Always had great service there, I have a few locations closer, but go there every time. My last visit left a lot to be desired. There was a young girl serving and the two young guys in front of me ordered chicken bowls and received two full spoonfuls of chicken each (but did not order double). She then announced no chicken so I waited and when it was ready didn't even get a full spoonful. When I asked for more she told me she had to charge me double which I declined. Be consistent, don't overload your friends then try and charge me extra. read more

4 stars for the food. Chipotle seems to be a well-run chain that maintains consistency across different locations. I go for the food and have never eaten inside. That said, some of the locations, including Salem, could do a better job of simply cleaning up - especially the floors. Only other small gripe is the portion size of the protein. read more

Unsurprising given the other reviews for this location, so really, shame on me for not doing any thorough research before deciding to patron this establishment. If you do not care to read on, let me save you the trouble...we did not get our $29 worth. Upon arrival, the cleanliness of this location was below par to say the least. I will say, the young woman who served my friend and I was welcoming and polite. The real gripe I have with this location is the quality, and let's face it, quantity of food served. I understand as much as the next person a restaurant will serve a specified portion per company standard, but how on gods green earth is half a scoop of chicken reasonably enough for anyone?? Don't worry, the beans and pico de gallo flooded the bottom of my bowl, and as I type this I can feel the cheese clogging my arteries. Now I can't speak for the bowl my friend had, but as she put it we were skimped in every way possible. While I'm not sure how this is possible, the chips were stale while simultaneously undercooked?? Not sure how this is possible, but still we continue. The real icing on the cake for me was when I sat down to absolutely annihilate the chicken bowl I had been day dreaming of upon waking this morning. I'm not sure how many people will remember how cold it has been in Salem NH the past week, but it was so cold that somehow all the food at this location has been cursed to be as cold as the weather. If it's at all possible, the chicken on our bowls was somehow colder than the cheese when it first came out of the walk in fridge. To be fair, 30 seconds in the microwave made it slightly warm for a full minute. Maybe I need a better microwave.... If you made it this far, congratulations you can probably add this review to your 2025 reading list. All in all, I will not return to this location and will instead drive literally anywhere else in New England to patron a different Chipotle. read more

This was disgusting. We walked in and every table was covered in food. Even the counter where you were paying was covered in food. I ordered a burrito and didn't add extra anything but the person at the counter couldn't roll the burrito. It was a mess and they looked at me and said, "want it double wrapped?" Umm... no. No I don't want to add a whole tortilla to my order because you can't wrap a burrito right in your filthy restaurant. I just didn't take the burrito. Hard pass. I'm not paying $13 for a burrito that looks stepped on. This was not an isolated incident. Chipotle has gotten worse and worse over the years, but this was the straw that broke the camel's back. I won't be coming back to any location. They can't roll burritos and now they don't even care if you're standing in a filthy restaurant. Chipotle should be ashamed of themselves. Came in last week and ordered a chicken bowl, the crew working (assuming they were highschool or young college kids) were chatting amongst themselves and the young man helping me didn't notice and forgot to put chicken in my bowl. No harm done, they're kids whatever. I called chipotle and they offered me a BOGO which i would have preferred a free meal coupon or a refund. I stopped in this place for the first time last night along with my sister and a friend. I had really been looking forward to a Chipotle burrito for some time and travelled 25 minutes to get there. Here's a brief summary of my experience: As I entered the front door, the large door handle just about detached from the door. Please fix before someone gets hurt. Once inside, the first thing I noticed was the filth; tables smeared with food, overflowing trash bins, etc,. More on this in a moment. Prior to placing my order, I was told that they were out of steak, white rice and sour cream. Ok, no problem - chicken burrito with brown rice it is. As I moved through the line, I learned that corn, lettuce and mild salsa were also unavailable. Hmm.. not looking too good, here. I thought I would get a bag of chips, but was told they were only available for online order. This was despite a massive pile of chips sitting directly behind the cashier. Finally, I was told there were no forks. Really? When my sister asked how she was supposed to eat her bowl, the cashier gave her a blank stare and a one word answer - spoon. Nice. Finally, they were out of napkins as well. TLDR; very poorly run, filthy, lousy service. The staff, all of whom looked to be late teens/early twenties, did not appear happy to be there and took no steps to address any of the above issues while I was at the restaurant. So tried Chipotle again and ordered online (required) for a noon take away lunch. A chicken burrito and pork bowl, chips and guacamole. Service- my order was on time and I picked it up with no contact from staff. The burrito and bowl was fresh and tasted pretty good. Not much meat however. Some of the chips were stale (Boo!!! ) and the guacamole was fresh but had a huge chunk of unripe and hard avocado in the dish. read more

Ok. So first let me say, I fully recognize and fully expect that opening a new business in the middle of a pandemic is hard, and despite this review, we will definitely continue to support this location as they find their sea legs. But if I'm being honest, last night was probably one of the worst experiences I've had in a while, trying to get take-out from the chain in general. First, the place was completely out of half of their standard ingredients from their lineup (I'm talking white rice and salsa kind of basics). And for what they did have, they were clearly trying to ration servings for the ingredients did have remaining. Second, the workers were clearly new and were still learning some of the basics for working at a place like this (which isn't bad on its own), but there did not seem to be a manager around anywhere to help guide and train and help them (and we were there for a solid 20 minutes waiting to be served), and once we were being served, they were so busy talking to each other that they didn't even get our order right (e.g., the put the wrong ingredients in the wrong bowls). Again, we will continue to support this new location as it is much closer to home than the next nearest one, but wanted to share for transparency. (Note, we also tried to order online for pickup like available for most other locations, but it was not available as of 7:30pm yesterday, Friday night.) read more

A recurring theme with reviews of this location, the first thing you notice is how dirty it is. Most tables in the place have food smeared on them. We were told that the POS system was down, since we had to place the order through the app. Okay, fine. The only problem was that we weren't able to. It seemed there was a problem with more than just the POS system. We've never had an experience like this at any Chipotle. We drove down the street and got steak bombs at Market Basket for half the price. read more

This Chipotle location just gets worse! Good luck finding this restaurant open - the hours are weird and get updated all the time/when the employees feel like it. Today I placed an online order (as it was required on my previous visits!), and when I arrived a sign was taped to the pick-up shelf telling me to go on the Chipotle website for a refund. The website only brings me to a contact form - there is no human to speak with on the phone or even via email. What's worse is that the employees were rude, refused to honor our online orders that were already paid for, and even claimed they don't "know anything" about the online ordering system. We had to wait in line, reorder our food, and pay AGAIN! I have still not received a refund and will have to dispute this charge with my credit card company. To make matters worse, the counter at this location was disgusting. There was leftover food all over it, including meat and cheese, and they were not wiping it down at all. This was the dirtiest Chipotle I've ever been to, which is a shame considering it is in Tuscan Village. Even before you walk in, you can tell how dirty and dusty it is just by looking at the front door and it just gets worse once you're inside. I went at a relatively quiet time and found the employees there to be unpleasant and they had a could care less attitude. However, there was one nice young man, who might have been the manager, and he was helpful in explaining the order process, but the lady who was doing the serving rolled her eyes right at me. I decided to eat outside since the tables inside were dirty. The tables weren't as bad outside but still somewhat dirty. There was a designated trash area outside but no bins so I had to go inside where the trash bin there was overflowing. There was a Chipotle employee who was putting his trash on top of the overflow, and I just asked if they were going to put a bin outside, and he just muttered that he is on break and walked away. He gave off such a negative vibe and looked miserable. Who I assume to be the manager has a bad attitude and when I asked about their rewards she gave me and the girl working at the cash register attitude when I was being super nice and polite. Me and my gals went to chipotle post practice. Looking forward to a great chipotle experience, when I then was met by the most unpleasant women I think I have ever encountered. I'm assuming she was the manager considering she was pushing 35-40 years old. She was simply mean and so disrespectful. No customer service skills whatsoever. You have to scan the code, then download their app (extremely slow). So slow that we're currently at another restaurant and the damn app is still not downloaded. Worst experience with a restaurant, ever. I don't blame it on the workers in the building but on management and leadership. I had a bad experience the first week opened but I understand. Gave theM a second chance since they have been open 1+ months. Ordered online at 745 pm. Estimated order ready at 815. Walked in at 815 to 20 angry people who have been waiting 60 mins plus and orders are coming out for 715 Est time at 815. Most people waiting 1+ hrs. Plus there is 20 meals on the shelf with more added every minute. Tried several times to cancel order. Online help app is terrible, just terrible. So frustrating. Also, I feel for the 3 workers doing their best making the orders but I am confused why 2 other workers are 1 cleaning grill and 2 sweeping the floor during this crisis. Again, no manager on site. I respect COVID is a challenge , but my experience was not COVID related. I went for lunch with my son and had a good experience food was good, service friendly and efficient. Dinner was different. I took my wife after work and walked up to the store to be greeted by a handwritten sign that said "online only". Both of us had left our phones at home so we walked in expecting that someone in there would understand and take our order. About a half dozen employees worked hard to ignore us until we flagged one down and asked to order. She said it's online only and that there was a sign on the door. We explained we had left our phones at home so could she please just take our order. She refused. As we headed out the door, it dawned on me that surely a reasonable manger must be on site so I asked to speak to her. I explained we had left our phones at home and asked if she would take our order. She said no citing staffing issues ( curious that she wouldn't take our order but would have a conversation as to why she wouldn't). I asked a second time and she pointed to the food table at the front of the store and said she didn't have food in the table. I pointed to the other table for take out 10 feet away and said there is food right there. Apparently this was enough for her to explain to me that I was being extremely rude and she invited me to leave and never return to the store again. She proudly gave me her name, Nicole, in the event I wanted to complain about her. Anyone can see that this is just no way to run a business, COVID or non-COVID.
