I stopped by for a quick lunch during the week and wanted an easy to-go sandwich. They have a medium sized menu but a lot of different options which makes it a bit hard to pick haha! I decided on a reuben sandwich with all of the fixens inside. I was surprised that I was the only one in there because of the amount of rave reviews. It was a small quaint little place. The employees were suppperrrr nice and gave me a lot of time to think about my order. The vibes in there were very cool with fun music and just overall a good time. Now onto the Reuben. Holy cow! It was juicy and very flavorful, with the perfect amount of sauerkraut. The bread was toasty and the sandwich was nice and warm but not too hot. I think this will be a new spot for me for lunch!

Essentially for me I had waited too long to eat and the idea of waiting longer was a non starter for me. Sandwiches are not my go to food outside the house, it seems silly on some level. However, the sandwich I had was fantastic and well balanced. There was a good amount of everything without it being too much. Sometimes it's too much. This was great. They also had good, homemade or freshly made sides like potato salad and other salads you could get. It was great.

People are always surprised when they hear that we often drive the almost hour trip from Dayton to…read moreCincinnati for dinner but it's worth it for the treasure trove of independent establishments like The Wheel Oakley! I had heard that their pop-up dinners sell out very quickly so I was ready the day they were posted and grabbed a few spots for one of their February dates. We arrived and were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and then we found a seat at the long community table set for 20; it was so much fun getting to know the people seated next to us! Dinner was delicious! Four courses-the gnocchi with sausage was our favorite dish of the night.

If you follow them on socials, you can score a seat at the pop-ups. The place is an old house with a lot of character. The food for carryout is fantastic and their bread is fantastic. We live in West Chester and have driven down to there a few times just to pick up delicious dinners. We just attended our first dinner there last Tuesday. Oh My Goodness! What a treat. Jordan greeted us with a glass of Prosecco and directed us where to sit a long table that seats 20. We introduced ourselves to our seatmates and then our first dish arrived. Chef does explain the food before we had each dish, however we wished there was more background and history as to how this place came into being. So expect fantastic food without a lot of details. The first dish was a salad made with all local ingredients. It was so fresh and the dressing made with fresh dill was fantastic. The second dish was a ravioli with northern Italian cheese on a bed of butternut squash puree and brown butter. The pasta was SO delicate and the flavors complimented each other so well. The third dish was a 6 hour braised pork shoulder with ricotta gnocchi in a sauce with Calabrian chilis and I don't know what else. We have been to Italy and all the Italian restaurants in Cincinnati and never had anything like this. It was truly phenomenal. Dessert was a apple upside down cake served warm with whipped cream...fantastic. You bring your own wine, and Jordan is on it by never letting your glass get empty, pouring water, and clearing dishes. Service was so great and she is so friendly and accommodating. The cost was a very reasonable $100/pp and SO worth it. There is no menu, so you go in just devouring what Chef has prepared.

Our experience was good, but seemed a little more low-frills than in past visits. We were served water once and then not again- sat without refills for most of the meal. We ordered quickly and the food came out fast! Our server came back to ask "had anyone taken payment yet?" And did so with a card reader right at the table, which felt a little clunkier but no big deal. The wonderful part of the food is the local sourcing. Everything is really high quality! The taste was just okay, I was a little underwhelmed but I enjoyed the lunch enough! I ordered the avocado toast. The bread was thin and a little soggy from what I think was the ember sauce, although I am not sure what that is as I didn't get a lot of flavor through! The egg and avocado were perfect with a yummy hemp heart topping. The salad took up most of the plate but was plain greens with a little dressing and celery pieces. A little bitter for most of the bites! I guess my expectations were a little higher for one of cincy's premier brunch places and I just found the meal "okay". Lastly, parking can be a challenge here! It's only paid street parking on the surrounding streets, but it's such a nice pretty area that parking and walking is often a lovely part of the experience.
