    Half Hawaiian half meat-a-palooza

Always coming back to this spot because of consistency AND speed. Like the flash fast. Depending on traffic, it takes me about 5-10 minutes to drive to Vocelli's and when I get there, it's ready for pick up. This time, ordered one large (I think?) half Hawaiian with feta and the other meat lovers (Meat-A-Palooza) and it was LOADED. Tell me because I genuinely don't know and only ate at this establishment once before but it was takeout: can Lampo beat this quality and price? Bottom line: actually, don't come here. You'll just make it take longer for me to get my pizza :) but seriously, speedy quality pizza is what we hope for on our pizza nights. Dominos and Papa John's only beat this place with deals that a local za cannot compete with.

    Veggie pizza

Normally we love this place and while meat pizza was great, the veggie pizza I ordered my wife was not worth the money. Who the heck just puts giant slices of tomato on a veggie pizza, that end up not even being cooked very well. If you're not going to dice them up, at least cook them like it's a margarita pizza.

Not New York style pizza as some described but we liked it. Sausage is quality the s as u e is a little too heavy but has a nice flavor.

Husband and I went here for dinner during our first night in Charlottesville. The pizza had great…read moretextures- thin crust on the bottom but bready at the edge, and the right amount of cheese and spicy sausage topping. We each got a pizza and were able to finish both since we were starving. We loved the pizza scissors! Our server was prompt, and we felt lucky to be seated right away on a Wednesday night. Their connecting bar was having a concert outside, with what felt like hundreds of people in attendance. We also learned that we could park in the industrial warehouse lot next door since it was after 5 PM. We'll be back!

SERVICE We came in on a rainy evening and were told the…read morewait might be about 45 minutes...and no space to wait indoors so we sat outside in the covered patio and they came by to let us order drinks as we waited. Thankfully, got the drink and were called in early about 15 minutes into the wait. That little surprise made things start off on a good note. Once inside, we sat at the bar since there weren't tables available and we were HUNGRY and cold! Even with the weather and a busy crowd, everything felt smooth and relaxed. AMBIANCE The place was small and cozy with a warm vibe that instantly made us forget the rain outside! The cool shallot-shaped lamps over the bar gave off soft light, making the whole space feel super calm and inviting. Sitting at the bar felt right choice for us for our first time -- close enough to the energy of the restaurant and people watching and seeing the pizzas get made but still comfortable! There's a soft buzz but cozy enough to chat and just feel at home. FOOD We ordered the Abruzzo pizza with beef and pork meatballs, fiore di latte, San Marzano tomato, basil, and pecorino. It was hearty and rich but still balanced. We also wanted to try the Prosciutto pizza, which was not the favorite but still good. The San Marzano tomato sauce for the Abruzzo was the star of the show. We were sad we didn't order another pizza with the tomato sauce to switch it up but oh well, another time right?! Loved the floppiness, the tomato sauce flavor, and the crust! Have to love the scissor-plate idea -- very clever and so easy. And size of these personal small-sized pizzas perfect for 2 people so we could have room for dessert and not have leftovers! We finished with the Zeppole "donuts" which were fried ricotta donuts tossed in cinnamon sugar with a hint of lemon (which I LOVED the lemon here and cinnamon sugar worked perfectly!). They were light, warm, crispy and just what you want at the end of a meal. The food was delicious, though definitely on the pricier side ($16-$18 each for the small pizzas, $9 for dessert. Still, everything felt thoughtful and worth it for the quality!

We came back to this spot and took our pizzas and meatball sandwich to go. The two pizzas were meant to be eaten on site, so the taste test at home was so-so, but the meatball sandwich was worth every penny! The staff at the window was friendly and fast! The art park has some places you could eat outdoors, though some are marked off for other businesses. For a 100% takeout, it wasn't the smoothest experience. They ran out of some things, they ran a bit over the projected order time, and they forgot my beverage, which thankfully I realized before I'd gotten very far. The flavor delivered as I would have hoped, with pure tomato tang, fresh basil, and a delectable charred crust on the core pizza I got. Adding a vegetable sandwich was a good decision in terms of taste, but either the preserved peppers they use or some other ingredient was so salty it took me a while to recover from even eating half of it. I do give them credit for offering sparkling water at a reasonable price. And of note, the budino dessert they offer, while described as pudding, is something that I learned is actually vegetarian (albeit with dairy and eggs), and delivered more excellent flavor. Overall, the amount I got for the money was not great, and while there were ample quality ingredients, I would sooner go back to eating in.

Wait time from store to store is usually pretty short, but waiting for actual food can be 2 minutes to 15 depending on who you go to. I got a chicken salad from the chicken place and it was great. My daughter got fettuccini alfredo and declared it rich, but bland. All that said, you can't miss with the ice cream location.
