Solid slice of NY style pizza. Certainly not the best pizza in Charlottesville or in the small area of the corner, but it does the job if you're hungry. Christian's used to be THE pizza chain in cville circa 2010, but those days are long gone. They are resting on their laurels from years ago. If you're looking for toppings and a really good overall pizza, pretty much anywhere else in town will have them beat. Especially lampo. If you're looking for a cheap greasy slice of NY style cheese pizza, this will always be good. I like their calzones too. read more

Amazing pizza by the slice! Open until 2 am! Ask for them to toast the slice 'double time' if you prefer the crispy crust! Highly recommend. read more

THE BIG: Great late night spot for those who went to UVA and locals that want a snack. Right off of W main street and 14th st NW. Open space inside. Street parking available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: My wife swears by this pizza and said that she would always get it late night. That at first made me wonder how good was this pizza. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and wanted to grab a bite to eat. We popped in the Christian's on the Ave and ordered a Mediterranean style pizza. It was surprisingly very good and the crust was bouncy and delivered a nice crunch. I am curious about their other pizza toppings, so I will be back! THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the damage done for a single pizza slice was ~$4.50. Note there is a minimum of $5 for a credit card charge so be ready to have your cash ready. read more

Mexican employee there in the afternoon is always extremely rude to me. I work for RMC and not sure why he treats me the way he does. I just simply ask for a side of the buffalo sauce and he rudely says that's not for you. He's the only person that has a problem giving a simple side of sauce. Use to come in everyday. But that one dude has to act like that for seemingly no reason at all. Your other employees have no problems ever just that guy read more

Terrible. Long line for ridiculously complicated slices (no plain, no pepperoni) slices that were served COLD. Not even close to warm. Bad service, bad attitude, all around terrible. Don't do it. Could be good but -- serve hot, simple slices to drunk people, but they have made it so complicated. read more

Such a great place for a late night slice of pizza! I tried several here and loved them all. The owner is also super sweet.

Ordered delivery late at night through grubhub, got the mozzarella, basil, and tomato pizza and it was fantastic. Perfectly crispy crust, delicious tomatoes and perfect amount of toppings. I will make sure to eat here again next time I'm in Charlottesville. read more

Christian's Pizza on the corner is another late night spot. Unlike many others, I opt to eat here during the day as well. The tortellini pizza is one of my favorites and chicken peppers as well when they have it. The slices are big and the prices are fair. It's a little hectic since this is not the original owner and the quality is lower than the downtown mall but it's still a great place to stop into, especially for late night cravings. Oh, and don't even bother looking at the menu because nothing on it is correct. Just look through the glass at whatever's best. There are sometimes lines out the door at around 2am. Truly some of the best going out nights are ones that just stop at Christian's. read more

If you don't want to ruin your day, stay clear from this place. Came in to order few slices, straight away get an attitude from the man behind the counter. First of all, all the pizzas were covered and when I asked to see the pizzas, he goes, "what you want?" and doesn't open show it until after asking few times. The whole reason for "pizza per slice" place are so that people can pick and choose their slice after seeing the options. When I asked him why it was covered, he gives me silent treatment. Do not understand the show of attitude I used to frequent this place, I won't be coming back here again. read more

I came here on a rainy cold Sunday afternoon, so there wasnt anyone here but one guy sitting and eating their meal. I waited about a minute or so before someone came out from the back and I ordered 2 plain cheese slices. They were ready pretty quickly and I had the place to my self at that point. The pizza was OK, but rather plain tasting. I looked for some oregano or garlic, but there were none on the tables or by the counter, so I just ate my food and left. Not much conversation from the man behind the counter and just an eery silence. To be fair, it was cold and rainy in a small college town on a Sunday morning, but the pizza could have more flavor or at least leave out some spices so people can add for themselves. read more

Christian's Pizza will always be my favorite and go-to late night pizza spot at UVA and in Charlottesville. Their slices are baked fresh upon arrival and taste so good. They also have loads of unique toppings and pies to choose from! My favorite slice at Christian's will forever be their Avocado Feta Pizza (AvoFeta). A couple other favorites are the Margherita, Pesto Tortellini, Classic Cheese, Mushroom on White! read more

Convenient and fast pizza after a night out. Christian's is not the best in the area or on the corner but it gets the job done. The restaurant stays open late and most of the customers on the corner are college students. The pizza is baked well and has a nice thin crust. However, it's greasy and the individual slices are expensive. read more

Great late night eats. I probably chose the most simplistic pizza tomato mozzarella and basil. But it still taste amazing the tomatoes were fresh and and so was the basil. You could defiantly taste the acidity and sweetness of the tomato. The pizza had a nice crunch on the bottom even with the juice drippings of the tomato. They have a great variety of pizza. Some interesting ones were their Mediterranean, tortellini, and chicken parmesan. overall a great place to grab a quick bite and I'll definitely be returning for another Alice or two the next time in cville. read more

Stopped in after a UVA football game for pizza. I had the tortellini and pesto great taste, the pesto was mild and not overbearing. We also ordered the a pepperoni. The pizza is pretty good the sauce is okay, you can order by the slice or you can order a 17' for 8 people. The place is not very clean in my observation. This location is next to a sports bar on the corner and you have lots of students that frequent this shop as the prices a relatively cheap. A good indicator to me in a restaurant is how well the bathrooms are kept....the men's bathroom does not have a lock on the door. read more

Christians is fast and affordable, especially late at night or in a pinch. The pizza is alright, but not the best in town or on the corner. It's always a little greasy, which can be fun when you're in the mood, but overall doesn't make for great food. It's certainly not the worst food you can get and is really fun for late night, but isn't my favorite spot for food especially with so many options in the area. read more

As a college kid who has been at UVA for the past 4 years, Christian's is many times the spot to go to after bars and before going home. I've ordered the avocado feta pizza at least 10 times in my life and it never fails to impress. Christian's makes really unique pizza combinations and they are always of high quality on a solid, crispy crust. I am also always impressed and have a lot of respect for the owner and worker staff who is constantly trying to manage at least 100 drunk kids on the weekend. Yet, they deliver our food fast, piping hot, and with ease. Through my 4 years, I've never had a problem. Some other recommendations for pizza include the tortellini pizza and chicken parmesan. If you are in Charlottesville and need a quick bite after going out, this is the place. read more

In general, I'm a fan of Christian's Pizza and their multiple locations in town, but I recently had an awful experience at Christian's on the corner and will never return there. At 10pm I called to order a pie to go. It was a simple order, half cheese, half pepperoni and mushroom. I was told it would be 15 minutes. I arrived about 20 minutes later and was told it would be "4 more minutes". I then watched what appeared to be the only employee on site, take a few cold slices from the display and toss them in the oven. He then grabbed a few more and sprinkled some toppings on them and also tossed them in the oven. I thought, he can't really be trying to assemble my pie from cold slices, can he? A few minutes later he pulled these slices from the oven, attempted to assembled them in a box, as I watched, and then gave me the box. He said, sorry, I can't make a half and half pizza, this is the best I can do. While he let me leave with this box of pizza for free, it was absolutely not what I ordered and driven over there to pick up. Instead I was given - bunch of soggy slices. Two of these slices had either broken or were half eaten. The "pepperoni and mushroom" side of the pizza didn't contain a single slice of pepperoni. Oh, and there was unmelted cheese all over the pizza. I was hungry and have enjoyed the pizza from Christian's on the corner before so I attempted to eat the only decent looking slice, but it was just awful. I threw away the entire "pie", or collection of slices wedged together in a box. This was an absolutely pathetic excuse for a pizza pie. I will not return to Christian's on the corner.I read more

OVERHEARD AT CHRISTIANS: 2am. The line snakes out the door. Two bros are brawling over a taxi cab while their lady friends are sitting on the curb outside of Boylan's and clutching their stomachs. Finally, the two guys just hop into the cab together and speed off; one girl looks up and plaintively mewls, "Where did they go?" Older Man: Honey, I think next time we should try X Lounge. Older Woman: I'm not comfortable watching you try to dance. I want to go home. Older Man: Honey, what are you talking about? I'm a perfectly good dancer. Older Woman: I hate your pelvic thrusts. I hate your gyrating. I hate how you throw your hands in the air. I want to smack you. Drunk Girl: (leaning in and leering) I like his pelvic thrusts. I like how it feels in my hand. Sorority Leader: Which one should I get? Which one should I get? Dammit, are you listening to me? Sorority Minion: Get the avocado and feta one. Sorority Leader: Whore, you know avocado isn't good for *gestures to her crotch area* Sorority Minion: It's okay, just rub it on later. Sorority Leader: Right, avocado's just like aloe, right? Bro 1: I've been losing a lot of weight lately. Bro 2: *silence* Bro 1: I think it's all the huge dumps I'm taking. They're really making me lose weight. Bro 2: *silence* Bro 1: I take one dump in the morning and then two dumps at- Bro 2: Would you shut the fuck up? I'm trying to eat my chicken here. Oh my god, I'm taking a tape recorder here next time. read more

My hubby and I ate here around 10:00 pm on a Wednesday night. We almost skipped this place because of the mediocre star-rating on Yelp. We were so glad we gave them the benefit of a doubt. We ordered a whole pie at $20 with any topping - half Supreme and half Margherita. The pizza was DELICIOUS! They have oregano as a condiment and it really kicked up the flavor. The young man behind the counter did not seem too enthused to be there, and after we waited for our pizza (about 20 minutes) and saw at least a dozen customers order slices, we understood why. The customers were probably all college students from the university and were rude and condescending towards him. What a shame. ANYWAY, if you're in the mood for pizza - this is a good spot. Christian's Pizza - Half Supreme and Half Margherita - 5 stars! - Pizza Near Me - Charlottesville, Virginia

Disclaimer: I would actually give Christian's 3 1/2 stars instead of four, but I rounded up as it truly has become my go-to for late-night food in Cville. Why I wouldn't go here during the day-time- The place is a bit divey. And I'm usually not a thin crust fan and it's overall a bit greasy. Redeeming qualities- Lots of topping options, open after bars close, decent quality for already being prepared as they heat it up in the oven right before you take it away, and an affordable price considering the ginormous size of the slice. For lunch or dinner, I would definitely still go to Mellow Mushroom's, but for a late-night snack, Christian's does the job. read more

Pretty much your classic drunk late night food. The pizza is alright, thin crust but a good amount of toppings. It's also not too expensive for specialty slices which is a plus. I don't know why nobody's reviewed this location yet. Have they got it confused with the one downtown? Anyways, this little place on the Corner is always packed at night with bar-goers. This place is designed for the long lines though, so accommodating so many people is not a problem! The pizza here is so nice when it's hot out of the oven (which it is). It's crust is crispy and served in large Costco-sized slices. And so many varieties to choose from! The hawaiian pizza is packed with large slices of ham and chunks of pineapple. So delicious, which is why it's always packed. The spicy chicken and peppers is topped with flavorful, moist pieces of chicken and fresh, fresh green and red peppers. Personally, I prefer the pizza here to Mellow's. For the quality, flavors, sizes, and price. About $3 here for a large slice of pizza! Awesome! read more

This place has the best New York style pizza. I love their white pizza when I'm ordering a slice, but suggest the classic pepperoni when ordering a full pizza for takeout. Ask them not to cut it- it travels better when you just slice it at home! read more

Another late night establishment downtown, with pizza that is good not great, but I'm sure really hits the spot at 2AM. I think I made the mistake of coming here really early (10PM) and sober. Pizza ranges from $2-3 depending on the amount of toppings. It's made fresh then reheated in the oven for a few minutes before they serve it to you. The slice I had - ham and pineapple - wasn't too bad but wasn't too great either. The crust was crispy, but the toppings were lacking and there wasn't enough cheese or sauce. Overall it's just meh - I imagine after a night of drinking I would be giving this place five stars. read more

One of my "must go" places when I visit Charlottesville. After bars let out there is a terribly long line out the door, no tables to sit and eat, and the drawback of having to deal with drunk people. Spinach feta is LIFE CHANGING. Other than that, a lot of the slices are overcooked, and the novelty of eating tortellini or chicken parm on pizza disappears as you realize the quality of the pizza isn't that great. The Christians pizza in the historic district is awesome but this one across from the hospital leaves a lot to be desired. I called ahead to order a cheese pizza to go and when I got there it was not ready so he took one that was on the shelf reheated it and tried to give it to me. I called ahead for the purpose of running in and out but also to have a fresh pizza ... I would consider myself a pizza expert. Just look at all the Jersey pizza places i've Yelped. (Free compliment for the first one to come up with the number!) This place was very good. Christian's is infamous for being the hotspot for late night pizza. The place is most likely to be packed at night during the school year. The slices are cheap and usually one can get the job done. The ones that I like the best are the plain cheese and tortellini (there's pasta in the pizza). Objectively speaking, the quality of the pizza is average. If you're a UVA student then you will come here at least once during your time at the university, but you are less likely to come after you graduate/visit Charlottesville. read more
