Katie was the best server!!! Food was super delicious!! Beef soooo... tender!! 1000% recommend!

It's still an AYCE, but only the silver level Chubby Cattle experience. The variety is pretty limited, and if you're going for value, you'll probably end up ordering the same two or three items over and over. There's also less variety in the in-between stuff to break up all the wagyu, which makes the meal feel a little repetitive. I didn't think this location was that good overall, but at the end of the day, it's still Chubby Cattle. Service: Standard and efficient Food/Drinks: Limited variety, repetitive ordering, less balance outside of the meats Ambiance: Standard Chubby Cattle but loud music and smoky 6/10 Still Chubby Cattle, but this location feels more limited than expected read more

Celebrated my sisters' birthday here since they were visiting and not only the quality of meat was great, the service and hospitality as well! They gave my sisters their own plushie and their own cake. Fast service and such a fun way to celebrate. read more

Amazing service, good quality meats, the vibes were good. Very tentative waitstaff. Definitely would come again. read more

Let's start off with Amazing service! Showed us the techniques on how to grill our meat the best, made conversation seemless & gave insight clearly on what's good. Now the Meats, the meets were MELT IN YOUR MOUTH, the only complaint would be the small serving but you could just spam the meats. The Tom-yum was delicious and a must get! The ambiance was classy and looks edgy, pretty cool if you ask me . Only complaint is they could use better air conditioning it was hot in there but a must visit for AYCE BBQ fans. read more

First off. The playlist was fire! The ambiance was great off the bat. We made a reservation on Yelp 45 min before. We got there 15 min early and they seated us right away. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Service was quick. They told us how it worked and left us an iPad to order. You can order 6 things at a time and have 70 min to order as much as you want. The meats were great quality. The portion sizes were perfect. We've gone to other places and there are so many options and they give you so many pieces that you can't try too many people its too much. We tried practically every meat and got seconds on our favorites. We really enjoyed the experience. Staff was the highlight. We will definitely be coming again. read more

Not sure why people ranting and raving about Chubby Cattle BBQ. With all the hypes, we came here to check it out. This location only have one set menu of $66 for nonmembers and $5.00 off each for members (you and 1 guess.). The wagyu cuts of meat was so, so. The quality is not there at all. Once you are seated, they will bring an automatic variety of special meat tray, and you pick additional dishes. The veggies selection is quite limited. King oyster mushrooms and thinly sliced zucchini and lettuce. That was the extend of vegetables. Re-fill or new selections on a tablet ands the servers will bring it out to your table. Unlike other BBQ place, the dipping sauces were pretty bland. Some brown sauce with sesame seeds, light soy sauce, dry rub spices and salt&pepper. You 70 minutes to order and eat, after that they will take the table away so you cannot order any additional items and they will kick you out if you stayed longer than 90 mins. I wonder if the so, so quality of meat is related to this location only. Can't bring myself to go to another locations to see if the meat quality is better and waste more money and calories. It can get quite smoky when the restaurant is full. read more

One of the smaller Chubby Cattle locations with one menu option. Loved that the handrolls were bite sized and not too full of rice. As soon as you are seated they bring out a sample of almost all of their premium meats. Quality here is consistent with other locations. Matcha ice cream at the end. This location is good for more casual meals. Limited parking. Order on the iPad per usual. We enjoyed their canned Chubby Cattle sake! We came for fathers day and they had a free gifts for fathers and we won $10 off our meal! read more

Honestly, the food here is a total vibe. If you're a fan of high-end beef, you're going to be obsessed. That A5 Wagyu is the real deal--it's so marbled and buttery that it basically dissolves as soon as you eat it. Even the non-Wagyu stuff is super solid. The brisket and short ribs are sliced perfectly thin, and you can tell the meat is high-quality because it doesn't even need a ton of sauce to taste amazing. Also, don't sleep on the shrimp and the spicy miso broth if you're doing the hot pot side of things--it adds such a good kick to everything. It's definitely a "treat yourself" kind of meal, but for the amount of top-tier meat you get, it's worth the food coma. Beyond the food, the service really made the night. Despite how busy the floor was, our server was incredibly attentive, constantly swapping out our grill plate before we even had to ask and keeping the orders flying. They really know how to manage the 90-minute window so you never feel rushed or left waiting for your next round. Expensive? Yes. Worth every penny for the quality and the vibes? 100%. read more

Met up with my work bestie for AYCE WAGYU!! What a feast! Left with our mouths full and belly even fuller!! We cleaned house and then some. They have a set menu and then you order, order, order, and order. Love the A5 choices. The table was full of laughter and good vibes!! Chubby, you did it again :) read more

Just stopped by on a whim after some Xmas shopping with the crew and this place kind of blew my mind a little. The service is great, and they give you a tablet to order from as you need. I love this idea because other places like Thirsty Cow make you wait for a server to get to you, which can potentially slow down the night a ton. The quality of the meat here is amazing, and the fact that they have sushi is incredible. Our server was super sweet, and we'll definitely be back here. read more

Chubby Cattle - Great meat! Great service! - Barbeque Near Me - Rosemead, California

I absolutely loved my time here at chubby cattle! The meat was soft and flavorful, and the sushi was fresh and fatty. They have a lot of options for meat and I was excited to try them all even though I didn't know what I was eating half the time haha. I would recommend saving the marinated meat until the very last round since my boyfriend and I were really struggling to fit more food in our belly since it was more heavy. I wish they had more veggies though and steamed egg as an option, but since the focus is the meat I can't complain! My boyfriend and I made a reservation just an hour before for 6:30pm, and when we got there it was busy but no one was waiting outside for a table. There were two servers running around the entire restaurant so although service was a bit slow, it was completely fine since I could tell they were trying their best to serve everyone. Would definitely recommend trying this place! read more

If there will ever be a place I miss, it might be Chubby Cattle in Monterey Park. But if there is service I'll ever miss, it will be the excellent service from the waitstaff at Chubby Cattle especially from our favorite waitress/hostess Ady. She is consummately the warmest person I've met who is constantly running around and serving every table around her to try to make everyone's experience exceptional and memorable. She is the loudest during birthdays, the one who always shouts when she sees customers coming in to sit down, and always smiling behind her mask no matter how busy the restaurant is buzzing. Aside from the service, the food is still exceptional. Earlier last year, they were hit with a bit of bad PR, but since then the restaurant is exceptionally clean and their food quality remains unmatched. The food is delicious, our favorite being the ootoro (both the A5 Miyazaki and the regular m9). The cuts of beef here are exceptional, though the Wagyu ribeye while juicy can be a bit tougher. What's still amazing is since we've been here so many times, the appetizer menu continues to evolve. Whenever we come into Chubby we are always impressed that the menu contains both old favorites like the truffle fries and newer items like Wagyu beef tendon stew. Their dessert menu has recently expanded to include egg tarts from Patisserie Too a small Alhambra business that they prominently feature along new matcha crepe cake. Anyways, it's so unfortunate we are moving out because we enjoy this restaurant so much, but when we're in town we will come back to our second home at Chubby Cattle. Viva la Chubby and thank you Ady and staff for your lovely service and taking care of us these years. read more

Chubby Cattle was AMAZING!! The food was seriously SO GOOD. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and delicious, and there were so many options to choose from. The restaurant had such a fun, modern, and comfortable vibe. It felt like a great place to go with friends or family, and the whole experience was really enjoyable. The service was AMAZING too! Everyone was super friendly, helpful, and attentive. Mina and Andy were good server. They made sure everything was going well and made the experience even better. Honestly, Chubby Cattle is a 10/10. I had such a great experience at Chubby Cattle in Rosemead honestly one of the best hot pot spots I've been to in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, fast, and super attentive. The whole vibe is clean, bougie, and everything feels fresh and high-quality. The broths were rich and flavorful, and the ingredients were extremely fresh the meats, seafood, veggies, noodles, everything. You can really taste the difference. The wagyu and premium meats literally melted in my mouth. The dipping sauces and seasonings were on point too, so you can customize everything exactly how you like it. I also loved how everything came out quickly, well-portioned, and beautifully presented. The staff checked on us often without hovering, and they made sure we had a great experience the entire time. We left full, happy, and wanting to come back again. If you want great food, great service, and a fun dining experience, Chubby Cattle in Rosemead is 100% worth it. Highly recommend! read more

Honestly a great experience! I went here because my friend was visiting. We made reservations for 6:30 pm and our table was ready at 6:25. They have ample parking here so it shouldn't be that hard to find a spot. They start us out with a play of different cuts of wagyu. You can order 6 things at a time and you can only order every 2 mins. I honestly really enjoyed their sushi items as the quality was really good and had a lot of flavor. My favorite seafood was definitely the salmon carpaccio. As for the meats, I didn't know the cubed ones had seasoning but it was still good! My favorite was the beef tongue as it had a great chew and a good amount of fate surrounding the meat to have a great texture and flavor profile. The lemon and wasabi were great touches! Honestly, I really enjoyed how they had tomatoes with sugar as I used it as a palate cleanser. I truly recommend this place as the service was really great! PS. Ice cream is SOOOO cute and the ube is the perfect way to end the dinner. read more

I don't even know where to start. This place was everything! It's lik kbbq but also with japanese food. Came here with fam to celebrate bdays and it was so good. Unfortunately idk the names of any of the meats that we got but you can't go wrong bc everything was so good. First of all it's an all you can eat - what beats that? And everything was delish. There's a little arcade w games at the front which was fun esp for the kids but we didn't have to wait too long bc we had a res. I started with the milk tea ofc and it was so good then got the banchan - i specifically loved the seaweed salad and i love how they had so many sauces and you can make your own. We got sushi as well which was pretty good but the meats were def my fav. There's sashimi was yummy and I liked the hand roll that I got. We also got the lobster roll which was good but had uni on it which I don't love. They also had a miso soup dispenser which was amazing and rice with furikake as a topping (my fav!!) they had Wagyu sliders which were also reallyyyy good. Basically everything was good lol. we ended with the matcha mochi which was a great dessert. Def wanna come back read more

Wow I found a top favorite for kbbq. This place is pretty small. Seating is limited and parking can get tough. My friend and I went during lunch so we did not have to wait much. We got the lunch special and it was worth every penny! The meats were so good, and flavorful. You order everything on an iPad They do have a time limit and I felt like if they didn't I would keep eating. Service was great! The lady helping us was super kind. I think they expect you to keep track of time yourself because once our time was up we couldn't order anymore. read more
