    Half order of Calamari Fingers
    Malisa R.

Love the name! So stinking cute! Stumbled on this restaurant because my mom wanted some fresh fish. I was surprised that it was walking distance. We still drove over. The parking lot was full, which is always a good sign that the restaurant is good especially on a weeknight. Once we were seated, our server came to greet us. We started off with a 1/2 order of calamari. So good! I ordered the chubby trout which is trout stuffed with shrimp and stuffing. My mom ordered the fried perch. For dessert, we ordered a piece of cake carrot to go. Comes with ice cream too. Would go back especially if I'm in the area.

This was the sushi role that the person beside me had. It's the Chef Gil Roll.

What a wonderful experience and a great restaurant with delicious looking sushi that I didn't eat but wonderful lake perch that I did have was great. Highly suggested. If you're in the area, check it out.

This was going to be my dinner spot even though my hotel has a restaurant because I like to experience local restaurants. The place is very popular because it filled up fast. The decor is like a western theme with wagon wheel lights, barn door and lots of wood. They have an outdoor patio. Small bar and a dining room. My server was very friendly and we had a nice conversation because she had family in Lake Geneva Wi. I wad order a whisky old fashioned sour forgetting I was in IN and not WI so I wasn't expecting very much but to my surprise it was very good. I would order the queen prime rib rare with mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. The prime rib on its own was tender but bland on the dry rub probably because most of the clientele was older people. The au jus was bland once again with no big beef flavor. The creamy horseradish sauce was amazing and really delicious which made up for all the blandness. The sautéed vegetables were fresh with carrots, cauliflower, green beans and peppers. The mashed potatoes were lumpy skin on. Over it was fresh food, good drink and great service.

Signature Grilled Chicken Salad You can swap chicken for ahi tuna for an up charge. I can't do cheese, but normally it comes with cheese.

Very nice. Walkable from the hotels, but honestly a bit pricy for the area. Online has a gluten free, but otherwise no real indication for food sensitivities on menu. They are in the middle of changing their menu. The smoked prime rib is no longer smoked it is just roasted. They do mention this when you sit down, but just a heads up. Ambiance is very nice. I enjoyed it. Clean and friendly staff. You can sit at the high tops outs while you wait and they have a limited menu with full bar drinks that you can order from while you wait.

Crazy snowy night. Ordered carry out dinner to eat in the hotel room. We were feeding 3 people. The salmon was a nice piece of fish and cooked well. Mashed potatoes with coleslaw. $28 was a little steep in my opinion. My son ordered the fried perch. My daughter had a couple of good sized rolls...overall a good experience. Would like to dine in next time. The place was packed.

Oh my god. Let me start off by saying, best sushi ever. My house burned down in LA and ever since I came to Michigan, no sushi has ever been quite the same. Then, one day, I came to this place. First of all, waitress was so nice! She was also really pretty and kind. We got our meal in a short amount of time. I had the cobra roll! (100% recommend!) absolutely amazing. Sauce was so delicious. They gave us a large amount of wasabi which made me SO happy! I love wasabi. Inside of the store, very welcoming! And Beautiful! The sushi tasted like heaven in general. I also loved the fries. Best food ever, literally the best place in Michigan!!! And to the amazing waitress, thank you! Your service was absolutely amazing!

This restaurant punches above its weight gastronomically. They nail the small details, and you can tell the food is made with love. I highly recommend the soup. The service was fantastic, the ambiance is unique and authentic, and the food is fresh, well prepared, seasoned properly, and delicious.

Came here during a work trip. Fantastic environment. Came here on a Monday evening and the place was super packed and the service team was hustling all night. I had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and my colleague has the tuna salad. Absolutely fantastic! I decided to go back here a few days later to get the sushi. Also really really great. I will for sure come back here once I'm in town again

Started out by ordering on their mobile app. It was easy to use and once you make your initial order you can pick which sides you want. We ordered the Fried Mess'O Perch with loaded mashed potatoes, house Veggies and their Mango Salmon with baked potato, Coleslaw. The pick-up time was 30-35 min. After you place your order. So, I get there right on time pull into the reserved parking spot right up front and called in to let them know I was there to pick-up my prepaid order. To my surprise they didn't even have an order in my name!! WHAT! So after 10 min. Of back and forth (since I paid with Apple Pay) they finally found my order and was told it would be another 30-35 min. I waited and waited and finally 45 min. later I got our order and headed home. The Mango Salmon and baked potato was superb with a lot of flavor nice portions and lg. baked potato. The fried perch was tough and chewy and very tiny strips with way too much breading. So much you couldn't taste the perch. The loaded mashed potatoes were nothing to write home about. The House Veggies were the best part of the entree. So all in all after paying $50 for these two entrees we decided there are better establishments we frequent that are much better and cheaper. Say-la-Vee Chubby Trout you had your chance!

Fantastic lunch spot right off Rt 90! The Prime Rib Tacos were amazing, and Tiffany was a great server. We loved it so much. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly good food. Prime rib has the fat off which was great. Loud and rowdy. Fun for most.

I came in to Smoking Fatty's with my family back in July for my birthday and ordered myself a pound…read moreof brisket--both lean and fatty cuts. I've been smoking meats myself for well over a decade, so I was honestly pretty disappointed by what I got. The brisket had clearly been rewarmed in some kind of liquid that tasted heavily of liquid smoke. There was no rendered fat or tallow on the surface--just a watery "broth" that left the meat bland. The bark was decent, but it got soft from sitting in the liquid. The flat wasn't tough, but definitely wasn't tender either. It needed more time on the smoker to break down the collagen. The real issue was with the point slices. What I got had nearly ¾ inch of solid fat left on it--should've been trimmed better--and it was sliced way too thin, thinner than a wood pencil. That cut should be served thick to showcase the richness, not shaved like deli meat. I'm not the type to normally complain to my waitress, but she cleared nearly half a pound of brisket off my plate without asking a single question, which surprised me. I know stuff happens and not every cook is perfect. But this was pretty bad for a bbq joint owned by a company with multiple restaurants here in Elkhart.

The service was fantastic, even made a few jokes. The place is beautiful and the views are nice. Focaccia - $13 - I asked if this was house made bread, and they said yes, so I went with this over the Burrata appetizer. The bread was fantastic, and the whipped ricotta was delicious. It's simple but very good. 5/5 stars. Lobster Bisque - $15 - Good flavor, decent amount of lobster. I was pleasantly surprised how good this was. 5/5 stars. Cascade Salad - $9 or $14 - This was pretty good as well. A different family member ordered this and I was also pleasantly surprised again. It ALMOST makes me want to order it (if they didn't have lobster bisque). 5/5 stars. 16oz Ribeye with Black Truffle Butter - $78 + $4 - The sear was perfect, the medium rare cook was spot on, and the flavor couldn't be better (well, almost, because my Black Truffle Butter was more like wine butter). Here's my gripe, if you put something was Black Truffle Butter why on earth is there wine?! My body can't process alcohol (which is why I don't drink), and when I taste uncooked alcohol, all I taste is alcohol. So, this was my only gripe. I couldn't taste any truffle, just alcohol. I had to switch with my husband for parts of his New York Strip, and he took the parts of my steak that had the truffle butter. 5/5 stars, but the Truffle Butter 0/5 stars. 14oz New York Strip - $69 - Perfect sear, cook, and flavor. Normally, I'm not a bread crumb topping person, but it works here. 5/5 stars. Mashed Potato - $12 - These are just typical steakhouse mashed potatoes. Smooth and good, you couldn't make them better, but they get outshined by all the other dishes. 5/5 stars. Creme Brulee - $9 - This was to die for. Whatever cream they use is so good. One of the best creme brulees you could ever get. 5/5 stars. I apologize for the lack of picture, apparently I was so excited that I just forgot to take one. This place is one of the best restaurants in Indiana. You need to go here. Just don't get the truffle butter, unless you like alcohol. Everything else is amazing.
