Popped in here to grab breakfast to-go on a Friday morning. I've had the tacos before but had never been in. Hubby just usually picks them up and brings them home. He was introduced to Flame tacos through a coworker. They do a lot of online pickup orders which makes the counter service a bit slow. The friendly girl working apologized for the delay in taking our order as she was busy packing up the pickup orders. Not her fault, just could probably use some help. The tacos are AMAZING!!!! Made fresh when ordered. I'm in love with their queso too! I believe it has poblano peppers which makes it so yummy! Not some generic melted cheese but actually has flavor. I went here to place an order at 2:05pm and was denied saying that you guys are closed and yet when I tried to call you no answer and your hours online are not aligned with your new door sign. I came here previously to have some breakfast tacos. They didn't blow me away, but I was set in my head to try the lunch menu options and I wasn't disappointed. The chicken fajita tacos come in a set of three but they looked so delicious I had already consumed one before I remembered to snap a pic. The service was friendly and the food arrived promptly. The chairs aren't very comfortable, but they match the setting of your typical diner style; built for speed not pleasure. All in all, a 4.5 out of 5. Go check it out. read more

I had to interrupt the young lady's phone play once my order was ready, so that she could give me my order. The tacos were mediocre. the good: take out service was friendly and prompt. place was clean. food was ready when promised and warm. order was correct, albeit confusingly small. the rest: ....this ain't it. small portions, high prices, and bland flavor. i wish i would have known about the $5 thursday al pastor special and saved some cash. was not present on their online ordering platform. instead i ordered the mix and match street tacos (5 for $10) to try all 5 meats. they were all bland and pretty indistinguishable. tortillas weren't doubled up so they disintegrated almost immediately. the tacos are smaller than those you get at most taco trucks (smaller diameter tortilla). the quesadillas were smol for $9. i ordered a side of beans and i got a 2oz portion for 75c, like...what...? that's like a shot of frijoles. competitors do a large side of rice and beans por un dólar. we paid $25 for 5 mini tacos, 2 mini quesadillas, and two jello shot cups of beans. read more

The service I had ordering to-go was fast and the staff had my food ready in around 10 minutes. I ordered the street tacos, they come with 5 tacos on Corn Tortillas with choice of meat, onion, only 2 limes, & cilantro. I was disappointed because they told me at the counter I could only choose from 2 meats because I wanted to try all the different taco meat options (chicken, steak, barbacoa, pastor, cochinita) but I will try the others next time. I ended up getting the pastor and steak. The steak was by far my favorite. I loved how they added cooked pineapple in the pastor. The taco meal came with two salsas (salsa rojo is amazing, creamy jalapeño salsa isn't as great), great portion size for all 5 tacos. I loved the flavor and Heath level in the salsa rojo. We came all the way from Alvin to try this place as I'm pregnant and craving tacos. We walked in 6 minutes till 3. A lady sweeping the floor greeted us with a " Hello " and a man came out the back and said " Hi, are you dining in or taking out?" We said " dining in " and the guy threw his hand up, waving and saying " No, no, we close at 3 !" Why ask if we are dining in? Why not tell us that you close soon and can only do take out at this time? His whole demeanor was very rude and we will never come back to this place because of it. Both kind of just started at us as we left and pulled out almost as if they were mad we walked in so close to closing. So FYI: The Flame taco has zero customer service. Now back story my friend has been hosted by them twice with Togo orders. I chose to still try them. I went in to place an order, a line had formed behind me at this time. I placed my order he said 15-20 min at 18:00. I returned at 18:15, at 18:17 he is now delivering food to a family of 4 behind me, I asked " sir I ordered first" he responded " I told you 15-20 min". I responded "I understand, I ordered before them so I am just wondering". He crossed his arms and rolled his eyes and said " well it's how the kitchen works". I politely asked for a refund and he said "no you either wait or don't get it." In a small town for a small city I do not think this is how you charm your locals. I've driven by daily and decided to stop in with the family. Pastor tacos where delicious and their conchinita tacos are just like the tacos in Cancun. Went for taco Tuesday to see what I was hoping for to be my new go-to place for street tacos. We won't be back. We ordered one each of all the tacos and they were just meh to say the least. They were small as expected, but flavorless. The corn tortilla had more flavor then the meats inside. At one point my partner and I looked at each other and both said that we had no idea which was which except for the barbacoa, which was super runny and greasy.
