Una experiencia pésima. Pedimos tortillas de maíz y estaban agrias y olían mal, le dijimos a nuestra mesera y se las llevó pero ya nunca nos trajo otras (todas al parecer estaban en mal estado) . Cuando llego el platillo de chile relleno con la enchilada verde, la tortilla también estaba echada a perder y el chile relleno ni para que mencionarlo, solamente véanlo. Muy mala presentación de los platillos, nada presentable o apetitoso. Nuestra mesera muy linda y con mucha pena disculpándose, ella se portó muy bien.

Not sure how this place has somewhat decent reviews, to be perfectly honest. I rarely give out bad reviews - but when it warrants it, I will. The pros; the outdoor patio is really pretty - although they have fans blowing directly on you, so the napkins and anything not nailed down goes flying away. We were seated quickly. The food wasn't bad. Cons? It was expensive - the gauc was eight bucks, tasted spoiled, and was literally all lettuce underneath one meager scoop of gauc. Yikes. Our server literally gave no shits and would be walking away before we even had a chance to say what we were saying about our order. We had to ask probably five times for a refill on water and chips. He seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but there, and instead hung out at the bar on his phone.

So I've come a few times to chuys and don't get me wrong, the food is great. However, the level of service you receive at the bar depends on if you're familiar or not. The ambiance is overall traditional Tex Mex. I've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants because I love a good frozen margarita but Aaron completely blew my buzz. I'm assuming because I wasn't his type or a familiar face, I didn't get the same treatment. I waited so long for my second drink, I ended up ordering it to go. What's ironic is, I've only been in town for a few weeks but between in person visits and online ordering with friends, we've spent at least 300 bucks there. If you're looking for a good frozen margarita, just get it to go!

Service is friendly and very short wait time on a Sunday and on Cinco De Mayo. Free chips and homemade salsa are awesome. Enjoyed a strawberry margarita in the day's cup. Our plate was huge and shareble.

Chuy's has always been a favorite of mine. Being from the east cost it reminds me of meeting my family for vacations in Florida and Disney (Orlando!). I was excited when I moved to El Paso to see that they also had a Chuy's. The food and drinks were on point for this location as to be expected. The only reason I did not rate five stars is because during Covid Chuy's has a limited menu. Understandable that businesses are hurting during the pandemic and have to limit some of their offerings. However, this local Chuy's (and Chuy's in general) has not advertised these changes. The menu is very small and options such as vegetarian and/or seafood are not available. I was surprised that some of our favorite meals were no longer offered and all of the meals currently offered were very slim.

Let me start by mentioning that I only tasted the quesadillas, which are an appetizer. So the main plates could be more appealing for some and even more delicious. I loved that the flour tortillas are freshly made right there at the spot and you can taste it. The ratio of food to plate was pretty generous for what I ordered. Would have loved to see more salsa in each quesadilla or at least the option to have some on the side, I'm not talking about bottled ones. They can carry the homemade tortilla spirit and expand it to the salsa department. The service was good, no complains in that aspect and the decorations inside the restaurant is pretty cool and interesting. I really liked that they have local art displayed and even for sale, I believe. Glad we tried a new place on our visit to the fountains and I would encourage to give it a go for yourself and see if this is for you. Provecho!

I went to Chuy's with a large group of friends and everyone said the food was good. Not amazing but definitely good. My friend Curt was in town from Florida and we split the boom boom enchiladas. The sauce was milder than I expected but it still had good flavor. Will definitely good again.

Very good Tex mex. Wish the enchiladas were a bit more spicy but still good and these margaritas!? 10/10 I ordered chicken enchiladas and when I got them they were all cheese I told my server and he had no problem on taking my plate and bringing it back correctly so I really appreciate that. We were visiting El Paso for a business trip and a bunch of us decided to try this place out on a Friday night. Hands down the martini was to die for - we each must have had 2 servings of martinis each paired with the delicious food. I had heard the enchiladas were good and we were not disappointed. Even though this was more commercial and more of a Tex mex place, the rice and beans were authentic. The house fiery sauces added that extra kick to the food and it did not disappoint. This was a massive steak burrito. Super huge and I love it. It's a very filling meal and I love to eat so I was quite satisfied. The steak was juicy and cooked perfectly. There was a lot of steak in the burrito and the green chili added to the flavor.

The typical tex mex place. I was disappointed to see a limited menu. I ordered the fajita tacos and they were standard fare. Nothing special about this. Two tacos with undercooked rice and beans The michelada I had was watered down. My son ordered the flautas (6 to an order). He liked them. His date ordered the ground beef tacos. Can't say what those tasted like. For dessert I ordered the 3 leeches cake and that was better than expected. Overall.. nothing to ooh and ahh over. Just another chain serving textbook tex mex fare.

Very bad service. Went to have lunch. Asked for both when I went in. Was told none were available. W as taken to a table and they were cleaning a booth. Asked if I could get the booth. Hostess rolled her eyes at me, said yes. I waited for booth to be cleaned, sat down. Hostess went to seat someone else. Ten minutes later, nobody ever even came to say hi. I asked for manager, told them the problem and left. Lots of places to eat in that area. I have been going to Chuy's for many years. Will not go back to that one. read more

I've never had bad service here. The food is fresh, and hot. I love their happy hour chips and salsa. I literally crave this place at least once a week. Their margaritas are strong and the tortilla soup is amazing! Will Continue to be a loyal fan! read more

I'v been enjoying Chuy's bowel of chicken tortilla soup for the past ten years while living in Dallas Tx. I was so thrilled when I found out there was one in El Paso. My thrill was soon met with disappointment. I ordered a bowl of soup to go, as was our custom at the Dallas Chuys, and was given a less than half full container which must have been less than a cup of soup, when I opened the container of sides there was nothing but tortilla strips, which for me is far under par because every other Chuy's I'v ever been to consistently gives you a bowel, if you order a bowel and also puts cheese, cilantro, and avocado in with the tortilla strips. Even the two flower tortillas I ordered on the side were brittle. I'm sorry El Paso Chuys's, you lost me. read more

Typical Tex Mex restaurant. Hands up for the customer service here. Friendly smiles, nice homely feeling and the Mexican decor is beautiful. I think people in El Paso won't appreciate the true beauty but it's so colorful and sparkly! Your eyes won't know where to look. My grandparents loved the atmosphere and hit it off with the manager. On to the food, the food was a bit salty and the chile relleno was crunchy and round, as opposed to the flat and soft texture im used to. Doesn't taste bad, but it's definitely different. If you're coming for the legitimate Mexican food, then No, you will probably not like the Texas mix. But don't be picky. Overall the plate size were good portions, the sangria was sweet, and they give tostada chip refills. read more

Love this place! The bartender was amazing and was able to make a slushee like drink for me. I requested something with cucumber vodka, tajin and sweet and sour mix! I love the all you can eat chip and salsa bar! I ordered the chicken flautas and they were so authentic and the order was bigger than I expected! I was able to take half the order home and be full with just half the order ! read more

Waited 15 min to have our drink order taken. Pico de Gallo salsa was overwhelmingly vinegar flavored. Servers all look like deer in headlights. I got the enchilada and relleno with deluxe tomatillo sauce and it was not bad, but my daughter got the chicken strips and fries and the batter for the chicken had a strong fish flavor, which I'm guessing that they are mixing batters or gave her the wrong one by accident. All in all the food was OK, but not worth the wait. They are new so I understand that servers are learning. There are a hundred better places to get tex-mex in El paso. read more

This was my first time at a Chuy's and let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed! I ordered the queso compuesto as an app...it was delish! I ordered the steak burrito for my entree and it was almost the size of my forearm! It came with hatch green chili rice which tasted like the rice my grandma makes, and charro beans which tasted authentic. The food was, by far, the best Mexican food I've had in El Paso. What made the experience even more memorable was just how friendly and helpful our waitress was. Since it was my first time there, I wanted to try a little bit of all the salsas and sauces they had. My waitress brought me what I asked for to include her recommendations without one complaint. At the end of our meal, my husband asked about the blue tortillas, she brought him a complimentary one to try. It was so nice to get excellent service!!!! I will be going back no doubt, and recommending this place to friends and family! read more

This is great family tex-mex place, it's not Mexican it's tex-mex. We live in a city full of little mom and pop "mexican " restaurants, that want to serve everything they can think of, they have a book as a menu. Real good restaurants of any kind are those that keep it simple to the point have a few specialties and that is it. This is what brings me to Chuy's they have a unique take on authentic tex-mex food. Very consistent and thier menu is simple to the point, not the BEST but good. I will not be a regular at Chuys, but I will visit once in a while. read more

I moved to Portland, OR. 2 years ago and I live in a mecca of bland food. I miss Chuy's tex-mex every single day. We used to eat here almost once a week when we lived in EP and have tried almost every single item on the menu. Our meals were always around 35 bucks. To get any type of food for 2 adults and 2 kiddos in Oregon you're looking at at least $55. Chuy's is dearly missed. read more

Been there five times now and every time is just awesome! All the food that I have eaten was delicious and the drinks are off the chain! Xavier is one hell of a bartender and he makes great drinks. When all is said and done, don't forget to try the tres leches, this desert alone will keep you coming back. read more

Went on a Sunday evening. Place was not too busy but service was still lousy. No staff wearing masks. We had a party of 8 and our entrees came out over the course of 20 minutes. Margaritas were watered down and the red sauce for enchiladas was way off. Server said the kitchen ran out of refried beans as well. From where we were sitting you could see back into the kitchen. No masks or gloves and most of the cooks seemed to be messing around. Won't be coming back here. Do yourself a favor and get Taco Bell if you're looking for Tex-Mex. read more

Quick Overview: Hands down the best Tex-Mex in the Southwest. The wife and I visited Chuy's three nights ago and were very impressed with our experience. Before delving further, let me say that it was obvious that it was our first time there. So our hostess (I think actually the manager) took the time to inform us of just how fresh all their food is. She begins telling us how they never use anything frozen, to which I sort of roll my eyes since everyone tries to say that. But get this: THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A FREEZER! Okay, a small one for ice cream, but you get the idea... The Delicious Food: We were served two salsas and chips upon arrival, and let me say they were both amazing. One was their version of a salsa fresca and the other was a white salsa - a little like a spicy ranch sauce. The chips alone were very tasty: light and crisp, not too much oil, and flavorful. I had a combo plate which consisted of an enchilada, taco, and chalupa (and the requisite rice and beans). The enchilada was the star of the show for me, but the taco and chalupa were great too. It was just a cheese enchilada but the mole on top was superb. Not just your regular "red" or "green" enchilada sauce, but an earthy brown sauce with a hint of coffee! The beans are just fabulous. I notice a lot of Mexican and Tex-Mex joints top their beans with cheese to hide the fact that they're not that good. Not here, buddy. My wife had carne guisada which I was SO jealous of! If you've never had it but thought to yourself, "I wish I could put this amazing pot roast in a tortilla with salsa, beans, and avocado," then carne guisada is for you. Honestly, I would just eat the whole bowl over some rice if it were me. Lastly... Tres Leches. Just basque in the thought of its dense, creamy, richness. Now go order some. Their Incredible Service: So you read above how we were informed of Chuy's food practices by our very attentive hostess. Our server too was very nice and wanted to make sure we had a good time. At the end of the meal we were given a huge bag of chips with salsas to go, which I thought was super cool. We will be back soon for all these reasons and more! read more

This place is such a let down. We arrived and got on the list. They told us that the wait was going to be 20 minutes, which was fine. We sat right outside the door and waited until we were notified by text that our table was ready. We walked in and told them who we were. They told us that our table had somehow been given away and we were going to have to wait another 45 minutes. I called the manager and she was nothing but sarcastic and condescending. I actually used to enjoy going to this restaurant but it seems like they don't have their stuff together. I'm going to make sure and let all my family and friends know not to come here/ wouldn't want them to go through the same experience. read more

Visiting from Cali I would never eat here again. Management argues with guests. Has tables placed in doorways, entrance ways which are a MAJOR fire hazard. Staff act like doing their job is a chore. And waiy staff didnt even understand what a blended drink ment. 97 degrees and no central air. Hot as hell inside. DO NOT EAT here. You will be disappointed. Taco Bell is better read more

Well, we waited till all of the opening crowds thinned out to come here. Still , even on a Sunday lunch, there were people waiting. First off, this is NOT the L and J, Avilas, Kiki's, Little Diner or my absolute favorite , CHOPES!! I was surprised that they would have the nerve to open here where we have the best Mexican food around . However, for the typical Tex-Mex, it was okay and after eating in Austin, Dallas and Houston, I can see why this place does well around the country. The menu is interesting and the food was tasty.. Not sure if we will go back as it is a long drive from the Westside and there are better options available, IMHO. read more

I was excited to try chuys! I've heard a lot about it and am glad I got a chance to sample the Mexican fare! The staff was very friendly- warm and welcoming. The chips and salsa and the queso were delicious and much needed after a long day! I ordered the chicken enchiladas which were great! The sauce was nice and spicy and the portion was a good size. Great flavors! The folks I was with had margaritas and martini and both were delicious. They can make you anything you request which is a great feature at a restaurant! Look forward to them coming to Colorado soon! read more

I've been to Chuy's twice. both times we've had excellent service with great and friendly servers! Vanessa, was our server when we went for the very first time and she was excellent! She was able to recommend the different salsas they have and brought us some particular ones that fit our preferences. I'm a vegetarian so I was happy to see I actually had some options to choose from! I ordered the veggie enchiladas and the veggie plate the second time we went. Both were really good! I recommend the chile rellanos (it came in the veggie plate). Really good, only reason I'm giving a 4 star review is because they don't have the unlimited salsa bar/tortillas like they did the very first time we went :( Very good, great place for Tex Mex. Prices are reasonable and they have a good happy hour! read more

Far from even average mexican food. Dry chicken, enchiladas with cold cheese inside, food that sat way to long under a heat lamp, and undrinkable ice tea seved in concentrated form. The best i can say is the chips were not that bad. Staff did not check in on the food status and a manager never stopped by. read more

Last evening my friends and I (17) of us meet for happy hour and sat out in patio. It was a wonderful place for friends to come together. 1st of all when we arrived immediately we were greeted by Jose the evening manager. Quickly he put together tables and chairs for our group. 2nd Vincent was assigned as our waiter. Fantastic individual, gave us great great service and always with a huge smile. If you're looking for authenticity, you came to the wrong place. I could have 'enjoyed' the same meal by driving to the closestTaco Bell (double gag). Nick the Manager might have been having a bad day when we were approached by him on the morning of Oct. 24th and he showed his emotions get the best of him. He raced out to our table outside in the furthest possible table away from the door to notify us that dogs were not allowed in the patio. Which first came as a surprise because I seriously thought it was a dog friendly place seeing that you promote folks to bring in a framed photograph of their dogs so you can have more decor for your bare wall. Well, saying he was rude and emotional would be an understatement. He informed me that we would have to leave the premise if we decide to have our dog because they were not allowed on the patio. I informed him that my "dog" is a service animal and I am allowed by Federal Law to have him inside or outside in the patio. He said I needed a vest or proof of my disability. At this point I began to record him since we are in a public place and it's legal for me to do so. I explained to him that my service animal was panting/hot and I had to remove the vest. Federal Law does not require the animal to wear a vest, I don't need to provide any kind of paperwork to prove I'm disabled and he needs to re-educate himself because he is misinformed and this could cause your establishment legal problems in the future. I informed him that I would have to go get the vest from the car and by the time I return I probably wouldn't want to eat there anymore. My service animal is well behaved, even after Nick raised his voice and compared to all the birds that poop all over your patio tables that people eat on, my service animal is nothing. I gave your establishment a chance and as I told Nick. I could either write an excellent review or a not so excellent one you decide. Apparently he didn't care. I suggested that he should google the information so he can be well informed next time. He said that he'll let it slide this time. Let it slide, let what slide? I have every right to have my service animal at my side especially when I am having a confrontation that might cause me to have a seizure. The young man Miguel that served us demonstrated leadership skills and de-escalated a situation immediately. By this point I completely lost my appetite and we were ready to leave and take my business meeting elsewhere. Miguel kindly asked us to stay and he would bring something special to re-spark our appetite. What a very thoughtful young man. Well composed and he deeply does care about customer satisfaction. Miguel saved the day! I told him that his customer service skills would soon have him managing a place, if that's what he wanted to do in life. He said he did. The service went from night to day. This young man saved your business a lot of grief. Thank you Miguel for your leadership skills and customer service and I will be calling ahead to make sure you are there to serve us next time. Please inform your current manager Nick about current Federal Laws. Thank you Chuy's I would consider being more dog friendly or at least service dog friendly. Fact: Federal law, The Americans with Disabilities Act, does not require any special identification of service animals. Some service dogs need special equipment to perform their jobs correctly, while others do not. read more

Conservatives NOT Welcome The Restaurant Manager asked a group of us to leave for NO reason. We were minding our own business NOT bothering anyone. When 2 individuals complained about our presence and lied about a situation that NEVER happened. One of the individuals was dressed like a man and carried themselves like a dude. We NEVER crossed words with them. They LIED and told management we called the woman a dude. Things are getting ridiculous with all this gender misguidedness. We weren't even given a chance to defend ourselves, we were asked to leave. We did NOTHING wrong If you're a conservative individual help spread the word and BOYCOTT this shameful place.
