Its super tender and the thin cuts make it hard to mess up the grilling (and saves time). So many options and even have pallet cleansers. Every cut was very tender and decently marbled, but the tongue was my favorite. Really good salmon. Wasabi had a very refreshing flavor. Service: fast, clean, and attentive. As soon as we order, the food comes out. When we're done with a plate, they quickly rotate it out. It feels like theyre trying to help us make the most of our time (strict 90 min). Theyre good about setting an expectation on what the dining experience will be like so it doesnt catch you off guard. 2 sets of tongs was really useful. They give nice grilling tips, too (customer cooks) and frequently changed out our grills. Difficult to hear when server was showing the cuts, but I liked there was no forced small talk. Dad and mom approved food and service :,) Glad I brought the parents here today - this location is much more well-ventilated and less crowded compared to MP. I also like the parking situation better here as it's an open space while MP can be a bit tight with their underground parking. MP does seem to have more options on their menu for both food and drinks. There is also the option for tiers, while here there's only one set menu. $66 is worth it for this menu, imo. Got to try all meats (except the M9 Wagyu Chuck Roll, pork belly, and regular shrimp) with multiple rounds of our faves e.g. Wagyu brisket, top blade, beef tongue, oyster mushroom, and salmon carpaccio (wasabi hit hardddd). Shout out to the wagyu tripe which had a bit of a kick and liver which my mom liked. Would've liked to try the Prime Beef Tongue but it wasn't available. I read online that people often wait over three hours for this place, but my friends and I went on a Wednesday and were seated instantly at Chubby Cattle. Each order TAKES FOREVER, and this includes just asking for basic sauces/sides. Quality - I find it odd that they serve the beef tartare with pringles. Yes, Pringles chips. Our entire family are in town to celebrate our mom birthday and called this Chubby Cattle location very last minute to make reservation for party of 7 to celebrate my mom's bday. Emma picked up the phone was very accommodated in spite of the last minute reservation on a very busy Friday nite. We went in and got sat down very quickly. All staffs are very helpful and one of the waiter (forgot to ask his name) actually helped my parents to cook as they are the first time there and not too sure what to do. Emma cakes checked on us and explained to us the pricing and time limit. The food was really good and service was excellent, and we didn't receive this kind of service in the Chinese restaurant for a very long time. Chubby Cattle might be the best all you can eat wagyu bbq restaurant in SGV. I've been to a lot of ayce bbq spots, and I have to say that it's definitely up there! The quality of the meat is on point and there's a ton of options to choose from Not only do they have premium meats, but they also have amazingly fresh seafood options too I got there around 5pm and there was no wait, and was seated right away. Parking can get a bit cramp during prime time so highly suggest you come a bit earlier to beat the crowd, especially on the weekend. Heads up, the Rosemead location offers a limited selection; however, the shorter wait time makes this location a great alternative if you want to skip the longer wait time from the MPK and Rowland Height location. In addition, the servers here are efficient and quick to get your food out! Faster than we can keep up with scarfing down the food. Overall, I highly recommended! My buddy had his heart set on lamb chops, and this location doesn't have it. He literally brought his own seasoning for it and everything! I didn't like the 1 option thing either. I have been to chubby cattle Little Tokyo and it was a really great experience, but I can't say the same for the location at Rosemead. There was only two people doing service for the whole place. They don't have the different tiers for meat selection. They also don't have drinks that are included which would be fine if the water was drinkable, but it literally had such a terrible taste. The service, because they only had two servers was really slow. The guy with glasses was great though. The ambiance is smoky to say the least and the music was like I was at a rave and having a bad trip.
