Such a great environment and amazing staff. I've been coming to Norwalk Family Optometry for 2 years now and every time I come in the staff an extremely kind and patient. I went in today and was helped by Isabel who is the sweetest person really made sure I was comfortable through my exam and Dr. Tran explained the state of health of my eyes and answered all of my questions with confidence. Thank you to all of the staff for being such great people, See you next year! read more

Staff at the front were polite and welcoming. Dr. Mathur provided excellent care and service! Highly recommend him. read more

I don't recommend this place because they gave my daughter the wrong prescription for her contact lenses, I did not know they had a return policy but life happened to us, went through a rough divorce, we had to move and when I called to see if they can give me a refund on the contact lenses that don't fit nor my daughter can see with they refuse to give me a credit or refund so I can get the right prescription for my daughter. If they mess up on something, why is that the customers fault. My daughter has not been able to use those contact lenses for a long time and now that we are settled in our new place and she needs her contacts for school and we are short in money, this place can't make an exception for their mistake and give us credit. So sad. read more

I waited last minute to make an eye exam and I ran out of my contacts so I made an appointment and they had alot of open spots. Everyone was helpful and very kind Dr Tran I think? Was very nice and informative he was nice enough to give me a pair of two weeks contacts to hold me off lol. This is my new favorite optometry. I highly recommend this place. read more

Every visit is nothing short from spectacular! I've been coming to this optometry for about 5+ years and each visit has always been amazing. From the office's cleanliness to the incredible staff. Even during COVID, their services were exceptional, and the office remained clean and comfortable! I've been seen by both, Dr. Larcabal and Dr. Ashik, I cannot say anything but nice things. They were both so professional, respectable, informative, and kind. Honorable mentions-- the staff in the front of the house! Stella, Isabel, Margaret, and Crystall you are all the sweetest and most helpful ladies through this whole process. I am the most indecisive person when it comes to picking new frames, but these wonderful ladies were so kind and patient! They also helped me pick out the pair that I am still so obsessed with, to the point where I barely wear my contacts. Much love to the amazing staff!! Can't wait for my next visit!!! read more

Friendly staff, clean facility, honest doctor. It was a great experience for my dad. Definitely recommend

The office is well organized. Staff are courteous and prompt. Dr. Lisa Mak is a pleasant and professional optometrist, taking time to exam and test my eyes due to glaucoma. All clients info has been conveniently documented via Meta software. I highly recommend this place to those in need of eye needs. read more

Went in a few weeks ago for my 2 year olds annual eye exam. Everyone in the office is so kind , gentle attentive with the smaller kids. Check in process a new patient was fast and easy ! The moment we went in for my daughters measurements and to take pictures of her eyes the assistant, made my little one feel so comfortable and at ease. So seeing the Doctor was as a walk in the park . She was very animated and showed my little one pictures ,shapes ,and videos to review her eye vision. They also have a large variety of glasses to choose from. Can't wait to come back and bring my other little one as well. I would highly recommend them ! read more

My usual place didn't have availability for 2 months and I did not want to wait. I found this place through my insurance directory, and I am happy to have found them. First timers! Very accessible location, ample parking. I received a reminder call the day before my appointment, so much appreciated. Upon entering, very clean, spacious, love the brick interior. Met with very nice and hospitable staff, temp check, sanitized hands. Went through standard eye tests and had nice conversations. One of the friendliest and energetic doctors I've ever met, Dr. Aguilar. She was very patient, connected well, and laid out many prescription options. Very hospitable and had a great sense of humor. Got fitted for glasses. Staff was very informative, super friendly, and connected well. This is a gem of a place. The quote on the wall says it all, keeping their sense of prayerful mission. Support your local business in times of Covid. Definitely bringing the whole family here! read more

Five star service from a five star staff! Friendly and helpful service from Margaret at the front desk. Beautiful, clean and comfortable office. Excellent experience from beginning to end. Could not recommend this business more! read more

I would highly recommend this Optometry office! I've been coming with my family for years, and I can honestly say I keep coming back because of the people. My 7 year old will go and hug just about everyone but especially Dr. Aguilar and Ms Margaret. I've received amazing feedback when it comes to choosing the right frame size, color, and style for my features and the staff have gone through painstakingly great lengths to find the right frames for my kids. Overall, I've recommended this place to everyone I know. read more

Excellent service, easy to schedule an appointment (even outside of typical 9-5 work hours), lots of different frame styles available, and most insurances covered (VSP for sure). Special shout out to Crystall who helped us compare eye glass styles, with a professional and calming atmosphere at all time. These are all the major pros for coming to any optometrist and Norwalk Family Optometry has all of them. As an extra benefit, if you do get new glasses or contacts they offered to mail them free of charge to your home (as an alternative to needing to go back in to the office). As a patient just be aware that they use a machine to scan the back of your retina. While this is just one of many tests that involve shining bright light in and around your eyes, they did not (for me at least) provide adequate warning of the bright green light that was being used. Very startling the first time it was done. read more

I was looking for a new optometrist and I was so happy to choose Norwalk Family Optometry! Not only were the staff so friendly and welcoming when scheduling me in as a new patient, but everyone was also amazing once I arrived! The staff was so knowledgeable and helped me throughout the entire process. Ms. Margaret was especially helpful in making sure we pick the frames that made my daughter and I happy. My daughter and I ended up leaving with the cutest pair of glasses. Definitely recommend coming here and will be referring friends and family here! read more

Friendly Staff. My sister came here to get her Medicals prescription glasses. The lady who answered our phone call had a very warm tone of voice and went above and beyond by calling VSP to obtain a Authorization Release that a previous optometrist office placed on my sisters benefits. This office is very nice and clean. Overall great customer service, definitely recommend them ! read more

Found this place using Yelp, yay Yelp! From the moment I called to make an appointment, I knew it was gonna be great. The receptionist who answered was fantastic! Ugh, I wish I remembered her name. What I can remember is that she works weekdays only. What a sweetheart she was. So friendly and bubbly! Good thing is, upon arrival, all of the staff were pretty amazing. A very warm and nice bunch. The doctor was really nice and thorough. I felt very comfortable with her. And the best part is that I never felt like any of the staff were trying to upsell me on any service, test or product that I didn't need. Yea, that has happened at other optometry offices, yuck. Parking is plentiful. The interior of the offices are super cute! The wood floors and brick walls are so rustic, yet modern. The fish tank is also a nice touch. Oh yea, since this is an optometry office, I guess I should mention that there's a great selection of frames to choose from for both regular glasses and sunglasses. A few weeks after my visit, I received an email with images of my eyes from my visit, along with confirmation that everything is great. How nice! Needless to say, I'll be back here again. read more

I came here for a routine eye exam and because I was having someone irritation in on of my eyes. Michelle and Norma were very helpful throughout the whole process of scheduling the appointment, pre testing and even helping me with options for glasses. Dr. Mathur checked my prescription for any changes and made sure my eye did not have any severe issues per my irritation. A quick recommendation on some medicated eye drops and I was on my way. Awesome experience all around! My eye is feeling much better now! read more

Huge selection of glasses ! Super nice staff ! What more could you ask for! 10/10 would highly recommend!!!

I would give this place zero stars recently. My family and myself have been coming to this optometrist since before they moved locations. I don't know if they've gotten new employees or new management but they are very rude and quick to turn you away. I went in recently for my 5 year old as a walk in hoping she could be seen since her eye was incredibly red and clearly in pain. The woman ran her insurance and said no we can't see her today, try somewhere else. I had another interaction with them for another appointment and again rude and cold. read more

First time patient and very impressed! After having a not so good experience at a different optometry office I can say I found our new family optometrist. Very clean and organized office. Dr. Freeman was excellent! Very professional and patient. She was very thorough with the exam. Thank you so much Isabel for making the whole process much easier. She was really patient, friendly professional throughout the whole process. Thank you for such great service! Definitely recommend this office! read more

I've been to this place multiple times for eye visits and the staff and doctors are extremely professional and super friendly...I have extreme anxiety so it puts me at ease when I feel comfortable with the people working...recently due to the whole covid fiasco...my anxiety has spiked and I have not left my house...I had to change insurance and lost my number for the this eye doctor I live down the street but I was too nervous to walk. So luckily today, I was able to get a ride and when I went in I was greeted with a friendly staff member who took my temp and then was again greeted by another staff memberBreanne if I spelled that correctly, she was very helpful and kind I was asking her two questions and then I'd be on my way, I didn't get her name but another staff member came out and was SUPER rude to me and raised her voice saying why did I come in if I didn't have an appointment? I said sorry multiple times I didn't have the number she said I should have called and I again said sorry I did not have the number as I lost it and she said then get the number from the door out front, I said I'm so sorry I didn't know the door had the number(which when I left and checked it didn't) she said next time don't come in unless I called and it doesn't matter if I came for questions everything needs to be done by appointments now due to covid, and that if I have any questions next time not to come in and to call only because they need to maintain how many people are in the facility (there was only one patient in the lobby besides me and 3 receptionist)...she made me feel very stupid and dumb and yes when I left I cried. I understand there is a pandemic and she must have been worried but I'm a person who cannot see without glasses and I was just trying to get help, she was so rude and unprofessional...Breanne on the other hand was super kind and helpful and I'm very happy she stayed and helped me with my two questions and helped me set up an appointment. She in a way, made up for the rudeness of her colleague. Though I would want to give 5 stars I cannot because of the treatment I received from the one staff member. But again thank you to Breanne! read more

I am a long time patient. The staff and doctors are very welcoming, professional, friendly and courteous. I always look forward to my appointments. Covid safety is their #1 for the patients. I highly recommend Norwalk Family Optometry. As a matter of fact, they have seven additional patients that I referred. So go ahead call and schedule an appointment. You will not be disappointed. read more

I have been a patient for more than 25 years. I visited most recently on 1/18/21. The safety procedures were all in place, temperatures were checked on entry, all furniture was separated and the staff cleaned equipment and glasses we tried on and sanitized them. My family were the only group seen during our time slot. No one came in without a prescheduled appointment and pick ups were all carried outside to the waiting customers at curbside. Wonderful team!! They worked like a well-oiled machine. read more

Love how friendly and attentive the staff is here every time I have called in or gone in for something. From the first time I called to make an appointment they were so nice on the phone. During this whole pandemic I had a few questions as to what I needed to bring or what I needed to do for my appointment. They walked me thru everything and answered all my questions. She even went above beyond to show me how it get prescription sunglasses and what my insurance covers! So glad I found my new Optometrist location! Thank you to the sweet staff read more

Amazing staff, they're all very nice and provide awesome customer service. My son, Rowan, came in for his baby eye visit last year. I found their office through the eye program for babies and then looked them up on yelp. Saw a 5 star review and it was a plus that they were very close to home. So I booked the appointment. Hubby took him since I was sick. Few months down the road, I finally decide to get my eyes checked (it's been a few years). The office was small but brightly lit, spacious and very clean. They have equipment I've never seen before so I guess they're pretty high tech. Dr. Larcabal himself was pretty cool. Very friendly and efficient. I'm disappointed to find out I have a slight prescription in my left eye but other than that, I was very happy with my exam and overall visit. Will return in a few months for Rowan's follow up exam. Will get the hubby in too! read more

This place failed to tell us that they didn't have the right size frame for my toddler. The frames they sold us were 8 sizes too big. When we went back, instead of trying to order the correct size for him, they just bent the temples like crazy and told us to buy a strap for the back. Would not recommend for toddlers. However, the staff was nice and friendly. read more

I found this place on Yelp and so far I've had great experiences each time I go. I saw Dr. Stevens for an eye exam and she was professional, approachable and explained everything well. The front desk staff are also professional and have great customer service. That is very important to me as a customer. Overall, I would recommend this cute clean spot. Oh and they have a coffee machine (great touch!). read more

Me and my family have been using this office for about 15 years and I highly recommend them. Staff: Always friendly and helpful. Even though I personally don't need it, they are bilingual at the front desk. Technology: They are always updating the equipment that check the health of your eyes. They use current technology to detect any issues in the eyes which is equally important to your vision. The doctors: Always friendly, knowledgeable and explain things to you when you have questions. The office: Always clean and modern looking. That means a lot to me. It's warm and inviting vs. cold and boring decor. Fish tanks are a nice touch. Product: They have a decent selection of glasses/sunglasses from which to chose. I'm sure most people would be able to find something that compliments their face. Staff offers good recommendations to help with the selection process. Bottom line: The overall "experience" of Visit this eye doctors office is excellent! I highly recommend this office for the professionalism, customer service, and expertise. read more

Went here because it's super close to where I live, my insurance (VSP) is accepted here and the reviews seemed really good. Great experience from beginning to end. The parking lot is a decent size (it's located in a small plaza, but I went on a quiet Monday morning, so not sure how busy it can get there.) The place is very clean & well lit. Everyone there is super nice and friendly. Every step of the way, whoever was working with me explained what they were doing, why they were doing it, and what all my options were. They answered all my questions and made me feel like they genuinely cared about my needs and concerns. Overall I'm glad I chose this place and would gladly return. So, I had Lasik in 2016 but came back to the office in 2018 so they can check my eye health and I can get some sunglasses with a light prescription through my insurance. It was my first time meeting Dr. Larcabal and he is just the most pleasant optometrist I have ever met in my life.
