walking in and being seated....this was weird to us...since we really shouldn't have had to wait. We sat off from the bar and our waitress was amazing. We got a little of everything and it was all soo good! We got the Crab cake Benedict, french toast, Philly Cheesesteak, Frozen Mango drink and kids plate. The restaurant is very nice and spotless. So this place has been so many things but this may be the best! Seeing reviews we decided to check it out. The menu is diverse, something for everyone! I think the highest priced item, a steak is around $30. So very reasonably priced. I had the lemon pasta with chicken. The chicken was very tender and the flavor was great. Took half of it home. My husband had the honey ginger glazed salmon and it was amazing! He got green beans instead of the veggies and said they were kind of bland. We both got a slice of bread that was buttered and grilled and it was really good! We drank water and our bill before tip was $47. The ambience was nice, music not too loud. Lots of people but didn't feel crowded. I will say we hardly saw a server, seemed to change part way through or they were tag teaming. We had at least one manager ask how things were. They put a water carafe at the table so we really didn't need anything. At one point someone apologized for the wait on food but it was maybe 15 minutes from ordering to arrival. Was excited to see a new restaurant so we stopped in to give it a try. I will start by saying the host and server were very nice. We ordered the spinach dip for starters...wasn't bad and wasn't great! Entrees Meatloaf(cold) prepackaged Chkn fried Chkn(frozen prepackaged) Chicken tenders/fries (basic) All the food appeared to be prepackaged and bland. My order was Brussel sprouts, 2 Cobb salads.I peeked inside the bag to make sure every order was there and it was. I got home and opened the containers. There was no egg and no bacon in either salad. Simple Cobb salads. The rest looked well like the greens plus carrots and some tomato pieces but not a sliver of eggs or bacon. So yeah.... I received a survey and made my comments on their but I was too tired to call the restaurant because I had had a long day and was exhausted already. It wasn't the hill to die on at 7:15pm. Just what this area desperately needed. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Nicely revamped inside. Nice bar area. Menu has a great selection. Decided to get meatloaf which was very tasty and seasoned well. Mashed potatoes with the sauce was also a nice touch. The green beans could have been sautéed better since they were hard as well as the garlic bread. Lemon chicken pasta was delicious. Also, I noticed everyone needed straws and most drink were served with barely any ice. Hope they can remedy that. The only con is with our young inexperienced waitress. The food is fair, it was extremely cold in there. The service was OK, and the automatic gratuity of 20% was unacceptable. I had a party of twenty seniors and they were very disappointed with the automatic 20% gratuity. I believe the gratuity should be left up to the customer not the business...That's NOT how to run a business!!! You keep that up and you will close in no time. Have eaten at Local Table on 3 occasions. First meal was fantastic, second meal was very disappointing and today's meal was terrible. Ordered eggs, bacon, potatoes and fruit. Eggs were not properly prepared, potatoes were inedible because of the herbs and salt they were drenched in, bacon was the quality one would find at IHOP and the different pieces of fruit were either over ripened or under ripe. I paid the bill and gave the manager my feedback. The manager did not care. She asked no follow-up questions that could have helped them correct the issue. I would not be providing this review if she did not have such a dismissive attitude. Overheard the customers at the table next to comment they would not be back because of the poor quality food. Unfortunately, we have seen restaurant after restaurant fail at this location because of poor food quality. On the bright side, the service has always been outstanding.
