I have (had) been going here for almost 20 years yet since new ownership, I will NEVER return. RIP CHOPSTICKS! BEFORE NEW OWNERSHIP: the decor may have been aged. However, the food was absolutely phenomenal! Which was all that truly mattered to me. Everything was made by hand, and you could taste the authenticity. The service was fabulous. The food was to die for, and kept me coming back for just about two decades. AFTER NEW OWNERSHIP: the decor may be new, but the food is by far the worst Chinese I've ever had in my life. The hot tea tasted like they had soaked tobacco leaves in water & served it hot. They claim that they haven't changed the menu nor the recipes. However, NOTHING tasted nor looked the same. Not to mention, the guy taking orders was going back & forth with the person on the phone saying how the menu was not the same & some things had been removed. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! None of the recipes are the same. The food is completely bland & flavorless. The sweet & sour chicken & the eggs rolls tasted as if they were previously frozen kept in a really dirty freezer. EVEN THE FRIED RICE WAS INEDIBLE! The fried rice was absolutely disgusting & left completely untouched. The portions are horribly small for the price. Prices are so MUCH more expensive yet the quality is obsolete. ALSO, they refused service to two women who came in 30 minutes before closing. Which in my opinion is absolutely outrageous. I WOULDN'T RECOMMENDED THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY!!! Not even a person without taste buds. Do yourself a solid favor: save your money, time, and severe stomach ache--GO SOME WHERE ELSE, any where else, just NOT HERE!!! read more

I haven't eaten here for about a year. Not because the food wasn't good...just the portion sizes are 2 large. When I did eat here, I always ordered the seafood w/ Lo Mein. It was consistently really good, not 2 greasy/salty. The food ALWAYS came out piping HOT. LUV THAT. I do sometimes dream about going back...prob should just get take out - so i'm not overwhelmed by the HUGE plate of food set in front of me. LoL read more

The service was good, but the food was not. Nevertheless, the situation could be easily fixed for the future: 1. My sweet and sour prawns came without any sweet and sour sauce--no sauce on the shrimp and no extra cup with sauce. 2. Place eggrolls in a separate container even if you have to charge an extra 5-10 cents for a tiny bag. The egg rolls were placed in the other order, which had a large amount of sauce such that they were a soggy mess by the time I got home. I did like the pork fried rice. read more

First I do like chopsticks because they are local and have good food. One can order online and get it picked up. The thing that reduces the stars are that, I had better Chinese. The food is decent read more

Very good service. The young lady at night is very friendly. The hot and sour soup was good so was the house chowmain and garlic chicken. Good price. read more

I noticed that Chopsticks reopened so I wanted to try it out. I went in with my nephew and noticed the recent remodel, it felt inviting. We were greeted by G who was very nice. She suggested some items for us, we ended up with garlic broccoli, Mongolian beef (my favorite) accompanied with some garlic chicken wings which was a big hit for my nephew. The food was so good I decided to order take out for my brother, I got him honey walnut prawns, orange chicken and fried rice. If you haven't been here in a while come try out this restaurant again! Its under new ownership, they are friendly and welcoming. You won't leave disappointed. read more

I love the food there. No doubt. Not authentic, but still delicious. The customer service is great, the food is fresh and delicious. If you expect authentic, look elsewhere, if you want a wonderful version of chinese-ish food, you have absolutely found a gem. But...their delivery service sucks. Grubhub, never on time, cold food and no reason for completely failing to be on time. Every time I have ordered from them, they give a 30 minute window, which they utterly fail to meet. Not even remotely close.. 6:30 to 7:00.. 7:30...still waiting The food is great. The delivery is awful. The website is ridiculously, hilariously, freakishly bad. They need to set their web designer on fire for the good of all internet users. Luckily the staff are brilliant at their jobs. I just wish I got actually hot food for my $100 worth of order. Fire the delivery drivers, set the website designer on fire for the good of mankind, and get what those wonderful cooks create in the actual customer hands read more

New to the area and haven't had Chinese food in a long time. I ordered the general Taos combo with BBQ fried rice and pork, it also came with an egg roll and wonton soup! The chicken was so crispy on the outside and had the perfect amount of sauce. I would definitely come back. I feel like the portions are fairly priced as well! read more

Ordered our usual, after waiting for the "grand" reopening, and was greeted with bright colors and flavorless food. This used to be our favorite Chinese place but now I'll look elsewhere. Maybe the old management kept ALL the seasonings. read more

Very clean and well organizes. The service is amazing as well and the food is worth every penny! Highly recommend! Check it out if you are around read more

I had Chopsticks for the first time under the new management. I thought the food was really good. I had the walnut shrimp and a lunch combo special with almond chicken. I got a good portion. Had leftovers the next day. Also the remodel inside looks really nice.. I will definitely eat at Chopsticks again when I want Chinese food. read more

I called in an order to go. Ordered 2 D family meals and another order of almond chicken. The lady on the phone read it back as C so I confirmed D as in Dog. They still got the order wrong. So i spent $60 (which is crazy for what we got) and ended up throwing half away because it was shrimp and veggies instead of general taos like we ordered. The sweet and sour pork that came with this family meal was dry and we ended up tossing that too. The almond chicken and fried rice were okay which is the only reason I gave 2 stars. Will definately not be going back or recommend. read more

We used to order delivery from them fairly often before the change in owners. We went into the restaurant after the remodel and the food was excellent. Tonight, we wanted to order for delivery. We called and were told they were busy and to call back in 10 minutes. We waited and called back only to be told that their driver had just left and to call back in 10 more minutes. (Why we couldn't leave our order without the driver being there I don't know.) We called back in another 10 minutes and got no answer then what appears to be an individual's voice mail; no indication that it's a business at all. I doubt we'll try them again. Shame, because their food is quite good. read more

Currently, our go-to place for Chinese. We order out here approx. once a month, always quick and whoever is at the front desk seems to be really friendly. Not trying to be funny or sarcastic but it is a little surprising. We love the Fried Chicken Wings, and Broccoli and beef. For some reason, I always think the bill is going to be less than what it ends up being but whenever I do the comparison to the menu price it is right on. read more

I have eaten at Chopsticks several times. The service is always Friendly and quick. The Food is so Tasty. Egg Fo Young yummy. Never disappointed. Clean environment. read more

Very disappointed. Food was bland, no flavor, no spice...asked for hot sauce got chili in oil which was spicy. Fried rice was just rice in sodium free soy sauce, wonton soup probably had frozen wonton. read more

We have been loyal customers for about 30 years. We always order happy family menu item which always had scallops and shrimp. They stopped putting that in and changed more. I never leave comments but this is a big deal to us. read more

Well, you can accept that I gave you a mention of the free crab rangoon and egg rolls to make up for terrible service, but honestly it didn't make up for it. I had to ask for it and then had to check with the "owner" to get the ok, so NO, you don't take care of customers unless they ask and giving them little things like that makes up for wasting their time, NOT terrible service. And then still getting the order wrong was the topper. Regardless, there are many other places that offer similar food with WAY better service and that appreciate and take care of their customers. read more

New and much improved! Before the new owner, I had gone here only once and never came back. Since the new owner, I've been here multiple times throughout the soft opening. It's clean, service is fantastic, and the food is exactly what you'd want in an American-Chinese restaurant. As a vegan, they have great options as well! read more

This place used to have the best house combination fried rice but we tried it tonight since they reopened and it was no where near as good as it used to be. Not happy with the taste .. it used to be darker colored and just more flavorful. Also it looked more like deli or microwave fried rice than actual fried rice to be honest. Their ordering service was slow tonight.. They were having phone problems though so hopefully it can be better once that's fixed Food is not great like a few months ago. Sad. We had been eating here for 10 years. It's hard to find a good fried rice and Chop Sticks was the place before the change. read more

On a work trip randomly picked this place for dinner. This was absolutely delicious. Service was very good and food was exceptional. Hubby and kiddos couldn't stop talking about how much they loved their selections. Definitely recommend read more

I used to live by here, so when I craved Chinese, this was best in the area. Trying out new Chinese restaurants are so risky, but everyone at my job used to eat at this place or bring food here for our potlucks. What I remember most about this place is their fried rice. read more

Average Chinese food. But they deliver to your home so 'yay, I'm a fan!'

Food wasn't very fresh or flavorful. Dishes almost tasted prepackaged and microwaved. We ordered steamed Chinese dumplings and they turned out to be steamed wontons which fell apart as soon as you tried to pick them up. Mongolian beef had no spiciness to it. Sweet and sour chicken was all batter and what looked an tasted like jarred sauce. Will not be returning. read more

Chopsticks is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Kent. The food is delicious. Very friendly staff. Delivery is very fast. The house fried rice keeps me coming back. This is a wonderful place. read more

This place is the BEST! I can't say enough good things about it! Nice modern feel! Delicious food! Good prices! Excellent service! They are so friendly & accommodating...I have a 16 month old girl who is allergic to eggs which limits her options, not only do they have a children's menu...they made sure the selection we chose would be safe for her and egg free! We absolutely love the owner and the friendly service and we WILL be back!! It's no surprise they scored an EXCELLENT rating from the health department- I highly recommend this place! read more

If I could give 6 stars I would! This was an amazing experience!! The atmosphere was so amazing as soon as I entered. It smelled beautiful and the setting was exquisite. Our server was the nicest I've ever experienced somewhere and always had a smile on her face. We ordered the lunch specials and I was very happy with my decision. The amount of appetizers provided with the lunch special was the best. The soup had such a wonderful flavor and the chow mein was very savory too. I was very satisfied with the portions and the amount they cost. Overall I was EXTREMELY satisfied with the service and the food provided!! I will be returning! read more

Solid Chinese food. Not spectacular, but pretty good and they give you a lot for your money. One of those places where if you have 5 people you only need to order the combo meal for 3. And you'll probably still have leftovers. They also deliver within a pretty short range, so that's nice. It's not the best ever or anything but it's about as well as you're going to do in Kent. read more

We met up with family on Christmas Day for lunch here, as is our yearly tradition. We've always liked this place, but now we love it! The main differences are beautiful, modern, new decor and the food itself is delicious with fresh ingredients and flavorful - I normally find most Chinese food to be bland and salty. I love Julie, the new owner and her daughters (also servers), are personable and very attentive. Once a year is not enough. I'll have to make the effort to come back down here again! read more

I walked in with my brother and mother and was pleased with the ambience! Very elegant and the music was pleasant! The waitress was very friendly and service was superb! My husband and I came back for the first time after they remodeled the restaurant. I have to say, very impressed! It looks modern, clean and bright! We got greeted and seated right away. Love the new layout! The whole restaurant feels much more open than before. Food portion was prefect and reasonably priced! Menu has been updated. We had Salted Pepper Prawn, Kung Pao Chicken and Chow Mein. Shrimp was flavorful and peppery with a nice kick. The amount of the breading was just right. And the Chow Mein was very tasty. A little bit on the greasier side, but was perfectly fine with me. Kung Pao Chicken was very juicy and perfectly cooked! We will definitely come back and try more other dishes! read more

Honestly I wasn't expecting much, husband and I drove by on the way to Safeway and he just decided he wanted Chinese food. I'm not big on Kent food, but this place was amazing. I walked in and was instantly smacked in the face with just gorgeous decor and an amazing ambience. We ordered our food which was all very reasonably priced, and when it got to us our portions were huge!! Not to mention the waitress there was just top quality. She refilled our water 4 times! All together it was the quickest and best quality meal anywhere near its price point in all of Kent/Renton I've been to! read more

First time after new remodeled. New ownership so I gave it a shot! Atmosphere definitely feels like home. Great portion and decent price! Food are flavorful! Greeted by two sisters. Reviewing a restaurant, especially when you just do takeouts can be quite subjective. I have been going here only for takeouts for maybe last 3 years. I wanted to see if they were consistent in their "dishes" before posting a review I only ever get Chicken Fried Rice from here. And let me tell you, the fried rice is simply the BEST! You can tell them to make it spicy at varying levels if you wish.Their Chicken Fried rice is one of the best I have ever tasted! Although there was a period when I did 3 successive takeouts, where it looked like the fried rice "formula" wasn't the same anymore....they seemed to under cook it or perhaps reduce the flavor. I thought maybe the ownership/chef had changed. But since then it has been great again! I recently also tried Chicken with Black Bean sauce and it was pretty good too! I am sure if i tried few more dishes, my positive review may or may not be the same. But they sure deserve 5 stars based on my experience. As far as the service go I call them to place an order and every single time I get it on time when i arrive to pick it up. I have never dined in so I cant speak for that read more

Family combo B special. It's a ton of different food, it feeds my whole picky family. There is something for everyone and it's all delicious. In fact they don't make anything that I don't like, and I have had over 15 different dishes there over the years. This has been my go to Chinese Restaurant for almost 20 years. I would be heartbroken if they ever went out of business; it's part of my life now, lol. And they deliver, and he is a really nice guy. read more
