Me and my friend came from NJ and had an amazing experience dining here- especially thanks to Alexa the manager and Larry the waiter. The food and atmosphere was amazing, but even more so the service was outstanding. They treated us very well and made sure we had a great experience. If I come back to chicago I would 100% come back read more

Cira is one of my favorite places in the city and it's host institution The Hoxton! It is not just the food and ambience, the magic is in the people. Probably one of the best managed and staffed establishments in Chicago, that's a high compliment but deserving when you can consistently create a warm, friendly and customer centric environment where every staff member works in sync with each other. Amil and the rest of the crew are top notch, the servers, bartenders, baristas, bus crew all warm, friendly and helpful despite the fluctuating traffic. I work occasionally through the afternoon into the evening as the crowd transitions from remote workers and hotel patrons to evening dinning and all transitions feel smooth and flawless. Highly recommend anyone to stop by and try either grabbing a bite at the main hall Cira, the rooftop dining at Cabra, or the bar downstairs at Lazy Bird. read more

I was excited to try this new spot and it did not disappoint. The food tastes as good as it looks. The Brown Butter hummus was probably my favorite of the three dishes we had but everything was amazing. We went during lunch and there were people there but not too busy. Would definitely recommend for lunch if you work in the area. It's kind of hard to find the reception desk on your first time and you have to go past the hotel lobby and you will see it tucked near the southwest corner of the building. read more

This place was very delicious. The entrees were good, but the real star of the show were the desserts. So much creativity, thought and uniqueness. We loved every dish, and they photograph well too. My only complaint would be the espresso was very bad, but not worth giving this place less stars. I recognize that it's not exactly a cafe, but they need to learn how to make better espresso and coffee, it was very sour tasting and disappointing, also I wasn't given a spoon with the espresso. The decor and vibe of the place is very cool as well and the bathroom is beautifully designed. read more

Fantastic brunch restaurant located at the bottom of a hotel. Classy yet casual, a great place to grab some coffee or brunch with friends/family. I had the grain bowl and asked for extra vinaigrette since I like my food saucy. Healthy, refreshing, and perfectly balanced, my grain bowl had a good amount of veggies and grain. My boyfriend ordered the shakshuka and never had I had such a delicious and hearty shakshuka. The sauce was chili-like savory and topped with 2 over easy eggs. Served up with toast, you're scooping up hefty portions of heaven into your mouth. I'm typically not a shakshuka fan because it's too tart an tomato based, but I was in loveee. Definitely will come back for meditarranean fare in chicago read more

Cira is a great addition to the West Loop/ Fulton Market area. It is located on the first floor of the Hoxton Hotel. The space is stunning, super high ceilings, tons of natural light and beautifully designed. Even the bathrooms are spectacular. But more importantly the food is delicious. We started with the crispy olives. I really didn't know what to expect but they were tasty and very unique. The olives are breaded and fried with lavender and honey on top for a very interesting flavor combination. We also had the beet and buratta salad which was tasty but it is literally just beets and burrata. No lettuce or additional salad.included. As a main course I had the ancient grains bowl and really enjoyed it. It has lots of different ingredients but they all work well together. The egg could've been a little runnier but that's just being nit-picky. Can't wait to come back for dinner or brunch! read more

Have come here a few times for drinks, and the atmosphere, music, and decor have always provided a warm but fun environment -- staying true to a classy, exciting, and busy hotel lobby. My husband and I came here for dinner on Friday night, and were seated near the bar, in armchairs. We got the meatballs, pistachio ravioli, and rigatoni, which we paired with a bottle of white wine. Everything was fantastic, and although it was very busy, our server was attentive. Highly recommend! read more

Awesome! Came here for brunch. Great service with constant coffee refills, love it! The Turkish Platter was very good and an exciting assortment. The Shakshuka looked and tasted divine. The baklava was good, but there cream cheese blueberry pastry wasn't that great or what I expected. Overall great place. Highly recommend for some exciting delicious brunch. read more

Beautiful and upscale place, great for people watching! The food and service were mediocre at best. We came here for dinner, so I can't speak for the brunch. We ordered the Moroccan beef tartare, which was the best dish of the evening. The burger and fries were just ok. The scallops and pork belly dish was totally drowned in some kind of sauce that overpowered the protein. Overall disappointed with the food and lack of choices. Didn't understand why they offer 2 kinds of toast options for dinner, but only 4 choices for entrees. Slow and inattentive service. read more

Great service, bathroom soap, and aesthetics. Food, only okay, BLT lots of bread, fresh veggies with hummus were dried out as if they were sitting uncovered in fridge, falafel overly crunchy and dry. Wish the food matched the vibe. read more

I was very excited to try this new spot at the Hoxton hotel. I went for brunch in a group of 4. The space is beautiful - lots of plants, high ceilings, nice decor. It's the perfect spot for a relaxing, chic brunch. We all chose a la carte options. Shakshuka - This was pretty good as far as shakshuka goes. It comes in a hot pan and is a pretty large portion. The only issue I had was that two people at our table got this, and mine came with very thinly sliced hard toasted bread, while someone else's had thicker, fluffier pieces of bread that go much better for dipping into the shakshuka. Not sure why this happened and why the inconsistency. "Skillet" - this doesn't actually come in a skillet, but has a great mix of fresh vegetables, ribeye, and sunny side eggs on top. Omelet - Also very fresh ingredients. It looks small but is pretty filling and satisfying. The service was a bit slow, but that didn't bother me too much this time as we were having a leisurely brunch anyway. read more

One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever encountered in Chicago. My friend and I went for a drink last night here, and we were discriminated against by the manager to pay our bill. We simply walked over to the bar to mingle and the manager came up to us two times within one minute to pay our bill like we were trying to avoid doing that or something. She had absolutely no respect for new customers and she did not do that to anyone else in that packed house last night. Because of that manager, she lost two customers by her attitude and demeanor. That manager was trying to make it like we were going to dine and dash which we are not those type of people. The way she interrogated us to get payment like we were running away was ridiculous to say the least. On top of it all she kept debunking my feelings about the way she disrespected us and kept trying to validate herself. As a Frontline worker myself, I know good customer service when I see it and that with some of the worst customer service ever and I felt extremely discriminated against. To make a customer feel like they were attempting to not pay for their bill is HIGHLY DISRESPECTFUL. I will never be going back here, or any bar or restaurant at the Hoxton hotel which I had highly enjoyed before but after this experience never again. read more

Solid 3 stars for multiple reasons. Coming here felt like walking into a hotel lobby. We were seated in what felt like a waiting area with low couches and a small table. The water was polite but talked us into more plates than we really wanted. The food was good, but some of the portions were humorously small for their price tag. We were done with our drinks early, before our food finished arriving, but our server never came back to offer us another round. It felt like they wanted to get us moving for another group even though we spent less than an hour in the restaurant. It was nice trying this place once. read more

A perfect place if you're staying in the adjoined hotel. The staff was friendly, the contactless menu and payment method was wise and their insistence on customers wearing masks during table interactions with staff suggests a concern for everyone's well-being that is appreciated. The interior appeared to be Art Deco but I could be wrong. With its high ceilings and low lighting the room was comfortable at night. The people watching is exactly what you'd expect for West Loop. The food flavors worked well together as no one spice or herb overpowered the other. I knew going in that it was small plates which is code for "small portions, large prices" and Cira didn't disappoint. Their signature cocktail "Rose Gold" also followed suit: small portion (less than 8 oz?), $15.00. Would I go back? Yes, if my friends wanted to. However, it wouldn't be my first choice based on what I received for what I paid. read more

Make sure to review your bill. They added a lot of things that we didn't order. I don't recommend this restaurant.

Boka group does it again - phenomenal spot in the middle of Fulton market to grab a quick bite or few cocktails. Very knowledgeable and attentive staff, flavorful meals and pleasant ambiance. Settings are relaxed and open. I've got dorade fish, my friends shared mussels and pistachio ravioli - all the dishes were well balanced and, needless to say, tasted incredibly. read more

We dined inside. The restaurant was beautiful. It was a very enjoyable, pleasurable experience for a light dinner with a couple of drinks. Overall very expensive for the food selection. For 2 appetizers and 2 glasses of wine, the bill came up to $120. We tried ordering a couple of different light appetizers and to my surprise both plates had vwry similar tastes with lots and lots of croutons/bread!!! read more

I might be rounding up here but I was just a fan of everything! The full experience at Cira & the Hoxton Hotel is overall just fantastic. From Cabra's views and food to Lazy Birds cocktail lounge in the basement, and Cira on the ground floor. Spacious and filled with locals and hotel guests, Cira delivers Mediterranean flavors through balanced dishes. The service was excellent from start to finish as Michelle waited on us. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and just really cared, which did not go unnoticed. It is important to find the right people for any business that care as your product will always shine. The food also came out super fast- that never hurts. I have to also mention the ambiance was impressive with the large open space that is filled with comfortable seating. You feel so welcomed and ready to relax. Lazy Bird & Cabra have wonderful interior designs too. All the dishes we had were good, not the best I have ever had. I'd likely get one of the larger dishes next time like the Lamb Tartine because I'm sure that's awesome. The standouts were Forsure the Crudite with the verde cool dipping sauce. Also, we really enjoyed the burrata & beets, Taramasalata and the Bordetto too. Welcome to the West Loop! read more

I come here a lot to work. The ambiance is great, it's often empty enough for me to feel comfortable working remotely. The coffee is great, and the food is good (though expensive for the portions - but that's expected in Fulton Market). However, for the last few times I've come in I've been made to feel like I'm overstaying my welcome. Waiters and Waitresses will come by and drop the bill without asking if I'm ready for it. I'll tell them I'm staying for a while, and I can't help but feel like I've annoyed them. Often I'll have to get up to flag a waiter down to place additional orders once they've 'closed up' with me. It's a very tangible sense of being unwelcome. Not keen to keep spending my money here. read more

5 deserved stars for Cira. I had an early dinner last Saturday, before a concert at the UC. Our server was super knowledgeable about the menu and cocktails. We started with the Brown butter hummus and tomato and cucumber salad. Both out of this world delicious. The hummus came with pita, the salad was super fresh. We had the Manti pasta and the whole Dorado for entree. The pasta was one of the best I have ever had. I had a lovely Rose with dinner, and a fun cocktail to start. We weren't rushed, and got to the show in perfect time. I will be back! read more

Tasty food. Service was good. The place was beautiful. Very nice place to have brunch.

Went to Cira for dinner tonight, and unfortunately won't be back. The service was incredibly slow - we ordered drinks, 25 minutes later found out the cocktails we got off the menu were no longer available, and received our (different) drinks after we had already finished our appetizers. The drinks were subpar, and my tequila-based drink tasted equivalent to a watered down all-inclusive margarita. As for the food, it was overpriced for average-tasting, small portion sizes. The spinach & artichoke dip was the best (though nothing to write home about), and the cacio e pepe was so salty it was inedible. Overall this restaurant has potential, but for this price point in West Loop, there's a list of places I would rather go to. read more

Going to give these four stars, although it could've been three for the service. Overall, the place is beautiful. High ceilings, great decor, good vibe. This is a good brunch and date night spot. The food was good and the Bloody Mary was great (spicy, FYI). The service, however...was horrible to begin. It was apparent there was a VIP party the entire restaurant was rushing to help, which seemed to make everyone else suffer in terms of service. The service did end up picking back up, though - which warranted four stars. I'll return for dinner at some point. read more

Cira is a beautiful spot in the Hoxton Hotel that features an elegant, modern Mediterranean menu. I came here recently for a weeknight dinner and had made reservations prior. They check your temperature at the door and lead you into the dining area, where the tables were spaced out nicely. My friend and I tried the Red Velvet cocktail which was really delicious. For food, we shared the hummus, crispy falafel, charred octopus salad, and pistachio ravioli. The hummus and the bread that it came with was heavenly. The bread was warm and buttery, and I honestly could eat it everyday for the rest of my life if it wasn't for my expanding waistline. The octopus salad was refreshing and delicious, and the falafel was well made as well. My favorite, however, was definitely the pistachio ravioli which was so creamy and felt like a warm hug in my stomach. I would highly recommend checking out Cira, if you haven't been here already. It's a great spot for any time of the day, whether it's to grab a drink at the bar or a weekday lunch or a romantic date night. read more

Good brunch! The things I loved the most were: The vibe of the space--lots of natural light, high ceilings, and cozy feel. Really enjoyed lunch at Cira! First of all, you cannot beat the modern but cozy, sunny ambiance. I could spend the entire day here. Second, the food was excellent! Our group shared the brown butter hummus which was unique and full of flavor. I'd definitely recommend as a starter! For my entree, I had the Piri Piri Chicken Pita which was really delicious. The pita was outrageous- so soft and fresh! The chicken also had a great flavor with some spice. The fries they served on the side were great too- hot, crisp, and fresh out the fryer! Can't wait to come back and try more dishes. read more

Came here for my birthday and had amazing service, our waitress was so friendly, offered great recommendations, brought a champagne toast and birthday dessert. I had an espresso martini - it was average, probably would get a specialty cocktail next time. All of the food was amazing, especially the falafel and dips. I would definitely recommend coming here if you love Mediterranean food. read more

Loved the food here! Thought it looked super cute from the outside and didn't realize it was a part of The Hoxton until I went to eat there. The vibe is super laid back and the layout is open because of the hotel. Next to Aba, it's the best Mediterranean restaurant I've tried in Chicago. Here are the dishes I tried ranked best to least best (because they were all great): 1) Lamb dolmas: so flavorful, perfect combo of spice and sweet, and the yogurt it comes with is so refreshing 2) Grilled chicken: so juicy, that's all I can say. If this hadn't come last and I hadn't already been so full this would be at the top 3) Sweet corn pasta: small portion and pleasantly light for a pasta 4) Beets and burrata: beets were so good and it's served with a buttered, toasted sourdough that's perfect for the burrata 5) Brown butter hummus: the highlight of this dish was the texture. The creaminess of the hummus was punctuated with fresh radish, onions and crushed peanuts Only con was that some of the dishes tasted a wee bit salty, but everything was so good. Highly recommend. read more

Came here on a Tuesday evening with my (very picky) parents! Easy to make and change reservations on open table. The restaurant is located in the lobby of the Hoxton hotel. They seemed to be hosting a company party near the bar, but kindly accommodated our request to sit away from the noise near the back of the restaurant. The cocktails were delicious and appropriately strong, but the food is why I came to write the review. The goat cheese stuffed dates were creamy, but not too cheesy, soft, warm, sweet, and a little spicy. The falafels were crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The muhamarrah was flavorful and came with 2 large, fluffy pitas. The pistachio ravioli was probably my favorite. The gnocchi was the only dish that fell short, but probably because everything else in comparison was out of this world. Honestly haven't been this impressed by a menu in awhile. Cant wait to check out their brunch and lunch menus! read more

We came in for business lunch with 4 of my colleagues. Service was at point and the food was equally as good. Surprised to see so many people having lunch around 2pm but the food didn't disappoint. Have given this restaurant more than a few tries and have been extremely disappointed each and every time, especially for the price point and because it is located in a nice hotel. Service: Poor/very, very slow. The wait staff is essentially non-existent during meal services. Every time we waited no less than 1 hour for a server to take our orders, despite asking staff for help in placing our orders for food. The wait staff essentially disappeared for the entirety of our visits too. Not only was the wait to order insanely long, but we also couldn't get any water refills, couldn't find anyone when drinks or coffee we ordered never came, couldn't find anyone when food we ordered never came. Getting the check is a whole other ordeal taking at least 30 minutes each time. Food: Mediocre at best. Too many missing items and incorrect orders that arrived to our tables at each visit. Since we couldn't get help from servers our groups just got stuck with whatever the restaurant served us every time. Our last visit all three cheeseburgers that our table ordered were completely RAW--not rare--straight up raw ground beef inside of the buns. A very far cry from the medium temperature requested for all three. Food safety issues here for sure. Ambiance: It's nice, but no amount of good ambiance can overcome the horrible service and mediocre food. Overall very disappointing experiences on multiple occasions and after giving this place so many chances I am giving up. Would not recommend and will not be returning. read more

My girlfriend and I came here for Valentine's Day. We were a little late on the reservation game, and CIRA was one of the only places with reservations when we tried to book. I think this lowered expectations, but CIRA absolutely knocked it out of the park. It was easily one of the best places I have been in a long time. I went in thinking I was going to order one way, but after talking to the waiter, we ended up changing things up. We started with the hummus and muhammara. Both were good, but the pita they were served with was incredible. I would say just make sure you start with something that you get pita with because it stole the show. For mains, everything looked good. We ended up on the pistachio ravioli and the steak. The steak was good, but it's not something you need to seek out in my opinion. The pistachio ravioli is completely different. I don't care how far away from this place you are, you need to come and try the pistachio ravioli. It's incredible. The sauce has a nice orange-y tang, and the pistachio filling is creamy and delicious. Highly recommend. read more

Food is pretty good but nothing special and the service is slow. The decor is modern and attractive but they blast loud disco music during brunch. It makes for a horrible atmosphere.
