The food is not consistent. One time good one time bad and so on. It's just not as good as others around it with similar food options.

This was my first time visiting their new location. What an awesome addition to Htown! I didn't check out the inside but assume it's quite nice from how great the building looks and how nice their outdoor patio is. This go around we just had drinks but know from previous stops to their old location the food was pretty good. Nice inside and parking situation is awful. Nice bar and decent drinks with extra cute WV bar stools. We were a medium group and we were placed at a very wide table, made sharing difficult and hearing required a scream or two. Food tried to hard to be upscale bar food. Pizza was blah for 17$ Brussel sprouts were overcooked and mushy. Bison burger was lean and okay. Some sandwiches had bread overload buns and drink refills were hard to come by. Too expensive for what it is. Might be nice to sit up top on outside deck for a beer or two, just not excited about the food. Plan on at minimum 21$ a person and we were there for lunch. read more

I came here for brunch with my boyfriend. We both got the crab cake Benedict and a bloody mary. The food could have been hotter but the eggs were cooked perfectly and my fries were seasoned well. It was very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Nice decor and atmosphere. We've ordered food from here before. The bison burger is my favorite. I would skip the grouper sandwich though... there was barely any sauce on mine and it was very dry. read more

My favorite is the pizza ... and all the TV's ... . you can see the cooks chefing from the waitress station where the waitresses pay your bill . Easily the best pizza in town and always a good pick. The atmosphere is a great one. Very welcoming. Really good red wine that I mistakenly forgot name. Wife got a Kiwada drink and it was delicious. Emily the server is the best I've had serve me in a while. We grilled her on all the foods and she was such a good sport. Tuna, Gouda Mac and cheese, and sweet potato fries were on point. Wife got sweet potato wedges with Brussels sprouts and tuna. Both meals were really good. Prices not bad. Loved the music in the restaurant. Can't say enough about how good Emily was! OMG. I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. Great selection on the menu. We liked some many things that we didn't know where to start. The Greek salad was good. The lettuce was fresh and crisp. The homemade dressing was good too. I enjoyed the crab cake sandwich. It was topped with a slaw mixture and pineapple. I wasn't sure about combination of flavors but it works! My husband had the coal coal smoked wings. He definitely loved them. I rarely review restaurants, but I feel compelled because this was truly a bad experience and honestly, I hope they read this and try to improve. It has a lot of promise but really didn't deliver. And it wasn't cheap. I am experiencing an unsettled stomach and regretting our dinner as I write this. There were not many people there - a slow Friday night for whatever reason, so the service was fine. Nice server. I'm going to keep this short and sweet. Positives: * Salmon was cooked well and tasted good. * The bread was hot and fresh baked and tasted good as well. * Server was nice Negatives: * The tap water tasted so gross that I couldn't drink it even though I was thirsty * The wine was not cheap and was way underpoured - a small amount for the price. And I order wine often, so I have lots of other experiences to compare to. They should measure and it should be at least 6 oz. * Shaved brussel sprouts "with" bacon were more bacon than brussel sprouts. It was kid of gross when you're expecting veggies. * Collard greens had dirt in them (you know that gritty stuff that you can hear inside your head when you teeth bite down on it) and lots of bacon or ham. I knew to expect some meat but the fact that every "vegetable" I ordered had bacon in it was disappointing. * Mashed potatoes were not a very nice consistency - a bit gummy. Not terrible, but not very pleasant and also not particularly hot * Gouda mac and cheese sounded promising, but it was kind of gummy and that was probably because it wasn't fresh and hot enough. I only had a few bites, but I feel like I have a rock in my belly. * They asked my husband how he wanted his salmon cooked (and I don't mean like "blackened" or "grilled", but as in "medium" or "Medium rare", etc). It's not a crime, but it does show that they don't understand how to cook fish. there's not more than one proper doneness for salmon. There's only one right way, unless we're talking sushi. And having ordered salmon probably hundreds of times, I can only recall maybe one other instance of being asked that quesiton. In any case, it turned out quite well, but an odd question and made us nervous having to try to describe to the restaurant how salmon should be cooked. * We were there between 8:30 and 9:45. They close at 10. Staff was cleaning up the restaurant all around us by about 9pm. It was not a pleasant dining atmosphere in that regard. I always wish people well and restaurants in particular are a tough business. I'm posting this honestly hoping that management will take heed. read more

My side salad was 6 pieces of spinach leaves, and my wife's "medium well" salmon was rare at best. Not an issue for most people, but she's pregnant and shouldn't eat raw fish. Phenomenal experience as always! Went for brunch on a Sunday. After having some small confusion on open table making a Rez the restaurant communicated back to me in a timely manner and we were able to make our rez with no issues. We were greeted with smiles when when walked in the door and immediately shown our table. Our server Selby was very pleasant and accommodating! The coffee is wonderful and presented well! Bloody Mary's are often hard to predict when ordering in a restaurant but Christopher's had one of the best! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their brunch entrees! The music was even great !! A group of four of us drove about three hours round-trip yesterday just to get some pork rinds, and while we were initially disappointed to find out it was only the brunch menu, our disappointment did not last long. Since the brunch menu offers a little bit of everything, you'll be able to satisfy whatever craving you might have in terms of food, and the cocktail menu is fantastic (not pictured is the Bloody Mary we ordered). From the veggie flat to the pumba platter to the French toast du jour to the cookie sundae, everything was amazing. We live in Charleston and drove down to Huntington for lunch. We ordered a bison burger (ordered it cooked medium) with Gouda mac n' cheese and a crab cake sandwich with fries. It took 20 min for the food to come, which is fine, we don't mind waiting for good food. The food finally came and my husband tried the Mac n' cheese, it was not good. He said the cheese was mealy and you could see it was. He bit into the burger and blood started dripping out of it. He can eat a bloody burger but that's not what he ordered, he ordered it medium and he hates sending food back. The waitress came over to see if the food was ok, he told her about the burger and just asked if she could take a couple dollars off the bill, she said she'd talk to the manager. She came back and asked if we'd like a free dessert, we declined. She never mentioned anything else about the bill so we assumed she was still going to take a couple dollars off the bill. We got the bill and paid and left. When we were driving I looked at the bill and they had charged us more for the food than the menu price!!! 6/13/19- It has been 2 wks since I posted this review. I have not been contacted by the restaurant. I wanted them to make an effort to keep a customer but I guess they don't care about repeat business. Sad. I won't give them a second chance. BY FAR the best place to eat in Huntington, WV. Shadi is GREAT to eat and drink with at the bar. Tuna rare was spectacular, seafood flat was OFF THE CHAIN. Decent, somewhat geeky wine list. Appreciate seeing big craft like New Belgium as well as local ciders like Swilled Dog. Neat environment that's really aesthetically pleasing inside and out.
