I was recommended to try this pizza, we went to grab a variety of slices and by the looks of the options this pizza looked amazing. I figured we couldn't go wrong. Sadly, the pizza looked amazing but the flavors were so bland and no flavors stood out. I was disappointed because it looked so good. I now know that apparently the plain cheese is what's good, so I will give it another try sometime in the future. Neat location and service was fast. read more

If it's not hot and fresh, you'll have an okay experience. Thin NY Style in Virginia, but it's just not my favorite pizza here. Service is attentive, and plenty of places to sit including this small bay window spot where you can watch people on the downtown mall. read more

When you walk in the restaurant it's nice and cozy. The pizza pies are displayed behind glass and everything looks so delicious and fresh. I love a good white pizza so I ordered the spinach and white pizza and had a buffalo chicken pizza. Both were delish with the perfect crunch on the bottom. Service was great and they were very friendly. read more

Anyone who lives in Cville knows that Christians is a long-time, well know staple of Charlottesville. This is the original, and I've heard comments from the community that other locations aren't as good, but in my opinion they are all good, and you can't go wrong choosing which one to dine at. However, this one on the downtown mall is a better location that can start with pizza and turn into stroll through the historic outdoor mall that gives Charlottesville a lot of its lovable character. If you're driving through Cville, visit the more convenient one on 5th street, but if you're sticking around, you need to hit up the downtown mall. And get the avocado feta pizza. read more

Pizza was good. Not worth 27 dollars for a large 1 topping pizza. Crazy that is the going rate. No mark up I am sure.

Me and my friends went into this place to get pizza. We got in line and when it was our turn we were in the middle of deciding what to get when the guy in front just went over to the next person in line and took their order, I guess he was impatient. Anyways he took our order and when we went to pay, it was forcing us to tip, there was no option to not tip. We got our pizzas sat down, the pizza was alright but not great either, way too greasy and tasted like cardboard. The water wasn't good either, tasted like toilet water. Overall I don't really recommend this place. read more

Nice crispy crust, but not so crispy you can't fold it a la NYC. The cheese pizza was perfect. The sausage and pepperoni was pretty darned good too. The salad was an also ran, and the soft drinks were way too heavy on the water and not so good on the syrup. I said 3 stars, wife said 4. Guess who won. read more

Good pizza. Sold mostly by the slice. Get the extra pizza sauce. Crust is good, but cracker like, no folding. Small Dining area, but that's expected so it fits. Next door is a wine store, wish I knew that upfront. Good meal. read more

the downtown Charlottesville location on mall behind the Omni hotel absolutely slaps!! they don't deliver, but it's a damn fine pie. Would highly recommend if you're craving pizza! They sell by the slice, too! read more

The slice of pizza was your typical pepperoni pizza. I enjoyed talking to the server and getting to know them versus the actual food. I love connecting with people and knowing them and there city. The ambiance was very typical of your stop and drop pizza joint. Thanks for keeping me company guys and thanks for my pepperoni pizza read more

The downtown location is amazing!!! Roasted veggie pizza is so incredible and the quality is great here. It's the original owners so they still have the awesome flavors and the quality is better than the corner location. My dad comes here 2+ times a day when he's in town and says it's amazing quality at a great price and he is quite hard to please. You cannot beat this awesome pizza place. read more

Wow! I wish I lived closer. Christian's has the best pizza I've had in years. We had sausage pizza with artichokes.

Pizza was great with several options. Huge slice or by the whole. Employees were very cordial.

Friendly staff amazing pies so many flavors to choose from we ended getting BBQ chicken chicken taco chicken Alfredo and an all veggie "artichoke olives spinach fresh tomatoes roasted garlic cloves EVOO and mozzarella " totally insane! I will say if you like sweet sauce with a ton of sugar this is not the place for your simple sauce where the ingredients do all the talking! And the salads were stacked very fresh and tasty read more

Very very casual. Not a sit down service restaurant. That said, I could order specific slices, freshly made, to my request. I got them and they were great. A+ Would go again but I don't like that downtown area. It's boring. read more

Dude, where the fuck am I? I walk in at 730 on a Sunday, everyone is speaking Spanish and there's merengue on the stereo. Counter lined with pizza and calzones like every pizza joint in NY. I'm so confused, and yet so at home. It's freaking me out. Arguably some of the better pizza I've had outside of the north east, efficient service, and it was just a vibe, you know? read more

NY style pizzeria. Some of the better NY pizza that I've had out sides of NY. The crust was very crispy and had a nice crunch when biting into it. Not sure if their hours are right on Yelp. Yelp shows they close at 9 on Fridays but they were open past 11. read more

Great Pizza You can get it by the slice or by the pie. Either way, feel free to explore! Their taco pizza was okay, but many of their other traditional options (Cheese and pepperoni) are some of the better choices on the downtown mall. This pizza spot is located conveniently in the Downtown Mall area of Charlottesville and always has customers dining both in and outside every time I pass it! Tonight after a day of shopping, driving, skating, we decided to pick up something quick near our apartment and chose to try Cristian's! Upon entering on a slower Sunday night, we walked to the counter where many pizza were on display with toppings ready to re-heat on the oven for you! Reminds me of Sbarro in that they heat it up for you to melt the cheese and toppings and crisp the crust! I chose what looked like a fully loaded veggie slice filled with artichokes, olives, mushrooms, garlic, and spinach! I noticed there was no cheese on that particular type (probably pre-made Vegan) so I asked if I could have it topped with cheese and of course it was no problem! The employees were super friendly and in great moods which is always a plus! I also chose a Margherita slice, mushroom slice, and traditional cheese. Not all for me sadly! If you would like to order by the full pie you can do that too! They also have calzones, and salads to choose from! Call ahead for larger orders and full pies, show up on the spot to see what's new at the moment! There are many bottled drinks available for purchase as well as fountain sodas, sweet tea, and lemonade. The pizzas were all delicious and served New York style! Crispy, crusty, edges, with a softer middle and melty cheese. So yummy and easy! read more

I've been meaning to try this pizza place in the downtown mall for almost a year now and glad I did! They basically have all the pizza cooked ahead of time so you walk up to the counter and pick the slices or calzone you want, then they throw them in the oven to crisp them up, great idea and makes it quick! Slices are inexpensive and they have fountain soda and beer in bottles too if you would like one to go with your pizza. Great service and tons of indoor or outdoor seating. read more

I like the pizza here, delicious and suitable for vegetarians, My kids also love the sausage pizza here, will come back again.

This is quickly becoming my favorite spot to grab a bite to eat near 5th street! Consistent food that is delicious every time, well priced, fast service and always a willingness to make a pizza that's not on counter! (My favorite: the house special) Great for families on the run between sporting events, individuals who just don't want to cook for themselves and those that just love pizza!!!! read more

Wow, that's some great pie. So many choices of pizzas behind the glass, I finally narrowed it down to one that had spinach and sliced chicken cutlet, and one that had meatballs. They were quickly heated in the oven to a proper eating temperature and boxed up to go. Back at my desk, delicious. Great crispy crust, very good flavor, very filling. A super lunch for $9 (without a drink). read more

Ordered 2 pizzas had my son pick them up and they messed up the order. Drove 20 minutes back to get the correct pizzas and they wanted to charge me again, no apologies. Never again will we order from them. Horrible service. Thing of it is we only came to this pizza joint because my son goes to the location on the downtown mall every week. Would have left no stars but the app would not let me. read more

I stopped by here to pick up dinner a few times while working in Charlottesville during the summer of 2019. This place is great if you want something cheap, filling, tasty, and convenient. I always got my food to-go since the nights I was craving huge slices of pizza usually coincided with nights when I also wanted to just veg out in front of the TV in my hotel room. I tried the pesto chicken, pesto ricotta, and chicken parm slices over the course of a few visits. The pesto ones were my favorite; the ricotta one in particular was pretty unique for me, as I'd never seen a pizza that appeared to have pasta on top haha. They have a great variety of pizzas, and if you don't see one you want in the display, I'd ask about it before deciding on something else, as sometimes it's just a few minutes from coming out of the oven. Otherwise, the pizzas are just at room temp and they heat them up when you order them. The pizzas are not anything fancy, but they're tasty and satisfying, and you can get a lot of food at an affordable price. The staff I interacted with were all friendly and efficient. There's a good amount of seating both inside and outside. The atmosphere is very casual, and it was always reasonably busy when I was there. Don't be intimidated if there's a long line, as they're pretty good about moving through them quickly. Overall, a convenient place to get some huge slices if you're craving pizza in Charlottesville! read more

Found this place via Yelp. I would have to it's more for me. The environment was ok. Extremely busy, limited seating, cheese and red pepper shakers scattered everywhere, just a little too unorganized for me. The pizza also is not for me. The pizza sauce is sweet like spaghetti sauce and I'm just not feeling it. It could be a great pizza if the sauce was so sweet. Also the pizza sauce were extremely greasy. So I think I'll pass on visiting again. read more

Good pizza available quick and by the slice. Walk in, eat, and walk out. The slices are in display, like beauty contestants under glass. A plain slice? Avocado speed bumps in a chunky tomato field?
