ordered 5 tacos over the phone and specifically said tacos not burritos. went up to the restaurant to pay and came out to almost $50?! for 5 tacos ! was greeted in a very hostile tone saying that she heard burritos and brushed me off and never let me finish speaking. insisted that's what she heard and that's what she left us with knowing i ordered 5 tacos and payed almost $50 and said no refund. it's the lady w the colored eyes and no common sense or human decency for anyone else but herself cause she didn't want to be left with that much food. read more

I love Chapala's. I'm a regular, I have gone so regularly that Raquel, the owner knows my kids by name. Service is great! Food is always so good and filling. Chicken fajita salad is large enough for 2 days, quesadillas are simple and satisfying, not overdone. The guacamole is delicious and the salsas are fresh and delicious. Green is good by not for the faint of heart... Lemonade and Horchata all fresh and tasty. Try the lunch specials. I call ahead and get to-go orders weekly. The restaurant is always clean, bright, pleasant atmosphere. Pretty busy for such a small town but not ever too crowded. Great place. Highly recommend. read more

Ordered a couple chicken fajita tacos, they brought beef fajita ones to the table. I spoke up and told them they got my order wrong, and they proceeded to tell me, "No, you ordered beef." Which i plainly did not. I in turn, had to pay for the tacos i never ordered and i also never got my chicken tacos. They were not willing to fix their mistakes or take what i didn't order off of my bill. I will never return to chapala's after this i can guarantee. read more

I enjoy supporting local business and this is is a hidden gem in Dickinson. Fast-friendly service and good fresh Mexican food. The building is a little aged and the interior fairly simple but the food is good and reasonably priced, so who cares. Give this place a try, you'll enjoy the food! read more

1st time here. I'm a breakfast person and my cousin told me about the place. It's located across the street from the Dickinson HS. First impression mom and pop place. Old tables..needs better decor. Clean though including the bathroom. Chips and salsa (verde/rojo) authentic spicy and fresh. I ordered the migas a photo of it shown. Good size portion. Beans were not runny. Oops I forgot to mention queso was not from a can. It was velveeta rich!! Fresh flour tortillas I got only because I base good mexican restaurants on their tortillas. They have no bar so if u are looking for a mimosa u came to the wrong place. They gave Aguas refrescas-different flavors : see menu. Menudo served every day. I'll be back for more. read more

Never again. Ordered Miga breakfast tacos. All they put in there were the corn tortillas. I live about 3 minutes from here, when I went in to pick up, they were just putting them in the bag.
