Get the outside voice! Because who doesn't love carbs on carbs?!? The tater tots were a hit with everyone! I love their crust... such a great local pizza spot & being at the brewery is an even bigger plus! Service was quick and the rustic vibes go with the pizza! This is a repeat meal and it's worth it to say - if they keep serving pie this fly - I'll keep coming back!
Drove past Citizen Pizza in front of Original Pattern Brewing in Jack London Square and had to stop to finally try one of their thin crust pies. This is one of Original Pattern's regular "home" pop-up food vendors, and they are experts at what they do. Their space is located on the patio outside, and they have three pizza ovens for preparing all hot menu options. From an amazing crust with flavor and perfect pizza oven char to the unique topping combinations in every menu option, you can't go wrong. We were lucky to arrive before closing time on a slow Sunday afternoon, so got an order in for pizza and shishito peppers. We found seats, grabbed a few brews from Original Pattern, and then in no time our food was ready. Pizza crust had great structural integrity and held up to the toppings. I got the unusually named Devil's Doorbell, and it definitely rang the delicious bell for me! Roasted corn and pepperoni played well together, and the fresh basil and garlic amped up the flavor. A great combo of late-summer yumminess. Pie size is great for sharing with another, but if you're hungry you can easily leave happy and full finishing one by yourself with a delicious Original Pattern beer to wash it all down. Will be coming back again soon to taste a few other pizza options. Their menu reflects what's in season, so there's always something fresh to bring you back for more.
Decently tasty and decently made although a bit soft and a soggy / floppy for my liking. The biggest issue I had was an apparently lack of salt / seasoning. Yes I prefer more bold and salty flavors but to me it was a bit bland and lacking, especially when you consider eating it alongside beer, you kinda want those salty flavors. A bit of a discrepancy between the good appearance but mild flavor
Citizen Pizza is one of those neighborhood spots you're just grateful exists. It's about half a block from us, and has become a go-to for good reason. The pizza is fresh, consistent, and thoughtfully made. Their Margherita is fantastic--balanced, crisp, and full of flavor. Seasonal specials rotate through and are always worth trying. You can tell there's care in what they put on the menu. It's connected to the brewery next door, which makes the whole experience even better. Sit outside, order a beer, and enjoy a hot pie straight from the oven. The pretzel sticks are a must--get them, and don't skip the dipping sauces. Simple, reliable, and always hits the mark. One of our favorites
The pizza is so good here! I've also had their pizza when they do pop-ups at Calicraft brewery in Walnut Creek. Definitely recommend if you like pizza. The one with tots is my favorite!
We came to the brewery tonight just looking for a light appetizer, but as soon as we walked by this pizzeria the smell of fresh bread and pizza coming out of the oven completely stopped us in our tracks. We couldn't resist and ended up ordering not one but three different pizzas. Honestly, it turned out to be one of the best pizza experiences I've had in a very long time, maybe even my life. Everything about it was spot on. The crust was perfectly thin and crisp, the flavors were incredible, and you could tell it was made with real care. What stood out to me was all the little details: instead of prepackaged Parmesan packets, they grate it fresh right onto your pizza. The ranch was homemade (and I'm usually picky about ranch, but theirs was delicious), and every bite of the pizza was next-level good. I also want to give a huge shoutout to Jeronica and Jeremy, who were cooking the pizzas. They were both fantastic Cooks and super friendly, and most importantly, so sweet to our little poodle, Julia Roberts, which we really appreciated. They're not just great at what they do, they're warm, welcoming people who make the whole experience even better. The beer at the brewery was solid, but the pizza is the reason I'd come back again and again. Five stars, no question! I'd recommend this place to anyone.
I normally order a pizza with meat like the Don Ho, but I finally tried the meatless Mothership pizza with pesto. I really enjoy red sauce on my pizzas, so I asked for some red sauce and they were able to drizzle some onto the pizza! Boy oh boy the mothership pizza was amazing! I'm a meat lover but this pizza was outta of this world. Lots of veggies and flavor, goes well with the pesto and I loved getting a drizzle of red sauce on top! I'm not a huge fan of pizza crust, but love the chewy thin crust at Citizen Pizza!
This spot is located just outside of a brewery. Each pie is made fresh out of the outdoor pizza ovens they use. The size of each pie is more of a personal size since each slice is basically paper thin. However, we split it between three people since we were going on a fun "pizza crawl" in the city that day lol. We got the mothership which included brussel sprouts, pesto, ricotta, sesame seeds, and red onion. The cheese was also very delicious but I really liked the uniqueness of toppings they offered and how fresh the ingredients taste! Workers are friendly and pizzas come out in less than 10-15 minutes. Seating is outdoors but covered. Would definitely come back to try their other pizzas!
I've had Citizen Pizza a couple times now and it does not disappoint. I first found the pop-up at Ghost Town Brewing and enjoyed a Don Ho + Shishito Peppers. What a treat! I'm fully onboard with pineapple as a pizza topping, and the dough was flavorful and unique. I recently discovered that they are located at Original Pattern Brewing 7 days a week! I will definitely be going out of my way to seek another tasty pizza in the near future. Cheers!

Went to Citizen Pizza as they setup shop right next to Calicraft. Beer and pizza - yeast siblings that were born to go together. We ordered an Outside Voice, Margherita, and a Last Bell. Took 20 or so minutes to get our food as they're made to order in limited oven space. The crust is quite nice - super thin and has some chew to it. However, due to the thickness, the pizzas don't go to far - 2 people could easily take one of these down. Flavors are great. The Outside Voice is super unique and tastes like a baked potato. Minor complaint - the crusts get quite a bit of char too them - more than most of our group liked. Looking forward to trying out some of their other interesting flavors next time.

I tried the knucklehead for the first time at califraft at Walnut Creek only to find that they were even closer to me by original pattern at jack london. Got the pepperoni the second time and it still didn't disappoint. These guys need to open their own place, this is my go-to pizza spot now!

Top. Top. Top 9 pizzas I've had. And I only been here about 27 times. Which could be a wild underestimate because I find myself here about once per week. The brewery has great beer, which compliments the delicious neopolitan type pizza dough.... maybe am wrong on the type of pizza. I don't make it and name it, I just eat it. Been coming here for a while now, I want to say years, but I don't remember the first time. I typically get a pepperoni, add shrooms and garlic. Or a Marg add pepperoni. Plus a side of shishitos which have to be the best in the dam worlds, 2nd best so far Zuma in Vegas. Try them out. Best Espresso Martini in the world. Nevertheless, I would check this spot out. It's a safe bet on quality and taste. It never disappoints. Delicious read more

One of my go to pizza spots in the bay. They used to be by Fieldworks but now they're by Original Pattern Brewery. Original Pattern has great beer as well. The beer compliments the pizza so well. Was slightly disappointed this trip because they burnt our crust a little more than usual but other than that solid delicious pizza! read more

I was staying in Oakland about a year ago and ordered the Outside Voice after spending a whole day biking around, and it was a religious experience. I'm back in the Bay Area again, staying in SF but I'm considering taking a trip out to Oakland just to get their pizza again. read more

Feed. And be fed! The tagline for Citizens Pizza. Always in search of good, local pizza and have been pleased with a few establishments I've tried. What pushed CP to near the top of list, the fact they are co-located with Original Pattern Brewing. To be honest not the biggest OP fan (never like beer places that charge tax) but the ambience and vibe is cool and laid bag. The folks behind the bar are knowledgeable and good humored. But that's talk for the OP review. Let's talk pizza. The negative first. The price. Holy hell some of these pies are $22-25 for a medium size pizza. I e tried four of the pizzas on the menu from the traditional Margherita to the kitchen sink with Promesa and a few in between including the Outside Voice and Don Ho. First time having pineapple on my pie, just days before flying to Oona for vacation. Overall the pizzas are very good, even the vegan offering, Promisa. Coming from a vegan lifestyle in the past, this was an interesting offering and while it didn't look as good as some of the other pizzas, it tastes good. No longer a fan of the vegan meats or cheeses this is a solid offering for those who are. The pizzas are done in a pizza oven giving them a nicely charred crust that is hand tossed. The flavors for the more traditional pizzas are good. Not that I've ever put tater tots on a pie. But on the Outside Voice it worked with the caramelized onions and and chipotle cream. Overall if you want to enjoy some good pizza with good beer with good vibes, I do recommend CP for those pizzas when in and around Jack London. read more
Stopped at a Citizen Pizza just to get a takeaway pizza! We came here on a Saturday at 6pm and the wait was about 15 minutes! The workers were so sweet and seemed like they loved helping us. We ordered the Knucklehead but subbed the sausage for pepperoni. Giving this a 4/5 because the crust could have been better. But overall a good pizza stop and love that it's attached to Original Pattern Brewery! read more

So, so good. Friendly people, nice atmosphere. I get the pepperoni pizza with vegan cheese and it's the best dairy free pizza I've ever had. They also have dairy free ranch which is a plus. I keep coming back for more. Maybe a little pricey but worth it. read more
Today was the second time I've tried out Citizen Pizza. Both times, I've tried out their pizza while visiting Fieldworks in Berkeley. On my first visit, I tried out the Don Ho -- pepperoni, pineapple, red sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, & pickled jalapeno. On today's visit, I tried out the Outside Voice -- tots, bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar, mozzarella, garlic purée, scallion, & chipotle crema. The flavor combinations here are creative and delicious. I wish I had a larger appetite or came with more friends so I could try out more of their pizzas. The sourdough crust has just the right amount of chew and the heat from the Ooni oven puffs up the dough nicely and provides just the right amount of char. If you see Citizen Pizza at your local brewery, I would definitely recommend trying out one of their pies. read more
Thin crust pizza cooked in their pizza oven in front of the Pattern Brewing Company. In front means right on the sidewalk. Check out the seating inside before buying your pizza as you don't want to stand, eat, and drink or else you'll be taking it home. Crust is nice and thin and they have four to five pizzas to choose from. We had the one with pepperoni, onions,... that was a special for that day. Good pop-up match for the brewery. read more
Honestly - this place blew away my expectations. There was one man, casually whipping out top class pies out of the beautiful Dome oven. I took one bite of the Margherita Pizza and was genuinely in shock - how was this slice so perfectly thin and crispy. Literally the best first bite I've ever had. They have some really neat items on the menu and service was nothing short of great. The first bite was an instant 9.6/10. The pizzas are definitely in the 8s and 9s in general. Highly recommended! read more
Neat pizza popup at Original Pattern Brewery. The staff cook the pizzas in portable pizza ovens right outside the brewery. Saw a lot of folks sipping beer with their pizzas. -Solid Margherita. -Vegan pepperoni was okay, had some kind of thousand island like sauce (not my style). read more

This place is so good and situated on site with Original Pattern Brewing. I like pizza but I rarely eat too many slices. We had to order a second pizza because we devoured the first with just the two of us. We had pepperoni pizza which was crispy and super tasty. We placed an order and then got a pager to wait while we had beers. As the night progresses they ran out of pizza so we're glad we got some! It goes so well with the Beer and you can eat it inside or outside. Great setting. I'll be back for more. read more

Having their pizza as an accompaniment to Fieldwork brews is perfection. The classic pepperoni and margherita were all deliciously fresh out of the oven and piping hot. The star was the don ho - a savory, sweet and spicy combo of pepperoni, pineapple, and picked jalapeño on a lovely slightly charred crust. read more

This pizza is made by people who love pizza and it shows in every bite. My suggestion is to order twice as much as you think you're hungry for, no matter how much you have you'll feel like you didn't have enough. read more
