    Queso & Chips (V)
    Nicole E.

Came to torchys for lunch while in town for work because it was highly recommended. The restaurant was nice and clean and really fun! I got chips and queso and three tacos with extra meat and everything was amazing! Everything came out quickly and perfectly. Definitely will come back every time I am in town.

    Republican & Crossroads Taco

Got the republican and crossroads taco and they both were so flavorful and delicious! We also ordered queso for the table and that was very very addicting. Everything tasted so good! Service was also excellent and very fast. The staff were all very kind as well. The atmosphere was pretty much what you'd expect for a Torchys Tacos joint. Pretty impressed with this location. Haven't been in a Torchys tacos in years but this experience will definitely keep me coming back sooner rather than later!

Dryest taco and brisket I've ever had. All ingredients were cold- cheese not melted. I ordered to go and sat in my car to eat so it would still be hot. Wrong. Service was welcoming and friendly.

Chips and queso are never a disappointment! Unfortunately, cannot remember the names of the tacos, but one of the employees there made the recommendation and we loved all of them. Although seating is very limited at this location, we were able to find a spot closely. The servers and even the bussers were exceptionally fast. Will be back at the location due to the quick service and hardworking employees at every corner

Green Chile Pork and Mr. Orange (front)

I love Torchy's for a fast and unique taco. So many options that are unique to this chain and it's one of my favorites if I need a quick bite to eat. I ordered the Mr. Orange and the Green Chile Pork with avocado. Both were delicious and I would order again. This location is pretty cool - it had a lot of seating as well as a bar on half the restaurant. The service was very fast and the workers were very helpful.

11$ for two tacos that offer $2 worth of flavor/quality

Went to get a quick bite with the wife and left disappointed. The cashier at the entrance was short, meaning had zero patience for us while ordering. She also suggested we don't order our drinks there, but instead order at the bar, "they prefer that." The bar staff was ok, but she couldn't care less to serve us or not. The place has maybe 10 customers total. The beer I ordered was almost warm, my wife's drink was ok. When we received our food, that's when disappointment really set in. I ordered the Chili Wagon, supposed to be New Mexico green chili, this looks like avocado sauce from H‑E‑B. The flavor indicates this was not hatch "new Mexico" green chili. I took a pic of the tacos, lackluster to say the least. The other taco was Brushfire, the canned mango gave it a mushy texture, any def respecting islander would chuck this in the trash. So 4 mediocre at best, tacos, for $20+, $15 for a beer and a drink. I would say that taco cabana offers a better value and equal or better quality food. Then with almost an hour to closing, they guy is mopping it sweeping under our table! The other girl walking around cleaning, is on her Bluetooth having a personal conversation, that was not appropriate. This place has gone downhill, sad part is they don't seem to care.

We always go through the drive thru and while the line can be a bit long at times, we've never really had to wait very long. It's not my number one choice in taco places, but they're good tacos at a good price. When I go on a Carnival cruise, I like to get fish tacos from The Blue Iguana... if I'm not on a ship, this is the closest thing I've found. They do lose a star though because I also have a toddler to feed and tell me why I can get two tacos for the prize of ONE kids quesadilla? So I end up going to two different places for food. There's not much else to say. I don't know if they offer indoor seating, but I know people seem to enjoy sitting in the outdoor patio area. Thankfully it's covered which really helps in the Texas heat. As for me, I just use the drive thru and carry on with my daily tasks.

This review has great energy--you just need it tightened and cleaned 1000 dé cinco estrellas!…read more We visited El Jefe Pollo Asados (620 Nassau Rd in Webster) after a long day of touristy activities, exhausted, with a group of seven--including picky kids. We had so many restaurant options but chose this place because of the high ratings... and I'm so glad we did. I'll be honest--when we first arrived, I wasn't impressed with the outside or the area. I was a little hesitant going in. But the moment we walked through the doors, everything changed. The place felt welcoming, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere--yes, a little loud--but in a good way. It's that lively Mexican vibe: music, micheladas, carne asada... all of it. We were just tired, so I think I noticed it more. Now let's talk about the food... I ordered the Maestro Plate but swapped the meat for short rib costillas--and OH. MY. GOSH. These were hands down some of the best costillas I've ever had. Juicy, tender, packed with flavor. I cleaned those bones completely--every single bite. The dish was served with perfectly grilled "nopales" and queso panela, que ricura! Ahhh, and of course the charro beans and rice that I barely made a dent in. The portions? HUGE. Two of us shared one plate and still had leftovers--and we can eat! Now this part says everything: my grandson, who is on the spectrum and very picky, ordered pollo asado... and he tore into it. No complaints, no hesitation--he finished his entire plate. That alone speaks volumes. My daughter had the birria (and she's a birria critic), and even she couldn't finish her plate because of how generous the portion was--but she said it was full of flavor and really good. My older grandson (big growing boy with an equally big appetite) had a birria quesadilla--again, huge portion--and even he couldn't finish it, which never happens. To top it all off, the owner surprised us with a complimentary dessert--warm, soft, pillowy sopapillas with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. The kids were FULL... and still devoured every last bite. Not a crumb left. And let's talk about pricing... honey. Compared to Austin? This was a steal. I was honestly shocked at how affordable it was for the quality and portion sizes. Amazing food, generous portions, great service, and a place that turned my hesitation into loyalty. They've earned our business--100%. We will absolutely be back next time we're in town.

Now, we were aware that the ultimate bowls would have large portions because our friend warned us about that, but we were not expecting the chicken zoodle bowl to also be the same size. The portions here were huge. We did not finish any of the items that we got and had to take everything to go and were able to eat it for another 1-2 meals.
