The past several months, for some reason, some of my oak trees started dropping acorns nonstop! What a challenge! I used Go Mow for two years and was content. It's a bare minimum lawn care service provider where they will got your grass, trim your edges and clean up the grass debris. In the winter they generally do a good job with leaves (which I did not have many except those that blow in from neighboring yards). Unfortunately, they charged me for service that did not take place. I had evidence of before and after work from my ring cam which always goes off when they arrive. They never came, but claim they did. I understand mistakes and misunderstandings, but from the beginning of my communications directly with GoMow they insinuated that I was wrong. Even after I sent the visual proof with timestamps they were insistent that the crew claimed they came. I simply couldn't trust them again and had to end service. If you use them, I highly recommend you check their work weekly and take pictures before and after pictures. But even with those they may not still believe you. read more

Each visit, the crew mows less and less of the yard. Trimming is only ever half done and edging rarely. We have called several times to correct issues and have only been given excuses rather than solutions. Do not recommend and will never use them again. read more

I recently left town for 6 weeks and I decided to hire gomow. My friend who was watching my pool sent me pictures of my pool littered with grass in the skimmer and polaris after the first initial mowing. I would have thought that around the pool they would bag the clippings or at least try to clean up after themselves. I was on my honeymoon and didn't wan to deal with the issue, but my friend contacted me the next 2 times they came out and each time he had to spend over an hour cleaning the mess they made. Additionally they ran over the the hose on my side yard and ruined it. Finally, while I can't say 100% unequivocally it was one of their guys, after hiring them the shed on the side of our house which is relatively discreet and not noticeable from the outside was broken into (lock cut) and we had about 500 dollars of lawn equipment stolen. For service I would have already given them 1 star, but I'm imploring people to be cautious when hiring them. They assured us that all their crews have been with them for a while and they have had no other incidents so perhaps it was an unfortunate coincidence. read more

I did business with GoMow for a couple of seasons and the crews did an OK job. I have pretty simple landscaping. My first issue happened when I tried to plant some things in my backyard to improve my landscaping and their crews mowed it all down twice, even after I posted signs to not mow/weed there. They actually were very gracious when I called to complain and gave me my money back for the plants that had been destroyed. OK. Fast forward to this spring. My yard was overgrown and needed a mow badly. They said OK we need to charge you more because your grass is tall. Fine. I come home from work to find that they'd left all the overgrowth basically bent/thatched over. I wish I could add the pictures because its hard to explain, but I basically spent hours raking up all they'd just kind of bent over so that what was left of my lawn didnt die and I spent money to buy seed to reseed my lawn where there were dead patches because they'd left all the old dead stuff on top. So I called them expecting that this would be like the last time and instead of doing the right thing and at least giving me some money back they insisted that their crew was blameless - we went back and forth for a bit and I eventually thought the matter was settled but fast forward to now they have a collections agency calling me. Just beware that the crews they send out don't really care about your property and if my experience is a gauge, half the time they won't take any responsibility for damage done. read more

Once again, if there was a 0-star option, these guys would be right there. I received a flyer from GoMow.com and thought it was a genius idea. It was a quick and easy billing option and seemed like something that people have needed all along. However, each time I had to deal with these people made me less excited and more irritated. I had my lawn mowed the first time and was somewhat pleased, even though they arrived a day late because their truck was robbed. I felt bad, so I didn't complain. The second time I had the service, they came 3 days later (I was signed up for weekly service) and called to inquire about the strange time schedule. Instead of an apology or an explanation, Josh, who I assume is the owner, called to argue with me. I called later to change to bi-weekly service and AGAIN! Josh wanted to argue with me. As for the lawn service itself? Terrible. I mean an absolute joke. I'm sure they pay these guys next to nothing because they get the job done in 10 minutes, and believe me, that's not a good thing. I have a HUGE front and back lawn and 10 minutes will not suffice. The website clearly states that the men mow and edge your lawn, but this is an out and out lie. My dog could edge better than this. They left tall patches of grass untouched. I could go on, but it's not worth it. Don't bother with this service, it is truly a rip-off. read more

I had the same experience as another reviewer. I used them for two months and not one single time was the lawn mowed or edged correctly. I really wanted to give them a chance to I contacted the office and sent pictures and tried to work with them. There were always patches in the grass that were just not mowed at all and sometimes they wouldn't edge at all. Sometimes they would edge some of the yard and miss other things. If you want a simple mow and blow then GoMow will be perfect. Please keep in mind this is not a horticultural, science based landscape company. They quickly mow and edge adequately and the guys are pretty nice. I also find their company communication to be pretty good as I get regular emails letting me know when they are behind and what to expect as far as scheduling. Right now, they are behind schedule but that is to be expected due to all the rain. You really don't actually want your lawn mowed while the soil is soggy and the grass is wet. If you are looking for actual lawn care pros that will assess for insects, disease and fertilize with quality organics that feed the soil and not just the plants, then there are quite a few of those in town. Think of Go Mow as your hair stylist, but you do the deep conditioning. :) read more

If there was a zero, that's what I would give them. We used their mow service for a couple of months, and was generally okay with them. They would mow the grass to short during the summer, but we let it go. We decided to use them to clean out our flower beds and add new mulch. Worst decision, ever. To start they didn't clean out the beds, and just put mulch on top of the grass, limbs, leaves, debris, etc.. We called them to notify them the beds were not cleaned prior to the mulch, so they offered for a supervisor to come out and "reconcile" the situation. After clearly showing them what was wrong, all they did was come back and add more mulch on top of the original mulch they added. All in the midst of this they were "cleaning" up their mulch mess by blowing it in to our neighbor's alley, we only knew this because we got a letter from our neighbor telling us. So we notified them again of the issue and sent an email with pictures, this time they argued with our complaint and said we were not stating the "facts correctly". The fact that they are willing to argue with their customers proves they are not a company anyone should hire. The total project was $500, big waste of money. DO NOT USE this company. read more

I have had nothing but excellent service all year from GoMow. I like the emails alerting us to rain delays so we know when they are coming out to mow. I get the same guy every time, and he is very reliable, quick, and efficient. We have 3 dogs, and he never forgets to close the gates when he leaves (which was not the case with our previous mowers).
