Had a great girl dinner with some friends at Cira on a Friday night. The crowd was really chill and the vibe was 30s and 40s. What I liked is that the DJ was spinning some good music and the drinks were flowing. On this occasion, I had a really good spicy Margarita and I also had a Hugo spritz. That paired really well with the cheeseburger and french fries. Cheeseburger is on lunch menu. For the table, some of my friends also ordered the hummus which was really good and another favorite was the baba ghanoush. All in all it was a very nice dinner and I would definitely come hang out, but I get this establishment if I was in the Fulton market area
Went to Cira for brunch! We ordered a good variety of options from the pick 3 pastries, to the breakfast sandwich. Overall, taste of food was good, but nothing spectacular. Located inside of the Hoxton Hotel, the ambiance was very upscale and the high ceilings helped with the acoustics. Service was great and our waiter provided lots of information to help our table order. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Cira. I would recommend checking it out!
Beautiful atmosphere, decent food, outstanding service. this restaurant is located on the first floor of a hotel. it has a really nice atmosphere -- rustic, open, bright, with comfortable couches and a bar. i ordered the shakshuka with chicken sausage on the side -- a bit salty, bread was good, but flavorful! my friend ordered the mortadella breakfast sandwich but she doesn't eat pork so they offered to replace it with avocado. she didn't end up liking the sandwich because she didn't like avocado, but the waiter noticed she wasn't a huge fan and totally took it off our bill entirely without even questioning or asking us. that was a really nice gesture! overall i'd say the food is decent, but the service and atmosphere were absolutely phenomenal and stood out to me. i'd come again to try more dishes and sit in the nice space , but i do not expect to be blown away by the food.
Came here for breakfast and was greeted and seated right away. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the Hoxton hotel. I liked that the menu had lots of healthy options like avocado toast. I ended up getting the avocado toast with a side of 2 poached eggs. My breakfast came out pretty quickly and came out exactly as ordered. Tasty, filling, and healthy. A bit on the pricier side given they're nothing too special or inventive, but honestly I was just looking for something simple. Service was prompt and professional. TLDR; very solid breakfast spot if you want "basic" healthy breakfast options.
Came here right after brunch and honestly had such a good experience overall. We sat at the bar, which ended up being one of my favorite parts because the bartenders were super nice at the beginning and made the whole vibe feel really welcoming and relaxed. We ordered the Crispy Falafel with garlic yogurt, seasonal pickles, and lemon oil, and I was actually obsessed with it. I've never had falafel before, so I didn't totally know what to expect, but it was absolutely delicious. The garlic yogurt added such a good flavor to everything and tied it all together perfectly. My only tiny complaint is that I wish there had been a little more of the yogurt because it was that good. For drinks, I got the Tequila Sunset with tequila, saffron liqueur, orange, grenadine, and lime, plus a mimosa, and both were amazing. Super refreshing and perfect for a brunch into afternoon drinks kind of day. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that the service towards the end wasn't the best, but honestly, it still didn't ruin the experience for us. The food, drinks, and overall atmosphere still made it a really fun spot, and somewhere I'd definitely go back to again.
Very yummy and the service was great! It did take 15 minutes to actually be sat for my reservation but happily there was a lounge area to sit and relax prior. All of the food was delicious! The ambiance was lovely as well
Went to grab brunch. Enjoyed the experience. I just didnt like the number of dogs I saw at the front area. I had the cream cheese stuffed blintzes, maple sausage, and emperor elixir. I enjoyed it. Cute spot. Service was good.
Beautiful restaurant located inside the Hoxton Hotel in Chicago, and the space itself sets the tone right away. The atmosphere is lively yet intimate, perfect for a date night or a special dinner without feeling stuffy or overly formal. Service was great - attentive without being intrusive, and our server checked in just enough to make sure everything was going well. Hummus: 9/10 Not much to say other than it was incredible. Smooth and flavourful Falafel: 9/10 Perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It was paired with pickled ginger and carrots, which complemented the saltiness of the falafel beautifully and added a nice brightness. Lamb Kofta: 9/10 So much depth of flavor with a great texture. Somewhat firm but not dry with a nice bounciness that made it really enjoyable to eat. Pistachio Ravioli: 10/10 my favourite dish of the night. The ravioli was cooked al dente with just the right amount of filling and paired with an orange blossom sauce that surprisingly worked perfectly with the nuttiness of the pistachio. Steak Skewers: 8.5/10 Cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. The beans served alongside were amazing as well. My only complaint is that the steak was slightly lacking in flavour, it could have used a sauce to elevate it but it was still excellent on its own. Lamb Chops: 9/10 Perfectly cooked and packed with flavour. Came with a lamb sausage spanakopita that was delicious. My only disappointment was that there were just two small chops. Rice Pudding Brulee: 7/10 Not bad. I'm not a big dessert person in general, but this was decent. Not too sweet, and the texture of the rice was really well done. Salted Tahini Ice Cream: 7.5/10 A mild, nutty flavor that was unique and interesting.
We dined here recently as a group of eight for a milestone birthday celebration. It was a very good meal in a lively but noisy atmosphere. Since we were a larger party with a variety of dietary preferences and restrictions, we had the opportunity to try a broad range of their offerings. There were some hits and a few misses, but in the end everyone came away quite happy. Appetizers: Hummus - fairly standard, topped with a pumpkin seed relish and served with pita. Baba ganoush - flavor was a little understated, could have used a little more spice. Seared octopus - tender and flavorful with a delicious za'atar relish; one of the favorites of the evening Mushroom skewer - I didn't personally try this (the vegetarians among us finished this off), but it was well-liked by those who ate it Pastas: Squash mezzaluna - cooked in brown butter and served with an agrodolce sauce, this was really excellent. Good thing we got two orders of this. Pistachio ravioli - orange butter saffron sauce topped with garlic bread crumbs, this was another favorite of the table. Mains: Grilled dorade - cooked with the skin on and topped with panzanella and a caper relish, this was one of my favorites but it was less well-received by others. The fish was well-prepared and moist. Chicken confit - prepared with a pepper and mushroom cacciatore, this was a miss for most of us. The tomato-based sauce just didn't seem to work, and it was hard to get the chicken off the bones in a clean manner. Tuscan steak skewers - we asked for medium rare but they came out medium, but it was still tender and flavorful. This was served on a bed of beans that looked odd but worked well. Desserts: Apple mille-feuille cake - caramel and mascarpone and thinly sliced apples; really very good Baklava with berry compote - it seemed like a good idea, but in the end it just didn't work. The baklava rolls were a little dry and hard to cut as well. Service was excellent. It is very loud in here and it's hard to have a conversation with anyone who isn't seated right next to you. The restaurant has also bought into the trend of keeping the lights at a very low level, which I guess is done for ambience but sometimes it would be nice to be able to see your food a little better.
5 Stars for a beautiful dining area and lounge, fantastic breakfast, and kind service. We arrived for brunch (without a reservation) on a Saturday and were excited to see they had room. The hostess took us over to the main dining area (there's also a lounge area closer to the entrance that looks like a lovely place to hand for drinks and bites). Shah was our server and he helped us pick the fluffy pancakes, the shakshuka, and crispy breakfast potatoes. All three were perfect. The shakshuka had a bold, rich, and deep flavor. The spices in this really shone and we were grateful for the crusty toast served alongside. The pancakes were such a delight!! Fluffy and almost like little soufflés! The compote and syrup gave us a perfect tangy/sweet combo and the side of crispy potatoes gave me the crunch and salt I desired. We were thankful for Shah's guidance and loved chatting with the chef who also stopped by. Overall, a definite repeat-worthy spot!
Super impressed with this spot. The ambience was an EASY 5 stars: massive restaurant and beautiful decor and natural lighting. We came for dinner after drinks at lazy bird downstairs. We ordered wine, which was excellent and falafel and bruschetta to start. Very fresh and good flavor. We ordered gnocchi for the main and it was pretty good but not the star of the show. Would def come back to try more of their well balanced menu!!
Came here for breakfast! Coffee was pretty decent but loved the avocado toast! Probably one of the best I've had in a while and the potatoes were perfection. Had some bacon on the side too but it's pretty standard. The space is so open and very much giving West Loop vibes.
This place gets really busy on a Friday or Saturday night. It takes a while to order at the bar and I wouldn't blame the bartenders but some of them just plainly ignore you and go to the person who come after us. The drinks were alright got their tequila sunrise and it was so bad. Ambiance and music is Great and it seems like it's first come first serve for seats after a certain time. There's a photo booth around the corner and lazy bird right downstairs.
I came here for dinner with a former coworker (and now friend) of mine after finding out she was in Chicago for business. I was able to easily get a reservation for that night, which is great since I wanted to show her around West Loop since the weather was so nice. We were seated quickly and our waiter was very attentive and helpful when we were choosing what to order. He offered insight and was very patient with us since it took us a little while to look at the menu since we were so busy catching up! The cocktails were fun - I got the Secret Garden and she got the Flower Power. Both were delicious and beautifully made. We ended up splitting the warm stuffed dates and local burrata. These lasted us a while and well into when we got our main course. Both were so delicious! I ended up getting the Pistachio Ravioli since it caught my eye. For dessert, we split the Blueberry & Almond - which was a blueberry Earl Grey sherbet with almond whip. It was perfect to finish out our meal. The ambiance was wonderful. There was a lot of sunlight and open space. My friend told me many times how happy she was that I suggested Cira and how amazing of a meal it was! read more

Visited Cira for a quick drink with a friend and I loved the ambiance/decor! It was modern but also casual; a great spot for dinner with friends or date night. This was my first time dining here. I really loved the interior design regarding the aesthetic and the ambiance, especially with the beautiful lights and plants everywhere. The service was impeccable. Our waitress explained the menu perfectly and recommended the favorites. Also, at the end we received a cute little cupcake since we were celebrating our college graduation. The Something Fruity drink was very good, wasn't too sweet, and you could taste the alcohol. The Muhammara was also very good however the portion of it was very small to be splitting amongst everyone. We tried all three pastas and each one was delicious, highly recommend each one of them. read more

Thank you for dining at Cira, Victoria! We're so glad to hear that…
Had lunch here with a friend, vibe was airy and bright and pleasant. The food was solid, I was content - the piri piri chicken pita wasn't what I was expecting but the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The pistachio ravioli was summery and light as well, and the falafel was flavorful and crispy as well. Would definitely try for dinner. read more
Everything was delicious! We ordered the shakshuka and the smoked salmon toast. It was super tasty. Our server was great. Very friendly and attentive. The place is inside a hotel, so the ambiance was beautiful. A great place to have a casual conversation and have a good saturday brunch. I would recommend this place! read more
People def come here for the views and for the vibes. I came here with my friends and we had a great time. The food was tasteful and great service. We ordered a lot of different dishes to try. Based off of the recommendation that people put on yelp and Google, it's a safe choice to get. The hummus, the skewers, all of it! Order it all! read more
I recently had the opportunity to visit Cira for both dinner and brunch. Great Ambience, friendly service, lively vibe and good brunch food with average dinner menu! For dinner, I visited Cira on a Friday evening. The restaurant was bustling with amazing energy, and we were promptly seated. The staff was delightful and displayed great courtesy throughout our meal. Drinks were really good (Pisco sour was on point) however, I found the food to be somewhat mediocre. We ordered muhammara, warm dates with goat cheese, pistachio ravioli, and the beet salad. While the concept behind the dishes was creative and promising, unfortunately, the flavors didn't quite come together to me. Interestingly, the following day my friend made reservations for us to have brunch at Cira. I have to say, the experience was notably better. We ordered Shakshooka, French toast, falafel burger and the steak. Everyone seemed to be satisfied with their food choices as well. In comparison to the dinner menu, I found the brunch menu to be more impressive. Overall, I appreciate the effort put into the creative concepts behind the dishes at Cira. While the dinner fell short of expectations, the brunch provided a more enjoyable experience. If you're considering a visit, I would recommend trying the brunch menu!! read more

Arash, we're pleased to read about your enjoyable time at both dinner…
My girlfriends and I stopped by Cira to grab drinks before our dinner reservations. We weren't in the mood for alcohol so we got their mocktails. They were both tasty and refreshing! From what I can see, there is a really chill vibe inside, ranging from people doing work on their laptops to groups of friends hanging out. It can seem intimidating when first stepping in because Cira is inside a hotel. However, just walk up to the host stand and everyone is super welcoming! We would definitely be back in the future for food! TIP: everyone is really just doing their own thing, so if you really want to use flash, go for it (; read more
I don't even know where to begin! The food, drinks, staff, decor, and music were all awesome! Even the restroom is beautiful inside with these beautiful mermaid tiles, AND they have this hand lotion that leaves your hands feeling so soft. The menu is meant to be shared, so between the two of us, we ordered 4 small plates and 2 entrées and it was way too much food. The muhammara was one of my favorite items, which was served with a super soft and flavorful pita bread. My husband says the ribeye was cooked perfectly, and he is a steak aficionado, so that is saying a lot. The roasted potatoes were too lemony for my taste, so I ended up taking it home. I tried the lamb sausage pasta for my entrée and it was delicious. I can't wait to go back! read more

Came here to grab breakfast and work a bit with a friend. Overall had rough service. Server took our order after 20 mins of sitting there and it was pretty empty. They then didn't come back until we were ready for the check. Kept looking at us but avoiding us we felt like we did something wrong lol. Our coffee order came out wrong which is NBD, but had to go ask someone else to assist and then they were kind and checking in on us. Asked for a refill on my coffee and was charged twice, would have loved to know that before ordering since my first was incorrect. Breakfast was good! Pricey but loved all of it. Sausage was really good much better than I expected! Venue was gorgeous. read more

Okay I was really excited about this place but thought the brunch was be okay and also not very Mediterranean? Located in the Lobby of The Hoxton hotel and in the Fulton Market area, this place comes alive after 8p. Friday night visit, the DJ spins Old Skool RnB and HipHop. The crowd is a great mix of mature adults dressed casually but chic. No dance floor, this is more for the seat dancer and standing floaters. Gets very loud, so not a scene for an intimate date. The restaurant part is segmented off to the back, so if going for dinner or a date, make a reservation. Visiting from StL, this was a great visit for our Friday night music exploring. read more

Contemporary decor with great food. I was able to mix and match and add additional sides to my French toast which was delicious. Avocado toast was fresh as the radish had a pungent scent still. Service was quick and attentive. I would go again as brunch was a fun spot Sun was bright and they didn't close the blinds so get there early so you can move tables read more

The vibe is so cool! It's inside of the hoxton hotel on the main level with lots of lounge like seating and cool lights. The service here was the only thing that made me not give this 5 stars. We were seated and didn't put in our drink order until 30 minutes after we were seated. Food was probably 45 minutes. Our first drink did not arrive until after we had our first app. Everything is made to be family style. To start we had marinated olives and the brown butter hummus. I loved this olives, they were perfect. The brown butter hummus was also delicious served with two big warm pitas. To drink wit had the vodka cocktail with pear. This was amazing. It had a smokiness to it. I had 3! Next from the small plate section we had the lamb/sausage dish. The sauce on this made the dish along with the marinated cucumbers. Big portion for a small dish. From the pasta section we got the pistachio ravioli. This may have been my favorite pasta I have ever had. It was so creamy and flavorful, overall just a beautiful dish. To end we had the brisket tips. These were very average, nothing special. We ended the night in the lounge area grabbing drinks from the bar. Overall a great vibe, very cute date night spot. read more
I came in here for a date night, and let me tell you it absolutely killed it. Cira does mostly smaller plates to share and I loved every bite. From the wrapped feta to the lamb kofta, every bite was a new experience. The cocktails were also very good. It can get a bit dim and the tables are a little close together but that just adds to the experience. read more
Loved my experience before. Unfortunately we came in as a big group before and got stuck on the back of the restaurant regardless of making a reservation weeks before. Ash - Thank you so much for dining with us at Cira. It's wonderful to…
Went for dinner during restaurant week. The stuffed dates had good flavor, but it would have been nice to get more than 1 small date per person. The burrata and brown butter hummus were good as well but nothing to write home about; not sure that the brown butter did anything to elevate the hummus. I enjoyed the mushroom mafaldine, loved the pasta texture. The brisket ends also had great flavor and texture, super tender and slightly sweet/savory glaze, but the rice and sauce that came with it, not so much (too salty, dry rice), and the portion size was insulting: 3 very small cubes on a smattering of rice. Dessert was fantastic though! Service was professional and warm, just a tad slow, but it was quite busy on a Thursday night. Personally I might come back to try again during regular dinner, but this experience didn't scream at me to plan another visit as soon as possible. read more

Cira is a vibe with good eats. This place can be a bit confusing as the sign on the outside of the building isn't large or really visible. It is a bit noisy but the dj was playing some beats. We ordered the falafel for our appetizer which was yummy. I ordered my chicken entree it was chewy and a bit tough. My friend ordered the lamb and she loved it! During dinner we had quite a few drinks. My favorites was the Jupiter's son and Con Salsa something. I ordered the carrot cake to go and my husband said it was awful. This look more like cornbread not carrot cake . read more

I stopped by Cira for the first time for brunch, and it was amazing! The interior is beautiful! There's an ample amount of seating and the natural lighting is perfect. The staff are incredibly kind and super attentive! I ordered the shakshuka (spiced tomato baked eggs, chickpeas, feta, toast) while my sister ordered the challah french toast (orange marmalade, milk chocolate almond granola, tahini whip). Both were super flavorful and extremely delicious. The portions were quite big, and we definitely needed to go boxes. I highly recommend stopping by if you're ever in Chicago! read more

Loved it! Came here for dinner - the service is so nice , the space is gorgeous with some cozy vibes, there always seems to be a lively atmosphere, and the food is great. Went here with some co-workers for dinner. We were able to score a last minute reservation so it worked out well. We ordered a little bit of everything. I wish I took pics of it all. Everything was just so delicious. The falafel was perfectly seasoned and deep fried. The scallops were tender and not dry at all. I went with the cacio e pepe pasta. The pasta itself could have used another minute or two, but it was devoured. Awesome vibes inside. The bar looked quite expansive. If I'm ever back in Chicago, I'll definitely stop by here for dinner and drinks. read more

Came here for a nice brunch with friends. I had a situation catching the train and had to postpone my reservation, but they were very accommodating even on a busy weekend afternoon. My friends and I enjoyed the drinks. The Bellinis made for a refreshing summer treat. I enjoyed my shakshouka, which had creamy feta, flavorful tomatoes, soft eggs, and the crispiest toast on the side. Also tried the French toast, which was fluffy, soft, and not overly sweet. The potatoes also had some kind of seasoning that made them addicting! Sophie did a stellar job! She was cheerful, welcoming, and took time to tell us what was popular as well as her personal favorites on the menu, and the service was quick and efficient. We really appreciated her! read more

Food is good, not the best I've had in Chicago-- but it's solid. Duck Fried Rice is bomb. Somethin' Fruity Cocktail was good but a little too sweet for me. Ambience is incredible. I swear every night I've been here it's been up. If you have friends visiting you on a weekday and you're wondering where to take them to experience a poppin chicago scene on a Tuesday night, look no further. The service is as good as it can be at a place like this. Pretty upscale so you know it'll be a pretty penny but it's kinda worth it if you like overpriced cocktails, sharing small delicious plates with your friends, beautiful light fixtures, hotel sandalwood smells, and a good vibe. read more
Went to this place for a last minute brunch as I found a reservation on Open Table. The ambiance and interior design was grand and vibrant. The design and furniture has an LA early Hollywood vibe. Most or all of the seats/chairs are comfy soft lounge chairs and the tables are low to match so you can eat easily. It's a dog friendly place so there were the cutest dogs coming in and out. The food came out super fast and the wait staff was very attentive and quick. We ordered the salmon toast and the eggs were perfectly soft scrambled on top. They give big portions as well. We also got the waffle which came with custard and jam on top along with maple syrup. The cocktails/mocktails came out fancy and appealing to the eye. Great place for a yummy, nice, clean and aesthetically pleasing brunch! read more

Eric, thank you so much for your truly kind review! We're thrilled to…
It all depends on what you're looking for... My family and I were out celebrating my brother's bday. Most of my family are over 40, so the Luxury of an evening at Cira seems to be the fit. I will mention it was the Friday night of Thanksgiving 2023, so many people were out. We called in to make reservations and were seated right away. One of my favorite aspects of Cira is their Phenomenal drink menu. I think they have one of the best old fashions in the city. I will note they have a rotating menu, and at this time, they were serving primarily Mediterranean food. They do, however, have a constant menu, which is in their black book with their drinks. Once I found this out, I ordered a pretty decent burger. Double patty cooked medium with some fries. My sister got the hummus and pistachio Ravioli, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Our waitress was kind and helpful. The rest of the fam was there for drinks which they enjoyed, and they shared aside of fries. We did intend to stay and go to the speakeasy downstairs; however, the line was a bit too long. Shoutouts to the DJ, but there isn't an actual dance floor at the Hoxton, so you must groove in your seat. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but it was a bit pricy. If you want a decently upscale experience and a few drinks with friends or your date, then Cira is perfect. 3 1/2 out of 5 read more
