This was the first time I ordered food from here since I was waiting for my daughter to get out of volleyball practice. I was craving some quick Mexican and found this place since I live to try non chain restaurants. I ordered the Al Pastor taco on flour and a Beef Sopes. I was hoping that it wasn't going to disappoint and it didnt! The Al pastor taco had pineapple in it, and I'm not really into pineapple like that but I know that's how they marinate Al pastor meat. It end up being REALLY good with the green salsa, lime and salt! Then, I was hoping the sopes was going to be just as good and it was! I usually get tacos off edgebrook and I've only found good sopes in Pasadena. Most taco trucks around this side of town are not good. But I will definitely come back here when I'm craving tacos and sopes! I would definitely recommend. read more

Well my intention was to try out there $1 taco Tuesday'..... walked in at 8:50 pm asked the waitress if they were still open ? She responded ,"yes only takeout " .... As I go up to the counter I overhear the cook come up and say in Spanish "ya no voy hacer nada " pretty much meaning kitchen is closed !! I walked away disappointed and hungry lol...... Their new "restaurant wanna be " system is terrible. It was good the way it was. This adds not only time to the wait but a reason to go up on prices as one of their team members said. Food was mid for the price. Ordered online and got there at the time of pick up (12 min). By the time we got home the food was cold and needed to be reheated. It was annoying having to reheat the torta because the bread wasn't good anymore and then you're heating up the avocado and crema. Probably won't be back. read more

Been here two time, the food was good overall. The same things were annoying each time I visited. 1. You have to buy chips, not acceptable at a Mexican restaurant, come with very little salsa. 2. The worlds tiniest napkins at a place that sells Birria, recipe for disaster and dozens of napkins being used. 3. Service is kind of rude 4. Food comes out at different times, not all at once. 5. Not a good value, even with decent flavor. 6. Chilaquiles were 5/10, only come with one egg, extra for another egg, small serving. 7. Restrooms are not clean Not a terrible choice given the limited options in the area, but needs a lot of improvement. read more

Absolutely horrible! Coffee cold, tacos cold, the chili con queso had to reheat. The waitress kept saying sorry but we got there 30mins after it open and wasn't packed. Not sure what happen. We complain but the manager that was a lady never pop by at all. We do remember a young male manager months ago and he was amazing..not sure what's going on...but we have now stop going.. plus we sat by the wall (booths) and crawling insect.. told the lady we dont want our money back nor cause a ruckus..but whats going on here! read more

Krave Tacos has some authentic and modern flavors. I like their sopes which come with sliced avocados and la crema! They do not offer beer or margaritas at this time. I saw the birra tacos on Facebook and I must admit I was skeptical at first . However, I am so glad that I went and ate it for myself. So let me tell you off the bat. It's not the best birra tacos I ever had but they were not bad. Not bad at all! The tortilla was on point. It was greasy yes but not ridiculous. The meat had outstanding flavor. It was not bold like too much but definitely well seasoned. My favorite domination was dipping the birra tacos in the consume (beef broth that comes with it) , added cilantro and onions and some green salsa. The orange/ red salsa was good and was hotter (spicy) but the green was best for me. I ordered to go since I didn't want to eat at restaurant etc. Even with that, the food was fresh, great tasting and well packaged (sounds funny but I ate getting home and your sides are all over the inside of the bag). The rice was not bad and the charro beans were good as well. It had pieces of bacon, ham , onions and maybe jalapeños. The beans didn't seem like fresh seem like fresh beans but I could be wrong. Regardless, they were decent tasting though. There was some (I'm assuming) ground beef that looked red to me. It bothered me a bit but I was so pleased with the tacos that I decided not to grade harshly lol I paid about $16 for three birra tacos , toppings for tacos , side of Spanish rice, side of charro beans and all the napkins/utensils. The Resturant looked like it had a following and there was table, by the window seating and single booth seating. There was a specific pick up/ to go location at the counter and a dine in line. If you are in the area, swing by or call it in . You won't be disappointed. I gave this place a 4 star since I still would like to order more traditional tacos (fajita , barbacoa , etc). Ordered 4 gorditas, pozole and menudo over the phone and the gorditas were $5 that was instead of the 3.85 advertised on Uber eats for pick up. There was no beans in the gorditas just meat and cheese and for $5 each that's ridiculous. One of my Gorditas with beef fajita was completely rancid and had to be thrown away. The pozole was just okay and there was no hominy in the menudo. What a let down. Never coming back here again. $49 for food to be thrown away is absolutely unacceptable. read more

Decent tacos and staff were very sweet. I got the Al pastor, barbacoa and chicharron tacos. My favorite were the chicharron tacos, but I have had better Al pastor and barbacoa tacos. great place, 5 stars -- except for the guacamole. clearly it's made with avocado extender, not real avocados, or maybe only part avocados and part extender. there's a huge difference. it takes 2 minutes to cut an avocado, mash it up with seasoning, and serve it that way. believe me, customers know the difference right away. read more

Todays visit (3/26/2023 Sunday) was not as previously enjoyed. Let me start off by stating this was my 3rd visit and my 1st 2 visits were awesome. The store was visibly busier than I have experienced before. We were able to place our order rather quickly. We noticed although there were a few tables that needed to be bussed my family was able to find seating. Today we waited about 25 min for our order due to the amount of orders both inside restaurant and online orders. However after our long wait our food came out and was nice, hot and fresh (which I've come to expect and glad it was the same quality). So far so good so why the 2 star rating.......well here goes While waiting for our order tables started clearing out and needed to be bused as more guest were arriving and had no place to sit. The lady who was expediting came out to bus a few tables and I noticed she was gathering napkins left on table from other guest and wiping table with them. No sanitizer or towel just napkins. Then the napkins that were left she took and placed on counter to use for togo orders. After she noticed me watching she then went and got a spray bottles and towel to clean tables. However after she noticed orders were getting made and not handed out she went back to expedite the orders without washing her hands. Although I understand the wait for food I don't understand why she didn't think to wash and sanitize her hands prior to expediting orders. In all fairness they crew could have used at least 2 more people during the lunch rush. Side note when a guest ask for 4 limes please give them 4 limes, not 2 then 1 and 1 When I revisit I will update the star rating if cross contamination issues are better. The food has been great on all my visits but the cleanliness and guest service were issues on this visit only. read more

I've passed by this place numerous times and have ways wanted to try it out. Went there last week and ordered food for myself and my mom. The wait was very long for my order and the order was not fixed as asked. One of the orders had to be returned because it was missing the meat id ordered with it. My charro beans was watery and did not taste right so I threw it away after a couple bites. The tacos were ok although I did not eat but 1. They were not as good as they looked on the menu. Tried to give Krave a second chance and order nachos but when I got them again it took a long time, even after calling ahead and placing the order. the order was not made properly with barely any cheese or meat but plenty of chips tf. Anywho, it's a cute lil spot, but I'm ok with not going back. It's not my cup of tea when it comes to Mexican food but others may love it, which is perhaps the reason it's busy most days. read more

Great News! You get a free taco when ordering three tacos here, thus four tacos instead. I ordered 4 Tacos on corn (Beef, Tripe, Chicken, Shrimp) with a side of Mexican rice. They were all very delicious, fresh, full of protein, seasoned and mild in aromas along with being authentic. The corn tortillas on them were thick and fresh with a subtle corn flavor as they should. The beef taco was very juicy, had grill flavor, meaty in taste and well seasoned. The tripe taco was crispy and had its unique burnt belly meat type flavor. The chicken taco was juicy and charred. The shrimp taco was aromatic, juicy, had grilled flavor and was well prepared without tasting like it was from a frozen box, being too fishy or tasting bland either. The rice was mildly spiced, moist and flavorful. I also really like that spicy green cream sauce with a nice dab of it mixed in the rice especially. Great service again as well. My favorite tacos in this order were for sure the beef and shrimp ones, bc I thought they were the most flavorful and tastiest of the four. I like the chicken best in the gorditas and quesadillas here. When I am in this area I go to Krave Tacos when I crave tacos. read more

My husband and I moved to Galveston 4 years ago from Southern CA, and have never been able to find authentic Mexican food, (not Tex mex) until we found Krave. Hands down the closest we've had to Mexican food back home. It is SO FREAKING GOOD. Like we were so impressed. We had carne asada, chicken and shrimp tacos along with the mini taquitos. Chicken was juicy, and delicious. Shrimp and carne asada were outstanding as well. I am a hot sauce freak, and I LOVED their salsa. The restaurant was super clean; and the prices were super reasonable. We got 9 tacos for 20 bucks. My new favorite place! I wish it wasn't 40 min away, but we will definitely come back! read more
