Staff are nice, coffee is how you'd expect it. The gaming attraction and lounge area was my main reason for coming, however with heavy advertisements saying this is complimentary I do believe the advertisements should mention you cannot sit in the lounge without being a customer. Being in the mood for meeting new people with similar hobbies shouldn't require also being in the mood for coffee or or a drink. Lounge is spacious and there is a quiet atmosphere with slight music and a lot of smiles. Do make it more noticable that it's a requirement to pay! read more

I always like to get coffee here. Usually get great service. Today was a different story. The barista does not like me and gave me an attitude even though I just asked for a sugar free peanut butter cup latte. I was nice to her and didn't say anything else. Will not stop me from coming in, but service people should always try to be nice to customers no matter how they feel about you. 9/7/2025 Wanted to add that I changed my review today to 5 stars after speaking to the owner. The place stunk like a mop bucket. I went when there was no line. The order was very basic- ice coffee and a whole milk latte. The staff proceeded to stand around and have side conversations and literally eat food with their hands. They did not wash their hands before making other orders. Even though I was standing by the bar waiting for about 10 minutes they seemed oblivious. At one point another off duty staff came in wearing pajamas and went behind the counter to make themselves a drink and chat. I love this adorable, dorky little cafe (made for gamers and Star Wars/sci-fi fans, it seems). With about a dozen latte flavors and a few pastry options, they've got something for everyone. This place was so cute! They had a great selection of drinks and special drinks as well. Total 90s vibe. They roast their own coffee and yes it was really good. We had two of the special lattes and bought some snacks and hung out in the game room. The game room had many board games, and also a row of TVs with a bunch of different game systems attached to them. We stayed for a while and enjoyed ourselves. The barista was very nice and our drinks came out quickly and nice and hot. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back! read more

Adorable nerdy spot! Free Pac Man. Lots of games both video and board games. They have a massive gaming area. Fun place to hang, game and snack or sip. The coffee roast smelled heavenly. One of the strongest cold brews I've ever had Nothing better than a strong coffee first thing in the morning on a Monday. I liked the area too, did a quick walk around with my dog & coffee in hand. The coffee here is very good. Love the house bourbon. I will unfortunately not return. I have been here several times and each time I find the owner rude and condescending. While on my trip home in September we swung by Chubby Dog Coffee. I got a Iced peanut butter cup latte and my husband got the hot blueberry muffin latte. They were both very tasty. The menu was pretty large and had a great range of tasty flavors. We also saw a sign for Game night on Thursday if we had still been in town by then we would have absolutely checked it out. We've been coming here since the shop opened. They have really Fresh beans and we like their medium roast a lot. This was my first time playing with the video game with the fam. We usually just buy a bag of beans and a cup to go since we didn't have time to spare. It was a nice afternoon to take a walk at the Putnam River Trail nearby and come to the coffee shop. We appreciate the effort and heart the owner put into this place to decorate as well. They've just added a sweets section but we haven't tried yet, will update my review when we do so. read more

First visit since ownership changed as I rarely venture into Putnam anymore. I was not disappointed. There are few places to get "kickass" coffee and espresso in this area. Chubby Dog Coffee is an oasis in a caffeine desert. Cory the barista was very accommodating and made great recommendations. I usually don't like super sweet lattes but his Drunken Chai Latte was like eating a cupcake. So good. My picky eater 12 year old loved it and declared it better than hot chocolate! Will definitely revisit when I'm in the area. Made the rest of the work day manageable! read more
