Highly recommend. I chose this restaurant for my Moms birthday and noted in my reservation that our sister was joining us from NYC as a surprise dinner guests. The staff enabled us execute the surprise and our server got the celebration going by bringing a round of Prosecco for the table. First of all, to find Cira you need to go into The Hoxton and pass through Cabra, another restaurant. Best takeaways from this meal are the food and the service. Every time we finished up one of our plates and it was empty, the waitress immediately cleared the table and took it away. Talk about amazing attentiveness. Highly recommend the mezze platter aka the Turkish Breakfast and the shakshuka!! Really big portions too. My friend and I split the mezze platter and got entrees each but were not able to finish up our entrees. Next time we wanna to try the shareable brunch! Beautiful spot as soon as you walk in through the doors. The menu all looked amazing but I ended up getting the blueberry waffles from the brunch menu and it was amazing. I had a friend order a mocha but got a specialty cocktail (we took that as a sign to drink instead lol). Very COVID-conscious, with spaced out tables, mask requirements, QR menus, etc. The classic mimosas were fabulous, and brunch was excellent. Decided to try this place for their famous pancakes and Turkish Breakfast. While this restaurant is just inspired by the middle eastern cuisine, I came in with not expectations and an open mind. Although the drinks were good, the general consensus among us was that they were probably a little over-priced (for some of us they were just as expensive as our main course). I was excited to try this new restaurant in The Hoxton. My friends and I made a reservation for an early dinner since reservations booked up quickly. This is located in the back corner of the first floor of the Hoxton. Street parking isn't the easiest depending on when you get here. Valet service is offered but I'm not sure how much it is. Service was mediocre. Our waitress didn't seem happy to be working that day...maybe she was having a bad day and maybe not. The food was unimpressive. We share the falafel, razor clam, smoked mackerel "Taramasalata", and duck leg confit. The first 3 dishes were small. The duck leg confit was mostly a duck fried rice with a duck drumstick, but it was my favorite dish. The rest of the food was just average. The worst experience that we ever had in Chicago. We came at 9:20 for breakfast. When we arrived, the host told us that since we did not have a reservation, there was no empty tables for us before 10:30. We end up sitting on the bar. However, my boyfriend checked on the website and found out that it had a lot of spaces. We could even make reservations at 9:45, 10:00, 10:15 or 10:30 and ask for a table. We tried to tell this thing to the host. Here is something we quoted from the host. " well, we don't accept walk in. You could have made a reservation and we would give you table." By the way, the place was not crowded and had a lot of empty table...... We tried to talk with the manager. What we felt surprised was the manager did not think it is a problem. He kept explaining that they control the numbers of walk in in order to provide better service...... Does it mean that we don't deserve good service??? When we tired to explain that there was a better way to solve the problem. The host could remind us to make a reservation immediately and they give us a table. The manager did not even listen to us but kept saying the same things. When we arrived, half of the tables were empty. When we left, 1/3 of the tables were empty. :) Anyway, if you wanna go, go but keep in mind that. There are great other options obviously with better service and management. So I will not be coming here again for sure. read more

We visited Cira for brunch when we were visiting Chicago and I loved it! I got the turkish breakfast and my husband the Smoked Sablefish with cappuccinos and it hit just the spot on a rainy day. The hotels decor is so pretty that it was a pleasure just taking it all in. The turkish breakfast comes with a number of small bowls, I opted out of the sausage dish. The bread was fresh and the homemade jam so so good. I wish we had something like this in Atl. I am currently on the hunt. My husbands fish dish was pretty tasty as well. I came her for lunch. The hostess stand and staff are extremely unorganized here. We went without it a reservation and it wasn't that busy and ended up waiting an hour. It was 100 not worth it. The food is not good at all. I had the chicken pita. Had no taste at all and just ended u eating the side. Their service is even worse, received my food without silverware and before they even gave me a glass water or my drink that I ordered way before the entree. They had so many tables open too but sat us in the community table with other parties. I wasn't even able to flag down the waiter to bring us a check and had to go to the hostess stand. The food was mediocre to say the least.I had chicken, two others in our party had the leg of lamb and two others in our party had the pistachio ravioli -we tried The appetizer platter and the stuffed dates. Everything was bland and basically NON-EXISTENT on the plate. But all and all we could not read the menu or see the food, when it came. We asked if we might be able to have more lighting they brought us another votive candle, and said she'd ask the manager.. there was a light fixture above our table but the bulbs were missing.. nothing was done. I have never experienced anything like it we had to use our phones to light up the table. The lighting was the worst!! A horrible culinary experience at best. read more

Close to an hour to get our brunch of fluffy pancakes (prob best thing we tried), Cira eggs Benedict (not balanced, too rich in a bad way, not seasoned well either), Shaksuka (just plain tasteless). Cappuccino was good. Honestly, I think they didn't have a main chef today but decided to open anyway. Otherwise, no excuse. They did comp few pastries as an apology for the unforgettable slow appearance of lackluster food and we did appreciate the gesture. Food was outstanding but a little pricey. I got the grain bowl which was beautifully presented and had fresh ingredients (see attached picture). The drip coffee was strong and had amazing flavor!
