the downtown Charlottesville location on mall behind the Omni hotel absolutely slaps!! they don't deliver, but it's a damn fine pie. Would highly recommend if you're craving pizza! They sell by the slice, too!

Nice crispy crust, but not so crispy you can't fold it a la NYC. The cheese pizza was perfect. The sausage and pepperoni was pretty darned good too. The salad was an also ran, and the soft drinks were way too heavy on the water and not so good on the syrup. I said 3 stars, wife said 4. Guess who won.

Great joint for pizza by the slice. Crust is amazing - crispy but still soft. Cheap prices. Will come back.

The downtown location is amazing!!! Roasted veggie pizza is so incredible and the quality is great here. It's the original owners so they still have the awesome flavors and the quality is better than the corner location. My dad comes here 2+ times a day when he's in town and says it's amazing quality at a great price and he is quite hard to please. You cannot beat this awesome pizza place.

Crust is great, they have a really nice variety, very clean, nice and fast service. Location location location.

Great Pizza You can get it by the slice or by the pie. Either way, feel free to explore! Their taco pizza was okay, but many of their other traditional options (Cheese and pepperoni) are some of the better choices on the downtown mall. This place is something of a staple to the Cville community, so it's hard to go wrong with Christian's.

Cute little spot right off the open air shopping area in downtown Charlottesville. We got three different pizzas by the slice to try. The cheese was really greasy but the pesto veggie pizza was great! Service was also wonderful, and the price point was reasonable.

Just your typical college town pizza shop! Have to say, the slices are large, priced from $2.50-4.00. If you've got a hankering for a slice on the go, you can do worse than Christian's.

The pizza is sooooooo good! It's my favorite pizza place to go to because the slices are so big and delicious! The place has such good decor to! I already ate half before I took the photo! over all, it is 5 stars!

The pizza had great…read moretextures- thin crust on the bottom but bready at the edge, and the right amount of cheese and spicy sausage topping. We each got a pizza and were able to finish both since we were starving. We loved the pizza scissors! Our server was prompt, and we felt lucky to be seated right away on a Wednesday night. Their connecting bar was having a concert outside, with what felt like hundreds of people in attendance. We also learned that we could park in the industrial warehouse lot next door since it was after 5 PM. We'll be back!

SERVICE We came in on a rainy evening and were told the…read morewait might be about 45 minutes...and no space to wait indoors so we sat outside in the covered patio and they came by to let us order drinks as we waited. Thankfully, got the drink and were called in early about 15 minutes into the wait. That little surprise made things start off on a good note. Once inside, we sat at the bar since there weren't tables available and we were HUNGRY and cold! Even with the weather and a busy crowd, everything felt smooth and relaxed. AMBIANCE The place was small and cozy with a warm vibe that instantly made us forget the rain outside! The cool shallot-shaped lamps over the bar gave off soft light, making the whole space feel super calm and inviting. Sitting at the bar felt right choice for us for our first time -- close enough to the energy of the restaurant and people watching and seeing the pizzas get made but still comfortable! There's a soft buzz but cozy enough to chat and just feel at home. FOOD We ordered the Abruzzo pizza with beef and pork meatballs, fiore di latte, San Marzano tomato, basil, and pecorino. It was hearty and rich but still balanced. We also wanted to try the Prosciutto pizza, which was not the favorite but still good. The San Marzano tomato sauce for the Abruzzo was the star of the show. We were sad we didn't order another pizza with the tomato sauce to switch it up but oh well, another time right?! Loved the floppiness, the tomato sauce flavor, and the crust! Have to love the scissor-plate idea -- very clever and so easy. And size of these personal small-sized pizzas perfect for 2 people so we could have room for dessert and not have leftovers! We finished with the Zeppole "donuts" which were fried ricotta donuts tossed in cinnamon sugar with a hint of lemon (which I LOVED the lemon here and cinnamon sugar worked perfectly!). They were light, warm, crispy and just what you want at the end of a meal. The food was delicious, though definitely on the pricier side ($16-$18 each for the small pizzas, $9 for dessert. Still, everything felt thoughtful and worth it for the quality!

We came back to this spot and took our pizzas and meatball sandwich to go. The art park has some places you could eat outdoors, though some are marked off for other businesses. For a 100% takeout, it wasn't the smoothest experience. They ran out of some things, they ran a bit over the projected order time, and they forgot my beverage, which thankfully I realized before I'd gotten very far. The flavor delivered as I would have hoped, with pure tomato tang, fresh basil, and a delectable charred crust on the core pizza I got. Adding a vegetable sandwich was a good decision in terms of taste, but either the preserved peppers they use or some other ingredient was so salty it took me a while to recover from even eating half of it. I do give them credit for offering sparkling water at a reasonable price. And of note, the budino dessert they offer, while described as pudding, is something that I learned is actually vegetarian (albeit with dairy and eggs), and delivered more excellent flavor. Overall, the amount I got for the money was not great, and while there were ample quality ingredients, I would sooner go back to eating in.
