The other day when I was in the restaurant I went to use the Kiosk in the restaurant when Adriana walked past me and greeted me by my first name. Mind you I had not placed an order yet so her memory was not refreshed by an order where it shows the customers name. She very sweetly while multitasking during the commotion and loudness of lunch rush she so very sweetly said " Hi Breeana" To some people thats not a big deal to me I found it to be an extremely sweet gesture of kindness. I cant imagine the hundreds of people she sees on a weekly basis but she knew my name and addressed me as such. If she ends up reading this I would like to tell her Adriana you are an amazing person and I cant begin to tell you how impressed and grateful I am that you remembered my name I am nobody special but you made me feel so important and you absolutely deserve to be recognized for you exceptional customer service and interaction. I could not allow the sweet gesture to go unnoticed. After ordering, I walked to the salsa bar (all the way on the other side of the restaurant) and what--mango salsa?! (The small talk cause cmon, how often do you see mango salsa at the salsa bar) + your typical salsa verdes and roja salsa + homemade pickled jalapeños onion peppers + extra onion & cilantro + limes and I'm sure something else. Got carne asada tacos with rice and beans on the side for the kid. Got a rice and bean plate with carne asada with a jalapeño and tortillas. I know it's literally the same thing but mine is just "deconstructed." The meat and beans were dry but had helllllllllla flavor so I'm not even mad. The beans just needed some liquid cause it was so dry it didn't touch/spill over on the rice. The carne asada was chopped up already but it needed some fat for moisture but nonetheless full flavor and spices! Will be back to try the other meats.
