Hands down best sushi we've had on the south shore! Such a great time had by all at this lovely spot. Service was attentive and prompt- food came out quickly and looked beautiful (and tasted delicious!) Besides the 5 rolls in the picture, we also had a california roll, shrimp tempura roll, plus crag rangoon, seared gyoza, and summer roll appetizers. Clean plates all around - nothing was left. Highly recommend- will be back!

Awesome, awesome place on Front Street in Scituate. We sat at the bar and ordered just some lite bites such as their Tuna Roll which was pretty good, their Spring Rolls which were phenomenal and their Tuna Sashimi was also very good. The bar seats were so comfy and service was quick. I can't wait to come back here another time and try some other menu items. Cheers

Obsessed with this place! Our new go to sushi place on the south shore. We love sitting outside in the warm weather but last time also really enjoyed sitting at the sushi bar. The crab Rangoons, angry dragon roll and spicy tuna lobster roll are our favorites

This will be a 2 part review. Part 1 is 5 stars. Looking for some place different for lunch in Scituate and stumbled across Chopsticks and Forks. First time and definitely won't be our last. Great menu with Chinese, Japanese and Thai dishes. Nice comfortable clean atmosphere. Open kitchen. Our waitress Vivian was pleasant, friendly, courteous, attentive and professional. Decided to have some sushi and asked Vivian for some recommendations. Did not disappoint. Part 2 is 2 stars. As I mentioned I would return and did so on Saturday night yesterday. As we got to the restaurant, it was crowded. No social distancing in this place. There were people everywhere including those who were waiting for their take out orders. The servers, wait staff and other customers had problems negotiating around everyone and every table. As we checked in and gave our name, we were told it will be 5 minutes for a table for us. 30 minutes later and while tables were open and occupied, we were still waiting. Then we were seated by the door. Waitress gave us a menu with a pencil and took our drink orders. I guess we were suppose to check of the dishes we wanted on their menu. Took another 10 minutes before the waitress took our order. This time we ordered entrees, scallops and asparagus and chicken pad Thai as well as a couple of rolls of sushi for appetizers. It took over an hour, hour and 20 before any of our dishes arrived. And it's not like they don't have enough help. Plenty of help and plenty of standing around. So the entrees were what I consider small plates in some places and for the price , it was worth it. And as far as taste, the pad Thai was bland. The peanuts was just a dusting. $16. The scallops and asparagus $26, 6 small well done scallops and very peppery. The sushi were also just ok compared to my first time there. Thus averaging my 3 stars rating. Definitely not rushing back here for dinner. Maybe lunch. Maybe.

Well I was absolutely delighted with our choice for lunch out today…read more Missy was our server and was just wonderful.. a seasoned server for sure. I wasn't starving so I ordered an app. I saw the a great looking plate on someone's table behind us and asked what they were eating.. they said the tuna tartar and that it was really delicious.. that's all I needed to hear. He ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The food came quickly. My tartar was crazy delish. I couldn't wait to write this review for them. His burger was very good. All in all we had a great time. I had chance to speak with one of the managers who had told me the restaurant has gone through many changes.. like a new head chef. Hats off to him and the restaurant in general!

We had to wave her down for another order of drinks while we waited at least an hour for the food. My clam roll was decent but nothing exciting. Two of the party ordered the fish tacos that arrived cold and one got the Cobb salad that had wilted sitting in dressing for so long. Waitress never came back after receiving our food. Finally had to wave her down to pay the bill . Needless to say , won't be back.

On a recent visit, our hosts said we have to go to our hangout…read more The Oysterman. We ended up here for both a happy hour and lunch, and the food, cocktails, and service exceeded my expectations. The fish and chips rivaled what I had while visiting Seattle. The fish was perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter that wasn't greasy at all. During our happy hour, I indulged in the fried oysters, and they were cooked to perfection. You could tell they were fresh and expertly prepared. If you're looking for a great happy hour, lunch, brunch, or dinner, Oysterman is a great choice! They do get busy, and if you are arriving with a large party, plan on reservations. They do have a separate bar area and a patio.

True to their name, they offer fresh local oysters, as well as littleneck clams, shrimp, and of course, locally caught fish. On our first HH visit, I ordered the Duxbury-sourced oysters. They were sweet as sugar and a tad briny, Perfecto. Plus one ordered fried oysters, and they were fried perfectly. Since our golf match was rained out, we stopped by for lunch. My fish tacos were on point. The cod was so tender, and the cole slaw was a perfect accompaniment. Plus one ordered fish and chips, and according to live feedback, they were as good as the ones she had in Seattle. Lightly breaded tender haddock equals 5-stars! She judges all fish and chips by the one she experienced in Seattle! Service is on point, and we rarely, if ever had to flag down our bartenders for refills. They do have a full bar and an interesting (in a good way) wine list. The main bar area does get busy, but there is a satellite bar area and a patio. Sports are king here, and they have multiple TVs, so it's easy to catch a game or catch up on the sports news of the day. ,

Everything looked & smelled so good, I couldn't even stop to take pictures for this review. The spicy crunchy tuna poke bowl was so big & fresh. Smash burger & fries were picture perfect. Great little spot for fresh sushi and more -- not "salty" at all!…read more I'm happy to say that Salty Days is one of the good speciality seafood places that you could count on one hand in the South Shore. The sushi rolls are hearty and could make a meal in and of itself. Fish was fresh, but I found the flavors in the rolls a bit muddled and on the sweeter side. We had honey and mango in our rolls that accounted for the sweetness, but I would have appreciated some acid or perhaps more salt (ironically) to cut it. I also sampled a poke bowl. Tuna was tasty and appreciated the texture of the crunchy bits. Service was friendly -- although they taunted us a bit as the TV on the wall had a live stream of a bar in St. John's. Want to know what that's about. Came once before early on and service and portions felt a bit off -- no longer -- they are learning and appear to be hitting their stride. On a side note, if you are like me, you're a bit confused why Greater Boston has nice seaside towns but don't lean enough into the ocean's flavor. A great omikase and sake is still not happening outside of Boston, unfortunately (if I'm wrong, tell me where).

Let's start with the oysters, at $24 for half a dozen the actual oyster size was the size of a quarter (at best) very disappointing. I asked our waitress where the oyster came from and she said Duxbury and I asked what farm and she didn't know. You would think management would educate their wait staff. The fried calamari would get a C+, (best part of meal), my wife and I each got the Fish N Chips... batter came out dark brown, it looks like they haven't changed their oil in the fry-o-later for a long time, which ruined the experience, the fish was just ok once you found it. My daughters $42 steak was ordered medium rare and came out medium well, it was sent back and when the replacement dish came out the remaining 5 of us were finishing our dinners and get this, the steak was still over cooked so they took it off our bill. My sons pappardelle and short rib was so so, and his girlfriends salmon was "just ok" With a $593 bill this was a very poor dining experience. A pile of indistinguishable items, a massive pile of a cold cut, some pate, and smears of things or condiments. The juices of the items ran together, which made for a very unappetizing sight/ taste. I had ordered the salmon, and my guest ordered the cannelloni. On top of the cannelloni was the greasiest deep fried greens, which was a heart attack waiting to happen. The cannelloni was swimming in the most disgusting sauce, which was broken and not properly emulsified. Needless to say, it was not touched.. The salmon was so incredibly small, it may have been only 4oz, overcooked, dried. The asparagus was over grilled and charred. Service was odd, started off with a young server, then we were ignored for quite some time, then another server appeared and took over. It was just odd. I had heard good things about this establishment, but it seems that more attention was being lavished on the Bar, and not the dining room.
