Meh. I could have gone to Chiptole. Chopt follows the Built a Bear concept so familiar in the casual restaurant dining scene. Much like Subway, Chipotle and these pizza joints that allow you to build your on pie, Chopt follows the assembly line model with, apparently, great fanfare. The bowl sizes are massive. There's easily two servings in there. You can go with a standardized option, like the cobb or Santa Fe, or build your own. Base choices include kale, romaine, spinach and arugula (a personal favorite of mine). People, and I cannot stress this enough, make sure you are loading your salad with options. I made the mistake of going skimpy, not realizing the total amount of lettuce being offered. It's deceiving, like pasta and rice. Am I adding too much to the boiling water? Too little? Trust me, you will likely add too little of this is your first time. Options include egg, tomatoes, cucumbers, grilled onions, jalapenos, grapes, olives, scallions, goat cheese, cheddar, chickpeas, Parmesan and olive oil. I added about half of these and I felt like I was eating a lightly seasoned head of lettuce. Other add-on options include broccoli, carrots, edamame, beets, roasted squash, feta, Soba noodles (Eh? Really?!), qunoa, walnuts, smoked bacon, cranberries, tortilla chips, avocado, tofu, grilled chicken, steak, shrimp, falafel and so very much more. Being a salad lover, I like the concept. But I cannot see myself returning.

Harvest bowl + avocado + Black beans + Brussels sprouts + goat cheese -- PHENOMENAL

Ordered delivery from this location two days in a row. Both days something in our order was wrong from the actually Chopt location (vs the delivery human missing something). So that was slightly disappointing. The first day the employee forgot to give the delivery human one of our salads. When he went back to get the missing one, she gave him the wrong one. Unacceptable. I've always loved Chop't but for deliveries, disappointing. Not sure why because it's just a matter of just reading the order list they get.... Anyway, I also write this review because it was my first time getting the harvest bowl and it was absolutely delicious. I added avocado and Brussel sprouts and black beans and goat cheese to it and it was delish. Recommend

When in town, I have to eat lunch here at least once. They never disappoint. They're Always eager to keep the line moving. Food is always fresh and plenty. If weather permits, we like to sit outside and take in the buzz of the city.

I pass this store so many times and thought I give it a try. I was surprised by the menu and the different kinds of salads they have but Courtney Williams helped me customize my salad and OMG I love it . I am definitely coming back at least 2/3 times a week now. Thank you Courtney for the help this joint is Bomb.com Kale caesar; spicy peppers, bacon, fried chicken with eggs with Mexican caesar dressing

I'm one of the biggest salad snobs out there so I'm very particular on where and who makes me a salad. I tried Chopt after a meeting and was immediately impressed by the atmosphere. The manager was super pleasant and the staff behind the counter making the salads were very helpful. They really live up to the name because they were chopping that salad like nobody's business. I made my own salad and ordered a Kale/Spanish salad with apples, cage free eggs, dried cranberries, cheese, pepper and topped it off with balsamic dressing. Too good to not leave a review.

Chopt brand standards are proving uniform throughout and I LOVE it. Had another great salad at another location in the city. This location has fresh healthy drinks as alternative to soda options. I had the lime and mint and it was super refreshing and paired perfectly with my Mexican Caesar salad.

Tried Chop't after a recommendation from a friend. The long lines at sweetgreen always made me very weary of going in. I thankfully chose the right time during lunch (1:30 pm) and found myself in line behind only 3 people. Initially, there was nowhere to sit but I was able to find a table. I honestly stood looking at the menu for about 2 minutes and was a little clueless about the ordering process. It didn't help that the employee behind the food wasn't talking loudly so I had a hard time figuring out what he was asking. Once I acclimated, I ordered a salad that was ah-mazing! I tried the mavericks salad with chicken tinga. It was filling because of the double protein from the chicken and quinoa, and also very tasty. I was warned that the sweet and smoky chipotle dressing was spicy, but I didn't find it to be. It had a little kick, but not too much and my palette is sensitive. Ultimately, I did feel like $11 (price with tax) was a lot for a lunch salad. But I left my bowl empty and my belly was full. I'll definitely be back to try what else they have. I will definitely come back.

I've been on a shakshuka kick lately, so I opted for the the Sweet Potato Shakshuka, which is described as: Sweet Potato Curry, with Chickpeas and Sunny Eggs with a the chicken add-on - gotta get that protein in, after all. This was one of the most unique shakshukas I'd ever had... It literally tasted like a curry dish you might get at your local Indian restaurant, with a bit of a brunch flair to it. The curry itself had a wee bit of spice and was a bit sweet - but that could have been from the sweet potatoes. The chicken was served in a bowl on the side, which felt a bit... odd... I would've expected it to be incorporated into the main dish. It was kind of bland and a bit lukewarm, so I don't know that I'd order that again... but I would definitely order this again!

The creamy red Tikka curry sauce, caramelized onions, crispy brussel sprouts, and fried ere tasty and paired well, the dish felt incomplete and something was missing, maybe some paneer or naan? I paid $5 for a side of zesty naan topped with different spices and really wish it came with the dish just came with it. While I was tempted to order the falafel, I couldn't justify shelling out another $5 for another upcharge and spend $10 on them for a total of $26 for just an entree - when these 2 upcharges should have been included in the entree by default. Wish there were more fun vegetarian dishes on the menu. Might come back for drinks and to explore the menu!

We ordered our food with the host/cashier and waited at our table for the food to be delivered. My companion's food was delivered and the server asked us if there was anything else. I said my food hadn't come and she asked me what I ordered. I told her it was the Greek goddess. I had to wait quite a long time for my meal to arrive and when it did, the server placed the plate on the table, grabbed the table number and walked away.No apology for the extended wait, no, "enjoy your meal." It was quite rude. The Greek goddess was pretty bland and my friend's soup was boring. The Falafel pita was ok. We have lots of options for lunch in Washington DC. I will not return to this establishment, ever.

After polling my colleagues, we came to the agreement to check this place out. That being said, I booked a table our first night in the area and off we went. L'Ardente specializes in Italian fare - specifically marketing themselves as "glam Italian". Walking in, I didn't really get glam vibes, but perhaps because it was still daylight. The restaurant is pretty spacious - the main dining room has high ceilings and big windows, with a bar along the back wall and some alcoves along the far side of the restaurant. The decor is mostly modern, with mostly dark finishes with clean lines. We started with drinks - they have a good selection of cocktails and were also flexible to make something that we specifically requested. For apps, we decided to share the pulpo, verde salad, artichokes, and melon with prosciutto. All of these were good, but the pulpo and artichokes were my two favorite. Both were creatively prepared and had great flavor. For my main, their signature 40-layer lasagna was tempting, but I opted for the linguine ai frutti di mare. This was an interesting preparation - the expected seafood was there, but the red sauce was thicker than traditionally used in the dish, and had more heat. The dish was good, and apparently this is a running theme where they put their own twists on what are usually traditional Italian dishes. We opted for dessert, and shared the vanilla soufflé, crème brûlée, and the blueberry panna cotta. All of these were really good and creatively prepared. The soufflé was my favorite - great vanilla flavor and pared with tasty pistachio ice cream. Service was great, everyone was super friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Overall, I had a good experience at L'Ardente. Glam? The jury is out for me - but, the food is solid and service was great. I would return, but not before checking other Italian restaurants out in the area first.

Shortly after we got our drink, we received notification of an opening and were seated by 8:15. We had the burrata appetizer, Ragú x 2, and the seafood fra diavolo. The burrata was one of the best I've had since they serve it with pesto, pine nuts, and garlic bread. It was truly divine! The Ragú was not far behind. Incredible flavor and a generous portion. The seafood dish had a nice kick and had plenty of seafood, which is not common as of late. All dishes were also priced reasonably for the quality you received.
