This place is huge. I didn't realize the resturuant was so big. It's like a maze going through. Love the decoration and just be warned this place can get pretty crowded and busy. Service overall was good, they did forget our charro beans and we did ask for it twice, but not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Otherwise service was good and they got better about refilling our waters after asking once. The food here is delicious. The queso is cheese was so good please make sure to add the brisket. Also enjoyed their deluxe fajita platter. It was so much food. Would definitely come back to try other dishes.

For years, El Tiempo has been on my radar. I'd drive past the building all the time, remembering when it was first under construction and the long wait until it finally opened its doors. Tonight, however, I finally set foot inside for the very first time. From an architecture standpoint, the eatery is beautiful. It felt as if I were entering a building somewhere along coastal Mexico. I initially expected a crowded atmosphere, but not too many people were there, making finding a seat quite easy. For my first order, I chose the Texas red chili burrito. If I'm being honest, the dish was a bit hit-or-miss. While I dug the presentation and was amazed at how massive the burrito was, the flavor was lacking. The burrito's internal contents were sadly dry, which made the huge portion a bit disappointing. The service, thankfully, was impressive. The bar staff member who took care of me was attentive, refilling my Arnold Palmer and restocking the chips and salsa without fail. While some people may not like constant check-ins, I appreciated her showing up at my table every few minutes; to me, that is the mark of good service. El Tiempo earns three stars for my inaugural visit. While I wasn't blown away, I feel that the overall experience warrants another try in the future. I'll definitely try something else next time, in hopes of giving the restaurant a better rating.

My friends and I are visiting from out of town and after a long day at the space center and shopping at the Baybrook Mall, we wanted to try some tex mex and found this place on Yelp. The restaurant looks beautiful on the outside and there is plenty of parking. We arrived just in time for happy hour and was told to sit in certain sections for it. I ordered a frozen mango margarita , brisket, quesadilla, and the choriqueso. And oh my God, it was everything amazing. For my first time trying tex mex this place definitely set the bar high. I do wish the choriqueso was melted a bit more, it was hard for me to scoop it but it was still delicious. And as a California I was stocked at how cheap this was and how big the portions were especially for happy hour! The staff were super attentive, constantly checking in and bringing us fresh chips. Will definitely be coming back the next time I'm in Houston.

Great authentic Mexican family atmosphere. The entrees and drinks are reasonably priced, service is family friendly. Wooden carvings adorn the venue with live edge slab tables. The staff is very attentive. They genuinely want your experience to be excepcional! It is the mantra of the company. Expect a visit from the owner during your visit. Plenty of parking in a nice area. Expect the same exceptional service at all locations. I've been to several. I highly recommend.

Nice restaurant. Food was good. We had the fajitas, burrito, tres leches, quesadillas, and enchiladas. The food was very tasty, and service was really good. Room for improvement: the price was a little high for what we got. The fajita portion for 2 seemed more suited for 1. Get the discounted gift cards at Costco for a better deal. The menu was also very cluttered and hard to read. A clearer and simpler menu would be helpful.

We went for dinner on a Thursday evening around 6:30 pm. The place was not crowded and we were seated right away. Our server was prompt in bringing fresh chips and salsa while we perused the menu. We opted for the combo beef and chicken fajitas for our party of four. We also requested a mix of corn and flour tortillas. While the fajitas were very good, as it is something Pappasito's is known for, I believe they are way overpriced for what you get. And, the price does not include shredded cheese nor sour cream, and only a tiny portion of guacamole and pico. Also, we had to wait a while for the corn tortillas, as one person in our party was not able to eat flour tortillas. This delay was quite long. The highlight of the meal was the Tres Leches cake, albeit a rather small portion for the $$$ price tag!

    Welcoming hardworking ladies.

We had a small family event last night, just to celebrate being a family. My little clan can be difficult and demanding. But the wait staff was up to the challenge. Led my a server named Moses, they swamped our table with fajitas and drinks with a smile. We would like to say thank you to all the servers for making it a great experience. The food is always amazing at El Tiempo, and the mixologists working the bar will never disappoint. If you haven't been there, you are missing out. Pay them a visit, and give them a chance to make your night.

It has been a while since I have dined at an El Tiempo. This location is located on the northbound side of 45 South right before Bay Area Blvd. Parking is plentiful. It turned out we visited on a Monday night before Christmas. It was quite busy at 6:30 pm and there was a wait to be seated. We waited around 25 mins. We were seated at a table and the bar was adjacent to us. Started of with the $5 House Margarita and it was pretty good. Also ordered the fajita guisada queso to go along with those complimentary chips and salsa. The red and green salsa hit pretty well and the queso was decent will explain further down. Now it wasn't a hard choice ordering my go to at any Tex-Mex which were the medium mixed fajitas with your choice of refried beans or Frijoles ala Charra and the Mexican rice which to my surprise was the eloquent green rice which I have not seen anywhere in ages, hats off to El Tiempo for firing these up. Did I mention 6 flour tortillas were included for my meal. I must say the beef fajitas were nice and tender as well as juicy with flavor. The chicken fajitas were juicy and tender also. The presentation reminded me of a Mayan temple with food stacked at the top of the pyramid blazing hot lol. I believe the food here is done well however their prices do not fit the food. The portion on the fajita guisada as far as the meat is concerned was pathetic considering I was charged $19.99 for about 3 pieces of meat in the queso literally. Overall I would come here again if somebody else is paying lol.

Another great breakfast. I had Huevos ranchero and my daughter had barbacoa tacos. The tacos are stuffed with barbacoa. Really tender and great flavor

Went for my husband's birthday, Francisco was our server, he was so friendly and very helpful with our questions! On Wednesdays they have a fajita special! 1lb of beef and chicken served with rice, beans, sour cream, shredded cheese, guacamole, and pico de gallo! Also comes with a small queso and fried chips that are crispy! The meat was cooked to perfection! The homemade flour tortillas were delicious too! The tres leches cake was sooo good! A very large restaurant that can accommodate large parties! Definitely worth it!!

Ok so we LOVE El Tiempo and I don't want to take away from that. We come here often for happy hour and dinner and it's always amazing but I'm still a little salty about this experience almost two months later. I took my friend to eat for her birthday and they brought us the bill (attached) and I handed him a 50. Gift card. He returns to the table and says that the gift card doesn't cover "taxes" which you can see were 2.81 and says I have a balance of 7.92, well I just handed him a debit card without questioning and then saw my receipt when I got home. The math ain't mathin buddy and I don't like feeling like a place I frequent is being shady. So there I got it I put of my system now maybe I can let it go....

We love the other locations, but our recent visit in Webster wasn't quite up to snuff. Service was a bit slow at the wrong times, items ordered weren't delivered, and the food just wasn't the quality we expected given prior experience and the price point. We know they can do better.

We wanted to try a Tex-Mex place as we were were traveling from out of state. I should've read reviews before deciding. The service was good and the ambiance is cute. The food needs some improvements in my opinion. I ordered the chicken quesadilla. The refried beans were watery with not much flavor, rice was decent with peas, the chicken quesadilla was a little dry and bland but decent with the tomato and guac salsa added. My husband had the enchiladas and said they were good. My son asked for an horchata. They don't serve horchata but, they had horchata with tequila. WOW. He ordered nachos (6 chips, a small drop of beans and ground beef) it did not look appetizing. I felt bad for him as I saw the disappointment in his face. He asked for Tapatio hot sauce; the server looked at him and said; "what is that?" We thought he (server) was kidding... but hey, I guess some people don't know what it is. Most Mexican places have Tapatio and horchata. Yes, I know it's a Tex-Mex place, hence "mex" in it. The guac salsa served with the complimentary chips was the highlight of the food. The chips were fresh and not greasy. We left most of our food on the plate because we were that disappointed in the quality. Overall, the place is over priced for the quality of the food.

We had so many restaurant options but chose this place because of the high ratings... and I'm so glad we did. I'll be honest--when we first arrived, I wasn't impressed with the outside or the area. I was a little hesitant going in. But the moment we walked through the doors, everything changed. The place felt welcoming, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere--yes, a little loud--but in a good way. It's that lively Mexican vibe: music, micheladas, carne asada... all of it. We were just tired, so I think I noticed it more. Now let's talk about the food... I ordered the Maestro Plate but swapped the meat for short rib costillas--and OH. MY. GOSH. These were hands down some of the best costillas I've ever had. Juicy, tender, packed with flavor. I cleaned those bones completely--every single bite. The dish was served with perfectly grilled "nopales" and queso panela, que ricura! Ahhh, and of course the charro beans and rice that I barely made a dent in. The portions? HUGE. Two of us shared one plate and still had leftovers--and we can eat! Now this part says everything: my grandson, who is on the spectrum and very picky, ordered pollo asado... and he tore into it. No complaints, no hesitation--he finished his entire plate. That alone speaks volumes. My daughter had the birria (and she's a birria critic), and even she couldn't finish her plate because of how generous the portion was--but she said it was full of flavor and really good. My older grandson (big growing boy with an equally big appetite) had a birria quesadilla--again, huge portion--and even he couldn't finish it, which never happens. To top it all off, the owner surprised us with a complimentary dessert--warm, soft, pillowy sopapillas with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. The kids were FULL... and still devoured every last bite. Not a crumb left. And let's talk about pricing... honey. Compared to Austin? This was a steal. I was honestly shocked at how affordable it was for the quality and portion sizes. Amazing food, generous portions, great service, and a place that turned my hesitation into loyalty. They've earned our business--100%. We will absolutely be back next time we're in town.

Glad it did! First, the wait time - we showed up on a Sunday morning, right after some kind of race in the area. They told us the wait would be about 45 minutes to an hour, and we waited 55 minutes. No big deal - at least their estimate was accurate. But beware if you're on a time crunch on a weekend at brunch time :) Great hash! I had CHRISTINA'S TAMALE CAKES (Benedict), and loved it. It was top two of my meals in this visit to Texas. The carnitas were flavorful, the poached eggs were perfect, the corn bread base on the tamale wrapper was awesome. If I could improve the dish - and that would be hard to do - I would ask for a bit more of that delicious green chile Hollandaise sauce on top, which I would buy by the jug if I could. The smashed potatoes were excellent - very well seasoned and oiled and salty to go with the sweet from my main dish. My companion loved her hash dish and I scooped up some of her sauce to eat the last few bites of my cornbread. Loudness - This place was LOUD. They had a DJ spinning some great music choices - but I couldn't really converse with my wife during breakfast. I am well aware that I sound old and crotchety. I love the clubs - but this was like being in a club during brunch. Hygiene - The hostess at the front desk station was on her phone the entire 55 minutes we were waiting. When I asked her if I could get a Bloody Mary to save me from boredom during the wait - she told me to hang on. Then she sat on her phone and talked and texted for another 5 minutes or so. My wife dropped a pair of tongs on the floor from the Bloody Mary bar. Another lady picked them up, and told the lady behind the station that it had fallen on the floor. She didn't wash it - she just stuck them back in the jar where people are grabbing the food for their Bloody Marys. In hindsight - I don't know if I would have taken advantage of the endless toppings on the bloody Mary bar.
