Not impressed. The decor is beautiful and inviting and the service is attentive but the food falls short. My number one complaint is that they put sugar or some sweetener in everything - the yogurt was sweet, the sauces were sweet, the savory stuff was sweet, the sweet stuff was extra sweet. Kills the taste... read more

Fantastic restaurant. Everything we tried was really good. The browned butter hummus and artichoke dip were great, the panzanella was really good, the scallops were so good we got a second order, and everything else was great. We had Nicholas as our server and we had a toddler and newborn with us and he was an amazing sport and provided great service. We can't wait to go again and try the other half of the menu! read more

Okay YES this was such a great date night spot. Need to know: super COVID conscious, great food & drink, reservations a must. We tried the following (ranked in order most to least favorite): pistachio ravioli (SO rich), falafel, mussels, hummus, and patatas bravas. I honestly would order every single one again. I think for 2 people we could have gotten away with one less app or side. Mixed drinks did not disappoint and a descent wine list was also available. Recommend! read more

We had been here on a Saturday. Walked in without reservation , however we got lucky and also cos we were there by 8.30 it was not really crowded. Ordered a Macedonian Pinot noir which was decent . For the food all I could say is they I have had better. The hummus was nothing unusual . The pistachio ravioli that my husband ordered was rich in pistachios but had some zing missing . Liked the ambience and even the service was really good . read more

The decor was very nice. I loved how open it was, and we sat in one of the round booths by a window. We ordered the Caesar salad with a lamb kobab, the octopus salad, and the Cira salad. Everything treated fresh and good. The octopus was cooked perfectly without being too chewy or mushy. The Cira salad was very tasty, but the portion was a bit on the small side. I think I will go back to try more of their other dishes. The service was on point. Overall, a nice experience. A little tip, the hostess is actually all the way inside the restaurant, so just keep walking in slightly to the left. read more

I have come here twice for a weekend brunch, and both times the food has been great. I love the smoked salmon toast (previously they had a smoked trout toast that was just as good) and my sister really enjoyed the shakshuka (looked like one of the most popular dishes ordered at surrounding tables). The pastries are also delicious and good for sharing. The only thing keeping it from a 5-start rating is the atmosphere itself. The second time I came, I brought my grandma, because I knew she would love the food and appreciate the modern-retro decor, but we were both disappointed with how noisy it was. There was a live DJ and the music was so loud we could barely hear each other sitting right next to each other. It honestly ruined a lot of the experience of sharing a good meal with someone. I didn't remember it being as loud the first time I went for a weekend brunch, so I am hoping it is not a regular occurrence. read more

So cute! Had an amazing lunch with my mom here. Such a cute sunny spot. Prices were reasonable for the area and how good the food was.

Amazing food, really enjoyed the three dip platter the dips were so delicious and the pita so soft. Came here for Christmas lunch, great ambiance and service read more

don't get me wrong, that avocado toast was amazing - jam-packed with multiple flavor profiles that all synced together very well. service was also pretty good. but the falafel was kinda overdone, and the ribeye was not impressive imo (i'm seeing now that i should have done more research as those dishes are not the popular ones...) and the portions were damn tiny boo... read more

Prefacing my review by saying we had the restaurant week prix fix menu. We had tuna tartare, falafel, butter chicken pita and chocolate cake. I would say the food was good, but not enough complexity of flavors. The butter chicken pita was the best- peanuts, scallions, grapes (didn't love that touch), well flavored and moist chicken, and a good pita that was grilled. The tuna tartare was great- not something I would want more than a few bites of though. It was well seasoned and prepared. The falafel was over fried and dry, but the garnish was good. The cake was very one note and sweet, almost saccharine. I would love to come back and try their everyday menu. read more

Brunch here was a treat! To start with, I just love their atmosphere and vibe. It's so laid-back and the hotel is really pretty so it's a nice place to eat. We ordered the cinnamon roll (which came straight from the oven!), avocado toast, toast + jam, fluffy pancakes, and the hash. I am a vegetarian so they were super accommodating and had a lot of great suggestions. I definitely want to come back and do their "shareable brunch" option. read more

Trendy spot in Fulton Market in the lobby of the Hoxton. Service was comically slow with nobody assigned to the area where I was seated. The food was fine but not worth very slow service. read more

Highly recommend. I chose this restaurant for my Moms birthday and noted in my reservation that our sister was joining us from NYC as a surprise dinner guests. The staff enabled us execute the surprise and our server got the celebration going by bringing a round of Prosecco for the table. The service was noteworthy, strong food knowledge, great wine pairing, let us take our time. Our waiter, Andrew, took such good care of us I felt inspired to write this review. Andrew, you were spectacular, thank you. You made our night. Standout dishes were the octopus, lamb tagine, lamb dumplings, and gnocchi. The beets and burrata left something (flavor) to be desired. Should have followed Andrews lead and ordered the hummus instead. At the end of our meal we got a night cap at the piano bar downstairs. read more

We were lucky enough to get a table to experience the dinning here. There were 4 of us at a round table. We all really loved what we had, sharing all of it. It was the typical smaller portions at a place such as this, but it was all very tasty. The only thing I would add is that it was very loud, so it was hard to keep up conversation across the table. I can't wait to experience some of the other spots in the hotel! read more

First of all, to find Cira you need to go into The Hoxton and pass through Cabra, another restaurant. Best takeaways from this meal are the food and the service. Every time we finished up one of our plates and it was empty, the waitress immediately cleared the table and took it away. Talk about amazing attentiveness. Highly recommend the mezze platter aka the Turkish Breakfast and the shakshuka!! Really big portions too. My friend and I split the mezze platter and got entrees each but were not able to finish up our entrees. Next time we wanna to try the shareable brunch! Oh and you definitely need to visit the most beautiful bathroom ever. The decor here is very on point! read more

Simply one of the best dinning experiences in Chicago. Great service with attentive staff, tasty drinks and range of innovative flavors. Cira was able to accommodate my party of 12 with no problem and course out food options wonderfully. The only knock against them would be there was too much dead time between the appetizers and mains which began to make members of my part grow a bit impatient but just in time they came out and did not disappoint. read more

I picked this place for my birthday brunch celebration with a few of my friends. Parking is always a nightmare in this area so be prepared to pay 16.00 for valet. We really enjoyed the food, ambiance, and the music. The service was extremely slow and there was a huge mix up with the bill and we were overcharged. read more

I loved Cira! Our waiter Jessica was amazing! My food was spicier than she thought (I had the cornish hen) so she removed that dish from the check and gave us champagne. My friend really loved all the food. She had the pistachio ravioli and the dates. We also had the ice cream and sorbet that were really tasty. Would go back to try other things in the menu if there are more gluten free items. read more

Cira never disappoints! The interior is classy, comfy, and spacious. The Pistachio Ravioli is perfection- such a delicate balance of bright flavors. Their NY Strip Steak is also one of my favorites. I'm sure all of their starters are great, but don't sleep on the Blistered Green Beans as a side/starter! read more

Hard to say anything additional than the great reviews already left here. Just wanted to give another shout-out to this spot. We came in on a Saturday evening during the holiday weekend and the service was great, the atmosphere beautiful, and the food outstanding. 40 minutes for someone to come take my order, and two table shuffling. I was about to leave when the waiter finally came, so I pity ordered because I was drinking their water. Won't be coming back again, I expect to wait another hour just for my eggs at this rate Update: eggs had a weird taste to them. Everything else was fine but overpriced for what it was. Gorgeous design that feels like a lounge mixed with a coffee bar, and the food and service were spectacular. Very COVID-conscious, with spaced out tables, mask requirements, QR menus, etc. The classic mimosas were fabulous, and brunch was excellent. If you are a fan of cubed breakfast skillet potatoes, you'll will definitely enjoy these! I had a classic two eggs, meat, potatoes breakfast, which I loved -- shoutout to the maple sage sausage, because it's delicious -- and will definitely be back for that shakshuka! Had a great time, felt safe, and loved my experience. read more

Great place! Friendly staff. Food is good value for money. Beautiful setting which gives this such a high rating.

Decided to try this place for their famous pancakes and Turkish Breakfast. While this restaurant is just inspired by the middle eastern cuisine, I came in with not expectations and an open mind. We were greeted by a very welcoming host and our server couldn't have been more accommodating. I would say their dishes are a little far from the traditional Turkish taste. Their drinks aren't bad. I couldn't find something to my taste but was pleased with what I ordered. Very comfortable interior. Would def recommend. read more

I was excited to try this new restaurant in The Hoxton. My friends and I made a reservation for an early dinner since reservations booked up quickly. This is located in the back corner of the first floor of the Hoxton. Street parking isn't the easiest depending on when you get here. Valet service is offered but I'm not sure how much it is. Service was mediocre. Our waitress didn't seem happy to be working that day...maybe she was having a bad day and maybe not. The food was unimpressive. We share the falafel, razor clam, smoked mackerel "Taramasalata", and duck leg confit. The first 3 dishes were small. The duck leg confit was mostly a duck fried rice with a duck drumstick, but it was my favorite dish. The rest of the food was just average. I was disappointed since this was hyped up so much for me. read more

Beautiful spot as soon as you walk in through the doors. The menu all looked amazing but I ended up getting the blueberry waffles from the brunch menu and it was amazing. I had a friend order a mocha but got a specialty cocktail (we took that as a sign to drink instead lol). On top of that hiccup, I felt like our table wasn't really given the same treatment as other parties. From the host stand to the table, I felt like an uninvited guest for the first half of the visit but I knew it was busy and there is a lot of ground to cover. At the end of the day, the experience was good. read more

Very nice restaurant! Came here for lunch and was a little bit dissapointed that they had the Manti only for dinner. I felt like their lunch menu was not too varied. I had some pasta with creamy cheese sauce and my husband had the Turkish platter. Cocktails where tasty and our waitress was nice and very informative. Overall-good! read more

The worst experience that we ever had in Chicago. We came at 9:20 for breakfast. When we arrived, the host told us that since we did not have a reservation, there was no empty tables for us before 10:30. We end up sitting on the bar. However, my boyfriend checked on the website and found out that it had a lot of spaces. We could even make reservations at 9:45, 10:00, 10:15 or 10:30 and ask for a table. We tried to tell this thing to the host. Here is something we quoted from the host. " well, we don't accept walk in. You could have made a reservation and we would give you table." By the way, the place was not crowded and had a lot of empty table...... We tried to talk with the manager. What we felt surprised was the manager did not think it is a problem. He kept explaining that they control the numbers of walk in in order to provide better service...... Does it mean that we don't deserve good service??? When we tired to explain that there was a better way to solve the problem. The host could remind us to make a reservation immediately and they give us a table. The manager did not even listen to us but kept saying the same things. When we arrived, half of the tables were empty. When we left, 1/3 of the tables were empty. :) Anyway, if you wanna go, go but keep in mind that. There are great other options obviously with better service and management. So I will not be coming here again for sure. read more

Don't go here for the restaurant. Might be a good bar for loud music, but not a place to enjoy a great meal. Food was truly disappointing. I have been all over the Mediterranean, and never had lousy food like this. Had all the small dishes, dates were OK, and spinach artichoke dip OK (forget, the puri puri, I couldn't get a subtle taste of it). The rest I wouldn't recommend due to lack of taste or terrible taste. Also got 3 main dishes, all lack luster given the description and prices. All I can say I would NEVER recommend this to friends or enemies! read more

We got the manti, pistachio ravioli, red pepper spread, and lamb roulade (in order of best to worst). Definitely recommend manti and pistachio ravioli. Did not enjoy the lamb. Following excellent social distancing. Ambiance is 10/10. read more

We visited Cira for brunch when we were visiting Chicago and I loved it! I got the turkish breakfast and my husband the Smoked Sablefish with cappuccinos and it hit just the spot on a rainy day. The hotels decor is so pretty that it was a pleasure just taking it all in. The turkish breakfast comes with a number of small bowls, I opted out of the sausage dish. The bread was fresh and the homemade jam so so good. I wish we had something like this in Atl. I am currently on the hunt. My husbands fish dish was pretty tasty as well. Service is fast and friendly as well.We will definitely visit again if we are in Chicago again. read more

This restaurant came highly recommended but failed to meet our expectations. Service was great. Ambiance was good. Kitchen painfully slow. Close to an hour to get our brunch of fluffy pancakes (prob best thing we tried), Cira eggs Benedict (not balanced, too rich in a bad way, not seasoned well either), Shaksuka (just plain tasteless). Cappuccino was good. Honestly, I think they didn't have a main chef today but decided to open anyway. Otherwise, no excuse. They did comp few pastries as an apology for the unforgettable slow appearance of lackluster food and we did appreciate the gesture. I don't think we will try them again as there are so many other brunch places to try. read more

I was Very anxious to try Circa since I have walked past the Hotel many times. My family and I had dinnerSunday evening and cannot find one good thing to say. The food was mediocre to say the least.I had chicken, two others in our party had the leg of lamb and two others in our party had the pistachio ravioli -we tried The appetizer platter and the stuffed dates. Everything was bland and basically NON-EXISTENT on the plate. But all and all we could not read the menu or see the food, when it came. We asked if we might be able to have more lighting they brought us another votive candle, and said she'd ask the manager.. there was a light fixture above our table but the bulbs were missing.. nothing was done. I have never experienced anything like it we had to use our phones to light up the table. The lighting was the worst!! A horrible culinary experience at best. read more
