CIRA is definitely a must go to. My husband and I LOVE their pistachio ravioli and their steak which we definitely recommend trying. Now, I would NOT recommend going on restaurant week. It was $59 per person with their special selected menu. For the first time I gotta say I was disappointed with not only the side dishes but even the main course. The side dishes were just bland. The salmon was lacking so much flavor. The ONLY good thing would be the piri piri chicken I believe. I definitely recommend this place but AVOID restaurant week. We honestly regret not spending our money in Cabra instead, which is located in the same building. read more

I have been here few times now! The menu has improved in terms of vegetarian options since it was opened, however, they can still definitely add more vegetarian options especially on their lunch menu. The vibe of the place is cozy yet opulent. It's elegant and inviting at the same time. The seats are very comfortable as they are set purposefully to be conversational with couches and chairs etc kind of like SOHO house. We love the mezze platter. It is pretty much all you need for 2 people. You can always order extra pittas.. highly recommend it! Also, they do have a rooftop area that you can checkout while you are there. The reason for 4 vs 5 stars is that device always seems to be slow. We have had to pretty much every time flag down the server at 2 separate visits in the last month. They definitely need to have more servers as it seems like the servers have too many tables to attend. I have also seen other tables trying to wave to get attention of the server so seems to be an issue. read more

Came to Cira on a Friday night. I came with some reservations because I found out Cira is in the Hoxton Hotel. I been to Hoxton hotel before and had a horrible experience. Well I shouldn't say horrible, more like a non existent experience. Place was so packed, for a buddys birthday, we had to leave and they wouldn't seat us at the rooftop. Oh well. Anyways, came here with the not so best impression of Hoxton and Cira is in the Hoxton. However Cira was awesome. First off the interior is really nice. The only negative I would say is that it was to dark. But other than that, pretty cool spot. I started with an Old Fashion. It was DELICIOUS. Another great spot with my go to cocktail that does it right. Highly recommend. For appetizers we decided to get the Brown Butter Hummus and the Falafel. The falafel was really good. The hummus that came with Carrots and Beets was absolutely delicious. So much flavor. However the main winner here was the hummus. The hummus was extremely fresh but the pita bread was out of this world. It was the best pita bread I ever had. It was soft, fluffy, melts in your mouth, I ate way to much Pita bread to the point I felt like I was going to throw up at the end of the dinner from eating to much. Next dishes we got the Manti. The manti are lamb dumplings. Wasn't sure what to expect out of this dish but the waiter recommended it to us and it was delicious. The sauce was perfect and the dumplings with lamb were extremely flavorful. We also got the Pistachio Ravioli which was also good as well. The main entree we went with the Lamb Tangine. I'm not a big lamb guy but this place does it right. Extremely flavorful. Everything was good. At a certain point, you know the place is good when you have no idea what you're eating but it's still damn good. All in all, this place was awesome. I highly recommend! Recap: Brown Butter Hummus - 5 out 5 stars Falafel - 4 out of 5 stars Manti - 4 out of 5 stars Pistachio Ravioli - 4 out of 5 stars Lamb Tangine - 4 out of 5 stars. Thanks Cira for a great meal! read more

Surprisingly AWESOME!!! It's been a while since I ventured outside of my comfort zone. Having a dinner on a Monday night without any reservations at all. Me and my family decided to try Cira. I checked the menu and I was not familiar with a lot of the items and relied on the servers recommendations. Let me tell you, food was PHENOMENAL. From the Local Burrata, Pistachio Ravioli to Grilled whole Dorade. The dinner ambiance is very warm and cozy. Servers are awesome and very attentive. It's something you must try when you are at Fulton Market....scratch that. ITS SOMETHING YOU SHOULD TRY. read more

Service at the bar is horrible. Waited ten minutes to even be acknowledged by the bar staff and when the bartender finally came over with a menu, he just dropped it off without saying a word. And it was just the drink menu, no food menu. There were a bunch of people clustered by the end of the bar by the well talking and playing on their phones, the restaurant was not busy. I've been here one other time and had a similar experience. I decided to come back and try it out but it was a let down yet again. read more

Great lounge seating in the restaurant and the hotel (Hoxton), always excellent hospitality from Aidan, Caryn and their wonderful team! They always make the experience so wonderful everytime we come. Also, the restaurant week menu is fantastic and highly recommend the potato crusted skatewing Awesome service by: Janina, Anthony, Aris, Jackson, Danielle and Madeline, they are all fantastic! Wow, JUST WOW! I have walked past this place so many times and stopped in here for the first time six weeks ago and the second time a couple days ago. The vibe of this place is absolutely amazing! The decor, ambiance, staff has been picked to perfection! The crowd that gathers there is your typical after work crowd, first dates or loners just looking for a drink or small bite! Now the food is F***** amazing! Order the ribeye when you get there! This steak was prepared to perfection and so amazingly, i asked our server to bring the chef out! The flavors, the cut, the seasoning PREPARED TO PERFECTION. I mean i have been craving this place for days and I'll definitely will be back. This is also a great date night spot for all you looking for a date night review read more

The decor is really nice inside. The restaurant seating is more inside since the bar and lounge area is more in the front area with the higher ceilings so it was quieter where were seated which was nice. The ceiling lights are really cool too. We had dinner at 5:30pm on a Saturday night on a cold January evening and when we left it was super busy. This place is def a hoppin' place on the weekend! For drinks, I tried the Harvest Moon which is more on the fruity side and it's not too strong which is good for me. They don't give you a lot tho. They fill it with a lot of ice and the drink is like half full when it's served. Their menu are shareable plates so my friends and I got the Mezze Platter to start off as an appetizer. The presentation is beautiful since there are so many different colors involved. I also love their dishware. It has more of a pottery look to it. The Mezze platter gives you a taste of all their popular appetizers especially with their hummus. The muhammara is my favorite. The falafel was overcooked so it was hard and crispy on the outside and really hard to cut into. The piri piri chicken was tender and juicy so it was cooked perfectly, but we put too much lemon juice on it. They make their pasta in house so the rigatoni had great texture, but I wish it was in a meaty sauce. I think it would add more flavor. The pistachio ravioli is a smaller dish and comes with 7-8 small pieces of ravioli, but it's very flavorful, rich, buttery, and creamy so it's very filling even with one ravioli. Our waitress was kind of MIA as we had to wait a little bit for her to come and take our order. It was mostly the food servers who came to our table and assisted us. I believe the manager came by and asked how everything was which was nice. My friends and I came here to celebrate my belated bday dinner and we told the hostess about it, but I think there was a miscommunication with our waitress who didn't serve us my bday treat. We were kind of bummed out about that. read more

Beautiful ambiance with tall ceilings and comfortable couches by the bar. Definitely great for hipsters, dates, and special occasions. All dishes were beautifully plated and tended to please my sight more than my palate. Fried olives over lavender honey sauce just didn't seem to go well together. They tasted better if you ate the olives and sauce separately. Hummus was beautifully presented with a bit of sliced radish and brussels sprouts served with a side of fresh pita bread. Grilled octopus and the lamb mantis were alright. If I go back, I would try something else. read more

Great place for a group to enjoy a meal. The music is rather loud so it's sometimes difficult to have conversations with people if you're sitting at their large tables. I ordered their falafel platter and it was just okay. The mezze platter, however, was amazing and I highly recommend. The price point is pretty on par with the rest of the area. The only drawback is that the menu is limited so if you have picky eaters, this may not be the place to take them. read more

Fell in love with Cira the moment I stepped in. Their three dining formats--cafe, bar and sit down full service restaurant--are all breathtaking beautiful. Modern chic greenhouse space with plenty of light shining in from all angles. The Hoxton is perfect for coffee + work, date with your beau, large groups, friends day out, and formal business meals (plenty of long tables). The Boka group clearly has their dining space planned out to the T for everyone. Wait staffs and managers were all very friendly and attentive to guests needs. Cira is a slam dunk success. Located in the hotel lobby, Cira has a great ambiance and had a classy, elegant interior. Great ambiance, excellent service, and delicious food! My group stumbled into Cira because our first choice restaurant nearby had a 2 hour wait. We were pleasantly surprised given that we had no idea what to expect. The ambiance here is very trendy and upscale. Very fun place to grab dinner and drinks! They have an amazing wine selection. Huge plus that they had a lot of big tables to accommodate to groups. Our server was very accommodating in helping us with food recommendations and picking out a wine the perfect wine to go with it. I came here for restaurant week's brunch on Saturday to celebrate 2 of my friends getting engaged. I put a note in the reservation saying that we were celebrating the engagements and requested 2 of the most popular desserts with congrats written and also said we had someone with a nut allergy. Upon arrival, the host was really mean. I asked if she had seen the note in my reservation and she replied, "I know" as she rolled her eyes and honestly it made me feel like I was in high school again. My friends and I were all seated pretty quickly and the server was incredibly nice so that was a relief. We ended up having to move seats because one of my friends brought her dog, and dogs are only allowed in a certain area. It was totally our fault but the manager actually apologized for the inconvenience and was so nice about it. I could tell she just didn't want us to feel bad. Our new server was just as nice as the original server so it was great. The table bussers were great too- incredibly quick with clearing our tables and getting us what we needed. Because it was restaurant week, it was a set menu and everything was really amazing but I have some notes. The first course I wish had more cheddar in the cheddar za'atar biscuit, the Shakshuka was good but I wanted more bread but I think that was just me being greedy, haha. For the third course my friend and I shared the Challah French Toast and Seared Tuna Salad. Both incredible but the Challah French Toast was slightly underbaked on 2 of the pieces. Still so delicious. The Seared Tuna Salad was OMG good. Like I could eat that every day of my life. I just didn't like the curry seasoning on the seared tuna. I love curry, but it just didn't taste right on the fish. I ended up eating the not curried part to avoid it. At the end, we did not get the 2 desserts we requested but a complimentary dessert, and just one. That's fine, maybe I should have clarified we were going to pay for the desserts they actually sell. I was however, frustrated that when it was brought out, the server only put the dessert in front of one of the girls and said congrats to only her. The server who brought it out (not our regular server) was so sweet and nice and I could tell she was not sure what to do since there were 2 girls with play wedding veils and "bride to be" sashes, but acknowledging just one person made it seem like I planned to leave one girl out and it just made me feel horrible. We waited for a server to come because I was trying to see if the desserts were still coming but our server kept running around and didn't notice we were trying to get her attention (we don't blame her at all, she was incredibly busy). I ended up going to the hostess stand to ask and the hostesses and she looked at me with the meanest look and said, "you got a complimentary dessert, it's free". Like, I know...I was asking about if we were still getting our actual desserts. She was being so mean, I ended up trying to defend myself and explain why I was frustrated which came out as babbling. Another hostess then came and started scoffing at me which was a really belittling. Literal high school flashbacks. A manager then came by and the hostess told me I could let the manager know what happened if I wanted, so I went into a defensive mode again and tried to explain. I wanted to cry but the manager was SO kind. I didn't even finish my babbling and she was apologizing and telling me she wants to make up for it and offering to do something. I told her not to worry about it. That we were just going to go. Right when we were about to leave, the manager brought us champagne and told us she appreciates us and that she was sorry for the confusion. We left soon after but I ended up having to go back because I left my wedding ring there and when I went to get it, one of the hosts was the one that got it for me and she was so mean again. I asked if she had my ring because I saw her bringing something out of an office and she rolled her eyes and put out her hand without saying anything. I put my hand out and she dropped it in my hand. I said thank you and she just rolled her eyes again. I'm truly conflicted. The food is great, the restaurant is gorgeous, and most of all the manager is the most incredible human, but the 2 hosts were terrible. I stand by my 4 stars since the manager and the rest of the restaurant was amazing but I don't know if I could go back, I'm actually scared. I'll crave the food and mocktails though. :( read more

Came here for dinner with a group of friends . Since they were a lot of different things to chose from we decided to order a few things from each category and share . This is one of those places where portions are small and a little bit pricey so sharing may not be the best idea . I recommend to order one or two things from the menu to get a nice size dinner . i don't remember the correct names but we ordered: * olives: sour & sweet with a hint of lavender , an unexpected explosion of flavor . * mackerel: creamy and flavorful. It comes with crackers. This was my favorite ! * hummus with green chorizo . I didn't find anything special about this , just your regular hummus (sight!) * cacio e Pepe: Buttery and super tasty . * octopus salad : this is one of those dishes where you can distinguish each one of the ingredients it's made of . It is really good but the olive oil can be a little bit overpowering after a few bites . The decor and atmosphere is pretty nice . The only thing is that wish we had gotten a table because the boot felt a little bit cramped , almost like we were sharing a table with the people next to us . The service is great , the waiters make sure your drink is always full and since they knew we were sharing to make the most out of the menu , our dishes were brought one by one and they gave us new plates for each serving . That definitely make the dining experience much better ! I can't wait to go back ! read more

Very meh all around. Went on a Sunday evening and service was a bit slow; then learned computer system went down, so took about 45 minutes to get main courses (wasn't told until 20 minutes into wait and no apology provided). Mushroom Bolognese was lukewarm, as was Pistachio Ravioli. Bolognese was good flavor but excess oil; same with spinach side. Pistachio Ravioli was interesting but also lukewarm. Also ordered dates and olives for appetizers. Dates were good; olives nothing special. Wouldn't go running back; found quality and flavor to be sub-par given pricing. read more

Place was 5 stars for ambience. Random coffeehouse kind of seating with a good vibe. Came for brunch and the menu was pretty limited. Nothing really stood out to me which is probably why my gf and I ended up ordering the same thing, which we try not to do. I have been in similar situations where I wasn't amazed by the menu but ended up being amazed by the food. Was hoping this would be the case but it wasn't. Please note we ate one thing at brunch and it was good but certainly nothing special. Perhaps they do better at dinner? Kind of felt like this is a really cool place to have coffee or a drink (which was great) on a Weekend day and "if you're hungry they have food too. Perhaps dinner has a different vibe? Hostess was great but the service kind of ran parallel with the food. Second. read more

Really neat looking place and not sure if 3 stars is being critical. We came in for dessert that was a little disappointing. Server seemed annoyed with us and not too friendly. BEST BRUNCH DEAL IN TOWN! This is the perfect place to come with a group... Or one other person as I did! For 25$ per person, you get: Banana bread with 3 different spreads (E.g. cookie butter, chocolate butter) Seasonal mezze spread 2 shareables for up to 4 people (What we did since there were 2 of us...) or 4 shareables for up to 8 people We ended up getting the Fried Chicken and Blintzes. These chicken thighs were perfectly cripsy and tender. Definitely get these! There was SO much food that we didn't finish these and took them home and they reheated so well also! Service was top notch! Food was amazing! We stopped in for just a light bite, knowing this was a Mediterranean restaurant and they had vegetarian options. We just wanted something light. We started with a beet strawberry salad on a bed of spiced feta. So good, and not a combination I'd try at home. Then the Falafel were so fresh and tasty. Crispy, just as described. We also had the garlic scape sunflower crudités. Slightly spicy and just fresh and good. We finished with dessert. The lemon white chocolate cremieux was so good. Not too sweet, tartness from the lemon and balanced by the fresh raspberry. Just a superb ending! Well done! read more
