Seems like a newer place,went there for Sunday Brunch after church. Got there a bit before 11 a.m. and was surprised to find that they didn't open till 11 a.m. But once inside found that it was worth the short wait.....the coffee was excellent and the chicken and waffles which was delicious! They had a special Monte Cristina French Toast which sounded equally appetizing- will try this on the next visit. Definitely recommend! read more

First off I go to CE's once/twice a month and have never had any problems, other than the food quality hasn't been as good the last couple times. We had a party of 14 for a birthday dinner. We brought my daughters fav cheesecake and were told upon entering it was a $1 surcharge for us to cut the cake per person. Fine we just left it on table as it would have melted in the hot car. Near the end of eating several people req a slice, they said oh they wont bill you, we're using our same plate and fork. Well upon asking for check the waitress asked who should get billed for cutting the cake. I advised I brought a party of 14 with a bill in excess of $250 and you're worried about 7 or 8 dollars for us cutting a cake. She advised do you want the manager. I advised sure. She came over and started to explain why they charge the dollar. I advised you have two options either bill me the $8 or she doesn't get a tip. She said ok and walked off, not giving any indication of what choice she thought was best. Eventually I didn't get billed for it, but good customer service would be to apologize and advise the customer we appreciate your business so don't worry about it. Upon leaving I apologized to the waitress for the troubles and she basically stared right through me. I wish I had gone back and took her tip away, but didn't. We were going to call them on Monday about catering our daughters wedding for 150 people. That's not going to happen now, as well as myself and the other 5 parties in attendance voiced their opinion that they wont be back as well. ALL over me cutting a cake and wanting to bill me an extra $8....smh great job Christophers you just lost all my future business and potentially a $3000 catering bill. read more

Atmosphere is great, well designed and decorated. Service was great. The food however was disappointing. Ordered the pimento fries as appetizer and they came out burnt. Also, way too much cheese and too salty. Ordered the Taco flat and it was not good. Taco meat was dry and again cheese sauce was overly salty. I really wanted this to be a 5 star, go to, spot but sadly I dont think I'll return. read more

Delicious! Had the bison burger and house salad. Wife had the cheese flatbread. EXCELLENT for both. We had the pimento cheese fries as a starter. Great crispy, cheesy fries. Atmosphere feels upscale without being upscale. Very open and nicely decorated. Friendly waitstaff! read more

It was a good while ago that I went there, so things may be better, but the pepperoni flatbread was too salty for even my salt-fiend husband to eat. The drinks were okay, and I had a fish sandwich that was also okay. Not worth it for the price. Would rather go to Applebee's and get better service and food for a better value. When we arrived there were 12 seats on the patio. We requested these but were told that the outside couldn't be given to large parties (4 parents and our 6 young adult children). They then told us we would be separated when seated. When they seated us, they seated us across the room. Next to the "kids" table was a four-top. When I asked if we sit there, the hostess told me that table is "reserved." Next to our table was a six-tAgain, she told me "that table is reserved." The server came to take our drink orders and berated us for "sitting at the wrong table." When we explained we sat where we were directed, she explained that we were in the wrong and humiliated us in front of the other patrons. We decided to leave. As we left, I told the hostess of our dissatisfaction. Then and only then did the manager appear...to ensure that we really were leaving (her words). Obviously, we won't be back. This place is great ... Been here 3 times and have enjoyed the wine and food .... Blank bean & corn cakes, meatloaf, tuna, arancini all have were yummy and the cheese cake is the best !!! Great menu - hard to decide on one entree. Had the Cajun Shrimp Pasta - price/portion is great value. Sauce was just spicy enough, but not overpowering. Lots of good size shrimp also. The Spinach & Artichoke dip as an appetizer was great. Definitely will go back to try other items on the menu. read more

Nice change of pace for what we usually frequent. I love that it is locally sourced as much as possible. I had the salmon with local veggies and it was really great. I can't remember what it was called that my husband got, but it was a pork chop dish, and he loved it. The price was very reasonable for the quality and amount of food that we got. We've eaten here three times and the food has always been excellent. The menu is creative in a good way and there are lots of vegetarian options. I love that they source products from the local area. The bar service has never been friendly but the drinks are good. The vegetables in particular are flavorful and some of the best I've had in the US. It's easy to spend 25$ per person here before the tip so keep that in mind but if you don't have a budget it's worth it...much more so than the places in Huntington known for being expensive. read more

A really great newish non-franchise dining option for the Charleston/Huntington area. The decor is a mix of rustic and industrial, which is nice. We were here on a Saturday afternoon and the business was brisk. I had a panini which was generously sized and cheese-filled (unlike some places who are skimpy on both portion size and volume). For dessert I had chocolate cheesecake which was fantastically smooth and creamy. Altogether, a high-quality dining experience, and hopefully the place will stay around for a while. read more

My husband and I have visited this restaurant several times and enjoyed it and recommended it to several people. The last time we went, we were there less than 2 minutes, ordered drinks and were awaiting them when my husband got a call out from the Army and we had to leave asap. Even though we never drank our drinks, we had to pay for them and wait for the card to be ran and all. I emailed the owner thinking since the drinks were never touched and it was an emergency situation he would understand. He pretty much said sorry about ur luck. Very rude and I will never go back and will dissuade all I know the same. If ever there is an emergency situation surrounding this restuarant maybe the military will 'sorry about your luck' to them right back read more

Went Monday night with my parents (both in their mid 80's) and we were favorably impressed. My parents ordered fish dinners and I ordered the half chicken dinner. Their dinners were great and exceeded their expectations. My dinner was great as well. The breast of the chicken was a bit overdone but the rest of the chicken was perfectly done. The resturant was a bit loud and a bit dark. I needed to read the menu to them, but otherwise its a very nice up-scale resturant. All-in-all, this was a great finish to our visit to the Huntington area. read more

Who would have thought that I would travel to Barboursville WV to eat one of the best pizzas I ever tasted? They offer a wide variety of toppings, but what sets them apart is their crust and coal fired oven. They also offer a nice selection of fresh draft beers that pair nicely with the pizza. I've now been here twice and had good experiences both times. Wish I'd taken a pic to share... but anyway, the first time was for brunch and I had some wonderful French toast, which I understand they change up regularly. Second time was a late lunch, and I had an amazing flatbread pizza, very large, definitely could be shared especially if you get appetizers. For apps we had the pimiento cheese fries which were amazing! So great. Such a nice change to the regular old cheese fries. We also had wings. They were good, but since Christopher's Eats doesn't cut the wings they were large and kind of hard to eat. I probably wouldn't order them again just for that fact. Service was good both times. I had a coupon that wouldn't work right but the server still gave me the credit for it, which was nice. The décor is inviting, different from most restaurants around.
