After that horrible experience at another spot in this plaza, I decided to get me some Thai tea from here while my friend got herself a taho. The server was welcoming. The place had a some tables. My drink was refreshing. Could do without the tapioca, but I still liked my drink. My friend loves herself some taho and was happy with every sip and scoop.

Got the halo halo from here (to go) and hit the spot! So delicious with ube ice cream though I wasn't crazy about the pearls in it. Still was a great dessert option I was craving.

We came here for the steamed bun...the receipt said it's the asada siopao. their banners outside peeked hubby's attention. We just got 1 to taste b/c we were at Jollibee :) and the size was pretty good. It came with a packet of sauce, not sure what the name was but it was like a thick smokey hoisan or soy sauce. The meat was pretty good and flavorful. They told them as singles of a pack of 6.

Combo entree with salt and pepper pork

Not the best, not the worst. Price point is good but the food quality is just okay. I got the combo silog (breakfast) with tocino and longanisa. The longanisa was a no for me. Not juicy, not sweet, and it just tasted like kielbasa to me. The tocino was pretty good though, fatty enough and fairly tender, with a good sweetness. It comes with some garlic rice, which was pretty good, and a hella overcooked egg -_- They offered some vinegar on the side, which paired well with the tocino. For about $11, this wasn't the worst breakfast but I'd just stick with tocino next time. My BD got the combo plate with salt and pepper pork, and the default fried chicken it comes with. You can opt for mild or spicy so that's cool, and they have several entree to pair with (sweet and sour pork, popcorn chicken, broccoli beef, etc). This comes with a scoop of pancit and steamed rice and 1 little sesame ball. The S&P pork was just too battered for me, and the fried chicken was a bit over fried as well. The chicken thigh was juicy with super crunchy skin, went great with the vinegar dip, but the drumstick was hella dry. Add on a soda for about 50 cents. We got a side order of popcorn chicken and my daughter loved it. TBH we would come back, just for that. They do have a spicy option so I'd like to try it but I didn't love that this comes with zero dipping sauces.. some sweet chili sauce would be nice. This is a no frills spot to grab some food. Portions are good, and it's affordable. Slight wait, but nothing crazy, so you can get your day going within a reasonable amount of time. This is right across from Jollibee inside the Seafood City.

Choking Restaurant offers great value breakfast meals! The food is tasty, portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. A nice spot to start your morning with a satisfying meal.

Pancit Canton Small Platter (serves 3-4)

We decided to try their Bundle Feast 3 due to their 2024 Labor Day promotion/deal ($5 off). The feast comes with 24 pieces of Siomai and 1 Small Pancit Canton Platter. This is advertised to serves 4-6 people, and I would have to say that estimate is pretty accurate. The Siomai was tasty but more on a smaller side, and it had a prominent white-pepper flavor which I really liked. The pancit reminded me of Indonesian-style fried noodles even down to the toppings - cabbage, eggs, and sliced fishballs. It was tasty but I wasn't sure of I liked it just because it was a similar taste to what I grew up with in Indonesia. But I would say the noodles were a tad overcooked and thus were a bit too soft for my preference. Staff were super nice and friendly when I picked up my order at the store. And ordering online through their app was pretty painless.

We've been here several times because food is good and for the price is even better,we love the siopao and beef wonton, the soup is generous and is consistent in taste whenever we come and buy it.Service is fast and ambiance is good, they have their own clean restroom.

The service is not friendly. They also refuse to fix their bathrooms so you have to jump through hoops to find the bathroom somewhere in the grocery. The workers are stingy on the napkins, sauce, and utensils. It's the summer but they also don't have ice. and to add on top, the young cashier is constantly scratching her scalp in front of the customer. It was disgusting.

The minced pork sauce clung onto them really really well. The minced pork had a nice balance of sweet and savory, although it leaned towards a little sweeter than I personally prefer. But it wasn't a problem at all, since I was able to adjust the flavor to make it more savory by using the Chicken Granules, Cumin, Chili Oil, and White Pepper condiments. Overall, it was a very satisfying dish! We also tried their new shaved ice dessert. It wasn't like the Hawaiian style shaved ice which is based on frozen water, but more like Korean style Bingsoo with a milky shaved ice base. The flavor and texture were both good, but I thought it was missing the toppings. It relied solely on syrup, and I think it would've been much better with fresh fruit or other toppings to add more flavor. It was $5.99 per order as of July 2026.

Got Pig Ears and Cold noodles take out at the end: very good. Not too salty. Service was quick, accurate and finely. Very clean, simple store. Not overly decorated. Parking was easy. The staff were friendly as well. We looked at the menu and ordered, and then we got some of banchan / veggie side dishes for our meal. We ordered the following - Japchae - noodles appetizer. Was a very decent size for an appetizer as well. The kids really enjoyed this. Tofu Stew - i usually get this spicy, but since my daughter didn't want spice, we got it not spicy at all. Tofu was soft and the beef was alright. This dish was on the more saltier side in our opinions, but wonder if the spice they would have added would have balanced out the saltiness. The side of rice helped cut the saltiness as well. Bimbimbap - love these stone bowl rice dishes! Was pretty standard and we added a fried egg on top as well. My son was a fan of this dish. I expected a bit more. Kalbijjim - the must dish to get here! We ordered the MINI one since we were sharing everything, and we didn't add on any toppings. The dish came and it was really big and amazing. However, either the person didn't hear me or ignored me, it turned out it was the regular size as we were charged $80+ for it instead of the $30 mini size one. It was really tasty - both the short ribs on the bones and not on the bone. There were radish, potato, and rice cakes mixed in there as well. If we knew we were getting a regular one, I would have liked some toppings such as corn or something... not too sure what happened there, but it was still really tasty. We had a bit leftover and were given a box with no lid. They would seal the box with the plastic wrap thingy. Would come back again.
