I had my sons Birthday party here last night. Our host was Edith. Although everyone was very attentive and nice. Edith went above and beyond for us. She constantly came to our table and checked in on us. She helped with everything from getting our order to helping us clean off our table and pack left over pizza. I'm so glad we picked Chuck E Cheese to celebrate my little one. I love this location and I'll continue to come here even if I live 20 minutes away! You have a great staff/team. Things have really changed from when I was little. They definitely have less games. They have changed from tokens to point cards. Which depending on your family size could be a good thing. I don't remember the prices but we used an online special where 100 tokens or 100 minutes was only $20. Our pizza special also included 45 tokens. We were able to plug 145 tokens onto 6 cards which ended up being the perfect amount. The games... I won multiple games that should have given me a spew of tickets but gave me nothing. There were no employees on the floor to help me with this so didn't complain. There was tons of children who were climbing the games and again, no employees around to complain to. The pizza actually tasted better than I remember but I would definitely pass on their "stuffed crust" as it was not good. Also, they forgot to make a pizza for us... offered no extra pizza for free or extra free tokens... we just had to wait an extra hour to get it. read more

Not very happy I was there with my grandson and my son and they let these homeless people go inside or dirty and they even went into the restroom. This is a kid friendly place where your children can run around now with homeless people going in and out I think they need to be more careful with that. read more

I am rating this a one star I get it we are in quarantine but there is an over weight lady with black hair that does nothing but TALK ON THE PHONE & YELL at the cooks to hurry up by pounding on the table. Went to purchase the promotional deals. A pizza for 5 bucks sounds good. And 3 bucks for mozzarella sticks sounds like a deal. In reality it wasn't worth it . I upgraded the pizza to a stuffed crust pizza and it was the worst pizza I have ever tasted . The pizza for pick up doesn't taste like the pizza when you order it to eat there . This review is for the birthday event we had because the link to the survey doesn't work. Karina was our host that morning and she did a superb job at taking care of our group. Karina and the rest of the staff take great pride in what they do and it shows. They answered our questions, kept the place very clean, were professional, attentive, organized, and friendly. I'd give our host a 10 out of 10. This was our first time having a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's and it was one of the best kids birthday parties I've ever been to. Would highly recommend this place. We will visit more regularly because my kids have a blast every single time we visit. Our guests have made compliments that this Garden Grove location is much cleaner and bigger than the ones they've been to. Also, I used to visit this location 20-30 years ago as a kid and this place has gotten so much better in all aspects from what I remember. The food is also pretty good! This review is for this location's autism friendly sensory weekend hours. As a parent whose autistic child struggles with typical sensory environments, I just feel so grateful for this location. With reduced sounds/crowds/chaos, we were able to enjoy a really perfect space. Thank you so much. The fact that they offer a full menu makes us feel valued as customers and not second class in any way. The mascot was subdued but friendly, perfect for the kids. I strongly recommend paying by time so you don't have to stress about the annoying games that just suck points. My review is for the lunch "buffet" if you can call it that. So they have a lunch buffet that goes from 11am-2pm M-F. My son and I got there at 11:15am and were told the food wouldn't be ready for another 10-15 minutes. It wasn't ready until 11:45 and even then it was only 2 pizzas (sausage and pepperoni). Those disappeared almost immediately with all the people that were waiting. Then they brought out the salad which was a bowl of romaine lettuce and a bowl of iceberg lettuce and 3 types of salad dressings. That was it! They kept bringing out 2 pizzas at a time and people kept having to wait since they ran out so quickly. Never coming back for the lunch buffet. "AHH" Chuck E Cheese awakens from his nightmare with tremors and shakes. Two kids (my niece and nephew ages 4 and 5) had more energy to outrun and beat Chuck E Cheese with a bat all day. What's a better way to let these kids run wild for hours than at your local Chuck E Cheese. So many childhood memories in the ball pits, arcades, and slides have been made here. Yet, coming back to Chuck E Cheese as an Adult wasn't a spectacular experience. In fact, it was horrendous. Pros: Decided to buy 50 coins for $20. Typically a coin is equivalent to about 30cents. Each game costs about a coin. They've got a variety of games for PreK/toddlers to teenage groups to play, including their 3D simulation rides, and bumper cars. Some of the games are actually fun to play. +1 star. Free Wifi and beer on tap? Yes please! +1 star Cons: Walking in here, you'll be greeted with a waft of dirty socks and urine. Your carpet needs to be tossed out or deep cleaned. -1 star. We were happy to hop to several fun looking games. However, we were quickly disappointed and annoyed with so MANY BROKEN machines/arcades that just take your coins. -1 star Customer Service? Sorry that don't exist here. Good luck tracking down someone who could open the machine to fix it. I had to hunt/talk to 3 to 4 employees to have someone come out 20 minutes later. -1 star Chuck e Cheese does come out and they do toss a few tickets in the air. Disgusting place. The manager needs to be FIRED. Incident #1: We ordered our food using a coupon, a medium 1-topping pizza with two drinks. When my husband picked up the order we were surprised that we recieved a stuffed crust. We thought nothing of it, since the cashier was giving us great service. It wasn't until towards the end of our visit where my husbands sister realized we were charged $2+ for stuffed crust when we never requested it. The store had ran out of regular pizza and were NOT informing their guest, INSTEAD, just charging them for stuffed crust without their consent. She had to complain and it wasn't until then when we were given 500 tickets to comp for their shortage. They ripped off everyone of their orders and illegally surcharged them! Incident #2: I had boughten a balloon for my four month old since she was being fussy. I leave the baby with my husband and the manager Zoila came up to him to ask for the receipt for the balloon. Why didn't she ask me if she saw me multiple times with my baby and her balloon? And why did she decide to only target him if there were other parents with their kids and their balloons? The ONE thing that FRUSTRATES me, was after she left after talking with my husband, she went to the front of the entrance to talk to her coworker and ROLL HER EYES AND TELL HER, "Asshole thinks I'm an idiot? I know he didn't pay for that balloon" (I am right in front next to her in line to add more time on my sons play card) If Zoila has the damn right to talk about customers like that with other co workers, I can't imagine the gossip she does about her own employees. WHAT A GREAT EXAMPLE SHE SETS. If HR is not informed and contacted about this situation. I will personally make sure the CEO is informed and take legal action. She wants to disrespect my husband for my $2 purchase because she assumes HE didn't pay? But it should be ok for her surcharge EVERY CUSTOMER THAT DAY FOR STUFFED CRUST PIZZA WHEN IT WAS THE STORES FAULT FOR BEING SHORT. I've worked in management for over 5+ years. I've taken HR classes and and currently taking courses for business. My husband deserves an apology. This is a very unfortunate situation right now. I didn't even make it through the door to get the worst service from chuckee cheese ever! To keep in mind my teenage yrs I was actually working for chuckee cheese and managed it as well. My wife and I usually go to the one on Edward's with our kids but tonight we met halfways from my shop to this location. This was our 2nd Monday in a row here also. We were at the entrance and was awaiting patiently to get in but chuckee was doing his ticket giveaway. I was OK with it and waiting for the entire dance and all. It was over and 3 families exited on the check in girl and said we arent waiting for you. So she closed it.. While the kids are all cleared up and I asked her... Can we go in finally to spend money since you guys will be closed soon. She then rolled her eyes and said if you don't like it here and wait... Take your money and spend it else where! I was really shocked and asked for management. Talked to management and explained I won't be at this location again! Lost my business here for sure and I will go to another location. Best thing about this Chuck E Cheese are the bumper cars! Also, this is Chuck E Cheese so of course it's busy and loud. During peak hours parking is difficult and the wait might be long for service for food or the employee to work the bumper cars. Overall great fun and memories :) read more

This is our local Chuck E Cheese. We have been going here for years for our kids' birthday parties because it is easy to plan, pretty affordable, and fun for the kids. The really best thing is that there is no clean up! We just celebrated our youngest's 5th birthday party. The parents at the party loved that I planned the party at 10 am so that it was pretty empty and not full of big kids. Our party basically had the place to ourselves. The manager, Veronica, was awesome! She was so accommodating and helpful. She gave us the best deal that would give us the most tokens for the party. She and her staff kept checking in on us to see how we were doing. The food came on time. They kept the pitchers full and helped serve the cake. The young lady at the prize counter was also very sweet to our party and very patient with the young guests. Everyone at the party had an excellent time. I've lived in the area for over 15 years and I hate Chuck E. Cheese as it is but this location is by far the worse. Walking in, the signs on the outside we're half hung and the smell is disgusting. It smells like cheese, feet and butt. It has a nasty musty smell and everything just feels dirty. The games are always broken or needing more tickets. The restroom is filthy. The tickets munchers are always broken and the tables are all sticky. Granted, the place is for kids but walking out makes me want to take a bath and it's always felt like that. We visit that place yesterday. People don't clean the tables they let us with the trash there for a while. Even people taking your orders they look mad they answer us with attitude. We order a birthday cake and the cashier told us that making cakes is not their priority instead it's their pizzas. That we have to remind them after 30 minutes. Then we ask if the mouse can say happy birthday for the child on her birthday. They said in 20 minutes. Then we wait with the cake there and all the kids. I've grown up just down the street from a Chuck E Cheese but cannot recollect any bad memories as a child. This is the sole reason that I will keep returning to this establishment. I know my kids love coming here and their happiness is what matters. I've come here for a few kid birthdays and the employee who is in charge of rallying the kids and getting them amped for Chuck E deserves a pay raise. She is always hoarse from all of the yelling and encouragement for the party goers. The mouse comes out and all sorts of random kids that are not part of the birthday party typically end up wandering over to dance or take pictures. I've even witnessed a kid kicking him and no one batted an eye. Somehow the kids seem more amped up here than at a Shakey's or Dave & Busters. Just a note, nothing related to their star rating. There are definitely more games than any other play area that I have been to. The games are great because they span all ages. Even while it is packed, I haven't seen anyone wait for a game because there's always something available and well...kids have short term memory and little patience. :D On to the bad. The food is not so great. The pizza is okay; it tastes like it might be frozen and baked. The wings are possibly boiled. The sauce wouldn't stick to the wings and it had a odd chewiness to it. The celery was oddly fresh. I'm not sure if they offer dessert because they allow party goers to bring in their own cake / cupcakes. Their ticket redemption is a joke. You can spend a good arm and a leg and walk away with a 50 cent bag of candy. They're VERY strict about the amount that you redeem and they round down. My son's 7 year old daycare buddy went with a 100+ something ticket. After she picked what she wanted, there was a 8 ticket balance and the employee told her that she didn't have any more. There were 10 ticket items that probably cost Chuck E Cheese half a penny. Granted...she didn't know that she had been nickel and dimed but it leaves a stink in my book. At least Dave & Buster's has a running total so you don't ever lose any tickets. On to the safety! They stamp you when you come and your kids. It's some sort of black light ink to make sure you don't walk out with a kid that isn't stamped with your same number. I once met my daycare who was already there and the employee would not let me take my son since he had a different number. Needless to say, I was a bit cheesed but at least in that 2 minute stall, I appreciated the thought behind it. And now I wish I could bring in my college transcripts to get the same experience but apparently I'm too old or something. -_- Anyway, fortunately for me, I have 3 lovely nephews that can assist me in reliving my childhood without looking like a creep! :D We come here ever so often (about 2 times a year), and I gotta admit that it is slowly, but surely getting a bit better. Sadly, it is still in a "not-so-great" area but it's not too terrible. The parking is a pain, with few vacancies and compact spaces. The staff here is so-so. I must say that some of them are straight out inappropriate but you kind of expect it in a place like this. As far as the food...the pizza is really bad. Greasy and with no flavor. And to add insult to injury it is really expensive! The wings are okay, but the salad bar is the best! You know, when the staff takes the time to freshen it up. Today I went for the first time with friends in two years. I'm not sure if its because we were older or not but it was not as fun as it used to be. I don't know maybe its because they took out the whole section of games that used to be near the entrance, and also they took out the skee ball machines in the back near the restroom. The place looks really empty this made me really sad. Also tickets are now harder to obtain 2 years ago the average ticket you win was 7 now the average ticket is 3 tickets. Not to mention the prizes are lower quality than they used to be. he higher prizes seem to become harder to obtain. I give this place 3 stars because me and my friends did enjoy some of the games they had to offer and because the place reminded me of childhood memories. I went today to Chuck E Cheese and i was shocked with the customer service at this establishment. I usually go to the one in Downey because its closer to me but for my nieces birthday we went to this one. I have to say hands downs the best service ive had ever at Chuck E Cheese. I want to get a special acknowledgement to Zoila the manager here. Zoila was so amazing and so humble. I went to purchase a card so my daughter could play, ahead of me was this couple arguing with her about something that "supposedly was missing in there order". Zoila maintain her calmness and acted very professional even though the couple weren't . In the end the couple never added what was supposedly missing. As soon as it was my turn she acted the same way very professional and polite. I was shocked to see how calm she was after the other couple were rude to her. I applaud her behavior. She attended me with no problem. I manage to get a playing card and was nice to help with a coupon discount. As my niece party was almost to an end i had told Zoila about the cake we needed even though she wasnt the cashier that charge us but she was nice enough to made sure we received it. Karina another worker brought us the cake and was also very polite. Another person i would like to give credit to. I had asked her if she had candles and responded very politely that they did and how many we needed and if we wanted a specific color. Zoila when she saw the caked arrived had asked me if we wanted Chuck E to sing for my niece. Let me just say this was a little get together we had at one of the regular tables. We didnt book a party here so we werent expecting anything above and beyond. Zoila went out of her way and made sure we had Chuck E come and sing. Karina was kind enough to to sing along. I have to say this was the most pleasant surprise we ever had. Zoila and Karina went above and beyond and did anything to make us feel welcomed. It was the first time i felt that a Chuck E. Cheese was very organized with there staff and polite! Ive never had such amazing customer service like today at this Chuck E Cheese.
