Wow!!! This is a moody wine bar... but as a non drinker I was really impressed with their list of Mocktails! But the food Blew Me Away! The flatbreads were amazing... don't miss the one with Maple Syrup; the hummus was Yummy with fresh pita, the beer dip Was just right. Limited dinner options but they looked great too! Loved this place and even better loved the wine. Nice little find in athens with affordable and tasty flights based on your preference as well as wine by the glass or bottle. When we went they had a sweet/white wine flight, a red flight and a sangria flight. The guy who waited on us explained the flavors and was really nice. Only a 4 star (4.5 in my heart) because it's a lot pricier than other Athens restaurants but it's a great hidden gem. Such an eclectic atmosphere and awesome service every time. I absolutely love the Vince Costello flatbread - so happy it became a normal menu item. Their Thai flatbread and salad a delicious and love the artichoke dip. Wine is pricey so beware but again, it's a nice break from the normal Uptown experience. Love their seasonal menu and drink items too. They get me to go back with weekly specials! The remodel last year was amazing. This is the most unique and elegant space in Athens. The food is wonderful, and there is a great selection of cocktails and beer as well as wine. If you are looking for a romantic date night - this is the spot. It's also a relaxing location to just hang out and catch up on emails, or meet up with a bunch of friends. Great place. Generous pours of Wine. The flatbreads were very good. Especially the Thai peanut one. The pesto/balsamic flatbread was all balsamic. Couldn't even taste the pesto but the dough was amazing. We sat outside. The service was great. Pretty place inside!! read more

We had a fantastic wine tasting with Nate. He's an outstanding host. Wonderful service & great experience. This is the kind of place you will expect to find in Greenwich Village. I was happy when I saw the signs for a wine bar. I wasn't expecting much because Athens is really a college town and this place isn't far from my daughters dorm. I must say I was surprised from the moment I walked in the door! The decor was gorgeous with different seating options (tables, couches and chairs, or the bar). We chose to sit a the bar because it's always fun getting the drink details from the person pouring. The menu had a variety of wines to choose from and, as we hoped, the bar tender was quite knowledgable. We chose to make our own flights and we were happy with about four of our 6 choices. The most interesting was the Girl Scout cookie flight that was actually paired with Girl Scout cookie! My favorite was the Pinot Grigio paired with the lemon cookie. A small menu of assorted cheeses, baguettes and olive oil, olives and other provisions are also available. read more

Great place to relax and have a nice glass of nice. The beer cheese is to die for and the staff is always friendly with a smile on their face. It is a little bit on the higher end when it comes to the price but I personally think it's worth it. read more

They've recently undergone a massive renovation. The whole inside is new. They've expanded the kitchen to be able to offer more substantial food and appetizer selections. The wine selection is still the best in town by far. And now they have a complete beer bar with several area microbrews on tap and more common beers in bottles. Definitely something for everybody now, so don't be afraid to bring guests who aren't wine huge wine fans. Great for dates, small parties, and work events. We love the place! read more

Great vibe...love the decor! Drinks and apps were good. My only complaint was that they didn't provide nearly enough crackers or bread for the charcuterie board and Brie we ordered. We asked for more and they literally brought out 8 more crackers - AND CHARGED US FOR THEM! It's not like they are artisan or made in house...they were boxed water crackers! For the price we paid for the appetizers, it was very tacky to charge for a few extra crackers! read more

This place is going to be the next big (dare I say biggest?) staple in the Athens community. I visited Athens Uncorked a few months ago and was amazed that such a quiet, relaxed place exists in Athens. It's a huge change from the bars around town and a great place to get away from the big screen TVs, loud music and, well, drunks. I sampled four different "flights" during my visit, so I was able to taste twelve different wines. They mix up the selection every month or so. I highly recommend checking out Athens Uncorked. That atmosphere and decor set the right mood to unwind with the perfect glass (or whole bottle!) of wine. read more

From the live music to the service, this wine bar is one of my new favorite places in Athens. Went for a Galentine's Day gathering and it couldn't have been a more perfect setting. Our server, Anthony, was so great! He was attentive when needed and also gave our group enough time to decide on our flights and food. In a town dominated by beer, Athens Uncorked is a welcome addition to the alcohol scene. Positive features include a robust selection, beautiful and spacious ambiance, friendly service, and easy parking. I also appreciate a place that posts house rules, including a suggestion that customers not bring anyone to the bar whom they wouldn't bring to dinner with their mother. Athens uncorked is a hidden gem. When my mom came to visit, it was her favorite spot in all of Athens. Not only are all of the wines incredible (I got the "white wines of summer" flight), the appetizers are elegant and delicious. Lastly, the staff really made the experience- they knew what they were talking about, they gave great suggestions, and they were pleasant and respectful! Great addition to Athens! A lovely oasis of sophistication in a bustling college town. A nice variety of quality wines available in tasting flights, by the glass, or by the bottle. My husband and I shared a flight of Washington State reds, and then selected a glass of our favorite to enjoy with the Cabernet brownie which was highly recommended to us. Delicious!
