Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk staff named Susanna at the Downey office has been very disappointing. On two consecutive days, I had interactions with the same staff member, Susanna, and both experiences left me feeling dismissed and disrespected. The first time, I called with a simple question about the insurance authorization process for an upcoming procedure because I genuinely didn't know how it worked. Instead of politely explaining the process, I was spoken to in a rude, impatient tone that made me feel as though I shouldn't have asked the question. The following day, I called to ask if my appointment could be moved from 9:40 AM to an earlier 8:30 AM slot because I was concerned about Friday morning traffic. I was immediately told there was no availability. I could totally tell that she wasn't checking. So I called the Arcadia call center just a few minutes later, they found the 8:30 AM appointment without any problem and changed it for me. When I called the Downey office back Susanna to ask about the discrepancy, I received different explanations, "Maybe someone just canceled it" and instead of a sincere apology, I was told, "My bad." Everyone can make mistakes. That wasn't what upset me the most. It was the repeated dismissive attitude, lack of professionalism, and feeling that my concerns as a patient were not taken seriously. Should I have to ask for the phone representative's name just to hold someone accountable so appointments aren't changed without notice? I came right on time at 10am but called to go inside at 10.35 am. They said they were little behind with the schedule. Also I wish they have good selection of the eyeglasses. Their selection and variations very low and more like standard basic one. One of the worker told me they have little selection since elderly come more often. So if you want luxury trendy glasses I don't think you able to find it here. Just ask the prescription and take it somewhere else like LensCrafters or Warby Parker. I'm pretty sure they take most insurance but make sure first to ask. I'm pretty glad I don't need to pay any copay.

Their parking lot is pretty small and the entrance and exit are very narrow, so be careful driving and parking here. There is a light to get in and out of their business and it is needed as the street is busy. Even though spaces are limited, we have always been able to get a spot. If a patient doesn't pick up their prescription eye wear, which they need to see, then don't you think you should be more diligent and call to follow up. and again instead of taking accountability and apologize she just said "well we're short staffed." And this wasn't the first issue since my original review in Google where I did give them a 5star review. My husband also had an issue when he came and it took them over two months to finally tell him that the lab wasn't equipped to work with the frames he selected.
