Probably my favorite spot during my visit. Plenty of space inside as well as patio seating on the second floor when its nicer outside. I opted for cocktails and we got the Seabear attack and peligro peligro. The Seabear attack was a play on a bourbon sour except it had rum and orange liquor as well making it a fun and tasty combination. For entrees we ordered the duck banh mi and thai pork belly. My favorite between the two was the pork belly, it had amazing mix of spicy and savory flavors. There's alot of different choices for food here and the other dishes our friends ordered looked pretty good as well. Will have to stop in when I'm in town again! read more

Saturday evening before a concert, four of us stopped in for to grab something the eat. Beer and cocktail selection was great! I got a fried chicken sandwich, came with house made chips. The chicken was overcooked, dry and bland. The chips were so over salted that they were inedible. We ordered the large basket of fries, they were too salty, over spiced and cold. Ordered the Parma sausage sandwich, got an Italian sandwich. Nothing was good. read more

Amazing Strip District Fresh Find! Parked at the strip district parking garage on Smallman for $5.00 and popped out a side door of the garage - ended up right next to the entrance to Cinderlands. Show your ID and receive an over 21 wrist band upon entry. We were seated and prompted to scan the QR code in the picture on the table for the menu; which is used to start your order, add to your order, ask for help or pay for your order on your phone to close your check. We ordered from the brunch menu and had: - Coffee - Pineapple mimosa - Banana Foster - Beer - 3 giant pancakes with a side of fried potatoes seasoned with a great sauce - the Diner Breakfast which came with 3 sausage patties, eggs, toast and the same fried potatoes that were simply divine - Wagyu Cheeseburger Burger topped with and egg which came with amazing and tasty homemade chips on the side Food was delicious. All workers were extremely friendly and inviting here and service was extremely fast when you ordered or requested help. This is our second time to this location in recent. I typically will not follow up with another post but need to express myself about this amazing establishment. My brother in law was in from out of town. We stopped here for dinner. The menu is about the same as the last time. But what I love about the service is that they use an app. No waiters, but only for delivery and picking up plates. We sit down scan our the website code and begin to order. We order our drinks appetizer and entree. I swear 60 seconds later our appetizer was delivered. We are like what, I stated that's the fastest service ever and the waiter said we try to speed it up. Drinks are delivered 25 seconds later. Then probably less than 5 mins our food was delivered. This is hands down the quickest service ever in the Pittsburgh area. Now imagine the first time we came not many people were here. Today or Saturday omg so many people were here. We didn't even think we would sit as soon as we did. Let me tell you the hazy IPAs were amazing. It's been a while since I've tasted a hazy this good. I had two different and they were both different but amazing. Visited with family while they were in town for the holiday weekend. It wasn't our first time - but it's been a few months since the last time we were here. It was busy - but fortunately we were able to secure seats at the bar. Service was quick and super friendly. I'm not a beer drinker so I greatly appreciate their cocktail offerings. Though I'm not a fan of beer - I do love visiting breweries - and this one is great for a day or night out with friends. Today I opted for the Pink Moon cocktail - which was delicious *chefs kiss*. If you like lavender and tequila than this is the drink for you! Though I don't love beer I did also try the apricot sour. It was actually really refreshing! The food was absolutely delicious. We had the Crunch Wrap and French Onion Dip. Both were fabulous and I would highly recommend. Cinderlands oh wow this place was good - Me lady's parents were in town exploring the historic strip district and we came across cinderlands, and boy what a treat. when I tell you this wagu burger does not disappoint - THIS WAGU BURGER DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. Now what does disappoint is me-lady's fried chicken sandwiche, it was dry and left a lot to be desired. Poutine was good but not writing home to my mother about it. Finally visited Cinderlands! It was huge! I was disappointed at first because we couldn't get a table outdoors. We sat inside on the second floor and my disappointment soon went away because it was so spacious, clean and had these huge fans blowing air. We went on a Tuesday and they only sell Tacos on Tuesdays. I ordered a chorizo taco and a shrimp taco. My favorite of the two was definitely the chorizo. I ordered 2 different beers: Check the Gate and Full Squish. Both were good hazy IPAs, however Check the Gate was really good. Would definitely order more of those! Overall a good experience. Can't wait to go back to try more beers and their full menu. read more

The food was as amazing as the beer with a great selection of healthier options plus some typical pub-style options. Go! Go! Go! First off BRUNCH is where it's at here. Although I'm sure all their food is just as amazing. You order through your phone, pay through your phone. Service is FAST and they are super friendly and helpful, their merchandise is cute and affordable. They offer many of their beers for purchase and even have experimental ones to try. But let's get back to the food! The cheddar biscuits and breakfast potatoes are AMAZING! I had the Monte Crisco and it was perfect amount of sweet and savory, I took it home as I couldn't finish and it was just as good the second day. Their veggie omelette looked stunning. The duck hollandaise sauce finger licking good. If you haven't been and are teetering GO! We stopped here last Saturday and no one was outside at the tables. We saw a sign that stated get wrist bands and see the waitress/ staff if you sit outside. Well, there were not that many staff around to talk to. I went to the end of the bar which says order here and no service, bartender was busy and the other people behind the bar choose to ignore me. I got in queue to the taps and then was told if I am outside go to the sign that says order here. I was just there! So I waited and the bartender said what table are you at outside. I said we are the only ones outside, no comprehension on his part. So I said table three. He got our beers and it was really a disappointment. Closed my tab and left. I love this location! You can park directly next door in the garage and get your parking validated. I love how big this space is and that there's outdoor seating. This location has 2 floors to choose from. We opted for upstairs at the giant bar. I got the bahn mi sandwich. There was a little too much mint for my liking. The meat was so tender and flavorful. The fries are always off the chain. My husband got the crunch wrap and devoured it in 4 bites I think! The beer selection here is always solid and there's something for everyone. If you ever have a question, the bartenders are very knowledgeable about what they brew, what pairs well with the food you order, and what to suggest if you're unsure of what you want. read more

This place is awesome in the strip district area of Pittsburgh. We came here on a Saturday and I grabbed some pierogies from the Polish deli nearby, and happen to see this brewery. The day was really nice and warm, so my husband and I decided to get a beer and take it outside to drink while I ate the pierogies. The beer was called the Danville Train and super delicious. We went upstairs to check the warehouse out and they had a superb menu and great rooftop terrace. Lively with lots of people enjoying their Saturday. We ended up buying some really cool t shirts and ordered another Danville Train. If in the Strip District of Pittsburgh, this is a definite must go. read more

There are lots of seating options, bar or kitchen. Or you can sit upstairs or outside seating on the roof, or a small lounge on the second floor. My friends and I came here one night after work. We got a table right away. We were a little disappointed that there wasn't an available table outside, but sitting inside was okay too! I've been out to eat since the pandemic and was familiar with QR code menus. Cinderlands takes it another step ahead with ordering your food on your phone and having staff bring your food out as it's finished. I thought it was really interesting and fairly simple to use. I ordered the Squish beer, their pale ale, and enjoyed it. We also ordered the Buffalo chicken dip and pretzel for appetizers. I really loved the seasoning on the chips! Stopped in here recently and loved the spot. The space is huge, with multiple bars upstairs and downstairs. Great spot for a large group. The service was also great. Our bartender helped us choose the beers we'd like best and also convinced me to try the food. For drinks I had a couple of the different ipa options. The Doug was my favorite. I didn't plan on eating here during my visit because I was going to dinner after, however the menu had a lot of unique options that seemed to good to pass up. I went with the Goat Rodeo Cheese Curds. I LOVED this Cinderlands location! I was a bit skeptical when my friends suggested grabbing drinks here because I did not enjoy the Cinderlands location in Lawerenceville. This location changed my opinion greatly! There are many seating options: outside on the street, tables indoors, and a patio off the second floor. There was a private event on the patio, so we sat at a table on the second floor. Although we were in the back corner, we enjoyed our table. We had a neat view of the beer stills! Ordering was extremely convenient. A waiter brought us a carafe of water and cups, but we were able to do everything else through our phones. We were able to order drinks and food using the QR code, and we were even able to pay on our phones. It decreased wait time, and allowed our group to partake in uninterrupted conversation. Service during covid is amazing and I hope they never stop their system of ordering. It's so convenient to put in orders on my phone at my own pace. And the food is very good I've never been disappointed yet. Definitely recommend coming here with friends since it's so easy to pay. Even though some of the food is a little more on the "fancy combinations side" you are able to pick and choose what you want on the food much easier on everyone. We stopped in to watch a soccer game on a rainy Sunday afternoon and sat upstairs. This was our first time visiting. We did not realize you had to order your food and drink on your phone-- we were pretty upset with the service until we realized we were the problem! Once we figured out how to order, food and drinks came out very quickly. We ordered the buffalo chicken dip which was a little pricey but really good. The chicken in the dip was smoked, which I don't think I have tried before. All the beers at Cinderlands are incredible. My favorite beers are from the "Squish" family. Came here for the first time a few Fridays ago and was pleased to see they had plenty of seating. Their beer is reasonably priced and you can get a pint, half pour or taster which allowed us to try many of their beers. Huge should out to their chips and salsa, I know this sounds ridiculous considering they have a full menu but I believe their tortilla chips are house made and dressed in their homemade ranch seasoning. I could eat an entire wagon of these chips! The only down side to my experience was that there were a ton of little kids running around and screaming. I'm all for inclusivity and glad some breweries allow kids but the staff did absolutely nothing to try and quell the family who had multiple kids play screaming at the top of their lungs for 45 mins and playing chase around the bar area. I saw the kids almost run into the staff multiple times. I get this is a tricky area but it unfortunately made my decision to go elsewhere for my next drink very easy. read more

Great drinks. Tasty food. Wonderful environment. I recently visited Cinderlands for a celebratory company get-together. It was a great spot for a party - lots of space and lively, but not too loud. I started out with the traditional Manhattan - which was so so so smooth. Perfectly crafted. So wonderfully drinkable. I revisited this decision with another. I also enjoyed an Old Fashioned or two - which were, again, quite tasty. My coworkers raved about the beer selections to - I'll have to partake next time! Our company ordered quite a spread of appetizers - from dips, to charcuterie to veggies. The standouts for me were the scotch eggs and the onion rings. I know what you're thinking "how good can onion rings be?" - but man these were great! Just the right proportion of onion to batter - perfectly fried and crispy. Absolutely fantastic! read more
