I can't believe we just discovered this place a week ago. My family and I have been there twice within the last 7 days. They have yummy treats sure to please everyone in your party. They have a few tables and chairs to dine at outside of the restaurant. The inside is small and is just meant to serve efficiently and get you going. They have macaroons, baklava, cake slices, whole cakes, alcoholic treats, coffee, and more. The service has been nice both visits. They let you have time to decide what you'll be purchasing. Everything is super fresh, and they have such a huge selection that you'll always find something new to try. We came here at 6:58pm on Thursday evening. Keep in mind their hours stated on the door that they were open until 7 PM. As we walked in the door, which was still unlocked the two girls at the counter told us that they were closed and they were unwilling to help us, even though there was a fully stocked counter of bakery goods. It was my mom's birthday so we were looking for just a few slices and a few treats. Right after walking out, both workers ran to their car and drove off. I called yesterday to verify their hours and they said 9am and on yelp it says 9am... so I got the family loaded in the car and headed to the bakery! The sign out front said open and there was a sign in the doorway that said open.. so I walked up at 8:50 and anxiously waited to try this new place along with another lady who also was under the impression they opened at 9. The employee came promptly to the door at 9am and advised us they don't open till 11. She was very rude and stated the hours changed "monday" yet when I called yesterday they stated 9am. unfortunately I won't be returning after the rude service I received!! editing to respond to owner: I did not call the wrong bakery, I made sure it was the chino one because I wanted to make sure I had the right hours before driving there. As far as the employee goes, i'm sure she is, we all have bad days! I just was very disappointed that your site, yelp and your employee I spoke to yesterday did not have the correct information. Let me start off by saying that this establishment has the highest quality of service I've ever received in a bakery. The staff is friendly and helpful. The environment is clean and bright. Though I enjoyed the service of the staff thoroughly, there is one reason why I will not go back to the establishment until it is remedied, which I am hopeful that they will someday. Initially, I went with a friend and I ordered the chocolate roll and the pistachio rum ball. The chocolate roll was good but the pistachio rum ball had intense pockets in it which tasted like what would seem to be Fabulosa, not that I have ever tasted Fabulosa but it was heavily perfumed like Fabulosa and toxic tasting. It was so intense I just had to toss it. I addressed this with the owner via phone and she was very adamant in saying that they keep the cleaning solution separate from any ingredients. She invited me to come in again for a substitute on the house on my next visit. She suggested that it may have been the rum or the pistachio flavoring, but apologized profusely for the experience and told me that my feedback was appreciated. I came in a second time and ordered things non-rum and non-pistachio. Again, the same experience, one item tasting fine and the other smelling and tasting like Fabulosa. How can this possibly be? Please remedy this problem. I am not the only customer who has complained of this if you read the reviews. You are a wonderful establishment in service but something needs to be investigated and addressed. The service would have received a 5, but I could not give an average score of 3 because the taste of the items were unacceptable. Best wishes! read more

Sigh.... I would say this place used to be a 4 star, but it's progressively going down. Their macaron shell is soggy and old. There's no crisp at all. You can even tell it's old because the shell is different color from where the soggy parts are. I bought 2 and both had the same issues. Sadly really wanted to love this place, but they failed me. We ordered a baklava, fruit tart, chocolate chip cookie, Nutella banana tart, apricot pastry, and Dubai chocolate strawberry cup. The total was $37. The Dubai chocolate cup was $20 in of itself. The strawberries were fresh and they were generous with the toppings. My issue was with the chocolate which lacked in flavor. Now for the rough part, everything else. The cookie tasted at least 4 days old, very stale, overcooked, and bland. The baklava also tasted bland and very dry, not fresh at all as you'd hope they would be. The fruit tart crust tasted like pure cardboard. :( the custard tasted old and spoiled and was hard to the touch indicating it was very old. The banana tart was saved by Nutella, but barely. The banana mixture was very thin and barely there, also could not finish. Finally, the apricot pastry had a nice filling, but the pastry itself tasted chemically. Overall, a waste of almost $40. read more
