This place is great if you like cinnamon rolls. If you desire toppings on your cinnamon roll then this place is perfect for you. You can either order what they have already came up with, or you can make your own. I usually end up adding waaaayyy to many toppings to the point that it just becomes an abomination, literally. They have so many great toppings its hard to even decide how I want my cinnamon roll to taste which is why I end up with a "everything" cinnamon roll. I'd definitely say go for a certain type of taste your looking for when ordering. Such as, white chocolate with raspberries, or caramel with pecans. You know, that type of thing? Taste wise? I'd still say a cinnamon roll at Cinnabon tastes better. (No hate, I love all sweets) But let's keep in mind I'm a sugar feen so I like my cinnamon roll to put me in a sugar coma. If your not like me then this would be a definite first place for you. This is a great second place for me considering there isn't much Cinnabons around anymore. The cinnamon rolls here are a little more dense and dry then Cinnabons are. (I like my cinnamon rolls coated) Not by too much but enough where I can tell the difference between the two. They are also not as gooey and soft as Cinnabons cinnamon rolls are. They were super busy. We came after an event that was held downtown in Chandler super hungry and craving them. But I digress. Got sent two cinnamon rolls from here on my birthday, Cookie Monster and OG. The OG was pretty delicious and the cookie monster was pretty decent too. Not sure what it was in the cookie monster that tasted a bit off and bitter, but if it wasn't for that I think I would have enjoyed it more. I tried one of these for the first time and just got the Old Skool classic cinnamon roll. I thought it was good, but nothing really special about it. I thought it was really lacking in the cinnamon department. I imagine if you are a vegan then it's probably the best you'll find. But, I'm not a vegan and I'd gladly take a Cinnabon over one of these any day of the week. The service was really good and they have a ton of topping choices for your cinnamon roll. First things first, this place is Vegan, which is huge for my wife who can't eat dairy. They don't advertise it and you won't know it, they don't want to scare people away but we were thrilled to finds delicious desserts that contain zero dairy products. Now to the good stuff, we really loved everything we tried. The Amaretto icing stood out to me and I loved it, as did my wife who preferred mine over her traditional one. Adding raspberries gave some tart bites to break up the the sweet, it's almost to much otherwise. The almonds mainly added texture, which was nice. We also tried the cinnamon cookie and brownie and loved every bite. Be sure to sign up for their Facebook list for coupons so you can try more flavors. read more

Not terrible by any means but have had many cinnamon rolls that blow this place away! I love cream cheese frosting but their frosting you could hardly tell it was cream cheese flavor.. was very disappointed by this however it's definitely better that the old skool icing. I think if you are gluten free and vegan then this would be great since you can't have the really good stuff. Also, they're quite expensive compared to way better ones so I don't see much point in coming back here unless I have a good coupon. read more

First time at Cinnaholic was not so bad. I tried the new pineapple dole whip which was good but a little overpriced for such a small portion $3.75. The cinnamon roll was an interesting taste. It could have had more cinnamon flavor but I think it was drowned out by all the toppings. This place is a trek from Central Phoenix, but it's worth the drive! For my first time I tried the original roll and a build your own with caramel and pecans. The rolls were soft, fresh and super delicious! You wouldn't know unless you looked it up beforehand, but everything is VEGAN! Cinnaholic is bringing plant based, build your own cinnamon rolls to the masses! Located right in the heart of gilbert at San Tan village is cinnaholic! They offer baked goods like cookies, brownies and most importantly cinnamon buns! You start with your base bun and then choose your frosting. The frosting ranges from traditional to your less traditional like peanut butter or marshmallow. Then you add your toppings like oreos, pretzels, fruits and other fun treats and it is done!! The treats were sweet but it was absolutely delicious! I got the peanut butter frosting, with peanut butter cups, oreos and bananas with a side of marshmallow frosting! Best part is that it is all plant based. They even made the peanut butter cups in house. So now vegan friends and non vegan friends have somewhere they can eat dessert where everyone's needs are met! I was debating on going on their grand opening or not and decided to do it the following day. Inside was pretty warm, which was causing me to sweat and ignite my immune system when the first sweat droplet formed. But I bared through for this amazing cinnamon roll! My order was: Strawberry icing with Strawberries, Pecan, and caramel drizzle as my toppings. The bun is what really puts it all together. When pulling it apart it still has that doughy consistency, and once you put it in your mouth....It's heaven. Way better then cinnabon, but pricer. First of all the name is genius! At first I was overwhelmed when I walked in because there were so many options. However, I was greeted nicely and the employee walked me through how to order. It wasn't too expensive for you get, which is a lot by the way. I ordered the Cookie cinnamon roll and couldn't eat all of it. The rolls come in to-go boxes so I could have taken it home. However, I was afraid that it was going to get soggy. The place is quaint and clean. There is seating outside which is nice. Water is also available without having to wait in line which is awesome because the rolls are sweet. I found out after the fact that this place was vegan and I couldn't tell the difference. Wow. The things this place can come up with. I made my first visit since they opened and it was good. Hours slightly strange for a place serving a breakfast staple. They don't open till 9 am, we got there right at 9 and took about 15 minutes for the rolls to finish and be dressed in their toppings. Manager made the wait right with a nice treat on the house. It could be argued it's a dessert place with how Sweet the rolls are. I tried one of their case rolls the cookie dough roll and it was sweet but good. The wife didn't care for hers but I think it was a poor combo choice. The place is dairy free and vegan so there is a slight different taste at times. Despite really rough grand opening as I waited in line for over 3 hours, it's a great establishment. Although, that's honestly too long, even for a grand opening and especially in Arizona heat. Besides that, the cinnamon roll I got, cookie monster (has cookie dough and chocolate chips on top of the frosting), was super tasty!! Really rich flavor that's not overdone. I appreciate that there's finally an all vegan dessert place in Gilbert. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed my experience in the store. My mother-in-law told me about Cinnaholic and I immediately started following them on Instagram and drooling over all of their sweet treats. I was waiting for a special occasion to go. It was her birthday and I decided to treat her for her very first Cinnaholic treat. Upon arrival, there is plenty of parking in the plaza lot. I happened to go on a day that nobody was in there. I was greeted right away by a very kind young girl. I told her I had never been there before and that I was looking for a birthday cinnamon bun with cookie dough and raspberries, the works. She said that I could build my own and add berries to an item called the Mad Hatter. I told her, "perfect!" Within a few short minutes my bun was ready. I was pleasantly surprised that she served it hot. Prices were extremely reasonable, and she even wrote a nice, personalized "happy birthday" message on the box. I was on my way. My mother-in-law was so excited. She ate half that night and half the next day. She did report back saying that you should probably get to it within the day because she put hers in the refrigerator because of the cookie dough and it really was dry the next day.
