Showed up within a few hours of my call, got the job done and done right. He also only charged me for a re-key even though he had to change the cylinder, since he didn't have the right blank to make a new key for my existing lock. And, his re-key charge was just a bit more than half of other's estimates. His first effort didn't work correctly and I called him back as he was leaving - he returned and cheerfully made it right. (the problem was not predictable; anyone would have gotten the same result and needed to put the extra time in). Overall, good service at a great price. I contacted Chris and he responded quickly and kindly. He was able to fit in a service call the next day (which was great, as it was urgent but definitely not an emergency). Notably, he had no problem working on sliding glass doors; multiple other locksmiths I contacted stated that they do not work on them at all. Chris was able to make my sliding glass door operable, and ordered the parts needed for a more permanent fix. I had another locksmith out the day prior, who wasn't able to provide any fix, temporary or otherwise. Had Chris to come out and troubleshoot a lock inside of our house. I asked him to mask up since I'm immunocompromised since the issue was inside our home (as opposed to last time it was the front door) and he said he wouldn't. I inquired as to why and he said he "was over it". He was not unfriendly, but was firm with his boundary and said I could call someone else. After an internal on-the-spot debate with myself (since we haven't had direct access to our garage for 10 days) I decided to leave my front door open for ventilation, mask and turn a fan in his direction toward the front door. I took other mitigating measures after he left by spraying lysol and wiping down the work area. In fairness, he did get the job done efficiently. If you want a locksmith to mask in your home-be advised. read more
