Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Great place. Can't wait to return! Our party of 12 was well pleased!

I loved my dinner at Chop'd! I came with my husband for a date night. While we opted for indoor seating, it's still late summer and they have patio seating outdoors with live music. It's a great vibe and the place was bustling with families, large groups celebrating something special, date nights, and the like. We ordered: His cocktail: Rye Not My cocktail: Tangerine Slice App: Whipped Ricotta and Honey App: Dipper Fries His main: Chop'd Burger My main: Cajun Pesto Pasta There are a bunch of TVs inside and a huge bar with seating. I was amazed at how huge their space was. Chop'd shares an entrance with Khaos Brewcade on the other side, and their space is large enough for private parties etc. I can imagine this place being booked for showers, birthdays, really any occasion with a big group. Their food was delicious, their drinks were strong, their service was quick and friendly. It's a local neighborhood establishment that folks have as their go-to, is the sense that I got. I only have great things to say! Next time I'd love to get their Devil's 3 Way Burger (topped with jalapeno poppers, ghost pepper cheese, and a spicy avocado spread)... and also their Buffalo Chicken Wrap... and also their Pasta ala Vodka. My eyes had a bigger appetite than my stomach and it was hard to choose between all the options, their Cajun Pesto Pasta was a home run. The chicken breast was blackened with the spice rub and it had a zippy spice that was delicious. I could never bread and cook a chicken breast that wasn't dry and was so tender. Compliments to the chef! Their drink menu is extensive and there are so many creative cocktails (my drink section of choice). The tangerine slice was tasty and was served with a candied hibiscus flower. I also contemplated the espresso martini... this place is like an adult beverage amusement park. If we didn't have a baby to pick up from grandma's (who graciously babysat so we could have a date night), we would've each had a few more rounds. I love this place, we will be back!

Nice spacious restaurant with tons of seating both inside and outside on a patio. Great if you need a spot where you don't feel cramped at all with lots of tables that are spaced nicely from one another, tons of parking, and fairly nice bathroom facilities. The service is also quick and friendly. The prices are reasonable here for the large portion sizes that you get. Though there could be a bit more variety on the menu, the options do cover a good variety of options from pizzas to sandwiches to pastas and even some entrees. The food here is surprisingly good with nice flavor combinations and fairly food textures. On the pasta alla vodka, the sauce had a good level of spiciness and creaminess to it that helped to combine all the elements together. On the chop'd burger, the meat was cooked to a good tender texture with a good mix of sweet and savory that gave the burger a nice rich flavor which was served with crispy chips. The smoked bbq chicken pizza was a surprisingly large size with a nice thick layer of cheeses and a crust that was airy and very crispy. Overall, good option for hanging out with friends in the area with tasty food.

Other than the seasonal power bowl which was very soupy and sad, we always enjoy their pizza, love the cheese curds and the service has always been good here.

My wife and I stopped in last week for dinner. We opted to sit on the patio for dinner and the live music. Everything was great! Food and service and ambiance were all really nice. I had the Reuben Sandwich and the fries. Sandwich was pretty standard for a Reuben but good. Fries were also really good and I love the way they were cut. Wife had the pasta with shrimp and she also really liked it. Music was a bit loud but maybe I attribute that to sitting pretty close to the speaker. In all, we really enjoyed it and will definitely be back when in the area.

I was in the mood for a burger and found Chop'd on Yelp and decided to give it a try. The first thing that strikes you is how big the restaurant is. There is also additional seating available outside. I got the Chop'd burger. It was cooked a little less than medium and came with bacon jam and a blue cheese sauce. It was very sweet and tasted amazing. The chips were dusted with ranch seasoning and tasted fresh. We had peanut butter chocolate cake for dessert. It was very rich and was a great way to finish our meal. Chop'd is a great American restaurant and comes highly recommended!

My family and I had dinner here and it was a pretty decent place. The inside of the restaurant is an odd space but it has a really great looking patio. When you walk in, there is a bar to the left with about 20 arcade games, which was a lot of fun. I ate the steak umm and got tater tots to accompany it. It was very good. My wife ate the crab bread for her meal which was good and my daughter had the sliders and sprouts. I tried the sprouts and they had a nice light chili sauce on them. I had the tropical palm cocktail and really found it tasty. My favorite part of our dinner was the server we had was exceptional. Service is hard to review as I find it to be more dynamic than food quality and ambiance but I wanted to spend more time discussing it as I really thought it was great. I hope the next time we eat there we get the same server and that we find her just as great.

But I like the strawberry lemon the most. Got the eggs Benedict with the smoked salmon. Came with a side of potatoes and peppers. Then ended with the sticky toffee pudding. Definitely recommend as it melts into your mouth. The waiters were really nice and was able to do split checks with no issues. We figured it would have been the perfect way to top off our evening. For first-timers it might be hard trying to find the speakeasy since at first I thought you had to access it from the Busy Street and walk up three flights of stairs. Actually you just walk inside of the Embers building, find the elevator that's kind of hidden and take it to the Third floor. I thought that the little trip up felt exclusive already. Once you're at the third floor you are treated to a beautiful array of scenery. Exit to your left and you were treated to the bar and some great tables with a cozy, intimate setting. I'm not sure if it was open seating since there was a little podium right off the elevator so we just sat ourselves. Some speakeasies require a certain dress code to keep up with the times. This one thankfully was casual though many people dressed business casual. We actually loved how the staff dressed as well. I have to try their Japanese sex drink and I absolutely loved every ship that I took. The drinks are fairly price. They did have a food menu but it was mainly snacks and small plates that were a bit overpriced. If we're having a large Gathering they have a big private room next door. This place does have a lot of great events going on as well with their upcoming Valentine's Day event that looks really interesting. It does get pretty busy as well after 7:00 p.m. from our experience. Overall, I was excited and enjoyed our visit coming to the 933 speakeasy!

O.M.B. (ONE MAGNIFICENT BURGER)…read more Their name doesn't say it, but Next Whiskey Bar serves an incredible burger. I know my way around a sandwich, and I have to say the offerings at NWB in downtown Plainfield are some of the best around. Look for the blue & white house on Lockport St, and you'll know you've found it. NWB doesn't take reservations, however you can join an online waitlist. Park on the street or in a small lot adjacent to the building. The beer selection is fantastic, a pint ($8) never disappoints although I usually lean towards a Hefeweizen or pilsner with my meal. Yeah yeah, I know this is a WHISKEY bar, but yours truly doesn't do the brown liquor.....bad experience with Jägermeister as a kid. For appetizers, the cheese curds ($14) are pricey but oh-so-worth it. They come with a cilantro aioli and we get an order of these every single visit. The cauliflower popcorn ($11) is also a very worthy choice for starters; roasted and seasoned cauliflower florets are served with a sumptuous clarified butter. Their house NWB Burger ($16.50) is a busy affair, with pork belly, bbq sauce, onion straws and cheese curds on a pretzel bun. The Big Jer ($15.25) is a much simpler yet equally stellar burger with 2x4oz patties, lettuce, tomato, and Merkt's cheddar spread served with a pickle spear. I recently tried the Suribachi ($15.50) and it blew my mind. A 1/2lb patty is lightly fried in tempura batter, then topped with pepperjack cheese, wasabi coleslaw and sriracha on a brioche bun. Next time, I'm giving the El Toro a shot (pickled habaneros, corn guac). My wife loves the pork belly mac ($16), a good portion of cheesy cavatappi pasta with crispy pork belly. Their Cubano ($15) is solid and the Taylor Street panini ($15) is a tasty Italian grinder, with prosciutto, salami, provolone, lettuce, tomato and olive spread on focaccia bread. NWB's homemade chips are amazing, I always opt for them instead of fries (which are also great). Bread = 5+ Circuses = 4.5 Service has been generally fine, but last visit it took a long time for our server to come by initially. The inside of this converted house is somewhat cramped so if the weather allows, I suggest dining 'al fresco'. Their outdoor patio definitely passes the vibe check. I honestly can't decide whose doughnuts are better, Empire in Naperville or Next Whiskey Bar's. It might be a tie! In any case, we ALWAYS end a meal here with the fried doughnuts ($11) that come with a heavenly whiskey caramel sauce for dipping. * TL;DR * In my mind, NWB stands for "Nirvana, With Burgers". Everything we've gotten here has exceeded expectations. Cheese curds, cauliflower popcorn, pork belly pasta, doughnuts and of course burgers all stand out. I would get the Suribachi again in a HEARTBEAT. The ambiance is ideal for date night and small groups, and with a small dining area that fills up fast, come early or expect a wait. Next Whiskey Bar is one of my favorite restaurants in the western suburbs, I highly recommend them.

Getting a couple spots to sit was also easy. Getting and keeping anyone's attention was not as easy. It was a busy-ish Trivia Tuesday and they seemed to be well staffed but both people behind the bar that we tried to make contact with breezed past us a lot. Despite that, we did eventually try the $5 margaritas which packed a nice punch. We also went with a pepperoni wrapped and deep fried cheese stick. Clearly not a premade product from somewhere else...the sauce was great while the cheese stick lacked pepperoni flavor even though we clearly saw some in there. It was more boring flavor wise than expected but a really great concept! Our Foo pizza was ordered without the cilantro but also arrived without the jalapeños. Again, another great concept but this one lacked on the execution side of things. Not enough BBQ sauce at all (I'm not a huge sauce girl, but this was way too light), soooo many fried onion strings clumped together (and I love fried onions...soooo), missing the spicy component in error.... But the crust was great and cooked nicely, the pulled pork was delicious when you found a bite, the bacon cooked perfectly and the pineapple portion was good. Why four stars instead of three? Clearly they're using quality ingredients. This is huge to me! Restaurant felt, looked and smelled clean. Conceptually they've got some awesome menu items that make me want to come back and we already mentioned to friends of ours. And the drinks were solid. We will take a different approach next time and hopefully add this one to the rotation.
