Sadly, the owner of Nick's passed away and this company is now owned by Dunrite. I called that company based on the reviews of Nick's Air Services, but their services has definitely NOT been the same as mentioned on this profile. In summary, this company is expensive, can make improper recommendations, and the office is very difficult to get anyone to call you back. I absolutely would not use them again in the future and - had I read their Yelp profile for Dunrite Heating & Cooling - would never have called them in the first place. My experience: My air conditioning due to leaked refrigerant due to another HVAC technician not correct. Nick's/Dunrite came out during the same day and quickly identified the problem. There was a leak on the schrader valve. They got us back to running - for nearly $200/per pound of refrigerant. 5 lbs = about $1,000. Wow, but we had no choice as my original installer was not available. Our unit has not been keeping up with the 90s for the past two months and the technician recommended 3 different options. I chose 2 of the 3 options: a larger return air duct AND repairing the plenum. I was anxious to get the work scheduled and it took me hounding them to get them to schedule the work. Communicating with this office was very painful. I would never get calls back and would just get a text message indicating when they had scheduled the appointment. Their front desk support was exceedingly helpful but not empowered to do anything besides schedule appointments and pass along info. I finally had the appointment and the technician went to the wrong address. I got a call from them saying they had been at my house and then they proceeded to the next job. I spoke to them and learned they were at the wrong house, but could not turn around to go back to my house. I had to wait until the following week to get the appointment rescheduled. What a disaster. It got worse. The work was finally done - the return air duct and the plenum. I waited a couple of days, but there was NO change in the air conditioning. I called them back again and they scheduled another technician to come out. The second technician came out, a more senior technician, who confirmed that the unit was undersized and "working as it was designed" to cool at 75-76. I don't know a single person who is comfortable with 75-76 in the house when the outside is in the 90s. I called customer service again. When I finally got someone, I got a call from William, who is their most senior technician (an older guys in his late-50s probably). He came out with the original technical and instructed him how to properly do a heat load calculation. They determined indeed the unit is undersized and I needed a 3 ton. I called back the customer service asking for a refund to the work. I've called at least 3-4 times, each time speaking with a very nice person. However, I've still not been called back. What a disaster. I've finally had to resort to filing a complaint with my credit card and disputing it through them. It's unfortunate and I didn't want to have to do this, but - when no one will call you back - it's very very hard to trust this company to make things right.

We were given a long report with pictures and recommendations which we submitted to our builder for warranty repair. Paul cut no corners and we plan on referring him to our neighbors who needs the first inspection and/or their 11 month.

We used CitiTurf for the summer of 2014. I sometimes travel for work so the summers that I am going to be travelling a lot I usually hire a lawn service. This summer was a little different in that we were relocating and I wanted to get my house ready for being on sale. I hired CitiTurf because they had all of the services i was looking for weekly mowing, weed treatment, hedge trimming and flower bed clean-up and mulching. All of the prices for the work were reasonable and I received weekly statements outlining the work and charges for the proceeding week. The work was great the weeding and bed clean-up were fantastic, we have some unusual plants in our gardens and have had trouble with yards services in the past pulling out some plants thinking they were weeds in the past. CitiTurf crews were knowledgeable of the differences and none of the garden plants were pulled only the weeds. The weed control was great as well the weeds in the lawn were under control in just a few weeks and this was accomplished at the height if the summer heat/water restrictions. The hedge trimming was done well too. I have no complaits about any of the work they did for me. In addition to great work the crews that come out are very efficient and complete their work quickly. It's not just one guy and mower that comes out it's a crew of three or four that can mow my yard in about 30 minutes. This is great for my family since we have a dog that gets a little worked up when there are strangers around. The quick work limits the time he would be agitated. the only drawback fro me was that my house sold quickly so that my relationship with CitiTurf was only a few months, I wish i had called them in the past instead of the lawn services I did use. I had thought that with their large crews and fleet of vehicles they would be expensive which is not the case at all. So if you want a lawn service that does great work, works quickly, is on time, communicates/responds to you as a customer, reasonably priced and provides all of the lawn services you would need choose CitiTurf you will not be disappointed. I could not be any more satisfied with the prices and work provided by CitiTurf. read more

Made the switch to CitiTurf about 6 weeks ago and was immediately impressed. My old service just wasn't getting it done and the appearance of my yard was suffering - grass growing around fenceposts, into garden beds, into tree rings, uneven edging along sidewalks and curbs, and most of all it seemed the grass was cut to a different height every week - never any consistency. Enter CitiTurf who I made fully aware of my gripes and pet peeves about how my yard should appear. They listened and I have yet to find anything to complain about. My yard has not looked this good since I used to maintain it myself a 3-4 years ago. With my old lawn service, I used to have to inspect the work on a weekly basis, complain constantly about what was not being done by their crew, and more often than not I'd find myself in my yard every few weeks pulling bermuda out of beds, rings, from under the fence, etc. When CitiTurf took over I walked my yards the first 2 weeks they mowed and realized that wasn't necessary anymore. Their work is meticulous and my lawn has never looked better. The value and quality in relation to the cost is more than competitive. And they are very informative if and when there is a delay due to weather or other factors. Right now, I truly believe I'd be hard pressed to find a better lawn service than CitiTurf. These guys are great. They charge me the same price as my last two lawn companies that used to do our yard but they do a much better job! They always come on the same day of the week(except the one day it actually rained last year!) and they dont let my dog out of the gate like my last service did. I had a sprinkler sticking up in my back yard and they did break it. I know those things happen but they did fixed it right away. And they even lowered the sprinkler so its not a hazard sticking out of the ground anymore (-: Hi Crystal W! If you are a real cititurf customer you should definitely give them a call and they will take care of your problems. They answer the phone and take care of my needs very fast and they are very pleasant to deal with. In a year and a half I have called in 3 or 4 times and they have answered my call every time except once. and that one time they actually called me back! My last company never called me back! If you don't believe me call them right now and I bet you'll hear "Cititurf this is.....(PERSON'S NAME)......." I bought my first home last summer. I admit to having zero experience with taking care of a yard (and zero desire to do it myself), so I had gone online and read countless reviews on various sites. After seemingly endless research, I hired CitiTurf for lawn mowing services. I love that I didn't have to lock-in to a long-term contract. Since last summer, I have also hired CitiTurf for Lawn Fertilization/Weed Control and Hedge Trimming services. They make working with them so easy - if I need to add or change (or delay) a service, I can do it very easily either via phone or email and it's always handled correctly the 1st time. The other night, I was pleasantly surprised to arrive home from work to find a sign from my HOA that I had won "Yard of the Month"!! How fun! I always did the fertilizing for our lawn. I was weary of trying a company...and paying for them. But after all of my hard work (hours of weeding even though I had fertilized) and purchases of fertilizer, we decided it was time to give a professional a try. A friend recommended CitiTurf and we have never regretted using them. For the first time since we moved into our home (6 years ago) I do not have to spend hours of precious time picking at weeds that my fertilizer didn't get. We have been using CitiTurf for our nearly 1/4 of acre fully landscaped yard over the past 4 years. They do an excellent job and always keep me informed of any rain delays, ending season lawn service, and beginning season lawn service. We have used them to trim trees as well. Numersous times I have had my credit card company reissue cards when they think that my account has been compromised. Cititurf has always continued to service my lawn and has always been understanding when a charge did not go through because I forgot to let them know the new credit card information. Love these guys! We hesitated to hire anyone because we have had difficulty in the past with poor quality or unreliability but Cititurf has far exceeded our expectations. I cannot express enough how wonderful CitiTurf is. My son became too busy with work and school to do the yard work and I am unable to do it alone so I was searching for someone to do it for me. Cititurf was recommended to us from a friend, and they have been great! Look, anyone can mow a yard, but to do it cleanly, leave good lines, mow different directions, tight edges... that's hard. They do a great job everytime, and I've seen them take equipment out of their trucks to "fix" a spot here or there that wasn't perfect after they had cleaned up. They CARE about doing a good job, and it shows. I'm VERY happy with their service, and I'll never give anyone else a try. I'm a customer for life. @CW - I'm not sure you have the right company. I've been using Cititurf for many years including two homes. I haven't experienced customer service like these guys from any other service I use in any category. They just get it done with a great attention toward the customer. They don't pressure you, their cost is very reasonable, their employees stick around, they come as scheduled and if there is a rain delay, they contact you with your method of choice to let you know (email, phone, etc.). Without a doubt the best I have ever used, period! CitiTurf is always prompt, and their work is excellent. We use them for weekly mowing as well as periodic fertilization. They cut a different direction each week and even move our trampoline around so the grass will not have issues. The billing is simple and accurate, and if I call with an issue it is addressed very quickly. I have only been a CitiTurf customer for a few short months, but their service has been excellent thus far. When I set up the mowing service, my lawn was mowed promptly the following day. When I had to cancel a mowing service due to a vacation, I was able to cancel the service for that week with a simple phone call. When I needed landscaping service, an honest professional promptly came to my home to give me a fair estimate and then sent a follow-up document the same day. I had them doing mowing services bi-weekly and they always came on their scheduled day; if they weren't able to make it out (usually due to weather), they would show up the following day. They offer many other lawn services , such as flowerbed weeding, mulch, etc. The guys are quick and efficient and do a great job cleaning up afterward as well. I recently had to cancel my service with them because I'm moving out of state, but if I was staying in the Dallas area I would definitely keep them as my lawn service providers.

I posted the review below before the owner called me and rescheduled it and corrected it…read more The still skipped my courtyard and just do the back yard but at least that was done. :) I scheduled them yesterday to come out today to mow my front and backyard including my courtyard. My husband left the gate locked and took the key so they would have been unable to get to the courtyard and backyard. I called first thing this morning to see about a possible reschedule. A woman called me back and stated that I have to give 24 hours notice for a cancellation! I scheduled it not even 24 hours ago and just needed a reschedule, not a cancellation. She was unwilling to do a partial charge since my front yard is extremely small (zero lot). She said she emailed me a contract??? I didn't sign anything nor did I receive an email. She said I would be contacted by the dispatcher after 12 when he got in. It's 1:36 pm now and I am just annoyed with this company due to this woman who doesn't understand how to work with a first time customer!!!

Like a few others I would have given them ZERO stars if I could. I hired them last year through an…read moreonline company called Greenpal. It's like a Thumbtack or Angi for landscapers to get business. My rate was $30 for a basic mow & they worked on my yard for a few months from May-Nov 2024. Not wholly happy as I had contracted for every 2 weeks & between the first now & the second was only about a week. When I questioned the owner, Chance he replied that he had done the initial service out of his route for Plano & needed to do it again so soon because that was "his" regular Plano day. I told him that wasn't acceptable & that the agreed service schedule was supposed to be every 2 weeks & that he wasn't free to change it anytime he felt like it. They would come on different days & were supposed to text me when on the way so that I could secure my dog. A couple of times they left the gate open & it was a miracle that she didn't get out. Fast forward to 2025. I put in to have services start on May 14th. They still haven't shown up at my house & keep postponing my services. Now my grass is tall enough that I got a notice from the city. Wednesday I texted Chance as I was inquiring when they would be coming & let him know that I really needed it done & that the city was getting testy. He apologized for the delay & said they wouldn't be in my area until Thursday to get my yard mowed. At 3:15pm on Thursday I texted him again & stated the lateness of the hour & asked when they would be coming. I got a sarcastic text back saying that he knew "what time it was". I texted back & asked when they would be coming. No show AGAIN & no response. My rate for 2024 was $30 per mow & when I agreed to services for 2025 that is the rate I was given again & what showed in the system. When Chance replied to my text on Wednesday he told me that he had raised his price by $10 a mow & that if my rate was $35 it would now be $45. At the most it should have been $40. I really needed to get it done as the city is breathing down my neck so I was just going to let him do it the first time & find another landscaper. He went into the system that night & changed the rate to $45 which was a 50% INCREASE! When he agreed to provide services starting on May 14th it was $30 & it showed in the system at that rate for 2 weeks. Texted again today & asked when they would be coming & again NO RESPONSE. I have FIRED them in the system & have hired someone else. Now because he has delayed me over 2 weeks my grass is tall & I am going to have to pay an extra charge for the taller grass. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They are unreliable unethical & unprofessional.

Nobody is going to sit and wait for them to show up where there is no specific date of service. I end up cancelling all services. Disappointed. Reply to the commentsl below. Yes I was out of town that's why the service was rescheduled to the week of May 11. What I am asking is if you can't provide service for the week I was told, send out a notification to your customer. Don't make it sound like it is my fault being out of town.

You now reach a call center and management no longer communicates with customers. Called two weeks ago to inform them that my entire was not being mowed and that I had grass down the center that was at least 3 to 4 inches taller. Gave them two weeks to correct, still not correct- it's now worse, I have strips of tall green grass and burned grass to the soil. Was promised crew would be out on Friday or Saturday to fix. Waited until late Saturday and was then told they were waiting on the crew manager to reach back out to them and they would try for Monday. I asked to speak to a manager and was told the new management team no longer does this. To add insult to injury, they mowed off a sprinkler head in an area they mowed too low. After I shared I recently paid over $400 to have my whole system checked and repaired, they came out within a few days to fix the broken head. When I called Chorbie Weed Treatment, they actually made an effort to keep my business as they now serve as two separate entities. I hired another company to come out and mow properly. Yard looks great again. It's just hard to believe they just let a loyal customer go that fast.

Very disappointed in my service with this company. They will mow the designated areas but do a…read morehorrible job of blowing off beds and paved areas and will not lift a finger to pick up a stick. I paid for them to poison my weeds and the man was there for 2 min and didn't spray anything. They said they would respray if necessary when I asked for a refund. The weeds of course didn't die and they charged me anyway. They have nice trucks and advertising but just horrible service. They won't answer the phone; they will only communicate through email and on the portal which doesn't work. On to the next.
