    Steak burrito
    Alex N.

Chuy's is always a consistent place for me to get my Tex-Mex fix. Good quality for a casual chain restaurant, and service is usually good as well. The value you're getting is good compared many of the other fancier Mexican restaurants. My go-to is usually the steak burrito. Filled to the brim with steak and comes with the usual rice and beans. I also do like their many sauce options, which were free every time I asked to try a new one on the side. I can't say it's the best Tex-Mex I've had, but it's good and fairly priced enough to keep me coming back.

I felt the cool air as soon as I walked in. I was nicely greeted by the hostess and asked booth or table. We were fortunate to be able to choose which booth we wanted as well. Our waiter, Julian, came to take our order and I ordered the happy hour grande Rita with strawberry swirl. We also ordered the happy hour boom-boom pow with boom-boom on the side. It was so good, I did expect it to have queso but it did not, and I still enjoyed it. We ordered compuesto as well, and it was so yummy! We ordered fajitas for two and fajitas and chicken was steaming what seemed like the entire time we enjoyed our meal. We ended up ordering a strawberry and raspberry margarita, grande and regular strawberry margarita. The restaurant was so cool and felt great minus the heat outside and we would definitely visit again.

Decent option for Tex Mex in the Webster area with very reasonable prices and good portions compared to pricier alternatives like Lupe or pappasitos.

I don't know what happened to Chuy's, but it has definitely changed since I came here last. I wanted to introduce my family from out of the country to some good ole Tex Mex. My niece specifically wanted to try a taco since they don't have that in the part of the world they are from. We have some great options in the Houston area, but our plans later in the evening was in the Webster area. Chuy's was the choice we landed on and I didn't even think twice about doing any extra research since I've loved it in the past. We came on a Sunday at lunch and the place was nearly empty. That should've been my sign to go somewhere else. Customer service was good though and for that I added a star. The menu seemed to have gotten a lot smaller. They have a variety of categories with a few selections to choose from within that category. One thing they always asked in the past if it was our first time and they would bring a sample flight of all their sauces so you could make the right choice in an entree. Not this time. Chips came out first. It came with a green sauce that was decent, but the "salsa" was just a bowl of diced tomatoes. It wasn't even pico. Another sign I should've got up and left. We ordered a variety of items for entrees . I made sure my cousin and her kids got something they couldn't get in India like Chicka Chicka Boom Boom enchiladas. The kiddos got kids meals. I ordered the Elvis Presley Memorial Combo which I'm not sure why it's even called that. It came with three different enchilada in different sauces, one hard taco and one cheesy tostada. The food was an epic fail all around other than the cheeseburger kids meal my nephew tore up. First off, the plates were messy. Everything was lacking flavor. The tortillas in all the enchiladas seemed stale and hard. There was hardly any meat in the items that was supposed to have meat. This was the first time since being in the country that they said nope and didn't even come close to finishing their meals. It used to be so good here so I was not only disappointed, but slightly embarrassed as well. I'm going to go ahead and write off Chuy's and can confidently say I will not be back. The only positive that came out of this was the family now has a funny inside joke when we try and figure out the next spot to try while they are here.

today my highlight is Chuy's webster! they have a whole gluten free menu! and baked gr chips upon request! i had the veggie enchiladas, they were delicious. best corn tortillas i've had anywhere!!!!! note: i think the gf menu is a bit outdated as i couldn't find some items on the regular menu. fast and friendly service at the bar! i really enjoy that the servers will let you sample their seasonal frozen drinks before ordering a normal size one. i especially enjoy their mojitos, and my partner loves the texas tini's.

Chuy's is consistent with their food no matter what location you go to. This day we sat at the bar at the Webster location. The bartender was super friendly and attentive. Very laid back. I ordered a Ruby Red frozen margarita which was delicious, and my dining companion had a Paloma. I also had a mango swirl margarita which was delicious. We both got burritos, and I have to say steak fajita with ultimate tomatillo sauce and beans on the side is THE way to go! We also got one with ground beef and red sauce which was also so good. The burritos are huge so I hope you are hungry! The queso was a little runny and bland this day but that didn't stop us from eating the entire thing, so it wasn't that bad :p And I could eat buckets of the green sauce. This day I only ate two bowls. Yay for self control. Highly recommend for margaritas and gooey Tex Mex treats.

    Not my style of salsa

Eh... could have certainly been worse, but wasn't the enjoyable Chuy's experience I remember from other locations. I clearly didn't look at pics of food on Yelp, because Chuy's posted one of the verde enchiladas I ordered and it clearly shows the creamy verde sauce. Welllll I don't recall it saying that on the menu (if it did, my bad, but usually I read item descriptions), and I ordered it expecting the usual verde sauce that I love. Swing and a miss. I do NOT care for creamy verde sauce. Sad face. Salsa was not either of our style, so that's another swing and a miss. My wife liked her meal, so there's that. (I don't remember what it was.) And service was fast and friendly. Service matters big time these days so that counts for a lot with me, but the disappointing food experience left me with 3 stars overall.

Roasted Chicken Burrito w/Ranchero** (Mild) sauce

Haven't been to Chuy's in a long time, glad that we decided to go! I had the Chicka chicka Boom boom, its spicy and I don't remember it being as spicy, but I also think that my taste buds for spiciness has changed. Nonetheless, it was delicious, hot and fresh! My Fiancé had the roasted chicken burrito with the ranchero sauce. Burrito was a nice size, loaded with lots of chicken and hot, like fire, not pepper! We sat in the bar area, server was very nice, efficient and quick. Definitely recommend and they are a BAFFL participant!

Steak Burrito ! Homemade flour tortilla! Beans were really good too!

I…read moreordered the Chicken Enchiladas with gravy, just some yellow cheese on them with rice n refried beans. It was juicy, savory and very delicious. The sauce was mild, aromatic, salted enough and not too dense. The enchiladas were full cooked and tender. The cheese amount was enough to get some richness without being too cheesy or greasy. The chicken was plentiful and soft in feel adding nice bite and some protein vibes. The rice was subtle, fluffy and comforting. The refried beans were thankfully chunky with a touch of pudding feel, not too smooth. They also had a very unique spice in them too, which was good. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. I also plan to try their chipotle and spinach chicken enchiladas on future visits when in the area. I also liked how the food is not too Tex Mex like some restaurants that are overly Americanized.

I had the basic Enchiladas Cheese, which were fantastic. The rice and beans were perfectly cooked and flavorful, which many comparable restaurants seem to struggle with. Chips and salsa were pretty standard, but still good. The place feels authentically Mexican, which is a nice change-up from all of the Tex-Mex places that are so common. The music and decor is all on point! Service was above and beyond as well. Even for a Sunday at lunch time, the waiters were constantly checking on us to make sure our drinks were topped off and to make sure we didn't need anything. I'll definitely be returning next time I'm in that part of town to try another of their enchiladas!

9/10 would definitely go back !…read more I ordered the chicken and steak fajitas, and both were really good. Personally, I enjoyed the chicken more. It had amazing flavor and was perfectly cooked. The steak was good too, but it had more of a barbecue taste, which just isn't my personal preference I also heard the table next to me. Tell the waiter that they preferred the chicken over the filet mignon, which just goes to show that their chicken is superior. Next time, I'd probably stick with just the chicken fajitas. Let's talk about the sauces because they deserve their own moment. The green sauce that came with the chips was AMAZING. So fresh and flavorful. The red sauce was also really good -- both paired perfectly with the chips. For rice, I tried both the cilantro rice and the Mexican rice. They were both solid, but I liked the Mexican rice just a little more. One thing to keep in mind: toppings for fajitas are an extra charge. I got the garlic, onion, and Serrano topping with cheese -- and they do not play when they say it's spicy! It was delicious but very spicy. Also, it's a $5.99 upcharge, which is easy to miss. And heads up: they mix the Serranos into the cheese, so you can't really remove them once it's served. If you're sensitive to heat, I'd recommend asking for the Serrano peppers on the side. The service was extraordinary -- super attentive and welcoming. The place was packed, but there was still plenty of parking, which was a plus. I didn't order drinks this time, but they looked really good. I'll definitely be back, especially for Margarita Monday -- $5 margaritas all day sounds like a deal I can't pass up. Overall, amazing food, great service, and a fun vibe. I'll absolutely be coming back!

We had a reservation and were seated right away. Moses greeted us, gave solid recommendations including advising my cousin on the best way to top her fish taco, and overall provided us great service. The red salsa here is served hot. I prefer cold salsa but it was good. The avocado green salsa was cold and delish. Chips were fresh and crispy. I had the 2 crispy brisket tacos plate. The brisket was so tender and had just the right amount of sweet bbq sauce. The tacos also have cheese and there's lettuce on the side you can also add to the tacos. They give u the choice of 1,2, or 3 tacos and the tacos are huge. I would've been fine with one but they were so delicious that I have no regrets about ordering 2. The refried black beans were tasty. They give you the choice between those, charro beans and your standard refried beans. They also give you the choice between their house rice which is your typical Mexican rice or a cilantro greenish rice that I believe has a few bits of pork or ham in it. I chose the cilantro rice and it was perfectly cooked, seasoned and delicious. My cousin had 1 grilled fish taco plate and the same bean and rice sides I had and she also loved her food. The ambience, food, and great service make this the perfect dinner spot before a movie and a great start to the weekend!
