Shittiest racist place ever. I called to schedule an appointment for Thursday, but they told me they were fully booked, so I scheduled for Wednesday of the same week instead. I booked an appointment for Wednesday at 8 AM and confirmed it with the female staff member at the front desk over the phone. I wasted my time driving there and arrived exactly at my scheduled time on Wednesday. They claimed they called my name, then told me I didn't have an appointment until the next day because they had changed my appointment to Thursday without informing me directly -- only through a text message. I was never clearly notified, so I assumed my appointment was still on Wednesday. Do customers really have to do their job by repeatedly confirming appointments to make sure the schedule is correct? Should I have to ask for the phone representative's name just to hold someone accountable so appointments aren't changed without notice? Whoever the female staff member at the front needs to get fired. This was a mistake on their end. This place is terrible and filled with incompetent staff. Please DO NOT come here. read more

Do not waste your time with this place, they treat the elderly people very mean!! BEWARE: DO NOT LET YOUR PARENTS GO ALONE!! One of the front desk ladies (Cindy) is so rude and disrespectful, she acts like she owns the place she will put you on hold for no reason turn around and start chit chatting so unprofessional also heard her talking bad about the patients. The young lady in the optical department also raised her voice at patients, in a rush to get the patient out of her way. Lack of management in this office. Maybe hire a more friendly staff. I had such a run around about seeing an eye surgeon. 1st appointment was cancelled. Next appointment I was there for nearly 2 hours and had to schedule another appointment that I got a call to reschedule, which I did. After giving this office much more thought and much research I found another optometrist just 10 mins away who accepted my HMO. I sat for only a couple of minutes, saw the optometrist who referred me to a surgeon and will see him in a couple of weeks. WARNING- Don't waste your time there!!! read more

My parents pay their own insurance and they went for an appointment here. They were rude and disrespectful. First time going and not going back ever!!!! I had to call and ask them to delete authorization and I spoke with Monset and she didn't want to help me and was very rude and raising her voice. I had to raise mine and insist her to delete authorization. I told her that to lower her tone that I was a customer, she said she would when I would. I reminded her that I was a customer and she was trying to dismiss me when I was trying to explain things to her. They are very rude and don't have no customer service experience at allll! Would not take my mother here again. When walking in, i could tell certain staff have an attitude such as the front desk receptionist. It's very subtle, but I can tell shes giving attitude. Only the patient can enter when testing which is understandable due to Covid, but i feel uncomfortable seeing how the staff talk to the elderly. Will call insurance to ask to move to another eye care facility due to staff having an unprofessional matter while talking to patients. read more

Came here for my first eye exam visit, it was okay (not the best). The front desk workers could do a better job at giving clear instructions/assistance. They are nice but I found my self getting the run around just to get glasses. You spend a long time waiting for service for glasses. They do a first come first serve (no appointments?). I've got something going on with my left eye and wanted to have someone check it out. I scheduled an appointment for last week. I had to take a vacation day due to my appt being at 2 pm. I show up, pay my $15 co-pay, fill out all the forms and wait. About an hour after arriving I'm taken to the exam room. The woman is asking questions about the problem, then drops the bomb.... they are going to dilate my eyes and I won't be able to see or drive for 5 hours! WTH?!? She says "Yeah that's what we do with EVERY patient who comes here"... as if I should have known that. No one told me anything about this when I scheduled the appointment, so how would I know, right? Had I known I would have arranged for a ride home. They give me the option of rescheduling and I do. They also refund my $15 co-pay, nice! OVERALL: Lack of communication on their part caused a wasted vacation day and a half-a-day of my time. 3 stars because they refunded my co-pay $$. read more

Ok, so when you doctor refers you to an optometrist, in particular a specialist, you assume they know since all your documents were sent over right??? Wrong! After waiting over an hour to be called in, mind you I have a huge bomb on my left eyelid and it took them a week to schedule me. They wanted to dilate my eyes and drop god know what into my poor eye ball. No, I'm not here for that, I'm here because of this huge bump on my eyelid ! Finally a regular optometrist, who poked around came in.... and to my surprise told me I needed to see a specialist! No way! Really? Now...... I have to wait 1 month to see a specialist! Looking for a new location for an eye examination and came across Atlantis as part of my in-network insurance option. My very first experience was a 30 minute wait on the phone before a live person answered my call during regular business hours. Then was put back on hold for an extended amount of time and hung up after 11 minutes. I decided to drive to the office a few days later to make an in-person appointment which took another half hour. Many businesses are struggling with staffing shortages to provide service and support to their customers, but not the case here. When I walked into the office I saw there were FOUR girls working behind the desk. The receptionist was not friendly at all and had a "matter of fact" attitude, very cold and unprofessional demeanor. I am sure the doctors are great but my initial interaction at the front desk and on the phone made me think twice as a NEW customer did I want to subject myself to this type of service. read more

I had a great experience here with my mother yesterday (especially because she is so picky and takes forever!!) The optician Dayana showed so much patience and knowledge and didn't even bat an eye that my mom tried on like 80 pairs of glasses. Her service was so excellent I had to leave a review not many people take that much time and dedication to a person. Plus it's my mom I love to see her happy and treated well. The doctor (huynh) was very good. He answered all my questions. The tech (Jana) was very polite and helpful. She really made me feel at ease. Rosa was the last person I dealt with on my visit. She was great. She answered my questions, explained my benefits and showed me glasses. Overall my visit was great. The lady that mentioned on a previous post that they were slow is a moron. It is a medical facility, not a fast food place. The entire staff was great. They listened, answered my questions and explained everything very well. Great Doctor. Awful office staff. They do not know what they are doing and need more training. They have wasted my time for 2 days already and i am still still trying to get a refund since they charged me twice and had the wrong insurance even though I handed them my insurance card. They assume instead of confirming what you actually have coverage for. I had to call my insurance so they can the the confirmation and my insurance assured me that, that is their job. From the moment I walked in, I felt I was treated very professionally. I was greeted and acknowledged at the front desk and told exactly what forms needed to be addressed. I was taken to the examination room where all test were explained prior to being administered by the nurse. The doctor introduced himself and spoke to me in language I could understand. When all tests were completed, I was informed of my current condition and my options. He then told me that he wanted to see me again next year. I'm actually astonished by all the negative reviews for this eye clinic. I found the staff to be very personable, professional, helpful and friendly. I had an emergency and the staff went over and above to work me in, even staying after closing to make sure I got an appointment the next day. The nurse/professional was very knowledgeable and talked me through all the procedures, readying me to see the ophthalmologist. The doctor I saw, Dr. Jalalat, was easy to talk to, and explained everything very clearly to me. I have diabetes, so I have to have a full eye checkup every year, and this was the most thorough checkup I've ever had. I know she was busy and behind schedule in her appointments, yet she took extra time to explain everything to me and let me ask all my questions. I never felt rushed or if I was wasting her time. I was calling around to see if my husband can walk in to see an opthamologist because he woke up with a really bloody looking left eye ( no i didnt punch him in his sleep ). I decided to call Atlantis Eyecenter which was close to his work. I was initially put on hold but the front desk was very professional and would come back on line to let me know how much longer i would be on hold. When the lady (didnt get her name) came back on, I told her my concern and she told she would get a doctor to answer my questions. I wanted to say thank you to Dr. Huynh who was nice enough to get on the phone to talk me and we found out my husband's eye condition wasn't a real emergency but just a popped eye blood vessel and just needed some warm compresses on the eye. Dr. Huynh saved us a trip to the ER and $. He said we can make appointment later on if we have any other concerns arise.
