    Deluxe Chicken Enchiladas

I have always enjoyed eating at Chuy's, but tonight was not great! The reason for the two stars is the quality of the food! Quesadillas were so greasy when picked up and the outside of the tortilla tasted super salty. Honestly, I didn't want to eat much after the first wedge. My hands were coated in grease...so disgusting! The service though was exceptional. Our waiter (wish I had gotten his name) was great! He checked on us often and truly gave us excellent service! We just can't return after being served subpar food we used to enjoy so much!

If you are vegetarian, DO NOT order the queso!!! On the menu it reads "Blend of melted cheese, Green Chile & Ranchero Sauces. Add seasoned ground beef, guacamole & pico de gallo", so I assumed that it is vegetarian because you can just add meat if you want it. I thought it was a little strange that it didn't have the "V" symbol next to it like the other vegetarian options on the menu, but I proceeded to try to order it anyways. Thankfully I had already told the server that I am vegetarian, so he alerted me that the queso is, in fact, NOT vegetarian. Not sure why as he didn't explain it, but just warned me that it wasn't vegetarian friendly. This blew my mind because this is the ONLY Mexican restaurant I have been to where the regular queso is not vegetarian friendly. It actually really upset me because I love queso and there are already so few vegetarian options on the menu to begin with. What's more, the quesadillas that I ordered barely had any cheese in them. Disappointing. This is what prompted me to order a side of queso to make my quesadillas more cheesy, but alas, I wasn't able to do so. So my rating is based on the sole fact that they do not have queso that vegetarians can safely eat. The most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Then they skimped out on the cheese in the quesadilla. What is happening?! I will not be returning to any Chuy's locations moving forward.

I've been multiple times, and the experience is always great! They start you off with free chips and jalapeño ranch dip. This alone makes it worth the trip. I also recommend the Chicka-chicka-boom-boom enchiladas. All of the waiters that I've had have been very friendly and have stayed on top of things. The decorations are also super fun. Also - they give themselves 5 stars on their own menu, and I can't find any reason to disagree!

Service here is always great even on a super busy night when we went. Food is good for texmex when you're just craving some Mexican food their margaritas are always good here as well Overall it is definitely a place to come if you have never been especially with their chips and salsa one of the main things that keep brining us back here

Good for what it is, Tex-Mex. Server was very friendly. Spacious location. Fair prices.

I love Chuy's, who doesn't! The green enchiladas, the nachos, the salsa and chips, the drinks! Parking is ok at this location. Price point is reasonable and the food is tasty. I judge a texmex based on the salsa and chips Their take out game needs improvement. Like make sure you give chips and salsa especially when the customer orders and extra pint. ‍ Hubs didn't check the bag, so I guess that's on him-next time he will.

Came here since my friends recommended this as an authentic Tex-Mex and it was packed to the brim on a Friday night. Super family friendly. Got the world famous enchilada (boom chicka) and it was huge portion size w a delicious creamy sauce. We also got a steak burrito which also was very enchilada-esque vs a classic burrito; however, I much preferred the steak burrito over the enchilada. Table ordered a virgin pina colada that just came in a regular glass and looked a little sad. Guacamole could use slightly more seasoning as well Overall well run and streamlined. Great service and decent food. Will def be back!

The origami ceiling, lively bar, friendly staff, unique cocktails, fun bathroom, and photo booth in the corner made for an unforgettable experience. My friend said it was the busiest he had ever seen the place, and it was loud. But we got some awesome drinks that I swore I could've taken pics of -- the lighting was a little crazy, so I think I ultimately changed my mind with that. One was the periscope which was a refreshing and summery gin drink... And I think I tried the naked and famous too because I like mezcal. I had already eaten so I skipped the restaurant the speakeasy's connected to, but I cannot wait to return to Houston outside of a Con so I can really go all out on exploring. And glad we did but also upset at myself that I had not visited sooner. Ambiance: Parking is a mix of valet and self park along the side of the Porsche dealership. Dress code for the evening was dressy business casual. There was an event going on along with the DJ spinning some great tunes. It's almost like a mini lounge/club, but scaled back to be a cocktail and coffee shop. The Porsche's parked in front were a good addition to enjoy while drinking cocktails. Service: Bartenders were friendly and quick. So much so that we ended up with an extra drink that we didn't let go to waste. Food (drinks): They do have some food and coffee that is offered, but we came for the hard stuff. Podium Espresso Martini: 5/5 Wouldn't expect less than a 5 from a place that regularly serves fresh espresso, now make it boozy and it's even better. We visited on a Tuesday and they had an handful of drinks that were $9 all day. They had a smoked old fashioned and carajillo espresso listed. Not sure if it was a limited time for the holidays, but I plan on finding out and either way trying them. Overall, highly enjoyable and fun experience to have some well crafted drinks by some attentive and friendly mixologists that care what they serve. Looking forward to my next visit.

Parking kind of sucks here so I would suggest coming in early and if you find something in the parking lot or by the mechanic shop, back your car in because people will likely park behind you and it'll be pretty tight getting out later. So we walked on over to this little speakeasy and were immediately greeted by the bouncer. On a Thursday night, it was quite crowded, but were able to find the last remaining seats at the bar. We were seated at the left end of the bar, which was nice because we had our own little "nook" away from the rest of the bar. Adjacent to us was the server station - the one server tending to the tables, Marilyn, frequently came by and we immediately befriended her. She gave us excellent recommendations and provided her opinion on several drinks. Robin was the bartender who took care of us throughout the night. She was super friendly from the moment we sat down and gave us stellar recommendations on food and drinks. She was happy to tweak a couple of their seasonal drinks to our liking, and even offered to mix other drinks that weren't on the menu. Fantastic service from Robin throughout the night. I started out with Tommy's Margarita - this was just their take on a classic margarita, nothing super special. I then ordered the Oaxacan Old Fashioned - think of an old fashioned made with tequila and mezcal in lieu of bourbon. I was a bit cautious about this one since I am not a fan of mezcal, however the smoky flavor was not very apparent in this one, which was a huge plus! I also got the Ardilla - very unique drink made with mexican corn whiskey, cocoa nibs, sherry, and a milk punch. I award this drink for most unique I've had in a while, definitely give it a try if you're up for something new. To finish, I had the Cariña - their take on an espresso martini made with reposado tequila. I really liked this espresso martini - it was a great way to finish out the night and I left feeling inspired to make my espresso martinis at home using tequila now! With the little room we had left in our stomachs, we tried the Pato Tinga Memela, which was duck leg (no bone) with beans and onions and cilantro atop a memela. I haven't had memela specifically per se, but consider me a fan. It is basically a mini "cake" of masa that is pan fried to a slight crispiness. An Oaxacan speciality, where else can I find these in Houston!? We also tried the Guacamole y Tostadas. The guacamole was unique in the sense that it was Oaxacan style, so contains pepitas, pickled onions, and queso fresco. The tostadas were super crispy and reminded me of how they serve guacamole in Mexico (rather than with chips/totopos). Fun fact is that this bar is owned by Goode Company. Next door to this is Goode Co. Cantina, so it's nice that they created an adjoining restaurant + speakeasy concept within the same strip. At one point in our visit, Levi Goode was standing next to us. We didn't know until after he left and Marilyn informed us, that that was THE man. Just doing a casual check-in of his bar. We really had a good experience at Bar Buena and look forward to returning. The food menu has quite a few offerings I wanted to try had I not come from a cooking class. We were also told that the seasonal drink menu was set to change shortly after our visit, so I look forward to trying these drinks!
