Awesome!! I came in Wednesday with my boyfriend around 3:45 and we were greeted by many friendly hostesses. We tried to order a bowl of queso and our waitress told us if we waited about 10 minutes the nacho car would be out and we thought that was very nice of her because she could have easily let us spend money unnecessarily. They have their hatch green chile fest going on right now and you have GOT to go in and try the chicken enchiladas on their special menu. Oh..my..goodness! I visited Chuy's today for the first time, and I LOVED it!! I had the Elvis Green Chile Fried Chicken but substituted the green chile sauce for the Boom Boom sauce...sooo good!! I eat like a kid in that I do not care for chunky sauces with large pieces of onions and tomatoes...I was pleasantly surprised that the Boom boom sauce was blended to perfection...the only thing I was a little bit disappointed in was the salsa..it was chunky and not blended enough for my taste, but it had a good flavor.. The service was excellent as well...Josh, the GM I believe, brought my food and came back later to see if I liked it. This is now my local favorite, and I will also be getting the Boom Boom sauce to go to make a southwest pasta out of it (penne, black beans, chicken, avocado) at home :) read more

I love Chuy's. It's definitely one of my favorite places to eat. If you go, ask for the jalapeño sauce. It will change your life. I'm not kidding. Another life changing dish at Chuy's is their chuychanga. Ladies, put your carb and calorie counting aside and order this. You will not regret it. Also men, be sure to order your own because I am sure your wife/girlfriend will not share with you. Get it with the boom boom sauce and it's going to be the best thing you have ever tasted. Chuys has a fun decor and friendly waitstaff, Their food is great and better then your average Tex-Mex. If you've never gone or want to just try all the sauces just ask for the "Rainbow Sauce Plate". this will have all their sauces on one plate and it comes with a explanation of all of them. I keep promising myself, "next time I go to Costco, I'll stop here for happy hour". The happy hour 4-7 involves $3.99 margarita, free chips and queso. Our dinner was fantastic, Tex-Mex food for Gringos. If you're not used to spicy food, this is a good choice. The salsa and chips are delicious, lots of white onion in the salsa and thin style chips, all homemade "en casa". Good queso dip, too - which is free during happy hour - which I attempt to keep in mind when I'm in the area. They use a lot of salt in pretty much everything, I've noticed. Fun and funky interior. We sat on the patio tonight - which was open so one would assume the servers would remember they have tables out there. We ordered our drinks and food and saw the server one time after that! I had to go inside to the bar to get my daughter a refill and to ask for a box and for someone to get us our check! My husband and I would both have ordered another margarita and I would have loved a flour tortilla - but can fix dinner at home if I want to get my own stuff. It was the worst $32 we have ever spent. Food? Usually 4 or 5 stars if you stick to what they do best - fajitas and tacos. Service can be a totally random crapshoot. Your experience at this Chuy's will vary wildly depending on how good your server is and how busy it is. And they are always busy. If you see tons of people waiting to sit... you've been warned. Want to go eat on a busy Friday or Saturday night? Roll the dice. So about the food. Wifey and I love it, but really only certain things. Tacos & fajitas are the way to go. The tortillas are hand made, both flour AND corn. As far as I'm concerned EVERY tex-mex place should have fresh tortillas, and a lot of them don't. The queso is probably my favorite of all tex-mex places, it's awesome. Creamy jalepeno sauce is great. Chips are freshly made and usually great. Margaritas are strong and tasty but the "fancy" ones are costly. I always joke with the wife when we go if she wants a $12 margarita or not. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is good but the sauce lights me on fire, and it's huge. Sadly whenever we bring friends they always ordered something other than Fajitas or tacos, and most times not really pleased at the outcome. The outside / patio seating at this location is TERRIBLE. It's right off Central expressway (north of Parker) and if you sit outside all you can hear is freeway traffic and smell truck exhaust. I don't understand why they didn't put the tables on the OTHER side of the restaurant, the side that doesn't face the freeway? Dumb. Don't come here for patio dining. The last time we ate there, it was super busy... but only 2 of us so took a shot. Turned out our waitress was a super star (sorry I can't remember her name) and she was so fast and attentive. Sadly it's not always that great, and when we have a bad visit we try other (inferior) tex-mex places for a few weeks then go crawling back to Chuy's with our tail between our legs. I'm totally over trying to eat here with big parties though, it's always a nightmare if you have more than 6 people. I like the t-shirts but I've never bought one. They should throw one if for free if your bill exceeds $100... I would have a closet full of them for sure. read more

Oh what a great time we had here on Friday! We wanted to go for the Happy Hour, it was our first time. We got there around 4:30 and our waiter was so friendly and prompt. He brought everything out so quick and didn't forget any of our requests. The margaritas were amazing, and the nacho bar car was an awesome little add on. Will totally be back. read more

This place has the best customer service I've had, ever! From the Host to our Waiter (Terry), this place has me wanting to come back bringing family and friends! Be mindful that this is my family and I's first time here. If you have to refer me to Terry, please do! I told him I would take care of him just like he is taking care of us. This is a regular stop for me. I love their stacked enchiladas. Sometimes the chicken is not shredded properly so you get huge dry chunks of chicken in the stack instead of thin layers like normal. When they get it right, though, it's the best. Also, I feel somewhat evil when I skip the 40+ minute waiting line on busy nights to grab a booth in the open seating area. Lol. I would not have even given one star, but had to in order to post a review. First time eating at a Chuy's, I can' speak for all, but this one the food what little I could manage down was terrible. I called in for a curbside for enchiladas and an extra enchilada with charro beans. 15.25 I paid for no beans just juice from the beans, I asked for no cheese, quess what I got cheese inside and out of the enchilada, looked like white snot coming out of the enchiladas, very disappointed and only two enchilada, not an extra one as I asked. Look like the plate had already been prepared and popped in the microwave as to there were refried beans and I only wanted charro beans. Usually I would go back for refund instead I decided to write review and went down the highway to Jack n the Box, tried the new Fish sandwich with Fries. Bean burrito and beef fajita burrito are my fav!!! I am a total meat snob (I dont like fat and gristle or any yucky parts), and I love the fajita beef burrito (which is really steak - but not the same as the steak burrito). I also love the bean burrito enough to pay what is really a little much for beans and a tortilla. This is my husband's favorite restaurant; we even named one of our pets Chuy! He loved it when he lived in Austin, TX, and now that it's in the DFW area, I can enjoy it as well! Now, it's always very busy, a good thing right? Not too long of a wait for a table all the same. Wonderful salsa, very fresh, love the queso dip. House margarita so-so. Lots of wonderful food choices, and can be personalized without complaint. Freshly made tortillas. My husband always gets the southwest enchiladas (with the fried egg on top) - too spicy for me, but I can always find things that are "just enough" spicy. The atmosphere is funky, lots of portraits on the walls, lots of elvis stuff, bright colors, festive. They sell t-shirts, and always have new selections. This is our "special" tex-mex restaurant, usually going there once every 2 months or so. read more

In the past, Chuy's has been one of my go to restaurants for Tex Mex. I feel that the place is becoming more like a Tex Mex version of Chili's -- standard tasty food, but nothing stands out in comparison to other typical mom and pop tex mex places. On my last visit to Chuy's, the service was absolutely amazing. I had eaten at Chuy's probably 2-3 times before I realized that they had about 6 different salsa's that you can try. I didn't realize that until I told my waiter that the salsa they normal serve was too spicy. Instead, the waiter brought out 3 other salsa's for me to try. He was so kind and very patient. I don't remember his name, but he was kind enough to left me try all of their different salsa's before I decided what to order. After eating at Chuy's in Austin, Plano, and Fort Worth, this is still my favorite location. read more

Great guacamole, salsa, chips, & corn tortillas! I love the veggie enchiladas with either ranchero sauce (mild) or tomatillo sauce (medium), both of which are vegan when you hold the cheese. Both bean & rice options are vegan, as well. The green chile rice & charro beans are SPICY, while the traditional refried beans & Mexican rice are milder. Would love to see more specific vegan offerings from Chuy's! Especially soups & fajitas. It would also be nice to have an awesome vegan salad offering, too. I'm sure Chuy's could accomplish that for their herbivore guests! read more

The queso is worth the trip. OMG. I've never had a bad dish. The hatch chile rice is great if you love spice. I can't really add to anything others have said, but they are on point. The queso is the bomb. I could eat the hub caps in the hub cap room and be happy if they were dipped in their queso. They also have a cool website and care about finding good ingredients. I have been to many other Chuy's locations, and I have to say I was really disappointed at this one last weekend. It was Sunday night and quite busy. We waited about 20 minutes at 6:30 or so. No biggie. But our service at our table was very disappointing. Our server appeared to be completely overwhelmed and looked as if she was trying to escape to the back every time we saw her. We had to wait a pretty long time to order and then we had to flag her down for anything the rest of the meal. As a former service industry employee, I tend to watch what's going on in the rest of the restaurant and I could tell her other tables were having a similar experience. Best I can tell she only had four tables. Our plates were never pre-bussed and it seemed like we were really bothering her anytime we asked for another bar drink or a napkin, etc. You'd think she would want the additional tip $$ on the bar drinks being ordered!! Also my order was wrong, but I didn't even bother to try to get it fixed b/c it wasn't a huge deal and I didn't want to upset my server any more! Finally, we received our check at the end of the meal after waiting for awhile. There was $1 upcharge for queso on the burrito which I didn't recall seeing on the menu. When our server was asked about it, she apologized and said she should have mentioned that to us when we ordered it. Additionally, I was surprised to see that a small side of guacamole was almost $4. Our food was excellent as it always is at Chuy's locations, but I will never go back to this location after this poor experience. While I recognize the prices are completely out of the server's control (and I don't mind paying $1 for queso or $4 for guacamole), it was the service that was really lacking here. I will always pay more for high quality food (which I believe Chuy's always, always has) but not low quality service. We'll continue to visit the Tollway Plano location in the future. Won't return to the 75 location. read more

I LOVE Chuy's but the last time I went the service was not good....at all! I went with a friend and we had queso and each ordered a salad. Our server never came to check on us, we were both out of water and did not have what we needed for our salads. We finally had to flag down another server to help us and she actually came by another time to make sure everything was OK. When we were ready to pay our check our server brought us our bill but NEVER came back to get our payment. I was there with my one-year-old and he was getting irritable because we were there for so long waiting period another server had to take our checks to the register so we could pay and leave. After waiting FOREVER we asked for a manager and he came to speak to us. However he did nothing to rectify the situation. After waiting even longer we finally got our credit cards back so we could leave. Very disappointing. read more

The only thing that sometimes keeps me going from this place is how busy this place is! I'm always leery of chain restaurants but was in town meeting with a vendor and they recommended Chuy's. The fajitas were recommended to me and while I can't say I'm a big fajita person I figured why not go that route. The tortillas were incredibly fresh, the steak was moist, the chicken well seasoned, and the accompaniments were all solid. The chips and salsa were enjoyable as well. This was definitely some of the better Tex-Mex I've ever had. Our server was friendly, albeit a bit over the top with his personality and upselling during a professional lunch. Still, I would recommend this chain mostly because of how fresh the tortillas and salsa were. read more

Sat at the bar today Saturday at lunch with my hubby , drinking beer eating lunch watching FIXER UPPER talking with the bar tender about Waco area. When after watching it for 50 minutes a manager comes up and changes the channel for one guy, who walks up, waiting for a table, drinking a Coke! We paid and as we were leaving I asked the manager's name - he said"JOHN ". Then said "SEAN". I replied "see you on yelp". Really don't get it. This place is always packed. Atmosphere is great, service and drinks good - but the food is mediocre at best. There are 100's of better places to get your Tex-Mex fix. My recommendation would be cruise down 75 to Pappasitos in Richardson and have a great experience. read more

The only reason I give it a 3 is because the service was fast(especially for a Saturday dinner) and the server was good. They had two young ladies at the front desk that were smiling and attentive. With the restaurant being packed we(2people) got sat within 10min.The guy that served us was Dylan and he seemed fun and you could tell he enjoyed his job. The food=Meh. I wasn't feeling most of the food and the rice seemed dry to me. The chips and tortilla are made fresh so that's a plus. The Queso dip is thebomb.com probably the best thing we ate.
