Overall, this place is very good. I have been here multiple times. The burgers are great and the fries are delicious. Burgers ooze with every bite. Fries are the kind that have some sort of breading and are nice and crispy. Today I got the BLT and I would definitely get it again! The side salad was kind of mediocre (I was trying to make a healthier choice and avoid the fries). Got a beer (not pictured). Usually the service is very good, but I'm going to be honest, it was pretty sad today. My girlfriend and I agreed it seemed like the bartender both hated his job, and was not good at it. Nice space with lots of creative flare in their decor and an overall good atmosphere. The beer list and draft system is fantastic. The food is good, as long as you go in with the right expectations. This isn't fine dining, but it's a nice take on vegetarian-accessible pub food, slightly elevated. The vegan tofu wrap was nicely done with crispy fried tofu, but it was heavily dependent on the availability of various sauces for flavor. The "disc brake bean cakes" were somewhat unique, but still good when fully assembled with all the relevant toppings. They would probably be better described as black bean crepes with Tex-Mex toppings. I highly recommend ordering several different sauces to go with your meal (buffalo, barbecue, diablo, etc.). We ordered takeout this time, and the overall ordering experience was good. There is an online ordering page, but the items on that page aren't completely aligned with menus on the web site. We ended up calling to place an order, which was still very easy. All the food was well packaged and ready to go exactly when they said it would be. We first stopped into OTB in 2011 and fell in love with their burgers and awesome beer offerings. Fast forward 13 yrs and they still offer and awesome burger, great beer and coctails. Located in the southside of Pittsburgh on Carson Street. They have "bike parking" out front. Fun intetior with bikes and cycling related decor, its fun and inviting. This used to be the best burger and fries I've ever had. It was my favorite restaurant for years. For months straight I went every week for the burger of the week. The fries were better and have a great dry ranch seasoning on them. I've sent so many people here who all fell in love with it I moved back to Jersey for a little then came back and a couple of my friends told me I need to go because they thought it tasted different I went last year and it was the last time I went and possible ever again. A couple of us always grab some fast delicious grub before heading over to Pins Mechanical for some duckpin bowling. I usually get the hard tail burger or a super scrumptious wrap but tried the Babes on Bikes burger with fries. It was super tasty and the egg was cooked perfectly over easy with big slices of avocado. Their fries are batter dipped, I think, so they come out very crisp and full of flavor. I was hanging out on the south side through dinner time and a burger sounded good. Yelp recommended OTB and I took a little walk down Carson St. to find it. And, it did not disappoint. The burger was great along with the side of fries, and I am a cider drinker, and enjoyed my choice on draft (Hamburg blueberry peach). I decided to try out the dirty rag delight burger, as it sounded like something a little more unique. It was delicious! Stopped in for lunch at this cute pub. My daughter and I split a house salad and a burger. The Wheel Rim burger was excellent. It had nice char. The jalapeño cream cheese was yum. I loved the little bit of heat on the burger. The fries were crispy goodness. I started with a local Dancing Gnome hazy IPA, which was yummy. The bike-themed atmosphere is great with bikes hanging from the ceiling, and light fixtures made form sprockets. Service was friendly and fast. Due to COVID-9, got takeout from this spot during a recent area hotel stay. So glad we gave them a try as the burgers were prepared just as we wanted them and the sides were spot on! We ordered two different burgers (to split them) along with sides of fries and onion rings. The Wheel Mill burger was a nice, mildly spicy take on a burger which comes doused in a buffalo style sauce and then topped with jalapeno cream cheese, crispy strips of bacon and pico de gallo. It had a little kick coupled with the creaminess of the warmed cream cheese. The BMX burger was their take on a Big Mac but also topped with bacon...how can that be bad?!?!? The fries appeared to be double-fried and perfectly seasoned. I could have eaten a million of them! The black and tan beer battered onion rings were hearty and had a super crunch, but would have been even better with a spicy dipping sauce like many other places carry. Overall, this place is a winner and we'll definitely return, especially when we feel safe to sit down inside restaurants. read more

We've been to the Hastings and North Park. This was our first visit at this location. We were told to sit anywhere. Our waitress was nice. Came over promptly and provided menus. I had a Hazy IPA from Grist House and Hop farm. They were both great. We ordered our usuals but a little different. The food was good as always at the other locations. Service was fast and amazing. The place has a back part that I didn't k ow when searching for a restroom. Mens room is decorated in Pabst Blue Ribbon wallpaper. Nothing says staycation like going for a bike ride on a weekday and topping it off with lunch at a local favorite. OTB on the Southside is just a couple blocks off the bike trail, making it a great place to rest and fuel up during or after a ride. They always have a solid selection of PA-brewed beers and daily specials that feature local breweries. The food is a step above bar food, with an emphasis on fried goodies and burgers. They have an abundance of vegan and omnivore options. The house salad topped with seitan bites made for a filling and delicious lunch. My partner's tofu wrap was ok--I would have liked the tofu to have more flavor, but we made up for the bland preparation by adding some hot sauce. The fries were super yummy with and without ketchup. Finally got to try a burger here after years of hearing great things. It definitely did not disappoint. For my meal I went with the Wheelmill burger which sounded different than any burger I have ever had. After the burger is done cooking they dip the whole thing in buffalo sauce. The burger is then topped with jalapeño cream cheese, bacon, and pico de gallo. The flavors of the burger were incredible. The buffalo sauce and jalapeño cream cheese were an amazing combination, and the pico was a great touch to cool things down. The meat definitely fresh and ground daily. I ate this burger so fast because of how good it tasted. My only complaint was the burger was cooked more to a medium well or medium, rather than medium rare. However, this was not a huge issue because of the great flavors of the toppings and the fresh beef. read more

I would DEFINITELY recommend OTB to anyone in the Southside area, or otherwise! I go once or twice whenever I visit my sister in Pittsburgh. Their food is super fresh; you can tell that nothing comes out of a freezer. Also, the flavors are so good. I'm definitely not an "American food" restaurant type person (as you can probably see from my reviews lol) but I would go out of my way to get a burger or wrap from this place. This time, I got the Rail Trail wrap to-go and it was very good! The buffalo sauce adds a nice kick...I think I would have enjoyed it a bit more if the chicken would've been fried and not grilled. (But maybe they offer that as an option! I didn't ask.) I subbed the fries for onion rings...soooo good. Do yourself a favor and always get the onion rings as your side. Also, the spinach dip (which I failed to snag a photo of because I was too busy eating) is a MUST. I went here again recently with my cousin I ordered the setian wings which I liked next time I would probably choose a different sauce than the one I did. The sauce I chose was a maple sauce I believe it was a little too sweet for my liking but other than that they were good. Big fan of this dive bar! Perfect place if you need quick food and a drink, and can sit at the bar. Also great to go with a group after a long bike ride on the trails! All the wraps are 10/10. Pump track wrap and rail trail are my favorite. I've had the best burgers ever here but they are not consistent. I think it depends on who is cooking because sometimes the are cooked to perfection, and other times they are dry and over done. But the toppings are always unique and good. Service is what you would expect from a dive bar, always friendly and attentive but let you be with your food and beer. Cool place. read more

Unfortunately, as regular paddle boarders, we will NOT be back. Quite a few years myself and young daughter have visited while on our personal SUP boards. We live 15 minutes away. Today, we checked in for seating, girls beside me, 11yo daughter and her friend, waited for the text to be seated and checked back in. We were asked if the girls had shirts? They both DID NOT have bathing suits on but athletic shorts and sports bras. The hostess said she would ask the manager if it's ok, while she was away I noticed a grown woman seated and eating in a - SHOCKER - Sports bra! We were declined to be seated and as I pointed out the woman the hostess said her sports bra is longer I pointed out her back sides and midriff were still exposed. What is the difference? Love love love OTB. Great bar with an awesome selection of craft beers, upscale "bar food", awesome Trivia on Monday nights, and the nicest staff. We frequent here several times a month and always have a great time. They have a lot of vegetarian options and a few vegan options. Seitan bites, fries, soft pretzels, and Healthy Ride wrap are my go-to and consistently delicious. Monday nights get busy with their host Radical Trivia starting around 9-9:30ish. Such a fun and interactive trivia, one of the best I've ever been to. Lots of TVs amongst their whimsical bike theme décor. Great neighborhood bar and restaurant! Got a great Bicycle Times BLT here! Comes with avocado and egg. There were a lot of different options and they have vegetarian dishes as well. For the BLT, you can have fries, the house salad, or a corn bean salad. I believe there is an upcharge for the salad, which is $1. You can also get onion rings for an upcharge. When you walk in, it is kind of confusing because the bar is in front and the restaurant area is in the back but there is no sign telling you to choose your own seat to make sure you guys don't awkwardly stand there...which is what we did while we tried to figure it out. Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday with my friend and 2 dogs, because I had heard that the food was good and that they offered dog-friendly sidewalk seating. Both turned out to be true! I am a bit of a beer snob and was very impressed with their draft list. It included a handful of local breweries, which I was pleased to see. The healthier options food menu happened to be $2 off during this time so I decided to make the better-for-me choice and order from there. My friend did as well and we were both pleasantly surprised with how good our meals were. As two people who happen to be trying to make healthier eating choices, it was SO nice to be able to eat at a restaurant and not feel guilty about what we were eating or have to struggle with calculating calories or figuring out how things were made. Plus, it was delicious. She ordered the chicken tacos and I had a Moroccan chicken wrap. Satisfying and delicious! We sat outside because we had the dogs (who were very much welcomed!), but the inside decor was cool and unique. I saw families and couples dining inside, so it is both a bar and restaurant. This place was awesome! A couple of my friends and I came here midway through our bike ride around the city. They have bike racks outside and seating, but it was super humid, so we opted for some AC. The decor is fun and bicycle themed. All 3 of us had burgers, 2 of us had the Wheel Mill (get it, it's so good!!!) and the other had the BMX. My husband was only disappointed in the BMX because he thought it had mac n cheese on it because it said "Bacon Mac eXperiment", but he didn't read the rest of the description. It's their play on a "Big Mac". Either way, once he got over that, he loved it too. The fries were delicious too. The service was also excellent. Our waitress was super attentive and also offered to refill all of our camelbacks with ice water. My only complaint is that I ate too much and felt extremely uncomfortable on my bike ride home. Haha. I think I've been here more than any other spot in Pgh and I'm surprised I haven't reviewed it. I loveeee this place! The service is great and everyone who works here is really nice and friendly. I usually get The Cog Salad with ranch which is just a cute name for a Cobb salad. Cobb salads are my favorite type of salad and I haven't found a place that does them better than OTB. I've also had the Punk Bike Pickles (fried pickles), also delicious. I've had a few of the burgers too and I've never been disappointed. The seitan wings are definitely worth a try, especially on their wing night. They have a "healthy eating menu" with paleo, keto, etc. options, as well. I tried the portobello mushroom sandwich when I was keto and it was surprisingly good! Lastly, I don't know much about beer/cider but I always manage to find one I like here. I came to OTB today because I saw in a review that they have a paleo menu, which is so wonderful. I'm doing Whole30 for the month, and realized how few restaurants in Pittsburgh have compliant meals. So, thank you guys for working to include this alternate menu. Unfortunately the server recommended the lettuce wraps, but I would not order these again. You couldn't pick the wraps up, so it was just like a small salad. It also lacked flavor and I had to add my side salad dressing to it.
