The joint is clean and the atmosphere is modern. Though they draw quite a crowd here, it didn't seem loud. The food here is fresh and plated nicely. Otherwise, I wasn't impressed. The mole enchiladas are sweeter than a hot fudge sundae; the cheese enchiladas are filled with processed cheese (product). The rice and beans, however, weren't so much failures (as the mains), but they weren't standouts either. The red salsa here is among the best-flavored (tomatoey with some kick) that I've had in a while, albeit a little on the chunky side. I ordered fajita Al carbon tacos, meat was quality and cooked medium. My wife ordered the pollo Escalante looked delicious. The Mexican rice had a bit too much Zafron for me. Burped for a couple of days. The chips were cold and the salsa seemed like it was from a can. Salsa was cold and weak. Other than that, the main courses and service were on point and our total price didn't break the bank. Plenty of parking! Not many families with children. Lots of couples. Delivery was on time and I didn't have to worry about set up I ordered ensalata fajita self serve set up with beef chicken and shrimp, churros for dessert for 20 Churros were fantastic My total was about $600 that's kinda crazy to be honest last time I got Brisket and sides for less. It was 4 half trays of lettuce and small containers of corn, cheese, dressing, onion tomatoes no avacado. Shrimp was so over cooked it was curled up tight and rubbery, the chicken was like frozen dinner chicken and the beef was passable. The only reason they got 2 stars was customer service but the over all food was pretty bad and to be totally honest. I felt like I could have gotten the family style frozen fajitas from Costco and a couple bags of lettuce and it would have been better unfortunately. I haven't eaten beef fajita meet this flavorful in years. It was also tender which added to the enjoyment. Their street tacos were a little bigger than average so, I only ate 2 of them. You can also get the dish with chicken instead of beef. But, I highly recommend the beef. The chips and salsa were good. I liked the crispness of the chips and they were not oily at all. They taste fresh, crisp and light. The salsa wasn't my favorite but, it was still good. I favor the roasted tomato flavor over non roasted. The fajita poblano IMO is their standout, but the carne asada escalante and the enchiladas mariscos are also noteworthy. The fajitas are solid. The refried black beans and the cilantro rice make for sides that you can't get everywhere and they are both very good. The margaritas get two thumbs up and the sesrvice is always good.
