Our first visit to Chomp was great! We reserved a table on the water view Patio, and after about a 10-15 minute wait past our reservation time, our table was available. The view of the harbor is gorgeous and we really enjoyed watching the sunset. We ordered the Loaded Potato Skin appetizer, which was delicious and then an assortment of burgers and chicken sandwiches. Everything was cooked perfectly, was very tasty, and was served nice and hot. I got the "Just a Schmear" fried chicken sandwich and it was so good - plenty of seasoned cream cheese and crispy fried chicken. We stayed for dessert drinks which were also delicious - an espresso martini, Baileys on the rocks, and a house created cocktail with coconut, pineapple, and espresso. Definitely going back here when in the area!

Been wanting to come here for a while and finally got the chance. Kicking myself for not coming sooner. If you like craft beer and sandwiches you have to wash your hands after eating (and I do), then this is the right place! Beer menu is top notch. Predominately IPAs on draft but there are a few lagers and even a stout. They even have their own brew made by one of the best breweries in RI so you know I had to try it! Service was terrific! If I go back I'd try to sit in Aubrey's section again. She was energetic and happy and that helped elevate the experience. Sandos were exactly what I was expecting. I had the southern comfort, wife had the grilled chicken and son had the burger. All were cooked perfectly and spot on. There was perhaps a bit too much Brie on the grilled, but that's just a matter of preference, not necessarily a negative. The tots were crispy but not the best I've ever had. Fries were as expected. We ate inside and it was bright and airy. They had a few TVs with some sports on, but not so many that it brought down the ambience to sports bar levels. Everything was clean and the water bottles for the table add a nice touch.

What can I say about Chomp? It's been one of my favorite restaurants since they opened, and somehow they keep getting better. We started with the crab Rangoon mozzarella sticks, and I wish I had snapped a photo but we devoured them too fast! They were insanely good, creative, crispy, and packed with flavor. The chef continues to blow me away with her originality and execution. I'm a total sucker for a banh mi, so I went with that, even though it was a tough choice (everything on the menu is tempting). It was absolutely delicious--balanced, fresh, and full of bold flavor. To top it off, I had a flight of beer, and every selection was top-notch. They always have a solid beer list that pairs perfectly with their food. The new Warren location is absolutely beautiful, spacious, stylish, and welcoming. Chomp will forever be in my top five favorite restaurants in Rhode Island. If you haven't been, go ASAP.

We were traveling and found this gem on Yelp. It did not disappoint! Our Server Sarah was an absolute DELIGHT! Funny, personable and attentive! The place is open and bright and has plenty of seating inside and outside. And the food... omg the food. Every single thing was incredible. The wings were ginormous, they were able to accommodate a gluten allergy with a gluten free bun (win!) and our server sold us on the Philly Roast Pork sandwich and we were so glad she did. Kudos to this establishment. Hopefully we will come through again and stop in

I recently went for lunch on a Friday with a friend. I ordered a smash burger and she ordered a fried chicken sandwich, which I regret not ordering as well. The burger patty was thicker than I expected a smash burger to be and the inside was too pink. I added crsipy onions to the burger and those added great flavor and crunch. Like most places, the portions are big so I was unable to finish the burger. Another reason I would order the chicken sandwich instead next time is because it would probably be better leftover. The fries were crispy and salted well but not over seasoned. The inside is cute but wooden booths aren't the comfiest. Our waitress was nice but quick and didn't offer much insight into the menu.

I stopped in for a quick lunch with my family at Chomp and it was excellent. I had the Chomp Braciole Burger and it was outstanding. Cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The beer selection was solid and gave plenty of good options. The vibe inside was relaxed and welcoming. Service was friendly and on point from start to finish. All three of us loved our meals and left happy. I would absolutely come back again.

Just was here for lunch. First, the noise in this place is off the charts. The bathroom is the WORST. Holy loud music blasting. Beer selection is decent. My margarita was delicious and the Brussels sprouts were excellent. This fried BBQ chicken burger with dill fries and Chomp sauce, sounds flavorful, right? None. Not seasoned. High hopes based on reviews and how good things sounded.

Never had a bad experience in Chomp. Food is always excellent, great portion sizes. The place is always clean, love their little displays and shirts they have available. Bartenders and staff always super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I know if I ever see Jack at the bar he will make a great recommendation

Chomp has a great ambience with beautiful decor and a clean look. The food is reasonably priced for the high quality and portion size. I would definitely come here again!

Perfect portion, seasoned well with some spicy kick and a good crisp bottom as well, I will never forget about that burger. Got the guac on the side to eat with my chips which was a nice touch. We came in, was greeted by the hostess, she was very nice. She told us we could go in the back and have drinks and an app while we waited for our table. Great! A waitress came by, took our order for drinks and app. She was very nice and cheery. We hoped to get her as the waitress. So far, so good right? We were sat and our nachos came out just as we just settled in which was good. I was disappointed that expediter didn't bother to get us plates or recognize that we needed them. She left before I could say anything so I had to flag her down for them. She did get them quickly. For some reason, the waitresses were all over the back table of loud girls. It appeared they were showering them with attention going back and forth all different waitresses. The place is incredibly loud, it was tough to have a conversation with my girlfriend while we. We tried several times to make any sort of eye contact with the staff to let them know we needed drinks and failed. Eventually, we stood up, walked over and asked a waitress for some waters. A waitress came to the table and gave us waters and asked if we wanted drinks but let her know we had already put them in. She seemed annoyed by us, even though we didn't do anything other than tell her we already had drinks in and that we may order some other things soon. Nobody ever came by to check on us even though they came every 2 minutes to gab with the back table. My girlfriend and I didn't really like the nachos. She felt the chili was burnt and I thought it was too salty. We were still hungry and going to ask for entrees, but we were so annoyed with feeling neglected that we decided to go elsewhere. I asked for a box for my food and the waitress said she'd be back and went and talked with the other table again for what seemed like an eternity. At that point we just wanted to leave and eat somewhere else. When she came back after a while I was like... Oh! There you are! And she took my payment. I hate not leaving tips, but I was aggravated. We shouldn't have to get up and ask for what we need. This was upsetting.

We ordered the mini stuffies, the hummus plate, and the fried pickles. The mini stuffies were a highlight. Loaded with Mello's chouriço and packed with flavor, they're a solid little bite. My grandfather set the bar pretty high for me on stuffies, and these came close. They have a different profile than what I grew up with; a little less bready, more chouriço forward, and the clam flavor takes a back seat. Not necessarily a complaint, they were just different from what I'm used to and were genuinely tasty. The lemon aioli on top was also a nice touch. The fried pickles were exactly what you want them to be. Crispy, well fried, and the breading actually stayed put while you ate them, which is more than I can say for a lot of fried pickles. They came with the same lemon aioli as the stuffies, which worked just as well here. The hummus plate was a bit of a letdown. We've had it many times before and it used to be a standout. This time the hummus itself was thick and pretty flavorless, more like a dense chickpea paste than anything else. The accompaniments were nice though and consisted of heirloom carrots, cucumbers, olives, cherry tomatoes, asparagus, pickled cauliflower, carrot, and a pepperoncini, all served alongside some buttery round crackers that were like a Ritz cracker's more refined cousin. The veggies saved the plate, but the hummus needs to find its way back. I suppose it could have just been an off batch and won't prevent us from trying it again. Cocktails were great, as usual. I had the Anana with scotch. I love pineapple and this has muddled pineapple and basil, pineapple juice, cracked black pepper. It's my go-to here and it delivered again. My partner went adventurous and ordered the Jungle Booby, which is built around tequila blanco and mezcal with campari, pineapple, grapefruit, lime, orgeat, and an absinthe spritz. The flavors were genuinely good, but the smokiness from the mezcal was a bit much for her taste. She followed it up with a glass of rosé and had no complaints after that. The cocktail wasn't the problem, it just wasn't her style. One of our favorite spots in Warren for a quick nibble, for a good reason.

Metacom Kitchen is a cozy, intimate bistro, and if you haven't been, you're missing out. The atmosphere pulls you in immediately; warm, unhurried, with just the right amount of low lighting. Behind the bar you'll find a handsome Parisian bartender crafting some of the most thoughtful cocktails around. On this particular visit, that meant an extra dirty gin martini and a chai old fashioned. Both were perfect. My partner and I love to graze, rather than commit to one big entrée, when we can. My partner's family calls it bits and bobs, and that is what we did on this particular visit. We ordered the Duck Plate featuring duck three ways, some picked veggies, a fruit mustard, and grilled focaccia crostini. The Candy Beets & Salsify, which featured jewel-toned beet cubes scattered across what can only be described as a snow of barrel aged feta, roasted salsify (I had to look these up and apparently, they are somewhere between a parsnip and a carrot with an almost oyster like flavor when cooked), topped with some fresh green herbs. The dish was so pretty I almost didn't want to eat it. The Chickpea Fries are exactly what they sound like, and are somehow so much more; golden, crispy little logs served with an A1 aioli that you will not stop eating. The Coriander & Sea Salt Chicken Wings rounded things out; a pile of beautifully seasoned wings with caramelized onions and thyme, paired with a spicy buttermilk dipping sauce that had just the right amount of heat. Everything was absolutely delicious, which is honestly an understatement. We never save room for dessert and that was the plan this time too, until someone nearby ordered a crème brûlée and my partner's head spun around. That's her kryptonite. The version that night had Kahlua in it, which is usually not our thing; but the torched top was a beautiful lacquered brown, the custard underneath was silky, and wow, we were scraping the ramekin. Chef Allaire really knows his stuff. He creates small, decadent bites with ingredients you'd never think to pair, and somehow it all makes perfect sense on the plate. If you're feeling adventurous, make a reservation for Mystery Monday, where a three-course dinner is crafted for you on the spot. Pescatarians and other dietary preferences are accommodated if you let them know ahead of time. It fills up fast, so plan accordingly. I've always felt that a smaller menu leads to higher quality, and it's clear the kitchen is focused on doing each dish well. They have a daily menu, and I've had some friends suggest this place as their favorite restaurant. We parked blocks away due to the lack of adequate parking. Once we walked in, we were greeted with pleasant smiles from the staff. The menu was short, which we attributed to a focus on quality. We ordered a French onion dip and a littleneck entree as an app for the table. We were served with lukewarm water, neither cold nor hot. The apostle John might have been somewhat disappointed (Rev 3:16). The dip was decent but was somewhat lacking in great onion flavor. But nothing to complain about. The little necks were served in a small bowl and lacked a bit of salt. Rather pricey for $26, but this place charges $6 just for bread and butter, so maybe it's just inflation? Enter the entrees. They apparently were short on chicken legs so they asked to substitute chicken breast. Two of us got burgers. First the $20 burgers, which were served with an aioli with no offer of ketchup or other condiments. In short, both burgers were terrible. Far worse than we make at home. It's always a disappointment when you realize you're paying all this extra for food you can make better at home. The buns were shockingly flat, like someone smashed them by hand. Or in a McDonald's box. Come to think of it, the flavor was similar, though overall the hamburger was somewhat bitter, salty and lacked an appetizing flavor. Wow. We all agreed they were terrible. The fries were also burnt and over salted. My daughter quit on her $30 chicken, so I tried it. The sauce wasn't bad, and it was served with a decent brocollini. But the chicken was some of the driest I've had in a restaurant, with no crisp skin and a uniformly poor texture. No wonder no one finished their entrees. And I hate wasting food. So, as much as we would have wanted to give this place a great rating, we just won't be back. The service, although with a smile, was slow and terrible. Our candle burnt out in the middle of dinner. It was never relit. Our glasses were empty halfway through dinner. No refills on the tepid water. The entrees took an hour and a half before they came out (we were warned the chicken could take 30 min). Generally a very disappointing experience. Hard to explain the rave reviews but our Saturday dinner was a sad bust. The cold wet madeleines they provided in a doggie bag didn't do anything to help. Oh well. Hope y'all have a better experience if you go here.

We were having a lovely dinner in Warren and stopped into Bywater for a quick after-dinner drink. It was a bit cooler out but since they had no seats in the extremely limited bar area, we took the plunge and sat outside near their fire pits. They did not have many wines to choose from BTG which was disappointing. The one I had which was Cinsault was just ok. I had to dump out most of it since I did not enjoy it but that was my fault since sampling it I thought I liked it. My friend had the bartender make her a cocktail with grapefruit since they did not have pineapple. She was looking for a French martini but seemed to enjoy what they made her. My husband's espresso martini was very good I thought and light but could've used some bailey's. We already had dessert so we did not plan on anything else but I know I am interested in returning for dinner. The restaurant is very small inside but I loved the warm lights and decor. It was a very sexy and attractive vibe! If you are ever in Warren I highly recommend coming here for either drinks, dinner, or both. Dress warm if you plan on heading outside to sit near the fire...it does not give off that much heat! Cheers!

The menu & reviews looked promising. I'm glad we had reservations, as they were packed on a Saturday night. I was pleased that we were seated within 5 minutes. I was also pleased that their huge booth fit 4 of us comfortably & they were happy to add a chair at the end for our 5th guest. A basket of warm rolls was immediately placed on our table. The large menu had something for everyone in every price range. We started with drinks, all of which were good. My companion & I shared a bottle of Clean Slate Riesling ($33) which we enjoyed. She & I both ordered the baked sea scallop special, which came with 2 dinner sides for $24.99. The scallops were delicious but I would have been happier if my baked potato & steamed broccoli had been cooked just a few minutes longer. They were edible, just not quite as soft as I prefer. Our friends enjoyed their meals... citrus swordfish (also one of the specials), French onion soup & salad, and a chicken salad sandwich. My companion & I shared a piece of lemon meringue pie for dessert, which was good. It wasn't as big a serving as at some restaurants, but it was enough. I have no idea of the cost as prices are not listed on the dessert menu, a practice I dislike. I also didn't like the fact that I asked for a fork as I don't like eating cake or pie with a spoon & was told I couldn't have one as they were all needed. Our friends enjoyed their peanut butter pie & coconut cake. Our server was adequate. We had to chase her down to ask for water, lemon, etc. I understand she was very busy but a smile would have been nice. I do appreciate the fact that we were not rushed out, and we were allowed plenty of time to catch up with our friends. Also, the hostess was gracious enough to take a photo of our group as we were leaving the restaurant. This restaurant used to be the Country Inn on Market Street in Warren. They have a decent sized parking lot, although it seemed barely sufficient for the amount of volume they do. I would rate this restaurant a 3.5 if I had that option. Will I return? Probably not.

The wait was long(ish) but it was worth it. (I'd recommend a reservation though!!) Food was…read moredelicious and the servings were plentiful. I got the chicken and waffles which was enough for dinner and lunch the next day-- the waffles were SO GOOD (some of the best I've had) and the sweet potato fries were delicious. My friends got burgers which they loved. The tables are big and spaced out and comfortable. Ambiance is good and somewhere in between classy and casual. Totally recommend!
